The daily breakfast offered is incredible. There is something for everyone to enjoy. And the staff are always so friendly. This is an older building with all the charm and hiccups one get expect with that: the air conditioning and shower drain could function better, but that’s not why you come here. You choose this place to be authentic and feel the true vibe of SanTelmo. The rooftop pool - though small - is a welcome delight on hotter days. As is the courtyard spaces with chairs, tables and swings to enjoy a late night Malbec under the stars.

We don't feel good with the room: the bedroom is old and smell, the bathroom is small and has no amenities, but the location of the hotel is outstanding and the price is reasonable. When we left the hotel for joining the cruise, I asked the lobby staff to book for us a taxi with enough space for 4 people and 4 large luggage, he did it with a private vehicle instead of official taxi.

Staff was amazing and very helpful!!! Air conditioning did not work as it should. Luckily it was cool enough to open the door to allow cool air in. I would say ice buckets in rooms as well as an ice maker for all patrons to use would be a great addition. All in all we did enjoy our stay. The staff should be commended!!!

Patios is an absolutely lovely and quaint artsy hotel in a cool old part of San Telmo.
The room was lovely, with a great comfortable bed. Outside, through the center of the hotel, is a fantastic romantic open courtyard with superb weird sculptures.
We loved it so much, we extended our stay a few more nights.
Will definitely be happy to stay here again.

Location: In the center of iconic Sam Temlo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. We arrived Saturday so were there for the Sunday market which is famous in B.A. The hotel is in an older building with spacious bedrooms and baths. I also liked the \"free breakfast\" each morning.

The property itself is lovely. The room we had clean and spacious and it is quite central in san telmo neighbourhood. The staff feel miserable and the breakfast was ok. Don't ask for eggs, I felt like asking the waiting staff for anything beyond what was laid out was offensive to them.

Our room was great, really spacious. The whole building has a great vibe and artsy style. Breakfast options just okay, no muesli, eggs made to order but small serves. Good fresh fruit selection. Check that it is included as it was an extra for us. We appreciated the 24 hour desk staff as we checked in late and checked out early. Love the San Telmo neighbourhood. We hoped to use the pool but felt it wasn't inviting.

We did a night before cruise, and a night after cruise. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Very quiet rooms. We also enjoyed the breakfast service - continental - sufficient for that time of the day.

Area is more historic, and was convenient to the local San Telmo market and the Sunday street market. I got up early the first morning and walked around to see the architecture and it was very safe. Hotel is about 5-8 minutes by Uber to the Casa Rosada central area, and has easy access to the main boulevards and routes to airports and port.

The hotel is lovely snd was chosen because it had a pool however the pool itself needs a good clean! It’s slimey, full of all sorts and smells meaning each day our swimwear had to be washed in the shower to get rid of the ‘pond smell’. We still used the pool as it reached 35 degrees but not as much as we wanted

As mentioned in previous review. Broken air conditioning, additional charges for my local boyfriend for a service paid for / not used. Cheeky considering the issue I had with this room. Fix your air conditioning and dont gaslight guests for your lack of maintenance. Highly unprofessional. Wish I took an airbnb

Its sad as the hotel is beautiful. My problem started with booking a superior room with climate controlled air conditioning, it was broken, no one fixed and tried to blame me for adjusting the temperature. It called climate controlled, didn't maintain the control system. Worker verified it was broken.. lack of help for him. He was amazing the evening receptionist. So had two nights of uncomfortable experience. Waited 6 hours for a fan.

Then they charged my bf a local a days wage for breakfast, even though I paid extra for this service and a surcharge for additional guest.

Disgusting treatment, lack of compassion for their own mistakes and putting ownership on guests. I wont be returning with this service. I complained to hotels.com who fully compensated me.

Get your acts together.. stop blaming guests and be clear. And to clear up, the last day we never claimed a breakfast they should do the right thing and return to my boyfriend the over priced additional charge for the breakfast $25,000 Argentinian pesos. But doubt it, from the responses

Like I said a shame as the standard double booked a few days later the air conditioning worked.

The staff was so friendly and oriented us every time we asked for information.

