Our stay at Ocean Tides was great! The Sea view from our balcony on the 2nd floor was amazing. Tula and her staff were fantastic and accommodating to any request. Our room was updated, clean and comfortable. Location was perfect, close to town and walkable to restaurants and nightlife along Boca Del Rio.

Oceanside was a quaint ocean side hotel that was just what the Doctor ordered. Nothing but nice things to say about the staff and resort. Raymond was the DUDE at the pool side bar and the drinks did not disappoint. We extended a day and were able to stay on the 2nd and 3rd floors and there was no drop off, just a better view. The Cool Beans peir restaurant in front of the hotel was the bomb. Their sushi night was amazing and we got in just as lobster season was ending, so we were lucky. All rooms are beach front but unfortunately the hotel doesn't have dedicated balconies for each room. But if you want to be in the middle of the San Pedro action, this is the place to be!! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Tula is amazing person who runs a clean, quaint boutique hotel on the beach. Her staff is genuine, gracious and helpful. Beds are comfortable with ample pillows. Morning coffee is hot and delicious. The hammocks are clean and comfy on the patio. The pool gets shade. The bar is always stocked. Easy access to all!

The Blue Hole room was just like the advertised photos the staff were all great people. Friendly engaging and the housekeeping girls were very clean and happy to come back a little later if need be. The pool was refreshing and there was plenty of coffee available from 7 to 10 am it could have available earlier? Many thanks again to Tula Raymond and all the staff for making our stay in San Pedro a great experience

Great location, easy walk to bars, restaurants and downtown. Problem’s with AC and TV when first arrived but they fixed them and gave us free drinks at the bar. Helpful arranging cab. We Dumped the humidifier several times a day. Not sure the room floor was ever mopped as walking barefoot in the room gave us really dirty feet.

Really great little spot, rooms are amazing, and modern great view of the ocean. Bartender and manager are very lovely and welcoming. Some comments say it's noisey at night, but bar now closes promptly at 9pm which is perfect. There are tons of restaurants/bars minutes away with events every night. Only small negative, pool deck doesn't get a ton of sun in the afternoon, get out there early!

Nice little ocean front spot. Rooms were renovated and clean. Pool area with bar was nice. The pool needed to be cleaned, however, so we chose not to get in it. Bartender offered a complimentary drink upon arrival, but didnt offer anything after that, nor did he attempt to engage with us. Apppears as though locals gather there and guests are not forefront. Security at night was great and very friendly. Close to many food establishments. A water lbottle filling station would be a fantastic addition.

The stay at this resort for my birthday weekend was a great find. Staff were friendly and provided us with clean towels when needed/asked as well as help navigating the island (Thanks John!) The location was very convenient and walkable to a lot of restaurants, shops, and local delis less than a 5 minute walk away that I went to a few times— I recommend Yoli’s Deli for fried fish and rice and beans . Location is also walkable to the water taxi which was especially helpfully when we had to catch a 6am ferry into Belize city for an excursion. The view outside of the resort overlooks the ocean and is very beautiful in early morning and late hours; my family and I enjoyed going for a quick swim in it. Overall, pretty worth it for the price

This was a cute small hotel near downtown San Pedro. It was convenient for walking to a number of bars and restaurants. We liked our room and the facilities. Our main issue was with the bar. It attracted locals who used the hotel pool and sitting area for their personal parties. This was due to the bar being tiny. The atmosphere took away from the hotel. The bar staff were all very nice just like the hotel staff but they love to party so keep that in mind when booking.

This place was amazing from the location to the staff. Tula the manager was so helpful and made sure everything ran smooth. Clive is just an all around great person kept us smiling and TY the best on the island he was so kind friendly and made sure we knew all the spots to try. The resort is in the perfect area food beach and bars all in walking distance. D'Family is attached and it was hands down the best food. When I return I will stay at Ocean Tide!

We enjoyed our 8 day stay at Ocean Tide. It was our first time in Belize and it was the perfect spot and right in the middle of town. Very walkable, lots of bar/dining options in a walkable distance. Beach is very nice. The resort was just updated and was kept very clean.Tula the Manager was very easy to get ahold of before our trip to ask questions, and booked our flights over to the island for us. John keeps the property spotless along with the maid staff. T-Y and Clive at the bar were very funny kept the music going and poured some amazing drinks--- shout out to T-Y on the best Michelada ive had. The owner was onsite as well, and he made sure to introduce himself and was very friendly. All in all-- ocean tide was exactly what we didnt know we needed. Thanks for an amazing vacation!

