The hotel was absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed our room and the view from our room. The pictures do no justice, I mean beautiful view! I do wish they had all inclusive options but it was close to town which is what we were looking for and we rented a golf cart and had a blast. I would recommend a golf cart for you to be able to get everywhere you need to go but I do like that everything is accessible by cart and you don't have to depend on a taxi or driver. It's really easy to maneuver around town as well but keep in mind you will have to catch a seaplane(15min) or ride the ferry for an hour and a half to get to San Pedro. I will return to this hotel!

Great property and staff! 1st time my husband and I had been to Belize, and we knew from other reviews we would need a golf cart from this location. It was about a 15-minute golf ride into the heart of San Pedro. Most restaurants are in San Pedro, so plan on a golf cart. This location makes the trip to Secret Beach shorter. That's a must-see as well (Blue Bayou restaurant!).
Room was very nice and clean, cleaning crew came every day, did laundry if you needed (there is a locked laundry room in each of the units). 2 pools and hottub - great. Couple things that could have been better - construction next door everyday (the resort is expanding) heads up from the resort would have been nice. The listing for the resort says you have access to work out facility, kayaks, bikes and onsite restaurants. The restaurants are in the \"sister resort (much bigger), which were expensive and not good. The kayaks and bikes are also there on the ocean side; the bay would have been perfect for kayaking, but that wasn't possible. The workout facility seemed to be for the owners of the condos.... You didn't have access, so you had to search for a security guard to let you in.
Sunset Caribe was in the process of expanding, so there was construction with a new building going up the whole time we were there - not very peaceful.
All-in-all, really a great spot despite a few things I would have changed.

Really everything stood out here. It was our first trip to Ambergris Caye and property and pools were great. Staff very accommodating. Their sister resort is across the street on the ocean side but winds are very strong at this time of year. We just got back from Sunset Caribe. Beautiful hotel, amazing staff and great amenities. The pool is beautiful, no sun until the afternoon though. The hot tub is huge. We did go across to the other hotel for the beach but the water is pretty murky so we didn’t swim there. The room was clean and very comfortable. The restaurants in the area were all good and many are easily walkable. The town is about a 10-15 golf cart ride away. I’d highly recommend a snorkeling tour and a day visit to Caye Caulker.

The jacuzzi was nice and hot! The food served around the pool came out fast, fresh with excellent flavor! I have visited San Pedro about 8 times in the past 2.5 years but i am glad they finished the sunset caribe. I said i couldn't wait to stay here the next time i visited and I am glad i did! It was hands down the best hotel i stayed in since visiting San Pedro. Now its a no brainer when I visit. Its Sunnset Caribe or NOTHING!

The staff was average. They were not very friendly or welcoming. No late check out offered. They gave 2 physical keys. One of which didn’t work. The door could also only be locked with that key, you had to push all you body weight into it to get it closed. You had to park outside golf carts very far away from the hotel buildings. The elevators had no AC. It was extremely hot and humid. Pool staff were very dry and slow. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Convince of hotel location. Overall. Would not stay here again.

It’s a beautiful resort lobby smells amazing. Staff was very helpful , clean, beautiful views, but they do need an on-site restaurant of some sort. Also, you are allowed to go to the sister hotel if you want to eat at one of the restaurants or if you want to spend money, but you’re not allowed to go on the beach of the sister hotel. Sunset Caribe is not on the beach . Nice stay, I would stay again but at the sister resort.

My stay at Sunset Caribe was amazing. I had a two bedroom suite. All of questions prior to arrival were answered in a timely fashion. I would suggest communicating with the property via email to receive a faster response. They offer a free laundry service and welcome drink. I recommend renting a golf cart from them so you can park closer to your room. Everything was perfect except one thing....... The water pressure sucks. Its like somebody is spitting on you in the shower. That beautiful establishment with sucky water pressure. The customer service, housekeeping, shuttle service and the restaurant staff and food was amazing. Ill definitely be staying again.
