Only stayed one night and it was very good value but very dated .Fridge all rusty and that bad the maintenance man brought us a brand new one!
Kitchen very small , extractor fan and extractor light not working. Very basic . No wifi in room, small tv although could get some english. Sunbathing on roof very nice , wonderful views

The room was excellent, I’ve stayed at the Barcelo which is a 4 star hotel and the room was much nicer in decor and cleanliness at Vagilia park. The hotel was fully booked so the receptionist couldn’t give me a room with a better view but it was ok.

Other areas of the hotel do need improving such as swimming area and the jacuzzi needs to be heated this time of year (Feb). The location of the hotel could be better but the locals and food places are awesome. Check out the Italian around the corner from the hotel (Fettuccini I think). The staff are very nice too. Definitely would stay again!

The apartment was clean and spacious. The furniture was good. Mattress very comfortable. Kitchen well-equipped but no oven. Good facilities for children. Breakfast okay. My only complaint is that the lifeguard refused to let my child use a large rubber ring in the swimming pool, claiming that it was an air mattress. This made me very angry.

Would not recommend this hotel

The Room itself was ok although it was very hot. I went to reception to ask if we could change rooms but they said the hotel was full. When I booked which was over 6 months ago I asked for a high room with a room. We certainly didn’t get either of those 2 things. It smelled terrible when we arrived so we went out and bought a scented candle There were several restaurants down below that were noisy and smelly. On our 1st night we hardly slept for the noise from down below from the shopping area and the corridor.
The balcony was tiny and very very noisy - I would describe it as being in a goldfish bowl 😩 Overal it spoilt the last few days of my holiday!

Very spacious accommodation in the two bed apartment. Clean and comfortable, with everything you need for basic self catering. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, the bar staff particularly seem to enjoy interacting with the guests.
If you are hiring a car, be warned that there is no parking at the apartments and it is quite difficult to get a space on the road. Lidl is a great bonus, two minutes away and sells everything you need and more!
All in all, a lovely winter sunshine break and we would return.

Nice place to stay friendly only downfall bought an inflatable toy from shop in the mall next to hotel to use in the pool but life guard wouldn't let us use it even though the pool was empty quite a few people commented on it being silly not able to use could understand if pool busy

Lovely apartment but not so much the complex

A beautiful big corner apartment with a partial sea view, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a lovely balcony. Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Not a bad location, a short walk from a big supermarket and the centre, opposite the post office and with bus stops right outside.

But the complex itself felt rather claustrophobic, with the entrance hidden inside a mini-mall, and no view of the outside world when you’re in the pool/restaurant area. Breakfast was pretty poor too. Be aware that it’s pretty noisy around there, including at night- didn’t bother me though.

A very pleasing place to stay

The hotel may not be the smartest, but its other qualities more than compensate for an unimaginative decor. It is very conveniently located for all amenities: family -owned restaurants serving both local and international food; a supermarket on the doorstep and a well appointed kitchen in the room; lovely pools; very good amenities for small children; an original choice of evening entertainments. The rooms and corridors are kept immaculately clean, and all the staff are unfailingly cheerful and helpful. A happy staff provides a relaxed atmosphere.

A lovely resort-type apathotel. Our apartment was satisfactory but in need of refurbishment (a refurb programme is actually underway). Two swimming-pool areas, one on ground floor adjacent to the restaurant, the other on the roof with a magnificent sun terrace with a spectacular view over Los Gigantes. Restaurant offered good cuisine at reasonable cost. Be aware that the locality is very hilly.

We were given an apartment with a dangerous balcony with no railing on with two young children which we had to be moved out of after the first night. The next apartment was really grim, there was no good view whatsoever, out onto a grotty side street that cars sped down even through the night waking you up and even though the hotel rooms are being refurbished, this can't be altered. The roof top pool is quite nice with good views of the cliffs. The hot tub was not working when we tried. The downstairs pool is meant to be heated but I think they may need to turn it up or even on as it was still really cold even after the sun had been on it all day. The one thing I can't fault is the maid service, the rooms were cleaned everyday but Sunday and very well done, not that we were in there for very long as the rooms were so sad. The actual apartment was depressing, the remote control for the tv required a 10 euro deposit but when we enquired with reception about which channels they had they said only one English. There was no natural light in the bathroom, the kitchen was grotty. There were no teaspoons so our young girls were eating their yoghurts with big dessert spoons. Everything just felt really old and worn out, I suppose the reason for the much needed refurb, I would not recommend staying here until all the rooms are new and you can be guaranteed one but I would not return here regardless of this.

Hotel staff were amazing and very friendly, and of coarse the weather was fantastic, averaging 25 / 27 every day, Brilliant holiday.

