We thought there was a pool but there was no information about it and you had to enquire about it through the spa. One of the lamps in the room gave me a slight electrical shock. They replaced it. The kettle didn’t work. They replaced it. There was only tea and sugar. No coffee or milk. Bathroom door was opaque with toilet just behind it. I felt there was no privacy. Staff were wonderful. The room was spacious.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my children aged 4 and 18 in 2 rooms. While there were many great aspects, unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience during check out.
We were accused of \"breaking a kettle\" in one of the rooms. In fact, on arrival there was a crack and a small piece of the kettle lid missing, presumably caused by a previous guest. It was still working despite this so we had no need to report it to reception. We had to cancel our taxi and I was pressured into paying for a replacement. The man at reception was rude and intimidating lin contrast to the very polite and helpful man who was present at check in). As we were in a rush to rebook another airport taxi I had no option but to pay, rather than miss our flight. He did not provide an itemised receipt and had to be asked 3 times to give me my change from the tourist tax as well. He was sniggering with his colleagues and speaking with them about us in Spanish, as we could understand a few words.
My 4 year old was very upset by this. I have been in contact with my credit card company who are kindly arranging a charge-back, so at least I will get a refund for the kettle.
On the plus side, the rooms were large and clean and the location was convenient. The pool was nice although the hot tub and sauna were not working.
The dreadful experience at check out has unfortunately marred our short trip to Buenos Aires and has put me off from returning again.

Great location

It was a good stay at Kenton Palace. The place was clean and rooms were big with 2 double beds. The reception staff Sebastian was amazing and went out of his way to help us. There were couple of staff who were not so friendly. It was quite central and walking distance to restaurants and the main Mayo square. Would stay there again if in Buenos Aires.

It is central to many “must see” locations. We walked all over to Recoleta Cemetery, water front, Plaza de Mayo, Retiro, San Telmo, Teatro Colon, museum of Arts, local steak and coffee restaurants etc. Easy walks everywhere. Sunday market in front of hotel was fun to explore local artisans.

Starting with a deposit of $100 dollars even though I called to inquire if need any deposit and they told me no. Then, I had the VIP reservation and the pool was not included. They charged me additional money per each person to use the pool, just for a couple of hours, and we were 4 people. Lastly, they charged me a tax to leave the property that I was not counting with, because my understanding was that they charged me everything at the front with my reservation. Not including the pool was the most bothering thing since my kids wanted to use it and I had to pay a lot of extra money for its use. The area of the hotel is very unsafe, someone robbed my mom a block away from the hotel, a person grabbed my mother gold chain from her neck and rubbed away with it. No one did anything to stop it and was no police around it at all.

Good clean property in the old city. You can eadily walk to lots of the sites. Front dedk staff were outstanding snd they provided exchange US$ at very good rate. The foorman needd to smile not really warm guy. I do recommend this as a good hotel for the nohice trraveller. Safe place central location forget the hop on hop off it is hopeledd.

It felt more like a 3* hotel than a 4*. Service from reception desk was good. Rooms were clean but old. The pool is only open for a small amount of time and you have to pay extra for it. No onsite bar or restaurant and the breakfast is ok. The location is amazing though.

They refused to allow me visitors in my hotel room w out showing ID or passports! Never stayed anywhere in world that practiced this. Then they argued w me.
I had no WiFi for three days bc obviously their system can’t support hotel paying guests & all of their employees.
Finally, upon checking out, I was stuck in their tiny elevator for 30 minutes! I was terrified bc the elevator kept shifting & door opening partway in the middle of 10 floors! If you’re thinking of staying here, skip it.
The AC never worked, staff was unhelpful or completely rude, & their property isn’t well maintained as evidenced by getting stuck in a tiny, very hot elevator until maintenance plied the doors open. They gave me a small break on two room service orders, as their apology. Worst hotel stay in my life.

Good location - between San Telmo and main square. Friendly reception. Organised car to EZE airport for a 3.30am pick up. Very grateful. Good car and driver. Breakfast is buffet and good choice of cereal, breads, cakes, and eggs. Coffee good. Rooms are big and immaculate. Fridge in room. Have to pay to use spa etc. So didn’t look at it.

My flight from Canada was canceled, causing me to arrive a day late in Buenos Aires, and removing my need for this booking.

I explained the situation in advance of my stay, and even offered to move my booking to another night. I understand it was a non-refundable reservation, but every decent hotel I've been to offers some flexibility. It's annoying enough that I've lost a day from my trip.

If they had let me move the night (they did have vacancy), they would have had the same profit and a happy customer. Now they have a resentful customer who is happy to warn people about their service.

The room is really spacious and has nice comfortable beds. The bathroom is great too.

There is practically no view thou, the windows face another nearby building and you can get a glimpse of downtown.

The checkout time is really early at 10:30 am. I had an early evening flight so I asked for a late checkout, the latest time I got was 11:30 am. They did let me store my luggages in front desk.

