Great location, inside a mall and near the City of Arts and Sciences.

However the hotel lets you down with other bits. For example, they don't provide iron and iron board and force you to use their expensive laundry service (7-10 euros per item). I've never been to a hotel with at least 3 stars with no iron or iron board. I ended up having to go to Mediamark downstairs to buy a cheap iron for 15 euros.

The hallway in our floor had smoke smell both nights so either they have rooms where they allow smoking or they don't monitor it as people were definitely smoking.

One of the days they took our used towels but didn't replace them with clean ones. I had to call reception late and night and request them.

Hotel is situated an upper part of a shopping mall which means a lot of stores and dining options around there. Mercadona is below and El Corte Inglés is just nextdoor. 30 min bus ride to the city center. 20 min to the beach.
Parking discount 14 euro/night. Sent us a good instruction beforehand, so easy to find where to park.
Facility itself needs some update, but the room was clean. Amenities were quite basic. It would be great if they provide a fridge. AC works great.
The staff were nice and friendly.

Great location and excellent overall service. Thanks for the cans of drinking water in rooms. Superb breakfast and a wide array of buffet food offerings. But a few raw points. The beds are metal makeshift beds. A double queen bed is actually two metal beds put together. Otherwise excellent experience.

The hotel on the 5th floor was noisy due to mainly cleaning staff. Rooms were cleaned after 4pm . Lifts were out of order so had to use stairs one day or wait a long time as only one lift was working .. food was very average . I would say use the Aqua 4 as good there much improved

It is convenient that there is a mall on the bottom floor, but the interior of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Very plain, looks like old office rooms that were \"renovated\" to be hotel rooms. The first room we were in didn't have a safe, we got switched to a different room and the safe was broken! A safe is very important to store your passport obviously. No coffee pot, no tissues provided. They claim they are \"eco friendly\" but I think that's just the phrase they use instead of \"cheap\" and \"minimal.\"

All staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were kept clean and made up each day. Breakfast was very good, great variety and never had to wait long to be seated.
Beds were not as comfortable as I would expect in a hotel, and space to store clothes limited, especially as we had three in a room. We had two rooms between five of us and the a/c worked brilliantly in one room and was intermittent in the other (we did not report it, as it seemed to be fixed and then failed again late at night). Having to buy bottled water, at €3.5 each from the 4 star hotel next door, in very hot weather was inconvenient and the absence of fridges in the room, which I knew about, was more of an inconvenience than I had anticipated. It was very hot and buying bottled water to bring back was not really possible.
The location is the hotel's real selling point. Everywhere is so accessible, either on foot, bus or metro and i'm sure cycling would be really convenient, too.
If you are looking for somewhere to simply sleep and have breakfast before / after a busy day of sight seeing, I would recommend.

The bathroom (bath and toilet) seemed dirty with stains on them.
The door in the bathroom was not very private and kept getting stuck when trying to open it.
There was no fridge in the room so water provided was hot.
Our A.C did not work properly so was boiling and couldn't sleep, as well as the bed being very squeaky and fragile every time we sat on it.
Some sort of refund or compensation would be great as it wasn't a great experience.

Location is good. Receptionists are kind but hotel rooms and service are terrible. No minibar, no kettle, no glass and even no shampoo or hand soap in the rooms. Just showerjel and bed. No restaurant/bar service if you need even a simple drink around 11 pm. I was sick and needed hot tea, they were not able to give me a glass of hot water although I offered them to pay its double cost.
Breakfast start at 8:00 (not 7:00). Room was not cleaned properly. Worse hotel I had stayed compared to its price. Never ever!

Staying at Illunion 3 Aqua.

All staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be. We did ask for a double bed in our booking and got singles which they couldn't change apparently.
There was no small fridge or mini bar where we could store water to drink and when we asked if they had any we could use they said they didn't but we were welcome to put bottled water in their fridge if we wanted to, which was very good of them but I didn't really relish the idea of having to go down to reception every time I wanted to get a cool drink of water, particularly in the middle of the night in my nightwear.
There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms either.
Other than that our stay was really good. We were out a lot, just coming back from the beach to shower, or the city and then off out again in the evening.
Food was not included in the price of our stay but breakfast, lunch and dinner was available in the hotel at an extra cost.
Overall our stay was very good and I would stay here again.

