The beds are super tiny. I’m not sure even the width of a twin. The breakfast was mostly pastries, fruit and deli meats but they do have fresh juice and coffee everyday. The staff were helpful and courteous. Does get a little loud and busy sometimes being right next to Congress.

Front staff gentleman was very friendly and helpful. The rooms have seen better days. The breakfast that was included made up for it. Located in a very busy area, so be mindful of noise. Great for a couple of nights at best for the price.

I like the place where the hotel is situated, close to the park. Very good price, but not very good selection for the breakfast and scrambled eggs were cold every day. I was happy with the room and if I go to Buenos Aires again, I might choose this hotel.

I used the Taxi QR app at AEP airport to go to ibis. But there was a different IBIS (not Congresso), and the taxi driver drove us to a Novotal/IBIS. So we had to get another taxi to take us to Ibis Congresso. This is confusing for non Spanish speaker.

I like the location, AC and room service. There were 2 members of staff that could speak English which was very helpful.

I didn't like the fact that the hotel didn't have a WiFi connection for most of our stay, and the staff did not tell us when the WiFi will be back. We could not contact our families or work remotely due to this for days.

This hotel is in a great location, with shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There’s no kettle in the room but you can get coffees or hot water from the bar.
The staff are super- helpful and very friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I go to Buenos Aires

Meets Ibis standards

The hotel didn't disappoint, it's right next to Congress so it's about 1km from Microcentro (downtown) but it's close to a subway station. The place is clean, check-in is efficient and the room is the typical ibis setup. Look out for protests if staying here because you may have trouble reaching the hotel by car.

Ibis BA Congresso change your attitude!

The location of the hotel was convenient and the cleanliness and housekeeping services was to standard. The rooms were a bit depressing but it served the purpose of sleeping and showering. The rooms had heating which was great. Would have been useful to have a mini fridge in the room to store some food and drinks as buying everything fresh every day for a week gets quite expensive for each and every meal.

The main letdown regarding the stay was the staff. A positive thing I can say is they kept our bags stored when we went to Iguazu for a couple days and then came back without hassle. The front desk staff were unprofessional, unhelpful and generally seemed irritated when you had a query for them. As they are in the industry of customer service I would expect them to be helpful especially to tourists who are new to the city. The staff looked like they rolled out of bed and got to work (very messy) and just were unpleasant to speak to as they couldn't careless about you. Upon payment and leaving after we stayed at the hotel for 7 nights total, no thanks or anything was really mentioned. It was more just like great see you later, get out. No... \"thank you so much, how was your stay?\"

Wouldn't not recommend based on the unhelpful staff at the front desk. It's surprising as these people are the face of Ibis hotel chain in the beautiful city of Buenos Aires and they are getting people off to a bad start with their crappy attitudes. Housekeeping and bar staff were great.

We stayed only one night and it was good. Well located in the middle of Buenos Aires, close enough to touristic atractions like Casa Rosada, Congresso and some of the best tango shows. Recommend for short stays or layovers.

Convenient but expected better

First, the location is great for walking to many of the main sights downtown and has a subway station nearby to go further like Recoleta or Palermo. However, the plaza.the hotel borders is also where Congress is, so during my stay there was a massive riot/protest. The staff do their jobs but are not very friendly or helpful. The rooms are fine for the price but are in poor condition and not to the standard I expect from Accor. The walls have huge dents and large areas missing paint. The floor is of some weird material made to look like wood. It could a be linoleum. The bathroom has no window or fan so has mildew. Some of the fixtures were cracked and the shower needs to be descaled. The ceiling looks to be made from vinyl siding and needs a cleaning. Housekeeping was uneven. The first couple days they did a good job. My last few days they did not clean the floor or the shower. They basically put new toiletries, changed the garbage, made the bed and possibly changed the towels. The towels and linens had visible holes and marks. I do not expect such conditions from a hotel in this chain. My hostel in Uruguay had much better quality towels.

Our first dissatisfied IBIS

First, the condition of the bathroom was rather run down, not the usual IBIS that we are used to.

Secondly, after I informing the front desk I will be checking out late they still lock my room key card.

Third, trying to get my room key unlocked means I have to queue at front desk for 30 minutes. In the entire 30 minutes, there was one, ONLY ONE staff working hard to check in one, YES ONLY ONE customer.

Don’t get me wrong, she is probably doing her best, something is really wrong and make this a different IBIS.

Lastly, after we managed to get back into our room and trying to pack up our things so we can leave ASAP, one of the staff came knocking on our door reminding us the checkout time is 12 noon. And I had to explain to her is she was downstairs helping the other poor girl, I would have been gone by now!

I am sorry, this could be a one off incident, but it leaves a lasting impression. Youth Hostel does this better than you guys. Just imagine that.

I stayed at this hotel for 3days. Everyday, they cleaned up my room as It looks the first day. I did not have breakfast, I don't know how it was. Anyway, if you want to save your budget but keep a quality of stay, this hotel is the best in BA.

We enjoyed the ISIS Congresso hotel because of its near perfect location in Buenos Aeries; central to so many important areas of the city. Only three hotel employees could speak a little English but this was not a handicap. After all most of their guests are from South America. As for Buenos Aeries, it is crime packed! We were robbed on our last day. NOT a pleasant memory!

We found the hotel to be very comfortable in a good location. Very close proximity to many great sights by taxi, which is very cheap. You can also walk down Avenida de Maya to Plaza de Maya and enjoy beautiful architecture along the especially the Palacio Barolo which only a few blocks away from the hotel. Most staff spoke English and were always helpful.

The hotel itself passed all my tests for comfort, convenience, staff responsiveness etc. Selecting a hotel from a distance is challenging. With a 3 - night stop in Buenos Aires prior to a longer stay Brazil, I wanted to ensure a location that would serve as a convenient base for exploring the historic and downtown areas of BA. Ibis Congreso was a great choice for this. I didn't even use taxis because I was able to walk everywhere. I highly recommend Ibis Congreso.

This is a very basic hotel. The breakfast is not included. Wifi in the rooms and lobby. They charge you before even arrive, and considering the rate of chache of argentinian pesos, is preferable to reserve, then change in Argentina some dollars and then pay the hotel. The area of the Congreso is relatively out of the centre of the city. The staff is not so nice. The rooms are clean, but considering that a building is just in the other street, you must maintain the blackout of the windows all the day. I gave 2 stars, since I will not return to this hotel in my next trip to Buenos Aires.