It's very close to Plaza de Mayo, but the immediate surrounding seems to be a little sketchy.

They offer good breakfast, but charge AR$145 for the bottle water inside room.

Our only issue was with the shower, the wooden flooring in the shower doesn't properly drain water and it smelled funky after a few days.

Breakfast room was cute and the pool spa and jacuzzi were good to rest those tired legs after walking the streets of this atmospheric city. Great location near tons of stuff but a terrible hotel.

Breakfast- selection cerial and some bulk purchased pasters. Eggs where from a powder and ineatable. Fruit was from a can and milk and yogurt we left out without refrigeration.

Gym - the gym is only open several hours a day and requires the front desk to grant access. There are exactly two free weights of different sizes.

Policies - every visitors requires them to sign in at the front desk. Using the gym after checkout time is not possible. Elevator requires a key for everything which can be a problem at 10:31 am, one minute after checkout, and you need to go down to the lobby but are stuck in your floor.

Maintenance - I has several water issues with my room that after several requests where never resolved. This included a shower that would but change temperature and a toilet that kep leaking dirty water on the floor.

An ok hotel for the price, although slightly expensive in comparison to another hotel we stayed at in Buenos Aires around the time. Offers spa which we haven't had the chance to use, but from what we did see, the breakfast selection is pretty good, the room is clean and spacious, and the staff are fairly helpful, although slightly superficial. As with the other hotel, while there is a bath, it doesn't have a plug to actually take baths, so something else must be used to block the water (not sure what's the point of having a bath is in that case).
Generally can recommend it although like previously mentioned, there might be better hotels out there.

Great accessibility to San Telmo & Puerto Modern

The hotel is located very conveniently on Defensa street where the Sunday market takes place. In addition it is short walk to Chile street with some good restaurants and short walk to Puerto Modern which has some excellent restaurants. I love the staff at front desk and my favorite Bell boy Santiago. Room are clean and modern. If you need a extra area to dance or do yoga and have kids go for Suite room. Wifi options are good and breakfast is ok. Stayed there 2 times and this has become my go to hotel in San Telmo.

Great hotel with San Telmo market on its doorstep

Great hotel overall but a few aspects were off-putting. Security seemed excessive especially the minibar. The fridge had to be unlocked and a minibar pack had to be ordered - neither reception or the restraunt really wanted to help service our request. Not all staff spoke English well, which is fine, but checking with others to make sure the right information was being given was a little hit and miss. Great location if you want to be in the middle of the San Telmo market.

I was there on business. Because I work on the other side of the world, I work odd hours. I really rely on Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi signal is not very strong. To top it off there was a storm and we were left without Wi-Fi for a good 12 hour period. My stay included a weekend. Everything is closed on Sunday in that area. Whilst the staff is friendly and helpful, I feel this is a hotel better suited for those who are on tour or traveling for tourism. Also, the doors are very noisy. You can hear every time somebody comes in and out of their room.

Not a bad hotel, but not great. Thin walls and not well insulated windows so it can get noisy from inside and outside. Also, the service on the two occasions I requested it was astonishingly slow. I asked for an iron and after two follow-up calls it came after two hours. Then I ordered room service. Just a brownie, but it took 90 minutes. Really unbelievable. If you ignore that and the noise, it's fine though.

Spent 4 nights at the Kenton Palace! It was a wonderful experience! The hotel is perfectly located in San Telmo; we were able to walk, use the metro and easily catch a cab to fully explore all the area had to offer. The staff were exceptional; Gustovo, Alex and Max were super! Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! We were so impressed that we returned to the Kenton for our last night before leaving Argentina. If you stay there and you are heading the airport when you leave, strongly recommend you have hotel arrange for a car to take you to EZE. Flat rate/no meter.

Hotel to avoid. I definitely recommend NOT tos tay there. The rooms look good, but the bed is very uncomfortable (e.g. a so called \"king size\" bed is two twin beds put together, leaving a painful gap between mattresses), the mini bar is locked and empty, the room service has a very limited selection of possible fills for it, as well as a non-choice for for in-room food, staff are unfriendly and unhelpful. The elevators anomaly work with your key card n the way up and down - heaven forbid you're the 10th floor and forgot you keycard in the room! The rooms do not lock from the inside. The shower only has a half glass, making it impossible not to turn the bathroom into a flooded area. The neighbourhood at night is unsafe, and options for dinner within walking distance are extremely scarce. Internet access (cable and wi-fi) made me regret the days of 56k dial-up. It was so bad, I actually booked out on the 3rd day to move to another hotel (Dazzler Palermo), forfeiting the pre-paid booking. Do not stay there.

