Absolutely loved my room. The huge windows and high ceiling. The hotel although being in a busy and not particularly salubrious area, is an absolute oasis of peace. Really enjoyed my stay. Some of the fixtures and fittings are a showing signs of wear but apart from that it was a great value stay. Great location for attractions too.

The front entrance is difficult to enter and get to the front door. It is not good with wheeled luggage. A smooth entrance would be easier for luggage. No Tissue in the room…had to use toilet tissue and almost ran out…
Balcony was lovey. King size bed was great. Staff helpful especially calling a ride for us to the airport.

Hotel is a solid 3 stars. Location is great if you want to be near theaters, shooing, restaurants, and center of the city Obelisco. Some of the streets have very narrow side walks, or broken tiles (most BA).
If you pay with credit card, you safe yourself a 21% of VAT tax.
Excellent bang for your buck.

The hotel is not what it looks like in the pictures. Walls are all dirty full of scuff marks, pillows were stained, mattress was stained. The hotel has a banquet hall connected to it. Music starts playing from 8 pm to 5:30 am in the morning. Impossible to sleep. The room would shake.

This hotel's interior is quite unique, and I'm glad we picked it. The room is small but comfortable and has everything we need. We were able to walk to many places, like the Capitol, the Pink House, the Obelisk and San Telmo Market. The staff kept our luggage for us after we arrived early and that was handy for us.

None of the staff were good and the front desk guy made me wait in the lobby longer than necessary, although my room was ready. The room wasn't clean enough, so I had allergy problems. The wifi had problems. Then I got woken up at 430 am by people leaving, rolling their suitcases on the stone tiles on the other side of the wall from my bed. This went on for the next hour or two. I was going to stay another night, but went elsewhere

Wonderful, with added fiesta.

Fantastic hotel, well placed, staff really friendly. The only negative for us was the fiesta in the ballroom on Friday and Saturday night. We could hear the bass until at least 4am in the morning - I think they turned it slightly down after that. Don't have a problem with it, it would have been good to have been warned. Even better if you fancy a dance but don't want to leave the hotel. Otherwise I would happily return.

The place was very good and very reasonably priced. On both nights of the weekend, they had a party going on with loud music playing until after 3:00am which could be heard in the rooms. If noise and bass vibrations bother you, I would avoid them on the weekends or bring ear plugs with you.

si bien el personal de recepción fue excelente en todo momento, la habitación dejó mucho que desear, la limpieza brilló por su ausencia, hasta bichos salieron de debajo de la cama, y la frutilla fue qye se escuchaban todos los movimientos de la habitación de enfrente, desagradable. El barrio muy feo si bien de fácil acceso a todos los atractivos del microcentro. El colchón bueno pero la almohada maso. Hubo fiesta la primer noche, pero no molestó el descanso, la segunda noche literal no pudimos dormir hasta que el Señor de recepción solicitó silencio a los de la otra habitación. Paredes de papel, y el ruido de la calle, muy molesto!

The price was very fair and housekeeping was diligent. However, the sheets were not large enough for the bed. It would also be nice to have another blanket.

Well actually i never stayed at this property. I booked a reservation with them and to my surprise when i arrived at the hotel they said that they failed to inform me but they have no room available but they did have a solution. The solution was to send me to a hotel of a much lower standard i won't mention the hotel but quite frankly it's shocking. Now i have to sleep with one eye open...disgrace!

The Tribeca has large clean rooms, and while the entrance looks fresh, clean and welcoming, the overriding feeling you get upstairs is that it's all just a little tired.

The gym is certainly nothing to write home about, though it does have a good shower that's available late in the day if you've had to check out early. Nice one.

The roof patio is next to useless, and any impression that there's a pool should be immediately dispelled. It's about 10cm deep max, and filled with dirty water.

But the area is good, nice showers, clean large comfortable beds, and close to Obelisco.

All in all, perfectly good for a short stay.

Little Oasis in BA City Centre

The hotel is only a few blocks away from the 9 de Julio Avenue and the Obelisco. Area is loud and busy, as any city centre however, once you walk into the hotel all the noise goes away. The hotel is located in an old building, old latin american hacienda looking.

I found it unexpectedly nice and rather large rooms. I recommend staying

Great stay in the heart of Buenos Aires

We stayed 3 nights at Tribeca and it was the perfect place to stay to explore the centre of Buenos Aires,as everything is walkable from the hotel. A lot of food options and supermarkets are as well around.
The room we had was very spacious, clean and comfortable and the hotel offered as well breakfast which had all we needed. It is as well a nicely designed hotel,with an inner yard to hang out and a great roof top to relax.
The best was however the staft which was always very helpful and considerate about the well being of the guests.They will go the extra mile to help (Big thanks to Maxi!!)

Very nice hotel...

The front desk staff were welcoming & helpful and somehow remembered my first name when greeting me day to day. I was very pleased with the room. It reminded me of a loft in Manhattan. Super high ceilings w/ exposed brick, track lighting, shiny wooden floors, full length mirror. Spacious bedroom, separate room with a kitchen/dining area, and step up bathroom that includes a separate bidet. Overall I was impressed with the presentation.

I must be clear however, that the walls, ceiling and front door are very thin. The floors creak, and I heard every step the person in the room above me made. I could hear murmurs of neighbors' conversations and I was tortured with the incessant screams from a toddler 2 doors away. The rooms over look an open courtyard sort of area, however the layout increases the acoustics. Outdoor conversations echo off the walls of the facade, and you can hear people dragging suitcases and cleaning people pushing their carts. Understand that this is not to be taken as criticism. Overall its a charming hotel and I was very pleased with the presentation. I simply want to give an honest depiction of what to expect.

