Staff Berenice, Andrea and Micaela at the front Desk were very professional, friendly - helped me with tours, transportation, requests for my suite that was pristine. My 2 story suite was superb, 3 balconies facing Ave 9 d Julio, weather was awesome so I was able to keep the doors to the balcony opened, feeling the breeze and beauty of the city for most of my stay. Location was perfect. Close to Sube subway and metro bus.

The room I was allocated was huge with a mezzanine bedroom and bathroom. I commented that the room could do with a carpet spot clean and a lick of paint in the bathroom. Upon check out, the receptionist told me they will work on my room that day!

I was impressed with the constant communication via Whatsapp and email throughout my stay. This hotel is committed to ensuring their guests are looked after and take stock of comments.

Also the front desk helped me get a tango show booking last minute, which I appreciated!

Good stay, good central location. Awesome front desk staff, very friendly. No couch as in other apartments, only table and plastic chairs to sit on, but no big deal. Mattresses past replacement date, sinking in the middle. Someone entered apt. each day despite our request for zero service or entry by anyone, with do not enter sign clearly on door, but no sign of theft. Area sketchy after dark, many homeless. Great restaurant 3 blocks away that was recommended by front desk, ate there twice, great meals. Food market 1/2 block away. Wifi spotty, off and on. Older building but in decent shape, same for room. All around cannot complain as price was cheap for experience delivered.

The property is well located and is quite unique. Unfortunately, our room faced directly onto 9de Julio and it was extremely noisy.
The staff were friendly and accommodating.
Basic amenities were not automatically provided but were available on request.
Without stovetop or washing machine, it is not suitable for long term but there are plenty of restaurants and laundries close by.

You probably won’t want to stay here.

Pro’s: Location. The hotel is very accessible via public transit to a lot of the city.
Con’s: Cleaning of the room and change of towels comes at an extra cost. The beds were not that comfortable and we had one blood stained pillow. We asked for the garbage to be taken out 3 times and it never did. The “kitchen” only included a mini fridge, microwave and 2 plates, 2 spoons, 2 cups, 2 mugs.. only 2’s. The fridge was leaking water also. Because of the heat, the power goes out in the city so we were left without AC (not really the hotel’s fault.) During our stay there was construction next door which was loud and lasted all day. The hotel never advised of this. Our room was 2 levels with the bed and washroom upstairs yet the closets downstairs. Very uncomfortable mini sofa. The shower products were awful and cheap, something from a dollar store.
The decision is yours. We hated every moment of our stay in this hotel.

Double superior loft looks a lot better on the pictures than in real life. First thing when we walked in was the smell of paint. Looks like the floors were freshly painted with a cheap paint, and somehow no one thinks it is necessary to get rid of this smell. Right away you notice that non of the windows open, balcony is blocked by air conditioner. Every piece of furniture looks cheap and old. Bed is uncomfortable. One of the reason i got this was i wanted to try a loft type hotel... my mistake. 2nd floor has low ceilings, shallow space. Loud demonstrations right under the window, i guess it comes with the territory in center of the city.... View from the window, Evita mural, but when you look down you see ugly, dirty, roof of something. Obviously hotel doesn't care about your enjoyment of probably the only good feature they have. But front desk people are great and very helpful! With so many great options in Buenos Aires, i managed to pick this one, very disappointing.

We arrived early morning and the staff was happy to check us in. Safe didn't work and they came to fix it straight away. On the next day we realized the fridge didn't work and they fixed it before we came back to the hotel. Staff were very helpful calling taxi for us to go to La Bofa and airport.
Apartment for 4 is spacious but bit noisy as it's not sound proofed.
Location is vrry good, walking to restaurants, attractions and shops.

It is a nice place. The beds are comfortable, sheets are nice and clean. The carpet appear to be worned. The clerk sprayed something on the carpet daily, I am not sure that cleans them. The rooms are definitely not sound proof. Due to the construction of the hotel being all hard surfaces; the sound just bounces from wall to ceiling and back. So if one happens to have noisy neighbors or with children, one can hear all of the sounds. My recommendation is that you post signs in public area to remind your guest to keep quiet in public areas such as by the elevator, and in their rooms. Not to have children jumping up and down all the time. There was no towel to dry dishes with and no small face or hand towel. We enjoyed our stay, other than the noises.

The Very Great for Few-Days of Exploration Stay!

The very best place to spend few days or a week for enjoying the city. Not for a full month or being in the hotel all day, but it's a perfection choice if you feel energetic mood. It is right in the middle of everything between all main attractions, almost facing a big street (10m away) with all bunch of taxi, some cafes, stores, and a close ride to any of main places of interest, comparably safe area by that reason. Smoking patio! Special thanks for that!! And a huge room with a lot of air inside and a huge few metres high door of the room: you open it and the room if fresh in no time.

