Just enjoyed an overnight getaway to Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico. Las Rocas Resort was very hospitable and provided clean rooms and well manicured grounds. Great perks like complimentary daily \"2 Egg Breakfast\", nightly margarita, secured parking. Enjoyed the karaoke on Friday night! Puerto Nuevo is only a short 10 min. drive!!

Blanket was too thin, worn out, and the things we did not like at all is that you need to leave a deposit of $100.00 for the room, and if you want use for the pool or jacuzzi, you also leave a $25.00. If you don't return them, they keep the deposit fir the towels.

We loved staying at Las Rocas, it was so beautiful and we felt very welcomed by the staff. We will definitely be coming back for a weekend getaway. The only thing we missed was that the access to the beach is closed. The stairs that go down need to be repaired so that it can be safe. The sunsets were gorgeous, the food delicious, staff was nice and the music at the restaurant and the bar were amazing! We really loved it!

They need better customer service, not surprised by the rooms at all, Beautiful infinity pool in the back area of the hotel that we unfortunately were not able to enjoy as we visited in Dec and was it cold and no staff members were around to open the back pool bar . Many things they don’t mention when you book .

The personal at the check in window were rude and unfriendly. There was also a $100 last minute deposit that was not advertised. When I asked why, I was told a racing crew broke 24 tv’s the week before. The guy that escorts people to their rooms also has an angry and rude attitude. All other aspects of this resort are excellent, even the other staff and servers. Front window check in personal are horrible.

The pool has lots of bird droppings in it. Rock in the pool as well. Chairs are broken or ripped up. Tv is broken, our supreme room has the bar in front. We were suppose to get ocean view room. 2 towels for four people. The bathroom made a lot of noise. You can’t get down on beach only rocks. Lots of broken stuff in the room. Food is good, people are nice. 2 jacuzzi’s 1 is broken. Pool is suppose to be heated both are cold. Too high price for what you get.

Standard room does not have air-conditioning, heating, mini refrigerator, or local ice availability, and no hairdyer, limited towels. Broken closet door knob. The roof was leaking. Nothing was being done about it.
The \"Welcome\" margaritas are premixed. We ordered 2 margaritas & when we handed them the coupon we were told that \"we ordered the wrong margaritas\" that we should have told them we had a coupon so they would give us the premixed kind & not the natural kind. That's ridiculous! They were being cheap! Limited dining. Nachos were made with fake cheese. We thought they would be made with fresh cheese. The jacuzzi next to the infinity pool was not functioning. Apparently, it's been broken for a long time.

I love Las Rocas. It is our 2nd trip to the hotel and will come back again! Room is always clean, the roof for breakfast and dinner are always good. The chips and guacamole are delicious too. The one thing we had trouble with was the internet in our room. While on the patio it was perfect but sitting in bed was spotty. The tv’s are not smart tv’s so take your computer if you want to watch Netflix or something else. But I highly recommend Las Rocas.

Las Rocas would have been a truly great place to stay in the past. It still has the bones to prove it, but unfortunately, the lack of regular maintenance has transformed what was once a beautiful resort into just a “nice” place to stay. It definitely needs a list of repairs and updates to bring it back to its glory days.
On the positive side, the food is good, and I truly enjoyed the spa experience—my pedicure and massage were excellent. The service in that area was professional and relaxing.
However, there are several issues that left a negative impression:
•The towels are worn and coming apart from lack of upkeep.
•A fetid smell from untreated sewer water in the mornings.
•The pool table had a muddied 9-ball, making it unpleasant to use.
•Missing tiles on the steps and peeling paint in several places.
•The bed was noisy, which affected rest.
This combination of details, big and small, takes away from what could otherwise be a wonderful stay. Las Rocas remains a beautiful property with amazing potential, but it urgently needs investment and care to restore it.
In short, it’s a hotel that leaves you torn: you may want to come back twice—once to enjoy what it still offers, and another time hoping it has been brought back to the standard it deserves.

It is a good example of Canarian architecture.
During the complete restoration in 1996, the originality and charm of the house were completely preserved. In this year the tourist rental of the first holiday apartments began.
The mostly young international guests like to use the Apartamentos Monasterio de San Antonio as an ideal starting point for mountain bike or hiking tours as well as for excursions to the diverse regions of the island. The house is located on the green outskirts of Icod de los Vinos at about 325 meters above sea level.
The famous dragon tree and the historic city center are only around 800 meters away. It is a quiet location with beautiful mountain and Atlantic views.
There are also restaurants, shops and supermarkets nearby. One of the largest volcanic caves (La Cueva del Viento) is also very close and the nearest beach (Playa de San Marcos) with bars and restaurants is just 3.