The hotel is close to the main areas of interest and is clean. The definite plus is the guy on reception who speaks excellent English and is extremely helpful and knowledgable about trips, airport runs etc. However be aware that the bathrooms are 'open plan' and all rooms are the same so if you are not comfortable with bathing / washing with your room sharer choose another hotel. The breakfasts are very basic - just enough to call it a breakfast - with tinned peaches and pineapple, hard bread, cakes, croissants and scrambled eggs with burnt bits in. The rooms are big - we had 2 single beds- but we could hear everything going on in the next room!

Given 9th flr rm, noise fr roof air-con. Changed to 7th flr, window lock broken, fixed lock but not seal, hi road noise. Promised on 3rd day for a rm, return fr work it’s gone. On 5th day, tech still can’t fix seal, front desk suddenly found 8th flr room when \"fully booked\"! No coffee maker in room, no tooth brush, comb or cotton buds. No stopper for bathtub, get fr front desk. Stench fr shower drain. Kingbed joined fr two single beds, hard ridge in between. Thin bedsheet but there is blanket in the wardrobe. No tissue paper only toilet roll. Iron is basic w/o steam no spray provided, hv to sprinkle water fr cup. Wifi fine for browsing very slow up/download. Poor sound insulation, noise fr corridor. Door does’t close automatically. Got ice fr kitchen 1st time swift, staff got ft kitchen beside the counter. 2nd time another staff seemed busy and not interested, told to come back in 30 mins as he's to run 3 flrs downstairs to get the ice! High fee for miserable gym, small pool, dark. Dried bird dropping stayed on the breakfast cutlery tbl for two days before finally cleaned. Simple breakfast. Only hot choice is scrambled egg. Wonderful Experience

WE only stayed at the Kenton 1 night as our other hotel was booked. The staff went above and beyond in that night to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Including rushing a room service order so we could eat before there was no more service. ( we arrived at 11:30 at night). WE stayed in the pictured \"red blanket\" room and it was other all very beautiful comfy and clean. I loved the shower with a good rainhead and cedar planks. There is also a plug convertor in the bathroom as well which is really a bonus. Overall it was a wonderful night.

Great Hotel and Outstanding Service

My wife and I stayed five nights at the Kenton Palace while on vacation in August and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is great for the price, the amenities are pretty good but what stands out is the absolutely wonderful service. The people working at the front desk were so kind and helpful in recommending things, calling places for us, making dinner reservations and in general going out of their way to provide a pleasant experience. I especially want to mention Leo, who spent so much time with us to make sure our stay in BA was wonderful. Thanks guys. If we return to BA, we will definitely stay again at the Kenton Palace. Nice place

Was there for a week in winter and it was cold throughout the hotel. For being a 4 star hotel, one would not have to be cold in their room or the dining area. I actually slept in a sweater and used their extra blanket from the closet and still was cold. Also, the beds are not very comfortable. Other than that, everything was great and the staff was very helpful.

Excellent location for your stay

Great staff, very friendly. They will make reservation from taxi to restaurant (even telling the restaurant vegetarian restriction) if your Spanish is poor. Three blocks away from Plaza de Mayo. And a few blocks away from Plaza Derrego, so you can walk for sightseeing or tango watching. The cobble stone neighborhood San Telmo has its charm. Watch out cars at the intersection. There is no stop sign there. Despite the graffiti (which is everywhere), it has many pedestrians even at night. Don't miss La Brigada (5 blocks) if you like steak. The hotel has spa ans sauna, with extra charge. The breakfast is rather blend. But you could walk across the street to have big breakfast if you want.

Nice Hotel near Plaza de Mayo

This seems to be a newer hotel a few blocks south of Plaza de Mayo. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all things. They upgrades our room without cost. The common areas and rooms were very clean, well maintained and safe. The room was large and comfortable with the exception of the thermostat. It may have been me but I could not figure out how to regulated the heat to keep it at a specific temperature. Hotel is on a cobble stone street so there is some noise I'd recommend a hight floor. On Sundays the San Telmo market extends up Av. Defensa right past the front door - we like this but some may not. The only down side is there are very few restaurants near the hotel especially if you want dinner before 9:00PM (the normal start of dinner hours in BA.) The hotel is obviously in the central city area not near the upscale Retiro, Palermo or Puerto Madero area but the Sube is near by and taxies are inexpensive. The price is very good for what you get.

The best hotel in San Telmo.

Stop the search now -- this is the place you want to be if you're planning a trip to Buenos Aires. We were continuously amazed by the level of service and cleanliness here. The rooms were beautiful and made us feel like we were living in luxury! The staff was very helpful and accommodating -- English was not as much of a problem as we experienced in other hotels. All together, Kenton Palace is one of the main reasons why we did not want to return home! They spoiled us.

Just built hotel. Everything is quite brand new.

I have spent most of the time out of the hotel. The only difficulty is the Wi-Fi speed which is extremely low. The bar is not able to add expenses to the room; guests should pay directly to the bar. Cappuccino is not available; only coffee, milk and espresso.
