The staff were lovely and it’s a convenient location. However, the sheets, towels and carpet are all extremely stained making it feel very dirty.

They replaced the towels for us when we requested that, but overall, the hotel experience did not match up with the images and descriptions provided.

Well we stay for 9 days. And to be honest at first I was impressed. But two ir three days went bye. They only give us one toilet paper. And towels there was one o or two. That we went to the front desk to ask them and told us that they did not have any at the time. We had to wait one day to get clean towels. But the cleaning lady everyday she went and clean our room.

My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights from March 8th - March 13th, and what we really liked was the service and staff there. Everyone was super friendly to us and always ready to help. We had some issues with our luggage (unrelated to them) and they offered to let us use their phones to try and contact who we needed. What we did not like, was the hotel itself. The lift had this awful motion that made us feel sick every time it stopped; the aircon in our room was broken for the entire duration of our stay (which is not fun when you're in a hot south-american country); the wifi also stopped working halfway through our stay so we had no internet for the last 3 days which we really needed to be able to plan the next leg of our trip; and the general cleanliness of the room was quite disappointing-we had dead flies on the bathroom ceiling. Finally, the biggest issue was simply that our room (and the hotel quite frankly) does not look anything like the photos advertised on Expedia. The photos on Expedia are very heavily edited and carefully selected so as to not show you anything that might be wrong with the room. Other than that, the people were lovely and the breakfast was good.

DISGUSTING. Gym has a treadmill that looks like it is from 1920 and DOES NOT work. There are no speeds, so you take your best guess and then about 30 seconds into running, it abruptly STOPS. This happened repeatedly. There is a random set of dangerous stairs leaned over next to the treadmill and two other machines have gross tears throughout the entire seat. This is NOTHING like the pictures on hotels.com advertise. Overall, it was a gross stay and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Never using this platform again unless hotels.com handles this correctly. Cancelled my remaining stay.

Hotel? No - HELL-tel! No air conditioning in our room. Given a fan instead, that exploded with an electric shock that nearly killed a member of our family. So hot we could hardly sleep. Wi-Fi did not work. Location was good , but Will NEVER stay there again!

This was the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It was dirty and old. The sheets, comforter, and curtains all had stains on them. There was hair in the bathroom and something stuck in the sink which looked dirty. The water has such a strong smell of chlorine that we couldn’t shower or even use it to brush our teeth. When offered another room, it was even worse and the hallway smelled like smoke. Never mind that the bathtub was cracked and the caulking was black and had clearly been bleached to clean. I don’t know how this hotel had such high ratings because it was disgusting and if it hadn’t been so late we’d have gone elsewhere. We could not wait to get out of this place.

Porque viajaba con mi sobrina, no solo que me dieron una matrimonial sino que noté cero voluntad de ayudarme, al llegar a la habitación separé yo las camas (eran dos camas unidas tip sommier) el tema que pedí sábanas y una frazada para la cama que acababa de separar y solo me llevaron una frazada por lo que tuve que usar una de las sábanas de la otra cama para no dormir sobre el colchón. Al día siguiente en mi segunda noche no solo que no lo corrigieron sino que volvieron a unir las camas. Impresentables. El hotel es viejo y descuidado. Ni por asomo es un 4 estrellas. El estacionamiento si vas con un auto mediano muy complicado de subir. Es muy probable que lo rayes. Mejor elijan otro

The lobby was beautiful, but the beauty ended there. The room was dated & had very noisy plumbing. Our air-conditioner didn’t work hardly at all, and none of the staff spoke English so we couldn’t exactly communicate this concern nor did we feel that they cared. We spent two nights roasting. I hate to sound harsh, but my Spanish is minimal, so don’t list “Staff Speaks English” on your site if no one can speak it. The elevators were so old we feared for our lives a few times while riding in them. The only good things to this hotel were mini fridge in room, decent breakfast, and good location. Other than that I wouldn’t stay there again.

The hotel was very good, the decor could certainly use a refresh, but overall is well maintained. There are details that could use some close attention (loose bathroom fixtures, loose screws on elevator doors, etc.), but nothing too obvious. The breakfast was good, though lots of carbs, but not bad at all. The room size was great! Very ample room with a round table and two chairs and a wooden bench attached to the wall, close to the entrance which was very handy. Nice size closet, too. was quite large The location was not the greatest, because of the people around it... There are a lot of homeless people around, as well as shubby/undesired people just standing around the block. I did not feel unsafe as I've lived in Buenos Aires for 10 years before, but for solo female travelers this may not be the best area.

The Centuria is a clean hotel on a quiet street located near shopping and the subway. The rooms are of adequate size and the breakfast buffet has a varied selection of foods. The only issue was that the mattresses were somewhat old and uncomfortable. Overall, a pleasant hotel and a good value.