The area is safe during the day, at night you need to be careful but otherwise, the hotel and breakfast was excellent.

Beautiful, quiet long sleep-ins and hot showers. A lot of places to relax out of the city bustle and heat, mid day. The most lovely towels. Black out curtains. Helpful staff. City at the door step. Would pass on the breakfast option because there's so many excellent places a block or two away to enjoy. The pool water was a bit low, but I struggle to find criticism here.

The hotel is located in an interesting and funky in-town neighborhood. The area and hotel have a lot of character - the hotel is an older updated building with outdoor courtyard areas leading to sections of rooms, unique and fun art pieces, and a koi pond and fountain. My room was nicely and comfortably updated and had a tall ceiling so room felt quite large. The breakfast is fair but was not my priority. I stayed for one night before a flight back to the US. This place made me want to stay another night. If you’re a ‘townie’ you’ll love this place! Cool bar just across the street.

Excellent location when it comes to access to different restaurants and San Telmo market. Comfortable room with basic amenities. What didn’t work are the following: although we had a great experience with some of the staff, the person who checked us in was rude in his sarcastic remarks (although we did already check in online), the room AC didn’t work, the bathroom shower made the whole bathroom wet and dangerous, and the area is not one of the safest areas in BA ( but then there are taxis and car sharing apps; right? :-)

We loved staying in San Telmo area, with cafes, restaurants, and mini markets all conveniently within steps. The hop on hop off bus, and plaza we're nearby, as well as laundry. The room was quite spacious and patio spaces delightful. And the staff we're always welcoming, helpful, and for us their English and maps made our stay easy!!

Primeramente hay que entender el concepto del hotel para poder evaluar. Tiene una historia del tipo antiguo, por tanto el área de la habitación está alienado con esa idea. Habitaciones pequeñas pero la verdad cómodas. Lo que no nos gustó fue que el área del baño era dividida de la habitación por un ventanal, cosa que quita privacidad. Baño pequeño. Importante, el cuarto tiene un toma tipo USB para los que dejamos nuestro cargador universal olvidado.El Desayuno es bastante bueno. El trato del personal increíble….

The hotel is in San Telmo, one of the oldest area of the city and not at all affluent. The area has character, within walking distance of some the major attractions and is very lively. Getting around is easy. That said, the area is somewhat shady and looks uncomfortable if by oneself at night.
The hotel itself has its merits. It has a nice lobby, a courtyard and looks cool and tastefully furnished. Staff is helpful, breakfast is acceptable and security is good for guests.
The room is spacious but the bathroom is very tiny and definitely needs work, especially the tiles, the caulking, the faucets, the doors.

We stayed 5 nights after a cruise. Checkin was smooth and the desk staff was always friendly and accommodating. The final price was actually lower than my original booking so that was nice. The room was small but comfortable. The A/C could have been stronger and the pillows firmer but we managed. The location seemed safe and great for walking to restaurants and sights. We frequently used the grocery store across the street. We didn’t try the breakfast. We also did not try the pool as we had no time during our stay. One thing the hotel could use is some softer seating. Aside for the lobby area all the chairs were either metal or wicker with little cushioning. That’s a minor point however. We would stay again and would also recommend.

The Pros. The common areas are nice, and the hotel is well located. The room was clean.
The CONS. When you don't have even a trash can in the room, you know these is going on the cheap. The room was tiny and, for example, the sheets in the bed did not even have an elastic. That meant that any activity that was not sleeping led to a disaster of a bed. The Shower was tiny, and there was very limited space in the closet, which was an standing one. Also, and this is maybe HOTELS.COM fault, I reserved a room with a balcony, only to find out that the hotel has no such rooms. My room looked like nothing like the photos in the site, as it was way darker and I was misled by the fish eye lens used to the photos. The street outside was very dirty, but that has nothing to do with the hotel; San Telmo is like that, but you have to be aware. In short, it is not a bad hotel, but you can certainly do better.

