My stay was smooth and pleasant. The staff in general was very friendly and efficient. Gustavo at the front desk was super kind and helpful.

In my last trips to São Paulo I use to stay at Clarion. I noticed a downgrade in the quality of the hotel: towels, maintenance, cosmetics. Next time I’ll try another hotel in the same area.

This is really a 3, borderline 3,5 stars. Basic at best. Check in needs more care and training, staff needs to acknowledge guest better and make them feel welcoming. Breakfast is too simple for what it pretends to be, while staff surround you while you pick your food, make you feel like you’re being watched. Bedroom seriously needs to be revamped and updated. Pleasant stay but I doubt I would book and stay again

Lovely hotel in an excellent neighborhood

The room was very spacious, and the bed is comfortable with quality linens. The terraces offer a nice view. Friendly and helpful staff. The surrounding neighborhood is excellent, full of upscale restaurants and bars, but not too noisy or crowded. The only issue was some broken fixtures in the room, but the staff was quick to notice and repair. I would return and recommend.

Its my second time staying at the hotel. It is a great location for business and there are great restaurants within walking distance. Friendly staff and the breakfast is very good. Always taxis outside and the prices are pretty cheap. Will definitely stay there next time and its good value for money........

Great hotel in the Itaim Bibi area

My wife and I stayed 4 nights. Main purpose was convention in town but had to balance that with some couple time. Staff was friendly and spoke enough English to be very helpful. Room was smaller than US standard but clean. Only wish there had been some drawers to unpack a little. Neighborhood felt safe and was convenient to a lot of places we wanted to go. Breakfast was excellent.

Great location but...

The location of this hotel is great. The breakfast is very good. Most of their staff is very friendly and welcoming. However, they have significant issues; some of which are solvable and some aren't:

1. Bathrooms. Too small and constrained. Plumbing and drainage appears to be a prevalent problem.
2. Rooms. Decent for the price.
3. Furnishings: Sub standard. Bed linens substandard as well.
4. Comfort. Biggest problem is the mattress protector they use (they don't use a typical mattress pad). Their protector is a mattress case made out of rough canvas with a plastic casing. With their \"paper-thin\" polyester linens, this makes it for a very uncomfortable sleep. Also, you will sweat all night because your sleeping over plastic that does not allow for breathing/ventilation. You will sweat regardless of the room temperature. The last two nights (out of 5) we figured out the problem and removed the case. Those nights we were able to sleep better as we did not sweat profusely.
Additionally, the mattress is not comfortable at all.
5. Maintenance. Has significant issues, such as AC's not working properly or not working at all, lighting, furnishings, TV's, etc.

Better than expected!!

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The area is great... it's calm, safe and full of restaurants and bars.

The rooms are clean, spacious and well-decorated.

The only weird thing is that a bucket of ice there costs 12/15 reais...

Don't bother unless you speak Portuguese

The Hotel staff are ok, the rooms are ok but unless you speak Portuguese don't stay here. I needed a late checkout to cover the gap between leaving and my flight out of San Paulo. The internet stopped at 11 and it took 3 calls and a technician for them to understand I just needed an extension. Then it quit at 2 pm so I gave up and finished my work at the airport. Not ideal. Would I stay here again... no way no how.

We loved our stay here..

Originally we planned to stay here for one night while passing through Sao Paulo but the rooms and service were so good that we ended up staying another. All the staff were so nice, the showers are amazing, the breakfast delicious and best of all is an employee called Carla who went out of her way to help us from the moment we arrived. She is reason alone to stay in the Clarion.

My favorite neighborhood convenient location

Love this neighborhood, hotel is well situated for shops, restaurants and. Business district. The hotel is nice and good service, however the one thing I didn't enjoy in my room is the fact that the bed is just besides the bathroom, quite uncomfortable, the hotel/room is clean and all but that detail is not optimal.

I always stop at this hotel, it has decent and free WIFI, is in a great area, and the staff look after you. A little cheeky is the photos as i has thought they had upgraded the rooms since my last stay - this is not the case as the pictures are of some business appartments they have on site. The rooms are nice, but not per the pics. I will return here again.

Great hotel in a very nice area

The hotel was really nice for a fairly reasonable rate. It is in the Itaim Bibi area which is a very nice part of Sao Paulo with lots of restaurants in walking distance. It is also within a 20 minute walk from the big park. The staff all spoke English and were very helpful. It is about a R25 cab ride from Vila Madalena which is an area with good night life and about R125 cab ride from the airport.

Stay away from this hotel!

The young people in the reception was not able to smile,and it looked like they hated their job!.I had a receipt showing i had already payed for the hotel,but by check-out they said to me i had NOT payed.And then i had to pay once more for a hotel-stay i had already payed for!The receipt was not good enough for them,and the lady said something like;\"116 Real???.Its not that cheap to stay here.She was not able to understand that the receipt said £116!.The room was ok,but smaal.The toilet was not working,neither the airconditioning!.The breakfast was bad,and it was not possible to sleep because of the trafiss-noise.And my room was at the 16.th.floor!.

O hotel é muito bom, muito bem localizado e tem um staff legal, mas não é 5 estrelas. O Clarion é um sólido 4 estrelas.

O check-in foi ágil, mas a recepção merece um retrofit. Não condiz com a proposta do hotel.

O café-da-manhã deixou a desejar em variedade. Estive hospedado lá alguns anos atrás e o café já foi bem melhor.

Agora o quarto é muito bom. Confortável, travesseiros maravilhosos. A TV, ainda que antiga, tinha streaming. A cama era confortável e muito espaçosa. O blackout funciona bem.

A qualidade do sono só fica um pouco comprometida por causa da localização, no caminho do aeroporto de Congonhas... barulho constante de aviões de manhã cedo e carros esportivos acelerando nos fins de semana...

O banheiro foi renovado e o chuveiro é maravilhoso, mas a pia é terrível. Sem pressão, é preciso tirar o relógio ao lavar as mãos, pois ele bate direto na borda da pia...

Ainda assim, recomendo. A perspectiva é positiva.

Um hotel muito confortável, com excelente atendimento. O único ponto negativo foi a taxa altíssima para se servir e levar o café da manhã ao quarto, às vezes tudo o que a gente quer é ficar tranquila, longe do movimento, e tomar o café em paz.

Fora isso, fui muito bem recebida e hospedada. A localização é perfeita!
Viajei sozinha para São Paulo e foi a melhor escolha possível, tudo era perto, bares, restaurantes, farmácias e mercadinhos por todos os lados.

Com certeza será o meu hotel nas próximas estadias!
