The resort seems to be fairly new and still in construction. We had ants in our room for the entire stay and called everyday for someone to call resolve the issue. I also noticed that other guests were shown around the property and we were not. The hospitality could have been much better.

There is a guard at the gate all day and night which made us feel safe. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed our room and the view from our room. The pictures do no justice, I mean beautiful view! I do wish they had all inclusive options but it was close to town which is what we were looking for and we rented a golf cart and had a blast. I would recommend a golf cart for you to be able to get everywhere you need to go but I do like that everything is accessible by cart and you don't have to depend on a taxi or driver. It's really easy to maneuver around town as well but keep in mind you will have to catch a seaplane(15min) or ride the ferry for an hour and a half to get to San Pedro. I will return to this hotel!

Great property and staff! 1st time my husband and I had been to Belize, and we knew from other reviews we would need a golf cart from this location. It was about a 15-minute golf ride into the heart of San Pedro. Most restaurants are in San Pedro, so plan on a golf cart. This location makes the trip to Secret Beach shorter. That's a must-see as well (Blue Bayou restaurant!).
Room was very nice and clean, cleaning crew came every day, did laundry if you needed (there is a locked laundry room in each of the units). 2 pools and hottub - great. Couple things that could have been better - construction next door everyday (the resort is expanding) heads up from the resort would have been nice. The listing for the resort says you have access to work out facility, kayaks, bikes and onsite restaurants. The restaurants are in the \"sister resort (much bigger), which were expensive and not good. The kayaks and bikes are also there on the ocean side; the bay would have been perfect for kayaking, but that wasn't possible. The workout facility seemed to be for the owners of the condos.... You didn't have access, so you had to search for a security guard to let you in.
Sunset Caribe was in the process of expanding, so there was construction with a new building going up the whole time we were there - not very peaceful.
All-in-all, really a great spot despite a few things I would have changed.

Really everything stood out here. It was our first trip to Ambergris Caye and property and pools were great. Staff very accommodating. Their sister resort is across the street on the ocean side but winds are very strong at this time of year. We just got back from Sunset Caribe. Beautiful hotel, amazing staff and great amenities. The pool is beautiful, no sun until the afternoon though. The hot tub is huge. We did go across to the other hotel for the beach but the water is pretty murky so we didn’t swim there. The room was clean and very comfortable. The restaurants in the area were all good and many are easily walkable. The town is about a 10-15 golf cart ride away. I’d highly recommend a snorkeling tour and a day visit to Caye Caulker.