Bedrooms, elevators and services are modern. I loved the size of the bedrooms. Very close to 9 de Julio Avenue and reasonable walking distance to Florida. They offer taxi services to the Airport Ezeiza for a flat rate with a price similar to other transportation companies.

First time in Buenos Aires so don't know the cultural, style or people. The hotel was clean, comfortable and interesting architecture. Staff were very helpful with language barriers we had and tried to help us in any way possible. Because we had a large group arriving to stay, they were able to accommodate all of us with respect and promptness with our rooms.

The worst service ever!

Location and the amenities were fine, but one of the staff in the reception made it all terrible.
I do not know his name(sadly) but there was a tall guy with glasses who always stood in the reception from morning to afternoon for weekdays. You should AVOID him if you want to enjoy your stay.
We stayed 5 days and have never seen him greeting to the guests passing(do not expect with smile). No idea what he was doing all day but he always was staring at the computer.
We made another reservation while staying there. When we showed our reservation, he responded in a very very unpleasant way. He even asked HOW MUCH WE PAYED which was really not necessary to ask us. He looked upset with the low price(which we used our own points and promotion code!) and said because we paid low we could not stay at our room. Please go check your price at the online site.Do not argue with the guest.

I hope the owner of the hotel or his boss be aware of it. I cannot believe that even that guy looked like a manager but apparantely did nothing. What he did was just harmful to the reputation of this hotel. No service mind and terrible service which made me really sick.
There are so many great options around the center so you do not need to choose this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at this very clean comfortable and affordable hotel. Old world surroundings but modern. Don't be put off by street , it's an easy safe walk to main avenue,if you turn left once outside. Starbucks close by for wifi ( we couldn't access hotel wifi) walking distance to big shopping mall and federation square. Only a couple of problems couldn't find hotel on Internet to ask for transfer, rang hotel.com and got email address emailed but no reply. Wasn't sure if we would be picked up from airport . We weren't so got taxi from airport which was easy went to blue counter right outside international arrivals. No porter to take our bags in or up to our room. Had booked two singles but room had super king so we managed. We were two single ladies. Loved the decor and courtyard that our room opened onto. Great breakfast too which was included. Would also recommend a great little restaurant which I will review separately great salad and steak $12

They were undergoing a renovation when I was there. So it'll probably be different from what I experienced. The staff was nice. They all spoke English. The room itself was a little strange. It was a huge empty loft. You could park a Semi in there and still have plenty of room. With how big the room was it seemed really strange because it was so empty. There wasn't too much furniture there, just the necessities, i.e. bed, chair, dresser with a tv, small minibar fridge, and a table/desk thingy. The hotel itself is in a good location and close to a lot of restaurants and touristy attractions. Hopefully the renovations are done soon.

Tribeca Apart Hotel has excellent

Tribeca Apart Hotel has excellent rooms - large, high ceilings. Can be a bit chilly in winter, but has air-conditioning/heating unit only in the bedroom. The kitchenette is equiped only with a sink and a microwave - no pots, pans, cutlery and not even a fridge (the minibar will just about serve as this if needed). However, breakfast provided is good, and you can ask for plates etc... to use in the room, though these are invariably cleared away by the maid and taken back when she cleans the room each day. Wifi throughout hotel, but often difficulty connecting. Location in the centre is excellent, and given this, the price is reasonable for Buenos Aires.

Hotel is well located and reasonable quiet considering the location in a narrow side street off the main Avenue. The room has a no coffee making facilities, a mirowave oven, but no microwave dishes crockery or cutlery, obviously as a ploy to use the minibar. The staff were a bit variable in helpfulness, but generally OK. Very clean, but it seems to have been a little while since the last makeover and it is now looking a bit tired.

In November 2009 I arrived at Tribeca Buenos Aires Apart Hotel with my fully prepaid [...] voucher for a 6 night stay. The person at the counter told me that a block of rooms in the hotel was undergoing repair, and that they had arranged for me to stay at another hotel for Friday and Saturday nights, and that I should return Sunday. Whereas Tribeca advertises free WiFi, the new hotel charged a daily fee for this. When I asked the new hotel if they could ask Tribeca if they would cover my WiFi, they said that Tribeca told them they would analyze the situation and let me know the following day (I never heard back). I had to check-out of the alternate hotel at 11:00am. When I returned to Tribeca, I was told that I couldn't have my room until 1pm because that was the check-in time, and I would need to put my luggage in storage. The clerk (a different clerk than the one I saw originally) explained the delay by telling me that the hotel was fully booked (no mention of repairs), and that's why I couldn't have my room at 11am.

They Stepped Right Up...

I can not offer any other detail about the hotel, except that when my wife and I arrived late on our check-in day apparently they had sold our room. Within seconds, the manager sorted out what had happened, called for a radio car (gratis) and we were taken a few blocks further down the block to the Apart Hotel & Spa Congreso. This was on the corner of Bartolome Mitre and Av. Callao. (On the corner is La Americana, a great pizza and empenada restaurant). When we checked in, the desk clerk had already spoken to the manager at Tribeca, we were whisked up to our room. Actually it was three rooms. There was enough space for 6 people. The Apart is quiet, and the breakfast is filling. Service was top-shelf. We checked out, left our bags, and ran around the city for the rest of the day. At about 6pm, we hailed a large radio taxi, stopped at the Apart to collect our bags, and hit EZE. Based on the manager's quick actions, we would certainly try Tribeca again next trip...
