I was delighted in every way by this hotel. It is absolutely deserving of its 4*, i found it above European standards in aesthetics and comfort. The staff were both professional and friendly, allowing us an early check-in. There were no defects in the room (the only sign everything in it wasn't brand new was a little rust on bathroom vent), which was bright (with amazing balcony vdirectly onto the obelisk), comfortable, classy. Lobby areas are welcoming, cool, clean, and tranquil respite from hot street. Some visitors might find the glass walk-in shower cramped, otherwise everything was roomy. Some traffic noise is inevitable but it did not bother our sleep. Air conditioning worked well (although it was either on or off...no thermostat).

The elevator is extremely loud and my room was right next to it and it wakes you up every time the door opens. The rooms are much smaller than the photos look. The location of the hotel is very good but overall the standard was quite poor and there was no concierge as advertised and there was no laundry service on the weekend

It was a nice place , however my room wasn’t the room I had booked . I was there only for 2 nights and it wasn’t worth changing the room . I had tours and excursions booked and got to hotel only to shower . Staff was great at the reception and helped me to sort out some immigration related paper work , breakfast was decent and my room was very clean .

This hotel has the BEST location, it’s right between many attractions, walking distance from restaurants, Puerto Madero, Plaza de Mayo, Calle Corrientes, etc. If you’re lucking enough like me and you get a high floor the view is amazing. I can compare it to Time Square more less.

Perfect location!! Highly recommended !

We loved the location of the hotel, and would definitely stay there again!! It was close to several tourist spots, and very walkable at night. The staff was very helpful, and we were more than pleased with our experience!! All week, we kept saying how lucky we were to have picked THIS hotel in THIS location! Wifi was free, but was a little better in the libby.

Heads up: Getting that great view was fun but you will need to close the curtains to keep the billboard lights from flashing into your room. Also, remember there will be 16 lanes of traffic driving by. I didn't have a problem though. I slept great but thought it was worth mentioning.

Misleading information about the hotel when I booked. No pool or spa.!!! The staff were friendly the location was fabulous. The room was clean but however smelling of stale cigarettes. The linen had cigarette burns . So much for a none smoking room . Throughly disappointing . I was wanting a treat as just finished cancer treatment.

Stolen device, bugs, noisy, nasty place!

Initially they gave me a room which was full of dead bugs and the air condition didn't work. They did change my room which was then clean and air condition worked. But I had an electronic device stolen from my room and was constantly woken up during the middle of the night. The receptionist just blew me off and said there was nothing he could do. Bad experience!!!

The view of the room was amazing 😉. Best view of Downtown and \"El Obelisco\" of Buenos Aires.

The rooms are okay: clean and comfortable for Buenos Aires downtown. Those rooms which have better sight (looking at the Obelisco) are slightly bigger but noisy because the avenue is very busy. But the inner rooms are smaller but quiet.

The location is an asset and the prize is okay. The breakfast is delicious and you can try many kind of \"medialunas\" (sort of croissants).

The staff is friendly and lively. They can suggest you great place to visit and help you with all you need. Certainly I would come back!

I went to Buenos Aires for leisure , I really enjoyed my stay in the city.

Small room but pretty clean. The staff in the front desk and dining room are very nice and helpful, except one guy from reception called Nauhel- an antipathic guy! he can't work in front desk at 4* hotel. Even not in a hostel.
Free WiFi only at the lobby.
Best location in Buenos Aires. Very centric. Close to everything. Excellent point to start your day.

Standard rooms U$S38/night confortable and quiet

Visitors to this hotel can get low fees per night if you book online only. There is no discount if you book at the hotel. If you want, you pay a little extra and have breakfast included during you stay.

The breakfast is from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and includes a wide range of cereals, drinkable yogurts, salads, all types of teas and coffee, faturas (Latin pastries which are more tastes than french pastries) toast and scramble eggs. I did not see any bacon and eggs but I am sure they can accommodate for that too. The dining room is spacious, modern and clean and is staffed by very friendly people who can speak multiple languages like English, Portuguese etc.