Mixed bag; depends on the room you get
I had three different stays at this hotel in Buenos Aires (using it as a base between different places). All the three rooms I had were very different, varying in: style, decor, practicality, cleanliness. One room was pretty borderline but on the other hand, another was lovely. Buenos Aires isn't a cheap city for hotels so all-in-all, this was still a good choice.

This hotel is very convenient at great location. Restaurant , coffee shops and subway within 100 meters. Hot dishes provided in breakfast. Only the mattress deformed a lot, replacement is necessary. I had stayed in this hotel before and after Iguazu Fall trip.

Overall this hotel is okay but nothing special. Location in center of town close to metro. Street very quiet we did not feel comfortable walking at night. Front desk personal not flexible at all for a little earlier check-in or an hour extension to checkout. Could only be done by paying an extra half day. Be aware when booking an express room. You end up on an outside patio with rooms all facing the courtyard. Room smelled bad and was very small. We changed to a regular room at the main hotel by paying the difference. There are better hotels in BA for the price we ended up paying. Breakfast very basic nothing special. We do not recommend this hotel.

Staff was actually pretty decent people, but in terms of room cleanliness, I noticed sometimes the towels were not changed and the same goes for the glasses. Location is pretty good in terms of accesibility, if you are scared of bums, take in consideration that you will see quite a few in the nearby areas, especially at night.

Upon arrival had no electricity for past 3 to 4 days. Staff apologized. Informed us that we were not able to check in. Staff recommended Conte Hotel a few blocks away which had power. We were told refund coming from Expedia which we received 2 weeks later. Conte Hotel was convenient location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Located on multi-lane street but contrary to other reviews was not noisy. Hot and continental buffet breakfast was good. Would recommend Conte Hotel.

Nice little hotel! Can walk to everything!
Some of the staff didn't (mornings generally) didn't understand basic English. I know we're soiled, but we are! Breakfast was fine, basic European style, lots of different breads, ham, cheese. There was a nice terrace off the 1st floor and an area in front of the Hotel, which made it look the nicest, compared to the other 4 on the street. Safe neighbor (it is a major city) and you can walk to just about everything (okay, we tool the Metro D to the Zoo - $5 AP!). Lots of restaurants and shopping, with several taking US$ at about 50% more than the 'official' rate.

I am very concern about my stay at the Centuria Hotel in Buenos Aires. We arrived to the hotel on Saturday morning, but as it wasn't check in time yet, we left our luggage and went to visit the city. We came back late at night and we got into the room then. We started looking for a plug for charging our equipments when we noticed a bra from another guest in the room. We adknowlegde this to the front desk. Next morning we went again to the front desk to let them know about the bra. We left to visit the city and when we came back at night, the bra was still there. Next day, we were already departing and the bra was still there. We decided to talk to the manager and he said he had to see what happened and that nothing could be done for us as guests. He said that we could go to complain to the tourism department, but it was terrible his procedure and behaviour towards us.

Hotel Centuria, located in the heart of Buenos Aries, is within walking distance to many cultural activities. Access to public transportation as well as underground parking is available. Central hotel OK for a night or two
Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. The central location is good and the hotel is adequate for a short stay particularly at the rate we paid when combining with a flight. The room we had was small and like the rest of the hotel had been refurbished on a budget. The hotel is on a pedestrian street so there is little traffic noise but the hotel itself is noisy with mysterious bumps and bangs and the walls are thin. Our room was opposite the lifts which are \"clunky\" and disturbed us till late at night. The breakfast is adequate but if you go early i.e. before 8 am, forget the scrambled eggs or any hot food.

Great Location
A great location once you get used to the local area. We initially were extremely concerned about our safety in the area but after one day realised it was all good and very well located. We loved walking the nearby boulevards, especially the short walk to Cafe Tortoni!!!! The hotel was staffed by just one hard working receptionist who was jack of all trades. The breakfast was adequate but someone needs to explain that boiling water is require for tea. The coffee was also generally cold. Nothing that a microwave didn't fix once the staff were asked.

Room was clean. Electricity went out three times, no AC or tv after power was restored. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is minimal. Helpful to get a taxi. Can walk to hundreds of good restaurants. Subways are close. Safe neighborhood. As for Buenos Aires.. Don't freaking bother. If you're American everyone here will try their best to stiff you, over charge, wrong change and wrong charges. Taxi charged $80 US or he wouldn't release my bags for a 30 minute ride from the airport. That's $800 Argentinian. Done with this place. Like fresh meat in a lions den. Couldn't wait to get the heck out of there. No wonder their Econ is where it is. It's man vs man.

It's good for a couple of nights, not a fun place or a hotel that will endure in your memories. We made a reservation for a standard room for 2 adults and 1 child (child stays for free) but there was only one double bed and no bed, couch or stretcher for the kid. Since we were only staying a few hours it was not a big deal for us but be careful if you require a bed for a child.