Be careful if you are driving to the address.

The expedia address for this hotel is Santiago del Teide. If you follow the road signs to Santiago del Teide on the motorway you will end up in a town in the mountains. The hotel is actually in the town of Puerto Santiago. From the motorway take the exit to Puerto Santiago/Los Gigantes.
The entrance to the hotel is actually on the main road, about 100 yards downhill from Lidl. Parking is very limited, but we always found a space within 5-10 minutes walk.
We paid extra for the sea view, and asked for a high floor. The room was excellent for the price and well equipped, including a kettle and mini oven. It was spacious, ours had two bathrooms, and the view was great, although the balcony wall is quite high so you had to stand on the balcony to get the best view.
The roof terrace with small pools was spectacular. I would definitely book again if I was staying in this area.

Brilliant spacious budget hotel

Room was huge (slept 8). It was cleaned daily and was spotless. Brilliant location and the rooftop pool and bar was great for adults and for kid's. Staff were friendly and helpfull.

This is great for a budget holiday. Rooms very tired and basic , but clean and a good base.

Only criticism was that the beds were hard and needed replacing.

This is the third time we have stayed at the apartments. It is in a good location and our room had a partial sea view. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was cleaned regularly. We were self catering so did not use all of the facilities at the Vigilia Park

We keep coming back, it's in a great position, and assuming you pay the little extra for sea view rooms the view is perhaps one of the best in Tenerife from the balcony.

One big plus for 2014 is the newly opened Lidl just two minutes from the hotel, essential for self catering. Also the takeaway chicken shop, Pollo Oro, next to reception is great value at six euro fifty for a fully roasted chicken, over the fortnight we stayed, we bought a few off the nice German lady who runs it.

The staff here were very efficient and friendly. Internet was a bit expensive at E5, but the connection did work in the room, which in other hotels we were not so fortunate with.

On the roof/fourth floor there is a bar which offers light snacks. A great place to relax and enjoy a drink while gazing over the great views of the sea and mountains.

Lovely hotel and well maintained.
The roof top pool area is really nice and a sun trap (if it's out!). Bar snacks are reasonably priced (Cheese and ham toastie with fries is less than 4 euros).
Happy hour at the roof top bar was too early at 11:30 - 12:30, although good for the chocolate milkshakes. At the downstairs bar it is 17:00 - !8:00 and gets busy, 2 drinks for the price of one.
The bar could be put to a bit better use in the evening, it was a shame that it closed at 23:00 and didn't have much atmosphere apart from at 20:00 with the kids entertainment/ singer.
Would defo reccomend the Vigilia, though be prepared for the walking, it's mountainous region - so lots of exercise.

Rooms and overall facilities were a little tired and in need of refurbishment, though that was reflected in the price. Location at the top of a steep hill and a bit \"out on a limb\" from main areas, though some fairly nice restaurants nearby if you don't mind being in backstreets - a lot of walking up and down especially for older, less able or people with kids. Friendly staff and nice rooftop pool/bar area. A good base for a quick cheap break away though.

Our week at Vigilia Park

Twin beds in bedroom meant we spent the whole week sleeping on the rickety sofa bed in the lounge, not the most comfortable experience ever and annoying as we booked a double room on the Expedia website, unfortunately, Vigilia Park only offer double beds in their two bedroom apartments, something not advertised or advised at the booking stage. Lack of air conditioning was also an issue, the (also rickety) fan really didn't cut it. Vigilia park advertise 80% of their rooms as having a sea view, ours didn't and It's difficult to see where they get their figures from, as you'd need a periscope in most of the rooms to catch a glimpse of the sea. Overall Vigilia Park was absolutely adequate and given the cost, to be honest I can't complain too strongly. Cooking facilities were adequate, staff v friendly. Worst offence? The excruciatingly loud and very bad 70's and 80's style \"entertainment\". OK for the money, could be actively good with a few tweeks and improvements.

Vigilia Park Hotel, Peurto Saniago

Vigilia Park is very good value for a hotel that needs a bit of money spent on it and you go Room only. The main features are that it's in a good location, good swimming pools and sunbathing areas, excellent staff, I spent a week there on my own and just bought food from the supermarket below the hotel. Certainly not a location for those looking for night life and |I don't think I'd recommend it for a family with young children as it's not that close to the beach, certainly good for older couples looking for sunshine at a reasonable price.