Wi Fi is not included in the rooms but for an extra $20 Argentine pesos (U$S2) you can have the Wi Fi connected in your room otherwise do what everyone does and go downstairs in the main lounge room and use the free internet connection while meeting new people. The common lounge room downstairs is very spacious and comfortable and one can spend hours working on a project or teleconference there.

The standard rooms are pleasant and medium sized and are serviced daily by good staff. Just remember to ask for the rooms facing the back of the hotel like rooms 815 and 816 which when you open the windows a lovely breeze comes into the rooms. The rooms facing the obelisk have a lovely morning sunlight coming into the room encompassing brightness and warmth.

The hotel is very good located, even though it is very old and the room was very thiny, it doesnt look like in the photo. you have to pay an addittional fee for wifi in the room. Staff were no very helpfull, they just tell you the basic info to survive as a turist.

Hotel location is excellent for budget travelers. It is closed to bus stop but no street name on the street. I missed the hotel name plate that is at the other side of the street so it's hard for me to find.

The reception helped me to book a shuttle bus to airport from hotel for AR60.

Very Central, not 3.5 stars!

Hotel is very central on av 9 de julio near the obelisk. The fascade looks dated and so is the interior. Reception were slow and there was a large queue when we tried to check out. The room overlooked the main highway and was not very well soundproofed from it. The air con was very ineffective and loud fan, which was needed as the room was hot even though it was winter. Not very clean, marks on towels, bedding and walls. The lift was infuriating and had a mind of its own!

La Republica Hotel.

Easy to find location right at the center of town next to the obelisk statue that can be seen from many locations. Close to the subway transportation system. The front desk staff was very helpful describing optional tours, and even going out into the street to find me a person selling umbrellas on a rainy day. Good room rates.

Breakfast was great with typical Argentinian breads and pastries very similar to other hotels I've stayed at. Location was perfect it's within walking distance to everything. Service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant attached to the hotel has great food at an affordable and resonable price much less than surrounding restaurants. I would stay here again

We arrived at the hotel early in the morning and we were set up immediately (good Start).
As we arrived to our rooms we notice that we had booked 2 deluxe rooms with a double bed each and we got 2 separate beds, as we asked in the counter for the correct kind of bed, they told us it depends on the hotel and not on the reservation, they said we will be changed when available, but it did not happen.
Breakfast is ok, we hoped better.
Internet is not free in the rooms only in the lobby.
The rooms were very clean.

Very centre of BA, but there are other hotels close by and better. Other than clean room everything else was poor quality. Breakfast was worst I've experienced, for example orange was orange by colour only. Coffee was worst I've ever tasted. Croissants had a weird flavour. Staff seemed a little stressed and not that helpful. Lift/elevator could be a wait too. Saving grace was it's price for the location, which gets a bit sketchy late at night. Room too hot and I was told they only provide heat at this time of year, with a story that they may change to a/c tomorrow - never happened.

The rooms are too small.

The hotel is located near all the theaters, shopping and easy transportation, but the rooms are extremely smalls and you can hear everything from other rooms.

We would recomend this hotel to anyone. We had an executive room which is a front facing room with a balcony which gave great veiws over the main Juilo 9 Avenue and of the Obolisc. The only two things that we would mention is that the room cleaners didnt dust the worktops and there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Otherwise the reception staff were most helpfull with 50% speaking english, and the buffet breakfast was plentifull.

I chose the hotel because of the location and the price. The rooms were small,but we knew this by reading other reviews. We stayed 2 nights and as we were only in the hotel room to sleep at night after a full day of sightseeing, it was adequate. The room was clean, shower hot and the bed comfortable. Staff spoke Spanish, sometimes difficult to communicate, but they tried to be helpful and meet our needs.Breakfast was included in the price and it was delicious. We were happy with our stay and would stay there again.As it was a weekend the spa etc was not open.

The Hotel's location is incredible. You are in the center of town! For the price- it was well worth the stay. The breakfast buffett was pretty good. They do need to purchase new bedspreads- they were a little outdated and showed wear.

A tv é velha, poderia ser melhor e oferecer serviço de streaming. O único ponto negativo na minha opinião é que as portas dos quartos são muito barulhentas para fechar, como cada hóspede tem seu horário/rotina, as portas batem o tempo inteiro e atrapalha para dormir.
