Beautiful aparthotel. Very quiet, excellent service with Cathy. Room cleaned and fresh towels almost daily. Cathy was very helpful in advising us where to go, about the area etc. No pool at the property. But sea and natural pools on the doorstep

We selected a second floor luxury apartment looking out to the village square. Nevertheless, it was quaint and quiet. A one minute walk to the first beach bar, to the first grocery store and plenty of parking space most of the time. Just beautiful.

This was amazing! The location was great, close to several amenities, excellent restaurants and bars, convenient store and a walking distance to a super market (HiperDino). Right by the beach, and beautiful walking trails! The highlight of the this place was the staff, Kathy and her team, were beyond amazing! Those ladies sure make a great stay feel phenomenal and incredible! We will be back next year and if they have availability during our dates we will be staying with them for sure!! Thank you Kathy and team! Your phenomenal service, communication and relationship building along with professionalism and authentic approach made the difference! Our stay at Rok Plaza was absolutely lovely.The hotel itself is charming and perfectly located right by the sea.Kathy was wonderful…her warm welcome and hospitality made us feel right at home.She gave us excellent recommendations for dining and even helped us arrange a car rental,unfortunately there were none available at the time.remember to book a car in advance because they go quickly. Tenerife South is a beautiful destination, would recommend it.

Perfect stay

A lovely spot to relax, recharge and explore from. Rok Plaza is situated overlooking Alcala Square on the one side and from the shared roof top terrace has a prefect sea and sunset view. We had a spacious 2 bedroom apartment on the first floor which was serviced daily so always spotless, comfortable huge bed.

Stunning apartment- awkward check in

This is quite a difficult review to leave as we have mixed feelings. The positives first - the apartment really is of a very high standard, very large & beautifully decorated overlooking a square with a small balcony which was nice to relax on of an evening & see the goings on.
The pictures on the hotels.com website are very misleading, there is no bar or restaurant accessible from the hotel. The main image on the website is actually of a restaurant nearby & the images of the snug areas we never found.
You have to access the apartments from the back of the hotel, we didn’t struggle with parking but we walked past the apartments several times as they are lacking signage.
On the brief it says they have multilingual staff but essentially you are met by the cleaner, there is no reception & she doesn’t speak English very well (we understand that we’re in a Spanish country so should be able to speak in Spanish) but to say the staff are multilingual is not true.
The TV didn’t work, no sound system & couldn’t use the bath as there wasn’t a plug.
Overall.. absolutely stunning apartment & despite all my negative criticism I would stay there again, I just think they need to make a few minor changes.

Initially hard to find for the taxi driver-it’s not the building on the photo- however the front of the building from the plaza is stunning. It’s so close to the dramatic rocky cove and there’s a fabulous range of places to eat- all close by. Lovely walk on the promenade and easy bus links just a short walk up the hill.

The location is amazing - balcony looks onto the village square and the roof terrace looks over beautiful harbour. The quality of the apartment was fantastic. It is a group of apartments in a building with the only shared amenity the roof terrace. Not a problem but it does mean there isn't a Rok Plaza sign outside so it was hard to find. Highly recommended.

Great view, great neighborhood, wonderful place!

We stayed at the villa, a detached property on two floors with a roof terrace directly facing the sea. The view is stunning! The house is very spacious and can comfortably accommodate 4 people having two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is very large and fully equipped, and the cozy living room has cable tv and wifi. The house has independent air conditioning in the two floors. The property is kept very clean and the hotel's personel is friendly and helpful. Parking is easily available free of charge in nearby streets.

Alcala (Guía de Isora) is a great place for a holiday. It has easy access to most touristic locations in the island but it is still a calm and charming village. The neighborhood has numerous restaurants that we suggest you visit. We fully recommend and we would totally go back.

A unique oasis of relaxation

The property is very unique and wonderfully surprising - many nice touches and clearly well kept with attention to detail. Full kitchen was very convenient, bedroom was comfy. Steps to a beautiful beach, many nice restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, banks in easy distance - with taxi stand and bus stop close by. Management was very helpful and welcoming - recommended several local activities, restaurants, etc. Check in and Check out was very easy. Would highly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat - easily exceeds any of the \"tourist traps\"

Apt. left unlocked. I alerted owner; he blamed me

Wow. I got back to this apartment complex one day and the main door was ajar. Instead of giving this place a negative review I thought \"inform the management so they can try to fix it if there is an issue with the door or maybe they can put a sign reminding people to make sure the main door was closed.\"

The response I received was an interrogation about when I left/returned from the apartment and (this is a direct quote from the email) \"but it could be that you did not lock the door\"...,

Wow. Like this is a nice apartment but not only did I feel really unsafe when I found the door open but I really don't like that the owner did not apologize, take any responsibility, or try to rectify the situation besides schooling me on proper locking techniques (which no one had showed me when I arrived at the place).

