This hotel is located on a busy and somewhat sketchy street. The staff do not speak English and did not respond to any emails, phone calls or hotels.com messeges prior to our arrival (which was frustrating). The walls are thin so you can hear the TV next door and the breakfast is quite moderate (but priced at $12 per person - you might be able to get it for less at the hotels.com app). The rooms do have a tea kitchen and a table, a nice bathroom, and the beds were OK. The room was so-so clean. Overall, I would recommend a hotel in a more central location.

pics looked great when it was renovated years ago but now it just run down. floors in hallways and rooms are torn up and coming apart. toilets and faucets are not functioning correctly. breakfast was not that great. the best thing was the cheap rate and now I know why. location was also good.

The location of the hotel was great. The staff especially Mateas were super helpful, courteous. The internet though advertised to be in room , was hardly capturable , except in lobby.
The greatest deficiency was housekeeping. One day they did not even clean the room. Everyday we had to ask for new towels. They would take the dirty ones , but not leave clean ones, you then had to call front desk in order to get fresh towels.The only other thing which was minor in that they controlled the a/c, most of the time only the fan worked, was told ambient temp had to be a certain temp before a/c would kick in (after complaining a few times however it miraculously stayed cold.

Right in the center of the capital...

Right off we chaged room because of lousy wifi signal. Given a triple room on the first floor..not too bad at first. Then as the two weeks past it just got worse.. The buffet was actually more a CONTINENTAL BUFFET. There were no eggs and only had rolled slices of ham and sweets and bread. Not for gluten free diets! Buffet did not look like the online photo. Small space and cold and drafty. A fruit salad in a bowl was drowned in orange juice. I learned too late to ask for a whole apple... After the first two days it was cold in room #104, window didn't close properly and cold air was coming in. It was four (4) degrees and the heating didn't work. Service guy said they needed two day to open the wall to fix what was burned. The last few days when system got turned on it made a very loud noise, so it got turned off. Internet was impossibly maddening! I brought my iPad along so I could message home, avoiding long distance calls. Consecutive days without Internet...even in the lobby it was spotty at best. Being planet contious we put towels out of the shower back on the rack. Too late we discovered that when they were put on the floor and hanging from the tub, the maid actually put them back on the rack, sometimes just tossing them there. For two days unknowingly we used the towels that had been put on the floor (my husband had aclually wiped the floor with them after showering) these were used on our faces! Two days no towels. Saturday one elevator worked. Charged for local calls

Our stay was not as we had planned. Very BAD.....We arrived at our America Plaza Hotel and was given a dirty room.There were dirty towels and water leaking from the air condition.No hot water in the shower.Room carpet was dirty and after request was given a little better room but still no hot water in our room and water leaking fron air condition.....So we decided to change our hotel and got a better hotel.

Central location reasonably priced

We stayed at the America Plaza Hotel for a week and found it a reasonably central location with good dining options nearby and access to the subway. The hotel was adequate for our purposes and the staff were mostly helpful, particularly the chief receptionist who assisted us via email prior to our stay. Our very limited Spanish didn't help as some staff also had very limited English. This hotel appears to cater more for the Latin American market but suited us fine.

The reception staff was friendly and informative. Location was very good. walking distance to main road and subway. Rooms serviced every day but floors not cleaned in the 4 days we stayed, resulting in a lot of dust and dirt. Rooms were large and airy, and breakfast spread good.

We arrived very early morning after a long international flight and were processed quickly and went straight to bed. We had a very large sunny quiet and warm room on the 9th floor. The bed and pillows were among the best we have encountered. Breakfast included a wide range of choices and was very good. Location very central and easy walking to subte line Callao and Congresso. Friendly staff with good English. This was our first time in this hotel and next time we return to Buenos Aires we will go back there.

The Ameristar met our needs as travellers. It was clean, comfortable and staff were always willing to try and answer your questions. The rooms were actually quite large and there was plenty of space to put the suitcases and other items. The safe in our room was always put to good use.

