The location of the hotel is great: walking distance to the obelisk and plaza mayor. Few blocks away from the theater district full of entertainment and eateries. Beautiful buildings all around but sadly appeared to have seen better days. We really appreciated the firm comfortable mattresses. We didn’t mind the thin towels or lack of fancy toiletries products. Quiet room, comfortable mattresses, helpful staff, and great location made this hotel a great choice for us. The breakfast was not good value but diagonally across the street, Cafe Martinez offered good choices.

We enjoyed the location, which is close to the obelesk and Guerrin Pizza (a must when in BA). The hotel staff is wonderful and reception works with those that need early check in or late checkout. We needed both and they held our luggage securely while our room was readied. There is a nice restaurant in the lobby area where we ate once. There is a hot tub, reservable for 45 minute stretches.

Our room was modern, quiet, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was good, with excellent coffee.

Very disappointing for a hotel that seems to have some great reviews. The whole ambience is dead and dismal. However, what struck us the most was the bare amenities in the room. Not even a bottle of water, leave alone a tea and coffee counter. The bathroom had nothing beyond soap and shampoo, none of the customary kits you would expect from a hotel of this class.
The breakfast at $15 per head is little better than a continental breakfast, where you have to pay extra for an omelet.
The saving grace is the location of the property, which is very central and in the midst of great dining, shopping and opera options.

Definitely a place to return to

We visit Buenos Aires often and booked this hotel without knowing anything more than the website ad/photos. Although not the best immediate neighborhood street, it is located convenient to all our needs. We were both pleased with the staff and services. The ONLY point we would offer to inprove would be to provide direct communication with Housekeeping. We had breakfast there every day and dinner on the last evening.

I am a Platinum member for Hotels.com and had booked this hotel a bit last minute because of the \"VIP Access\" perks that were offered at the time of booking. We checked in and were given a room \"on the first level\" which apparently is actually two levels above the lobby and entrance. We were met with a very dimly lit floor. There were no lights on within 20 feet of the elevators. The room itself was a few steps from the elevator, next to an office/janitor's room and the service elevator (we found that out when we heard the whirring of the elevator throughout our stay). The room itself was very basically appointed. It actually seemed like one of those rooms they don't use often. The towels were tired (there were no wash cloths); the mini fridge was not cleaned and barely cool; there was half a roll of toilet paper with no 'extra' in the bathroom. There was also no tissue box. Trying to take a hot shower in the morning, we realized there was no hot water to the room. I called it down but decided to forego the shower altogether when they told me they would send someone up in \"maybe 10 minutes\". We were then convinced they had probably turned the hot water off to the room since it was rarely (if ever) used - my husband tried the hot water again for kicks about 30 minutes after I called for kicks, only to find that they had turned the hot water on. Only lucky husband was able to squeeze in a hot shower since the hotel wouldn't accommodate a late checkout.