Very convenient and pleasant hotel and staff.
I recommend the hotel highly. The faciities are fine and the staff is very supportive. The location is great, with fun restaurants & sidewalk cafes one block away, a famous tango cafe two blocks away, and for those interested in an excellent language school the El Pasaje Spanish School, which I attended and recommend, is three blocks away. I did not have to take public transportation or a taxi once in my two-week visit, except to and from the airport.

I paid AUD 170 for three nights. Very good value as it seems. For this price it was an excellent hotel in perfect location in the middle of everything. I would see it in the three- to four-star category, perhaps leaning towards the latter.
I didn't take breakfast (didn't look like it was worth 60 pesos given there are so many cafes nearby) and didn't make use of any other services, so I can't comment on them. The room was nice, free wifi worked fine. Heating (it was end-june) was adequate.
Staff were friendly, spoke English where my broken Spanish hit its limits, and were very helpful sorting out things like getting my bus tickets printed. Overall a really nice experience. Basic No Frills with Good Location
I would give this hotel 3 out of 5 stars overall. It is really basic with no frills. The pros: Free WiFi, helpful front desk staff, and they speak English fairly well. The location is good, in the center of Buenos Aires. I even walked to Puerto Madero and back, which took about 25 mins each way if you know where you're going. There are grocery stores and restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. The cons: No carpet in the hotel room, the TV is nice and new but the bed and chairs are old and not very comfortable. The bathroom is ok, nothing special. There was no nice view outside the window. All I could see was the roofs of old buildings. This is a basic hotel so if you want something more luxurious you will probably find that in Puerto Madero, Recoleta, or parts of Palermo. There is no business center with computers and printers. There is also no gym, and the breakfast provided is good but expensive. There was a refrigerator/minibar but it was not cold at all so you cannot really store food in the room. (this is not uncommon, several hotels outside the U.S. do not seem to have a functioning fridge in the room) There was also no ironing board. Overall, this is a basic hotel with a decent location. It is fine for a night or two, but if you're going to be staying for several nights, you can probably find a more comfortable hotel with better services and amenities and maybe a nicer view as well.

The hotel was in a great central position. You could walk to most attractions if you wanted to. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing seemed to much trouble. Free wi-fi was fantastic and connecting has never been so easy. The room I was in was basic but clean and comfortable. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room however. The fitness centre is very basic, but enough for the average person to get a workout in. Overall, I would definately recommend this hotel if you were after something clean, central and with awesome staff.

Great Hotel for Travellers
We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. It has a very good location to every point. The staff are nice and very helpfull. Especially Fernando at front desk for the afternoon shift during our stay, he provided us a lot of help and local information, including telling us the annual Tango festive there. Thus we didn't miss that wonderful Tango shows, which most of the travellers missed.

I'm literally astounded that so many people liked this place so much. The lobby is shiny, but my room felt very old and, with a gross bedspread and grosser spare blanket in the closet as the only covers besides a single sheet, not very clean. **ADDITIONALLY** they SAY that they have a safe in every room but THIS IS NOT TRUE. there is a safe BOX in each room but to operate it you need a key - they do not have enough keys, so you may not get one, and if you DO they will CHARGE YOU for it. 6 pesos per day-cheap but I am disgusted that 1) I did not have a safe for my full stay & 2) when I finally got one, they CHARGED me for it despite \"in-room safe\" being listed as an amenity. This is a hotel that makes you turn in your key each time you leave, which would be fine, except that 1) there's not always someone staffing the desk where the keys are kept and 2) all you have to do to get the key is say a room number - even if the staff member at the desk has never seen you before, they will not ask for any sort of name or identification. That didn't make me feel unsafe but it did make me worry about the security of my things. One of the staff was quite polite, the rest were quite rude to me. The bathroom was small (most of floor space taken up by toilet and bidet) but mostly clean. The walls are paper-thin and my room was very noisy at all hours. It's in a really great location, and in the end that was the only redeeming factor.

RRooms weren't bad, but nothing fancy. Staff was great. We had a guide (not booked though the hotel) for an outing planned but the guide stiffed us at the last minute. The guy at the front desk spent probably an hour trying to find a guide for us on short notice. We didn't spend any time in the city, but the hotel seemed to be close to the city center. Breakfast was ok, but not worth the price. Better places to eat nearby if bfast isn't included in your room.

Hi, we stayed here two nights. The hotel reception looks very promising even if it is located in a suspicious street that is not to safe at night. Though the rooms are not in parity. They were small and had old carpets, TV and furniture. The bed was really bad with a lot of creaking noise. Also there was no safe and the door/lock was of inferior quality. Positive side was the friendliness in the reception and quality of breakfast.