The condition of the hotel is not bad. But there are many places better for the same price. Good things: The breakfast was good. The room is huge. Bad things: The air conditioning didn`t work, the room wasn`t very clean, the bed smells old, the location is not the best but the Subway is 3 blocks away.

One disappointing night and three great ones

I now understand the mixed reviews about this hotel. We booked in for four nights but our room on the first night was pretty miserable; cold, scruffy with a view over a carpark -although the bathroom was freshly renovated. HOWEVER, at our request we were moved to a delightful room on the \"sunny side\" of the hotel that was well appointed, warm, large, with an interesting rooftop view. The reception and breakfast staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location was central, only a short taxi ride from most attractions and we even found a tango lesson close by.

O Hotel é muito bem localizado, na frente tem um mercado, na esquina tem um restaurante, dar p fazer os principais pontos turísticos a pé. Quanto aos funcionários, achei bem educados, solícitos. O ar-condicionado funcionava bem, a cama era grande e confortável, havia frigobar, o quarto era bem grande, com uma sala e cozinha americana.

O café da manhã é bom, para beber tem opção de café, leite, suco de laranja e outras frutas e iogurte, para comer tem frutas, cereais, 4 opções de medialunas, presunto, queijo, geleias, manteiga, bolos e pão de forma, com torradeira e sanduicheira para utilização, além do que fica exposto podemos pedir ovo (mexido, frito e omelete com presunto e queijo), como sugestão o hotel poderia colocar bacon.
A localização do hotel é boa, perto duas linhas do Sube e 3 estações, tem um Carrefour na frente, pizzaria na esquina e o Banco para fazer cambio de moeda estrangeira por peso argentino na esquina também, porém quando fica mais de noite a rua fica vazia e perigosa com as pessoas que estão na rua, tendo que tomar mais cuidado ao voltar para o hotel. De sexta e sábado tem um estabelecimento que fica na frente do hotel aberto até de madrugada com música e conversas alta, ficamos no 5 andar e para a rua, não nos atrapalhou para dormir.
Quanto ao atendimento, não tivemos problemas com os colaboradores, check-in realizado pelo Sr. Marco e não tivemos nenhum problema, super atencioso, no café da manhã também, sempre educados.
Um ponto que o hotel pode melhorar, a limpeza e manutenção do quarto, os lençóis e toalhas tem manchas, não são novas e nem conservadas e quando entramos no quarto tivemos a impressão de que o jogo de lençol não tinha sido trocado para a nossa entrada. Quanto a manutenção do quarto, tem muitas marcas de batidas de móveis nas paredes, marca de riscos e sujeira.

Al volver a la noche, al frente del hotel habia una especie de pub con las persianas bajas pero con la música a todo volumen lo que generó inquietud por la seguridad y ruidos molestos.
Durante la siesta, la limpieza de las habitaciones del piso se generaba mucho ruido y golpes que opacaban la tranquilidad.
De todas maneras, en líneas generales, quedé muy conforme con el hotel y ya lo estoy recomendando

A estadia foi excelente!
O hotel fica muito próximo ao Congresso Nacional da Argentina, o que facilita bastante a locomoção. Os principais pontos turísticos estão a cerca de 9 quadras de distância, até a avenida principal — ou seja, dá para fazer muita coisa pé.

O staff do hotel é extremamente atencioso, sempre prontos para ajudar no que for preciso. O quarto é espaçoso e muito confortável, ideal para descansar bem após um dia cheio de passeios.

O café da manhã é muito bom, com qualidade. Aliás, é fundamental sair bem alimentado para aproveitar os passeios do dia — já prontos e com energia!

Estadia super confortável! Destaque para a cama maravilhosa que se eu pudesse traria para casa e o chuveiro com ducha forte e água aquecida em todas as torneiras do quarto. Servico de quarto, cofre, frigobar, espelho de corpo inteiro, shampoo, condicionador, sabonete de banho e localização também foram pontos muito positivos. Tem uma Smart fit e um mini carrefour na frente.