Beskrivningen av lägenheten var ej bra på Hotel.com. Ganska branta trappor. Det var dåligt ljudisolering hörde tydligt ljud från gatan.Det var 3 våningar bottenvåningen med badrum. Mellan våning med 2 sovrum 1vardagsrum 1 matplats samt kök. Takterrass mycket bra.

Rok Plaza is misleading in their marketing and communication. They have no attending staff, so you DO have to call in advance. Otherwise you have to wait for the staff on your arrival. Besides, many of the photos presented are not from the hotel, but from other hotels and restaurants in the neighbourhood. The rooms are fairly dark and the electronic door locks are a bit tedious.

On the plus side, the service is very accommodating when they present, and the location is next to a nice little square with real restaurants. Not too touristy.

Große geschmackvoll ausgestattete Wohnung mit kompletter Ausstattung. Große Terrasse mit Blick auf das Zentrum von Alcala, Dachterrasse (gemeinsam für alle Wohnungen) mit Meerblick.Tolle Lage im Zentrum von Alcala und fast direkt am Wasser, kurze Wege zu Restaurants, Stränden und Einkaufsmöglichleiten, nicht von Touristen überlaufen. Sehr guter Service. Schnelle Erreichbarkeit der Sehenswürdigkeiten Nationalpark Teide, Masca, Los Gigantes, Barranco del Infierno.

Der Eigentümer legt großen Wert auf Komfort und Ambiente. Die Einrichtung hat einen ganz besonderen Charakter und Charm. Wir hatten für zwei Wochen eine der Penthousewohnungen. Der Preis für den Upgrade war ok und wir wurden mit einer wunderbaren Aussicht auf Meer und Marktplatz belohnt. Die tägliche Reinigung wurde von einem sehr freundlichen und fleißigen Team vorgenommen. In der unmittelbaren Umgebung finden sich nicht nur genügend Parkplätze sondern auch viele gute Restaurants und Bars. Besonders zu empfehlen ist Lupolo!!!
Der Ort ist noch nicht von Touristen überlaufen und es macht viel Spaß das lebensfrohe Treiben der Einheimischen zu beobachten. Wir werden gerne wieder nach Alcala und in eine der Ferienwohnungen des Besitzers R. K. kommen. Weiter so!

Stilvolles sauberes Apartment mit Liebe zum Detail sowie sehr ruhige Lage im alten Ortskern.
Täglicher Zimmerservice und freundlicher Empfang.
Wir hatten das Penthaus mit großer Terrasse mit Blick auf den Teide und La Gomera. Über die neue Promenade erreicht man zu Fuß drei schöne Sandstrände.

Perfektes Hotel für gemütlichen Urlaub

Wir waren zu zweit für eine Woche im Rok Plaza in Alcala und sind rundum zufrieden.

Da das Rok Plaza über keine Rezeption verfügt, muss bei Ankunft die Kontaktperson angerufen oder per WhatsApp kontaktiert werden, die Nummer hängt zur Erinnerung auch noch mal am Eingang. Das hat reibungslos funktioniert, sofort war jemand da und hat uns freundlich empfangen.

Unsere Wohnung war sehr groß, sauber und toll ausgestattet (u.a. zwei Bäder, Haushaltsgeräte, separates Schlafzimmer).

Die beiden Hausdamen, die sich um uns und die Wohnung kümmerten, waren immer sehr freundlich und gründlich bei der Reinigung, sogar das benutzte Geschirr wurde abgewaschen. Man erkundigte sich danach, ob alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit sei und ob wir mit den Geräten (Waschmaschine etc.) zurecht kamen. Wir fühlten uns in ihrer Obhut sehr wohl. Nur die Kommunikation war hier und da manchmal etwas holprig, da die Damen eingeschränkt Englisch sprechen, aber mit Händen und Füßen und gegenseitiger Bemühungen konnten wir uns immer verständigen.

Die Lage des Rok Plaza ist perfekt, wenn man einen eher ruhigen Urlaub fernab der Touristenhochburgen sucht. Der Strand bzw. die Schwimmgelegenheit im alten Hafenbecken liegt quasi direkt vor der Tür und das Rok Plaza ist umgeben von guten Lokalen. Auch ein kleiner Supermarkt befindet sich direkt am Platz. Montags ist Markt auf dem Platz.

Es bestehen gute Busverbindungen in die Umgebung, aber für Ausflüge empfiehlt sich ein Mietwagen.

Alles in allem ein super Hotel!