Oceantide was newly renovated. The rooms were very clean, and bed was so comfortable. I loved the pool bar area. Very great bang for the buck. The hotel was right by the center of town and airport, perfect for walking or golf carting around. The bartender's TY and Clive were amazing, such great service and personalities. We are looking forward to coming back! Tours were available from dock right in front of hotel. What a lovely place.

This small hotel offers reasonable prices for a standard hotel room with simple/basic amenities (fridge in room, A/C, local bar open in evening, and cable). Rooms/linens were clean and mattresses seemed fairly new. The pool and patio area was well-maintained and we spent a lot of time just relaxing there. It's also at a great location with easy walking distance to many different restaurants/bars along the coast. Note that this entire coastline isn't the best for lounging on the actual beach/going into the water because of coral/boats, but quite a few restaurants that sit on docks extending from the beach have places to jump in the water that do not have a lot of coral. The staff (Tula, John, and Clive) was excellent and super friendly! They also have an overnight security guard that helped me feel safer. I'd recommend this hotel for the cost-conscious individuals who are more interested in a nice room to sleep and plan on being out and about the island rather than just staying at the hotel.

Tula, the general manager, was very accommodating. Picked us up from the ferry and helped accommodate a late check out.

Nice pool, right on the beach and a bar on site too with a free welcome drink. Music was on at the bar until later in the evening but the whole beach area is noisy with music as this is the party area.

The hotel it's'self is old and worn. My 10 year old daughter's first reaction was "dad, this place is haunted". Don't expect new, clean and fresh. This place has "character". The walls are paper thin, floors are creaky so you here your your neighbors walking about, the doors are worn around and dirty around the door handles.

Some thoughts on the island: In March and April it is a downright wind tunnel. It was so windy one day, we couldn't leave our room. Sand blow in our eyes, it was bad! The locals call this wind the Easterlies. Also, another annoyance are the golf carts. Seems like a million of them and most are driven are by tourists who have never driven them before. Combine these with the absence of sidewalks and if you're on foot you're taking your life in your hands. There is virtually no public transit so if you want to get anywhere you're forced to rent one of these golf carts for $50 a day. A broken down bicycle will run you $20/day. Too bad they don't rent scooters. The other observation is cost once you get there. Everything is very expensive - maybe due to it being an island and no other industry except tourism. A simple breakfast - 2 eggs, refried beans, strip of bacon-like meat, tortilla and cup of instant coffee is $26US. Bring cash!

Don't bother going snorkeling at Hol Chan and Shark Alley. Both spots are way overcrowded and the sights are mundane.

This is my 3rd time to Ocean Tide and the best way to describe it is the vibe.

Just outside of San Pedro and near the famous Palapa bar - it is a great location with a safe, cultural feel. In the mornings you may hear the high school children singing their morning songs before class. Take a dip in the clean pool. Relax on the lounge chairs.

The staff is also wonderful. Raymond has a heart of gold and is a great bartender. I love the Dirty Banana Drink! The housekeepers keep the place clean and the front desk clerk is very pleasant. Tula, the manager - also is very professional.

We always enjoy coming here and will definitely be back!

I booked a room but when I arrived after 7 the office was closed. No security guard was there in the evening. There was No way to call the property or email. When I asked for a refund the next day they were dismissive and rude. They definitely did not care about what had happened.

Quaint little hotel near downtown

The staff is what takes this place to the next level. Raymond, the bartender, is a great guy. He’s super friendly and happy to share tips about the island or exchange in some good conversation. The same is true for Carmita at the front desk, very sweet and helpful. These two and the rest of the staff made my experience at ocean tide top notch.

Hotel is clean and simple, small bar, small pool, 5-10 min walk to downtown.

Ocean Tide Beach Resort is the perfect place to stay in San Pedro. Right on the beach in a chill part of town & close to everything. Rooms are nice and clean, AC works great, pool and bar are sweet. The Staff is super friendly. They can set you up with tours or a golf cart and have killer coffee in the morning. Ray at the bar is the bomb. I don't care to try any other place, this is my go to every trip!
