We had a great stay at Ramon's. The property was clean, well maintained, and comfortable throughout our visit. The staff was friendly and always willing to help.

The restaurant was also excellent, serving great food with a wide variety of options. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and we would definitely stay here again.

Let’s start with the good. The resort is gorgeous and in a perfect location. However, customer service was terrible, and that is being kind. Every time we interacted with the staff they acted like we were inconveniencing them. They were not helpful in any way. We expected much better from the level of resort it was and the price we paid. In addition we were not aware that the resort does not serve alcohol. Not a big deal but would have been nice to know ahead of time as the website does not readily mention it. Also the rooms do not have TVs in them.

The most beautiful and relaxing resort in San Pedro! The grounds are gorgeous, rooms clean and comfy, staff is very nice, helpful, fun, and accommodating. They picked us up and dropped us off at the airport by golfcart. We enjoyed the pool, rented our own golf cart for the week, ate at Pineapples several times - all were amazing!

Although we got a golf cart to explore all of Ambergris Caye, we could have walked most places from Ramon's fantastic location.

The wind pattern had caused a ton of sargassum to accumulate on the beaches, but Ramon's staff was diligent to remove it as quickly as possible. The beach was relatively clean the entire week (where at other resorts and restaurants, the sargassum just accumulated and caused stink and an eye sore).

We couldn't have asked for a better place to be. It was a fabulous vacation. Thank you!!!

The property itself was beautiful but unfortunately at this time of year (early May) there was a lot of sargassum so we did not enjoy the resort's beach. The pool was a nice sub.

The food at the local restaurants in San Pedro were better than the resort's restaurant but it was convienent and decent. Important to note that at the resort bar and restaurant they do not sell any hard liquor, only beer and wine.

In comparison to another 4 star Belizian resort we had just stayed at, we did feel it was not as luxurious but overall clean, beautiful views, and fun diving experiences available.

Beautiful property. You feel like you're away from the busy city. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Sargassum can be an issue but they cleared the beach quickly and often. No fishy smell compared to other resorts. Tropical Al's had delicious drinks. We didnt sit down to eat at Pineapples but got take out to eat on the beach. Food was great. We would definitely book there again.

We loved this hotel! It’s in a great location so if you wanted to walk to dinner, drinks, shops, etc, you can. Others hotels seem far away. We checked out a lot of resort/hotels while here for our next trip and can honestly say we will probably book Ramon’s again. From the moment you pull in, you feel the excellence with a full fledge jungle feel pulling off the road. The rooms are cute and the pool is amazing. There isn’t a “jacuzzi”, however, there’s a back park of the pool tucked away that has warm water blowing out and it’s really cozy! Feels like one. The AC’s are cranking in the room and work well. It’s nice to have snorkeling excursions, restaurant, bar, coffee shop, gift shop all on premise. 10/10! Remember, this is Belize, not Miami!

Beautiful resort, but frustrating logistics. The grounds feel like a hidden tropical jungle—the perfect quiet getaway right on the water. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the scenery. We struggled with poor shower pressure for days until the housekeeping staff finally resolved it on our last day. Additionally, be careful booking through Expedia; our 'included breakfast' disappeared from the final paperwork, leading to unexpected costs. Come for the views, but keep a close eye on your booking details

Loved jumping off the pier! It’s the perfect location for walking to eat in town but the food at pineapples is great if you don’t want to leave - best of both worlds! Felt like a quiet haven under the trees also when you step off the busy streets during rush hour. We would absolutely return

One of the prettiest beach fronts in San Pedro. Resort very authentic and tropical. Loved enjoying morning lattes on their deck and lounging under shady palm trees in the afternoon. Staff very friendly. Rooms air conditioned but can be a bit humid but worth the design with thatch roofs. Very cute!

Really nice waterfront property. Has a really nice feel to it with the hatched roof and really good spots to sit.

One hiccup was the pickup from airport, the staff just didn't show up though they knew ahead of time what flight I was coming on and confirmed it. But I did not get any message from them when I landed and had to walk with luggage to the property.

Food, staff and service was good, no issues to report here.

The beach area is not good for swimming i.e. water does not look clean & swimmable though that is a problem across San pedro, it is filled with weeds and smells really bad. The resort keeps the beach weed free and not smelly.

Everyone who works there is professional and friendly, and always available to assist with whatever you need. The property is right on the water and is beautiful, quiet and convenient. Special shout out to the dive shop - we had amazing trips snorkeling. Dennis our guide was the best. Also would highly recommend Mary and Addy for their massage skills! The resort itself was wonderful- tropical, beautifully maintained. Our suite was spacious, clean, well appointed and had an awesome view. Staff was indifferent- front desk wasn’t overly helpful nor were people in the dive shop. We did have a great server at the restaurant and our guide on our snorkel trip, Carlos, was awesome! The pool and surrounding area was very nice. The beach was an unfortunately affected by all the sargassum. The staff worked diligently at cleaning it up though.

Great location, can walk along the beach easily to most locations or take a golf cart. The rooms were authentic and the pool was a big hit for the entire family. The staff was extremely friendly. This was our first time in Belize and we will definitely be back and would definitely choose Ramon’s Village again.

We only stayed for 1 night do to a schedule change but it was pleasant except for no TV in the room. The staff was helpful and punctual which is nice when we’re catching our early morning flight. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and quiet giving its right off the main road.

We didn’t eat at the restaurant or drink at the bar or use their amenities so can’t comment on those.