Staff were helpful and housekeeping was great. However, the hotel is in need of normal maintenance eg the door lock was loose, carpets could be replaced, the walls and furniture could use a fresh coat of paint, etc. There were no English channels available on TV nor a TV guide to refer to as there are in other hotels in this class.
If you're paying with a foreign credit card in foreign currency, make sure you're not charged the Argentine VAT by the hotel at checkout as you would be exempt from paying VAT.

Great Location but HTL would benefit from major up

The hitel was conveniently located and the staff was extremely kind and patient. The rooms however, particularly the one on the second floor where we stayed during oir first leg of our Argentine trip, were more comporable to a 2-star facility. The carpets on the second floor were in dire need of a good scrub, the steel beams looked like the had not been measured properly which necessitated pieces of sheet rock in between to make up the difference.
I could go on but suffice it to say that the hotel bore little resemblance to the photos on display at the Expedia website. Only reason to come back would be the professionalism and the courtesy displayed by the young staff.

Great hotel overall. The only complaint I have is that the bathrooms are outdated. The rooms are very nice and comfortable but the bathrooms are not. Besides that, everything else was great. The breakfast was very good. Every day, you call for breakfast and they come with a cart full of breakfast items, sweets and you can also order omelette and scrambled eggs at no additional cost. Would stay there again.

We was very pleased with the hotel but the bathroom need an update.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delivered to the room every morning, we liked it very much. When we left the hotell to spend 2 weeks in Uruguay they told us that we can leave the luggage, we left one bag and picked it up upon our return 2 weeks later, everything worked out great. The Hotel's location is excellent.

Nice place, centralized to everything we needed.

Our stay was in a corner unit Dbl Loft and wanted to be on the busy 9 De Julio Its centralized to many of the tourist spots & neighborhoods as well as a main hub for mass transit. The SUBTE card can be used on both subway & bus & is stations just mins away (two blocks). I've read about noisy traffic, but the AC is louder than the cars below us.

We had all the French doors open while we had wine & bites in the living room during an afternoon break and it couldn't have been more perfect during our stay at HTL.

The bed & bathroom are on the above level, you will need sandals to walk up the metal stair case. There are no closets upstairs or space in the bathroom for personal toiletries. The drain in the shower is veryyy slow, (we had it checked) & there is some mildew in the grout. Our bed was too stiff for us, pillows were average.

Housekeeping was spectacular. Great job on making the place like new.

Our key card lock was never working properly, always had to try more than several times to get a green light and open.

It's an older hotel / building & seems to be on a constant fix up (there was painting, repairing all week). But I'd recommend this for a young couple, or three days or less stays (we were there for almost a week). It is safe and a perfect location for those who want to visit the urban city by foot, mass transit or taxi. Centralized to many airport shuttles too.

Great place to stay in a fantastic location!

Overall, I really liked this place. The rooms were really nice, with a great layout, and quite spacious too. I would almost describe it as a small apartment. Centrally located, and within walking distance of just about everything in central BA. The staff were all cheerful, friendly and helpful too. Honestly, I really cannot fault this place at all. My only minor quip if I had to name one would be that some of the room fixtures needed repair. My toilet paper holder was broken, as were some of the curtain rods. Either way, it was no big deal at all, and I would definitely stay here again.

Hip boutique hotel close to most everything

After having stayed at Room Mate properties in Spain, the one in BA did not disappoint. Friendly English speaking staff, cool loft style rooms, and a good breakfast for Argentina. The location is super convenient, however, it is on a busy street, so if you are a light sleeper ask for a room facing the side street. The other thing to know is that the beds are on the very firm side, but staff is happy to supply with extra blankets to soften them:-)

We've stayed 4 nights in Room Mate Carlos and unfortunately, these days have been very cold in Buenos Aires. The rooms are two floor rooms, lofts, which makes it to a very nice atmosphere. We stayed on th 7th floor. The only problem about this two floor rooms is the heating. The room had two airconditions which can heat up to 30 degrees, because these two aircons were installed in the sealing, the warm air only heats the upper level, which is the sleeping room - but there is actually no heat necessary. So it came, that we had a sauna upstairs and the northpol downstairs. Sitting with blanket and watching TV, during upstairs is summer no is very nice. About the rest in Room Mate Carlos we can't complain. The staff is very helpful.