Kleines Schloss an ruhiger Lage

Das Rok Plaza liegt an einer Bucht im wunderschönen Alcalà. Der Ort ist touristisch nicht überlaufen, bietet aber eine schöne, gepflegte Strandpromenade mit diversen Möglichkeiten zum Baden, sowie tolle Restaurants. Die Apartements im Rok Plaza sind stilvoll, gross, praktisch eingerichtet und bestens ausgestattet. Das Personal ist freundlich, der Service gut. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Einzig das Wlan liess zeitweise zu wünschen übrig.

Une belle surprise!

Pour le rapport qualité-prix, la location du penthouse, même sans vue directe sur l'océan (vue sur la place du village), vaut largement le détour. Une terrasse tranquille sur le toit comble les attentes. L'accueil du propriétaire est chaleureux, il prend le temps de vous expliquer ce qu'il y a à faire dans les environs, il connaît bien la région. La location d'une voiture s'impose si vous souhaitez visiter depuis Alcala, sans quoi vous vous ruinerez en taxi....

Prachtige decoratie. Alles kraaknet. Boven een zonneterras met ligzetels en zicht op zee.prachtig. vlakbij een pleintje met supermarkt Vor brood r fruit enop maandag markt.vele restaurants op plein, een erg voordelig. Schoonmaak is prima.deposito zonder problemen teruggekregen.

Leider verfügt die Anlage über keine Rezeption. Die Verständigung ist zudem schwierig, da das Personal (wir hatten hier mit 2 Damen beim Ein- bzw. Auschecken zu tun) kein bzw. nur bruchstückhaft Englisch verstehen.

Loistava asunto keskellä tavallista pikkukaupunkia

Huoneisto sijaitsi torin laidalla keskellä pikkukylää/-kaupunkia. Loistava paikka seurata kaupungin verkkaista elämänmenoa ja silti rauhallinen. Huoneisto oli supersiisti ja tyylikkään itämaisesti sisustettu (kuten koko kerrostalo käytävässä olevine buddhineen).

Huoneiston sai 20 €/vrk lisämaksusta vaihtaa sellaiseen, joka sisälsi ison terassin normaalin parvekkeen sijasta - kannatti maksaa!

Huoneisto siivottiin kahden viikon oleskelumme aikana joka päivä - myös viikonloppuisin.

Ainoa \"negatiivinen\" asia huoneistossa oli keittiön suppea astiasto. Huoneisto oli tarkoitettu kahdelle hengelle ja astiastona oli 2 kuppia, 2 lasia, 2 lautasta jne.

Alcala en Rok Plaza: voor een relaxte vakantie!

De bovenste 2 appartementen hebben een groot balkon met s'morgens zon, lekkere ligstoelen en uitzicht op het centrale pleintje van Alcala (maandag = marktdag). Voor de middag en avondzon is er een dakterras, ook met fijne ligstoelen.
Het appartement is zeer comfortabel, alleen vond mijn rug het matras te zacht.

Nice hotel, but problems

Nice apartment in a cozy village. However we had to pay extra for late check-in - 20 euros for first hour and then 15 euro per hour after 9 PM. It said nothing about this extra payment, when we booked. We were offered a \"penthouse\" for 20 euros extra and accepted by email. When we arrived we saw that it was not really a penthouse, since there was one extra floor over the apartment.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette habitation. L'accueil a été très chaleureux. Le lieu est décoré avec goût et avec une grande attention. L'emplacement est idéal pour flâner le long du littoral, s'arrêter sur la charmante place principale qui est au pied du logement, découvrir la vie locale.

dejligt sted - kommer gerne tilbage

Vi var 2 dage på Rok Plaza i den dejlige by Alcalá.
'Værelset' var stort - separat soveværelse og 2 (!) badeværelser.
En dejlig altan, som var lidt lille; men der var en tagterrasse, som vi også benyttede.
Alcalá er en dejlig by med sit eget liv -uden for mange turister.

Schöne Wohnung - nicht komplett für 4 Sterne -

Wir wurden freundlich von Angela empfangen. Leider wurden wir enttäuscht das der Fernseher nur in der Landesprache war. Geschirr knapp bemessen-4 Set -
abgeschlagene Tasse - Gläser zusammengewürfeltes Muster. Kaffeemaschine nur für 2 Tassen. Keine Salatteller, Eierbecher, Saftpresse,
Betten/ Bettwäsche waren super bequem. In beiden Badezimmern fehlte am Waschbecken/Spiegel das Licht, nur lose Kabel.Genauso im Küchenblock fehlte das Licht. So mußte ich auf den Balkon gehen um bei Tageslicht mich schminken. Durch das Fest - Festas de Candelaria - wurde unsere Nachtruhe empfindlich gestört, die Musik dröhnte bis 4 - 5 Uhr in der Frühe.