Our family of 3 had an amazing week at Ramon’s. Despite being in the heart of town near the airport, the resort was very quiet and it was always easy to find an open hammock or beach chair. The team at the dive shop was very knowledgeable coordinating 3 snorkel trips for us. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Hilton Mahogany Bay and Ramons.. 2nd time we have done that. Will not be doing it again. The Hilton is worn out! Will stay at Ramons only next time.

The grounds are beautiful.. love the lights and music in the pathways. They location may seem like it would be too loud.. not so. We really enjoy it here.

Ramon's Village is truly one of a kind. We loved the cabins and jungle feel in the heart of San Pedro. The room was cute and had a lockable safe, microwave, and refrigerator. It was convenient to walk to many restaurants and shops. They take great care in maintaining the grounds. Everything was clean, both indoors and outdoors. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food prices were about what I expected for a nice resort, and everything was delicious. My boyfriend especially loved the smoothies from Tropic Al's. We did not do any tours through Ramon's, but the pool was lovely and there were plenty of chairs on the beach and around the property. No issues with bugs/mosquitos during our stay! There was also a water spout outside the cabin to clean your feet and avoid tracking sand into the room. A staff member met us at the water taxi terminal and within 5 minutes we were at the resort. Very convenient!

We loved our room in the jungle setting with a glimpse of the ocean from our porch. Beautiful resort, pool area, and beach, in tropical setting. So convenient to the town, restaurants and shops, yet serene with a great dock for snorkeling and diving activities. Very friendly staff that made us feel welcome and relaxed. Saw a sting ray, and tarpons, as well as smaller fish from the dock. Loved the Hol Chan & Stingray alley tour. The guides were fun, professional, and made us feel safe; yet we saw a ton of nurse sharks and stingrays up close. Great location for snorkeling excursions. Pineapple restaurant served delicious lunch and we enjoyed the smoothie bar in the daytime. At night we had a glass of wine overlooking the water then hung out by the pool watching a fight that was on. Walked along the beach to other restaurants too. Great place to start out your Ambergris Caye trip if you plan on going north later, like we did, or stay your whole trip there. Great base for excursions and easy to walk into to town. We didn’t need a golf cart until we left the resort for northern Ambergris Caye.

EXTREMELY loud. It’s right beside a busy road and the noise is constant and late into the night. Also beside the airport so you are listening to planes all day and it starts early morning.
Didn’t see any staff smile nor engage. Was sad after coming from caye caulker & it being so lively & friendly.
Beds were good. Room was dated and mirrors peeling but it was clean. Sargassum was thick & the wind never stops so the beach wasn’t as lovely as it was on caye caulker west. They should inform guests when they are spraying chemicals for mosquitos throughout the property, the worker was in a mask but there was no notices given to us.

Pros: great beach location, lots of places to relax at the resort outside of hotel rooms, teen-approved smoothie bar, fun decor, attentive staff, clean and well maintained, easy on-site access to snorkel and scuba excursions, quick walk into town, less than 3 minute walk to airport (although they’ll try to take you on a golf cart)

Cons: subpar expensive restaurant- we only ate there one day then found other options; no hot tub (with a hot tub this place would be amazing!), no blackout curtains, sleeper sofa where my son slept was in bad shape- the head of the bed was lower than the foot. He made it work but I couldn’t have slept in it.

Also note: The island is prone to power outages. Lanterns are provided.

The electricity went out first night we were staying. Property turned pitch black including our rooms. Apparently this is a common problem since they provide a small lantern in the rooms. We had to take cold showers. They have a generator but only powers the restaurant and office.

The room gets hot quickly without a running AC. We managed to fall asleep. The power resumed at 2 am and made us jump in the bed. When I get up to turn off the lights, I saw a cockroach climbing up to my bed.

We had trouble sleeping in the rooms because of the wall A/C unit placed right over the head of the bed. Ear plugs are a must.

Unless you are a hardcore diver, I would say stay away from this over rated hotel.

Being inexperienced divers they went out of their way to ensure we felt comfortable and safe.

The grounds were outstanding! The entire beach as well as the entire inner pathways were raked and cleaned every morning. We even witnessed the removal of coconuts and palm leaves being removed before they may have became a problem. Also witnessed the cart path to the lobby being dug up by 2 men with shovels and re-raked back to a smooth soft path. The pier was also beautifully kept and lighted for a night stroll out to the large covered viewing area (dock) at the end.
The wait staff at the onsite restaurant were really friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. There are many sitting areas on the beach as well as around the pool, all very nice and there is also quite a few hammocks to lounge in.
All in all this was a great place to stay!
The only exception was the staff at the smoothie/coffe/beer store. These people always acted as if they were doing you a favor when charging for everything they prepared.
I would also say that the air handlers, A/C units inside of the rooms need a serious cleaning! At least in the 2 rooms we and our friends had stayed in. They were moldy and filters were dirty.

The staff was fabulous! They were helpful, informative, friendly, and funny. The rooms could use a bit of love, but the beds were very comfortable. There was a sandy beach with snorkeling right off the beach. They offered many excursions, arranged our plane from the mainland, rented us a golf cart and kept it fueled. The gift shop has a bit of everything. The food was very good, and the smoothies were delicious. There is a smallish pool, abundant lounge chairs, and live music in the evening. The only thing lacking is a full bar. Beer and wine are available. Our grandkids loved the place and want to go back!
