I was extremely pleased staying here. Fantastic location right at Plaza Dorego. Great restaurants and bars close by as well as the San Telmo Market. Hotel is very nice. Clean and practical rooms. Rooftop pool and gym. Nice breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

The room was great, bed super comfy. Shower had great pressure - room was on the smaller size but it worked perfectly. They designed it well. Actually the whole place is designed well.
The staff awesome, pretty good English.
The hotel vibe especially lovely with a courtyard that the hotel wraps around. The bottom of the courtyard is their restaurant.

This hotel is an extremely unique section of San Telmo, located right within Plaza Dorrego where there is a constant market, Tango dancers, restaurants, and immediately around the corner for the San Telmo food market and several fantastic grill restaurants. I got the best steak in my life there. Unlike Palermo, which is a bit too touristy, San Telmo is awesome with an incredible mix of European cultures food and restaurants.

This hotel is right on the main square for the Sam Telmo Sunday market. They were even doing tango on Monday after the market. A tonne of dining options, really close to a number of sights. There is plenty to explore in Sam telmo alone but this location was convenient for drivers to access and take you elsewhere (outside of Sunday with the market - many streets in the area are closed to cars). So much to do. So much to see. This hotel is a great spot to base yourself

The Anselmo Hotel has the perfect location. It is situated in the middle of the old San Telmo district of Buenos Aires. The neighborhood is very lively all hours of the day with locals as well as visitors walking, talking, and enjoying the friendly and comfortable feel of the area. The hotel is at the footstep of Plaza Dorrego - a pulic square that has a daily crafts market, dining area, with live musical groups and tango dancers. It is also a block or so from the San Telmo Market which is full of shopping and dining options.

The hotel has a central location that allows visitors to walk to many sights or to take many transportation options such as buses, taxis, or booking Uber.

The hotel staff is very friendly, courteous, and willing to help as much as possible to resolve problems or issues. The is well kept and clean. The only problem or issue that we had was the lack of soundproofing - hearing neighbors doors slam shut or loud conversations.

It is located in an older, very simple working-class neighborhood with older buildings, broken sidewalks, and lots of local flare. But that is the charm of San Telmo and the Anselmo Hotel. We spent 4 days/3nights there that we truly enjoyed. We would recommend it to others.

We stayed one night on room 103, it was big but all night there was a horrible toilet smell. The night stand tables were covered with dust, the long curtains were visible dirty, the pool water was also dirty and green. Breakfast was just ok. I would not recommend this hotel.

Nice location, great design and concept, but horribly slow internet, not a single English-speaking channel on TV, super noisy (you can hear anything from noises from the other room to cleaning crews until late in the day), slow-draining sink, grimy. The check-in person cold and unfriendly (checkout crew was better). Got charged $3.20 for a small bottle of water one day, $2.20 another. Not the worst Hilton, but by far THE worst Curio I ever stayed at.

⚠️ an unusual damage deposit of 60US per night which is very dumb. One night only 60$ but if you stay 10 days 600$. I was taken back by this policy as I had never encountered it ever before. The charge appeared on my credit card as a charge too. I was told it was a hold. Loby sofas terrible condition and the sound from the neighbors I could hear word for word conversations. The worst sound proofing I've ever experienced. The location is quite nice in a small square with lots of restaurants close by. Staff were not very pleasant and when I checked out they were going to do the return of my deposit later that day. I asked for it to be done right away since they charged me right away which they did really quickly. I can't imagine leaving without having this issued settled. Imagine being thousands of miles away and hearing there's a problem. I actually can't believe this is a Hilton

I just wish the Hilton chain were more flexible with early check in’s for folks coming from long international flights. To not access a room until 3pm is very hard.

We loved staying at this hotel. The staff were lovely and so helpful. The room was large and had everything one would want. Bed was comfortable and bed linen of excellent quality. There are many restaurants and shops close by.

Whilst we enjoyed this hotel it appeared to be under construction. Door to terrace opened to iron staircase to construction zone. Amazing views from the top of the staircase. Hopefully Hilton will step up and finish construction.
Room was comfortable, clean but not up to Hilton standards. Did Hilton buy this property before the end of construction.
We would definitely stay here again. Staff were amazing, breakfast something for all diets, location cannot be neat.
Not our first time visiting Buenos Aires, but our best hotel and location. Love the neighborhood vibe.

Excellent location in San Telmo, easy to walk to downtown area.
Many restaurants and a little park-plaza right in front of the hotel where you can have a drink, eat, see tango dancers and listen to local musicians.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the hotel was very good.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great! The only suggestion would be more USB ports in the room. It was a smart room. Having the only USB Port on the television , which required the TV being on to activate the charging was annoying. We had to have the TV on all night and had to cover it with clothes in order to stay.

Disappointing

Emailed the concierge twice a few weeks before arrival about early check-in. Never got a response. In the day of check in, we arrived early and they said they would WhatsApp us when our room is ready. Never heard from them.

The design of the room is a bit unpractical. Only one place to hang a wet towel and the glass door to the bathroom gives no privacy.

The room (8) is noisy and overlooks the main lobby and courtyard so we spent our entire stay with the curtains drawn.

Great Hotel on Lively Plaza Dorrego

Our experience at Anselmo was outstanding from the moment we checked in. The staff are very helpful and attentive and willing assist you in any way. The restaurant is also very good. The rooms are comfortable with aircon that works very well. It is surprisingly quiet for the busy location. I wholeheartedly recommend this property and neighborhood.

The Anselmo Hotel is a unique 50 bed facility in Buenos Aries. It is located adjacent to shops, restaurants and small businesses. Across from the entrance is a square where Tango dancers entertain through the evening. The facility is clean, the rooms large and an American buffet breakfast is served in the morning. In addition there is a wine bar on the same basement level. All in all a delightful hotel experience.

The building was beautiful and the location was on Dorrego square, where there were frequent tango dancers. One of our party had a medical emergency, and the staff administered first aid, called an ambulance, and was very concerned and helpful . All of the front desk staff spoke fluent English. Front desk staff helped us with restaurant recommendations, banking problems, transportation arrangements, tour bookings, and answered a host of questions with competency and humor. I cannot say enough about the excellence of this hotel.

Interesting location. Lots of cultural activity right outside the hotel including ballroom dancing in the square. Restaurants and antique stores all around. Starbucks across the square. Hotel rooms are tired and grimy and a bit inconsistent. The blanket on the end of my bed looked like it was made from human hair. Nice staff and eighties music done by weird artists. Had a “Dark Shadows” feel on the exterior. Ok place but consistent with the cities worn modern/retro Soviet / Neapolitan Paris vibe.

Nice small hotel in Plaza Dorrego in the middle of vibrant San Telmo. Bar staff slow and late. There was a missed up with some charges to the room that we we not happy with. Instant coffee is complimentary, but they charge for Nespresso capsules when you use them even if there is no sign or pricing for that. At the end all was good but after a couple of arguments with the staff. Overall, good place to stay in Buenos Aires