Nice small boutique hotel, front reception staff in evening very friendly as with the lady in breakfast area.
As for the room, it is small, bathroom very small, lighting not good, no towel racks, heating not good. Shower door did not close so water tends to escape. No window but glass entry doors that look into an interior courtyard, passerbys can see right into your room if you want to have some natural light.
Wifi does not work in room but does in other parts of the hotel.
While the stay was pleasant would not stay again. Plenty of restaurants nearby, easy walk to centro.

The manager did not let me stay there and canceled my stay. Now, travelocity will not refund me. I had to pay for another hotel to have a place to stay in another country. I never staid there at all, he would not let me because of my luggage was 4. there is no policy written in travelocity or at the hotel about no more than 3 luggages.

Had a nice stay at this beautiful little hotel! The rooms and beds were comfortable, but much smaller and less modern than it looks on the photos (bathroom was very small, could not close the door properly). The continental breakfast was also quite basic. toast, cheese and ham. No eggs, beans etc. But we had a lovely stay here and the staff was very helpful. It was also very quiet at night, and in a good location. Would stay again even thought I expected more based on how the hotel is presented on the website here.

Great gem in San Telmo

Lovely stay in this hotel in San Telmo. We were advised not to stay in the area but it was the best choice for us and we were very happy with the hotel and area. The hotel is bohemian, clean and has a nice vibe. The staff are amazing especially the guy whose there during the day. Rooms were small especially the bathroom but they were clean and cosy. You can have free coffee and filtered water all day in reception. We also walked everywhere from the hotel. There are couple of other hotels and hostels on the same street which we considered and where fully booked, and we felt disappointed but when we found n stayed at Patio we felt very lucky to have found this place. As our last few days in BA it was a nice end to our trip.

Really lovely property, under 10 minutes walk to San Telmo Market. The reception staff were all absolutely lovely, the bed very comfortable, and the room nice and quiet. The shower wasn't the best and I would hope they fix that soon, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

When I arrived I was in a foul mood after an awful flight and having lost my luggage. I was much happier within an hour of arriving at this wonderful hotel. Close to most things and a ten minute walk to the Subway which cost about ten cents a journey once you had bought a card for about a Dollar.

We stayed for 2 nights. The bed was exceptionally comfortable! The hotel is within walking distance to many attractions. The room is a little bit dark and water splashes out when you shower. We stayed in a room facing the front and the balcony door doesn’t shut completely (not sure if it made any difference) but it was quite noisy until after midnight. Breakfast was ok. Overall, a nice little hotel.

Patios San Telmo is a beautiful building, and a converted Conventillo in one of Buenos Aires’ oldest neighborhoods. We enjoyed the breakfast and the helpfulness of the staff.

We were close to a place to eat, recommended by the receptionist. It was an excellent choice.

Patios San Telmo is very new, great bathroom, security box for valuables, and great bed.

It is a bit expensive compared to other places I stayed in Buenos Aires.

The style of the hotel was really nice as was the decor. It was a reasonable price for the room. However, unfortunately our bathroom door didn’t close and the double doors leading into our room were not secure. We notified the receptionist who said he would look into it but we heard nothing further. There was also a sound that persisted through the night- we assumed this was from the swimming pool nearby. We were also told the hotel would be doing something special for our honeymoon but they didn’t- which is fine but odd to say they would do something.

The hotel has a lovely european feel to it. The room I had had no window which was ashame, but the room itself was clean and tidy. It was double height ceiling which made the room feel big, the shower room sadly was on the small side, so for a guy they would have felt very tight. The receptionist spoke very good english and are very helpful indeed.

Quiet place especially if you are on the patio. The long patio, maybe 30 meters/100 feet is welcoming.
Friendly staff.
Rooms are quite big, with a high ceiling. Nice bathroom.
Rooms are equipped with safe and a small fridge.
The location is pretty good, with a lot of good restaurants at a walking distance.
The streets around the hotel are safe at night.

We love this hotel! Rooms are spacious and modern the whole property is so well thought out. We will definitely come back. Great neighborhood too!

the hotel is pretty and the bed is comfortable. pool is nice but the in-room tub looks a bit worn for my own tastes. lots of cafes, bars, and supermarkets around the area. close to the city.