Café muito bom. Tem frutas, frios, café, leite, paes e muitas medialunas e pode pedir ovos mexidos.

Quanto ao banheiro, existem muitos comentários falando que molha muito a parte seca. E isso sim foi um pouco incomodo, mas se tornou um ponto negativo muito pequeno perto de tantas coisas positivas. Sem dúvida voltaria!

Pessoa da recepção muito prestativos e simpaticos. O quarto grande, cama King, roupas de cama muito organizada e limpas. Pegamos 3 quartos todos bons com mini cozinhas mas ficamos a contento. Moças da limpeza muito queridas e prestativas. O único problema q acho sério é o box, cai toda a água p fora e faz uma bagunça molhando todo o banheiro. Além de ser desconfortável e perigoso qndo sai após o banho, é muito perigoso escorregar. O pessoal do café são muito queridos e cuidadosos, sempre limpando as mesas tanto dos hóspedes após sairem e tbm do buffet. Arrumem o box. Obrigada

O hotel é muito bom. De fato procede as outras reclamações de hóspedes sobre o piso e sobre o banheiro que molha. Sinceramente, pelo custo benefício que ele oferece, a única coisa que realmente incomodou e que o hotel poderia se esforçar pra resolver é o chuveiro que sempre acaba molhando o banheiro todo. Não é tão caro pra solucionar. De qualquer forma, ficaria com certeza nele de novo. O café da manhã é ótimo, os quartos grandes, as camas confortáveis, e o hotel fornece um isolamento térmico muito bom para momentos de frio.

Não volto, elevadores perigosos!

Pontos positivos: Bom atendimento da recepção, quartos espaçosos e confortáveis.
Pontos negativos: Elevador antigo que despencou com hospede dentro que ficou preso por horas (!!!), tivemos que usar escadas para acessar os quartos. Pisos dos corredores quebrados, hotel precisa de manutenção urgente.

A estadia foi excelente!
Ficamos hospedados por 6 dias e durante todo o período somos muito bem atendidos.

O quarto é enorme, roupas de cama e banho sempre limpas, chão sempre impecável.

A localização é ótima, perto de tudo, tem um mercado na frente, restaurante na esquina, e casa de câmbio ao lado.

O quarto tem microondas, chaleira elétrica, armário enorme.

A vista fica um pouco a desejar, já que estamos bem no meio da cidade, mas dentro das condições, a vista é livre pois não há proximidade com outros quartos ou apartamentos.

O café da manhã o brasileiro vai estranhar um pouco a falta do mamão ou melão, e do pão fofinho.

Mas tem duas qualidades de pão de forma, frutas e sucos todos os dias, e ovo mexido sem qualquer acréscimo (outros hotéis cobram o ovo a parte!).

Destaque para mezaluna servida todos os dias, iorgurte de baunilha delicioso e a limonada de gengibre ( tomamos todos os dias!)

Personnel sympathique, hôtel propre quelques bons restaurants à 5 10 minutes à pied du mois l'hôtel, malheureusement j'ai pas pu essayer leur petit déjeuner parce que c'était un petit peu trop de bonheur pour moi, mais j'ai beaucoup aimé.

Bastante bien ubicada. Las habitaciones muy caro para lo que se ofrece. Cuando llegamos nos dijeron un precio, pagamos. Y al retirarnos nos dijeron que estábamos debiendo un monto igual al que habíamos pagado inicialmente.
Realmente nos fuimos muy decepcionados con la atencion, ya que en ningún momento reconocieron fue error de ellos.

Hotel muito bem localizado... Fica localizado a 1 quadra da estação de metrô congresso. Há um carrefour express e uma smart fit em frente ao hotel. Próximo a diversos locais para comer... O quarto é bastante amplo com uma mini cozinha pra caso a pessoa queira preparar algumas refeições rapidas no quarto.... O atendimento é bastante cordial, e embora não possua café da manha o custo benefício é muito bom... Me hospedaria novamente no hotel com toda a certeza...