I really enjoyed our stay. I was overall very satified with the staff,room, and neighborhood. The scenery was amazing! The staff team were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again. ... However ( I have to be honest) the apartments need updating. They need fresh paint (I know that seems minor but it makes a huge difference.) And our shower head was aweful! It sprayed everywhere except on me. :) the couch was very worn and this was t unfortunate but when we arrived there was a puddle off water in front of the fridge with towels in it where they were defrosting the freezer. Again all of these things are trivial but I wanted to give an honest review so people would know exactly what they're getting. With that being said those things didn't bother me to the point of complaining because everything else far exceeded my expectations. I hope this review helps

Not best Quality but still very nice

Having read many reviews before we left, we were already expecting the rooms to be basic and dated, and this really wasn't much of a problem. We only prepared basic meals in the kitchen area so the equipment supplied although old was perfectly adequate. My only concern was the bathrooms, for some they are probably fine but I think these could really benefit was being updated, but you do get what you pay for. The staff were very friendly, rooms were cleaned daily and the little shopping area with cafes below was really lovely. We stayed for 2 weeks which with 2 teenage boys was too long, as we were all getting a little bored, theres only so many trips you can take to Los Gigantes & Playa de Arena. If money is no object then there are may trips to fill the days but if you are booking this hotel money is probably tight and I think 10 days maximum is plenty. Overall for the money the area and the rooms are fine as long as you don't expect 5 star quality for 2 star price you won't be disapponted.

Flexible, apartment-hotel was the right choice

Our room had surely one of the best views in Tenerife. It overlooked the island of La Gomera, looked down at boats passing Puerto de Santiago and faced the magnificent cliffs of Los Gigantes. Stunning. Alongside our apartment we enjoyed a pretty and immaculately kept rooftop swimming pool. The flexibility this apartment-hotel meant we could cook and eat in when we chose to. Staying at Hotel Vigilia Park more than met our expectations.

The hotel facilities are excellent - they have a lovely pool area on the roof and a heated pool on the ground floor. Our apartment was great and very well equipped. We had a lovely view to Los Gigantes and I must recommend to book a room with a view. Yes, there is a lot of noise, so you must be able to disregard that. But there is silence at 23.00 and you can sleep without disruptions. The childrens playground was on top of our apartment but luckily we are early birds - otherwise the noise would have woken us up. Really nice breakfast arrangement (a bit cold, though) if you don't care to make your own. There is a supermarket right next to the hotel and they have bake off and everything for both breakfast and lunch.

While staying in one of the adequately equipped apartments with truly breath-taking views of La Gomera, the Los Gigantes cliffs and the cosy town of Puerto de Santiago, we enjoyed great service at the reception desk on numerous occasions, including both answers to \"tourist information questions\" and an immediate response to a request for a larger table for our balcony, which was delivered promptly. Highly recommended, this place offers great value for little money!

Fine bassenger, fin utsikt, greit hotell. Noe støy fra gata på rommet vårt, men sånn er det jo bare. Veldig mye hotell for prisen, og ble helt ærlig svært positivt overrasket over hva som møtte oss. Flotte bassengområder og solplasser.

Buenas vistas del mar y Los Gigantes

El apartamento y su mobiliario son bastante nuevos. Lo hemos encontrado todo limpio y correcto. Las vistas al mar, a pesar de ser parciales, son bastante buenas como se aprecia en la foto (eso sí, esta tomada subidos a esa especie de escalón de la terraza y que se aprecia en la foto del dormitorio). Lo único que hemos echado de menos seria que el lavabo tuviera bidet. Las camas eran bastante cómodas y hemos dormido muy bien. El complejo dispone de sauna finlandesa ubicada dentro del gimnasio y ambas cosas son de uso gratuito. Fuimos un día a la sauna y nos dejaron la llave del gimnasio y dos fichas para la sauna (cada ficha hace funcionar la sauna durante 30'). Hay que decir también que el personal de recepción fue super amable. Hay un supermercado Lidl a dos calles que abre de lunes a domingo hasta las 22h.

Las piscinas están cerradas , una de ellas porque se le sale el agua y la otra porque no tienen socorrista. Pero no lo dicen que no tienen piscina en internet .. la wifi , es paga . Habitaciones sucias , calidad - precio deja mucho que desear y la tv ,es más grande la pantalla de un portátil , que la tv que tiene la habitación. No lo recomiendo . 13/02/2021 fecha de entrada . Bar de piscina cerrado , piscinas cerradas , asensor roto según llegamos nos quedamos trabados , en fin .

A la llegada la atención de la recepcionista fue genial,nos incomodo saber que las dos piscinas estan cerradas y no pudimos hacer uso de las instalaciones(por la informacion en la pagina aparecia piscina al aire libre,pero no pensamos que fueran las dos)el apartamento muy amplio y limpio.Como connotación negativa es el excesivo ruido desde las 7.30-8.00 proveniente de negocios cercanos y carros.Aún asi repetiriamos.