If it wasn't for the room, I would have said this hotel is great, as the staff makes you feel welcomed.
If you are handicapped this hotel is not for you. The rooms are lofts, so the bedroom and the bathrooms are on the second floor.
IT also had the modern look inside, however the curtains were not practical. I couldn't get them to open, and the lighting in the room was very poor, so with bad lighting and not being able to open the curtains the room was very dark.
If you like to go to sleep watching TV, forget it, as the TV is also on the first floor.
I was there only for a couple of days, otherwise I would have gone crazy. However the staff was so nice, that I explained the problems and they said next time to call them, and next time they would give me a better room. They really make you feel a welcomed and valued customer.

Beautiful place in the center of Buenos Aires

This is a beautiful place, right at the corner of the main avenue of the city, a few minutes from all important downtown locations. The remodeling and decoration of this old residential hig-rise is just wonderfull. They used the high ceilings of each room to make it a loft with the beds high up with a stairs, giving a lot of living room. The small balconies are perfect for smokers and offer spectecular views. Excellent taste in picking modern, kind of crazy decorations. The breakfast was outstanding and it should be noticed that you can have breakfast up to 12:00 noon, which is very unusual.

O atendimento dos funcionários da recepção foi o ponto alto, todos atenciosos, tive problema com a descarga e solicitava o conserto, e eles sempre prontos para solucionar o conserto. Localização excelente.
Apartamentos com boa estrutura, ar condicionado, frigobar, secador, torradeira e micro-ondas e uma chaleira életrica, perfeito para alimentação rápida.
Não paguei pelo café da manhã, eu mesma fazia, vários mercados ao redor.
Também não utilizei serviço de limpeza que é pago a parte, mas eu mesma mantinha o quarto arrumado e limpo, mas as camareiras retiravam o lixo diariamente , então não tive problemas com limpeza.
Para quem vai em família, a acomodação é perfeita, o único problema e que o banheiro fica em cima, impossibilitando quem tem dificuldades com escada.

No geral o quarto é bom. Ele é espaçoso e conta com micro-ondas, pratos, copos, talheres e uma mesa grande para fazer as refeições. Porém, os banheiros precisam urgentemente de uma repaginada, há vários detalhes que precisam de manutenção. Nós
tivemos problemas com o ar condicionado duas vezes em um de nossos quartos e não dá para ficar sem ar no verão de Buenos Aires. Mas o hotel resolveu os problemas.

Nos cobraron limpieza sin avisarnos

Nos cobraron la limpieza de dos noches , una vergüenza. Los hoteles no cobran . Nadie nos informó que había que pagar. Caso contrario no hubieramos pedido el servicio.Solicito nos reinetegren ese monto

Lugar cómodo y agradable

Muy buena estadía, el lugar muy lindo y grande. Excelente ubicación cochera disponible a 50 metros, el sonido de los equipos de aire exteriores molestaban un poco.

A funcionária Azul foi o melhor do Hotel.

Boa. Localização ótima. Portaria tbem.
Comunicação pré viagem 1000.
Azul nos deu suporte maravilhoso.
Aposentos, limpeza a desejar.
Café da manhã, melhor nem oferecerem, repetitivo, ruim, além de vir descoberto pelo corredor, a meu ver bem anti higiênico.
Fomos em 34 pessoas.
Uma viagem linda onde estes pormenores não nos
Impediu de muita diversão:
Recomendaria.
Mas precisa melhorar.

Quartos com escadas

Hotel muito interessante, moderno e bonito. Os quartos são lofts e têm escada dentro do quarto. Embora essa informação não esteja fácil na hora da reserva deve ser considerada. Fiquei hospedada com duas idosas de quase 80 anos que precisavam subir escada de madrugada (e a qualquer hora do dia) para ir ao banheiro porque as camas de solteiro eram no andar de baixo. Independente de não ser confortável, é também perigoso. É preciso deixar a informação mais clara!
Independente disso, os quartos tem ótimo tamanho, e são limpos.
O café da manhã é servido no quarto. Não é muito bom (um tipo de pão, suco artificial, frutas inteiras), e se quiser mais alguma coisa, é preciso chamar a moça de novo.

Estrutura boa! Custo x beneficio satisfatório.
Pontos de melhoria: Quarto para 6 pessoas precisa de 2 banheiros do mesmo porte, no nosso caso um dos banheiros possuia o box muito pequeno, impossível de tomar banho sem molhar todo o banheiro.
Outro ponto é a questão do serviço de quarto, não ficou claro se estava incluído ou não. Acabou que tivemos que pagar ao hotel pelo uso do serviço.

A nossa escolha foi indicação de um amigo. Gostamos muito. Não há reclamação a fazer> Atendimento,conforto, segurança, além disso é próximo de muitos lugares bacanas p visitar como a Casa Rosada, Obelisco, rua Florida, Porto Madero... deu p economizar bem, pois dava p ir andando.