Good check. But the rooms are not in good conditions. The bathroom ‘door’ it’s a glass door which doesn’t shut so when you are doing your business it’s like doing it in the room. Me and my partner had to go for a walk in the mall to give eachother privacy which is ridiculous!
They don’t have a wardrobe. And not drawers FYI. The room was spacious enough. The place is extremely noisy, especially when the cleaning starts early in the morning you be 100% sure you will wake up as there is A LOT of banging.
I put a request for a quiet room and possibly with a view (which I know it’s not always possible) but guess what ? They gave us a room right in front of the elevator, which is super noisy and people come and go at all sorts of time. The room also had with a view to a parking lot( which we didn’t care much for that).

Worst hotel bed I’ve ever had

This is a nice hotel with some unfortunate downsides. First, the bed. I honestly can’t remember ever having such a bad bed in a hotel. It’s a thin mattress on a metal support that made terrible noise every time either of us moved. It felt like a sofa bed. We stayed in 4 hotels traveling through Spain and didn’t see anything like it anywhere else. Second, it is attached to a hotel and directly under the hotel there is construction going on. I was assured at check in that you couldn’t hear it in the rooms only the lobby. Wrong. Jackhammer all day. On the plus side the breakfast we included in our stay was wonderful and taxis were plentiful.

Don’t stay here!

I hate to give a bad review and I hardly ever do, but I have to score this one bad because it’s extremely confusing and inconvenient despite being in a great location that you would think would be very convenient. There’s an automatic sliding door at street level to get in, but it won’t open. There are 2 buttons next to the door. One says aqua 3 and the other says aqua 4. We pushed the button for aqua 3, as that was where we had a reservation, but nothing happened. After trying for several minutes and pushing the button several times to no avail, some people were coming out and opened the door for us. Once inside, we went to the front desk and checked in. No problem. Then I asked where we should park and he said in the underground parking garage. Great. We drove into the parking garage, followed all the signs that said aqua, parked and proceeded to go back upstairs to the hotel. There was an escalator going up right near where we parked so we went up. It took us into a mall. We walked through the mall looking for a sign to lead us to the hotel entrance but there were none. I asked several people in the mall but nobody knew. After walking through 3 floors of the mall with all of our luggage and getting very frustrated, we finally found a small staircase at the far end of the 3rd floor that said hotel access. The only sign we found. I had to make 2 trips up the stairs to get all of our bags up. Finally we made it to our room about an hour later. We found out later that there is

Nice hotel, in a good neighborhood. Maybe the walls are too thin, but overall it has a high value for the cost.

It's close to the City of Arts and Sciences, and right above the shopping center, where you can also have breakfast/dinner, with different choices. Bikes can also be rented from reception, and then go through the park all the way to the Bioparc or Old Town.

The location of the hotel was perfect, approx 20mins from the airport by Taxi, located above a shopping mall with lots of restaurants and shops; and within walking distance to the Science museum. However the room was very basic, no mini fridge or safe. There were also ants in the bathroom and on the floor in the room.

Comfortable Stay in Great Location

The hotel is modern, clean and has an excellent location close to the City of Arts and Sciences. It is also close to the bus and taxi stands. It is located above a shopping center, so finding a place to eat when you are tired of sight seeing is easy. There is also a pharmacy and grocery store in the shopping center. Essentially everything you need is close by. It is about 10 min to the beach and 15 min to old town, and a 10 min walk to the City of Arts and Sciences. The only downside is the twin beds pushed together, so for the two couples it wasn't ideal, but for the other two singles it was ok. Beds and pillow are not the most comfortable, but that is on par for most of Europe.

Close to the ‘science quarter’

First time in Valencia and so picked a hotel that was close to the start of the half marathon (husband had entered the race).
Very modern, a little bit of a ‘corporate’ feel but a very nice hotel. Sits on top of a shopping centre with plenty of eateries and coffee/beer stops.
Breakfast was good, lots of continental choice with a small cooked selection.
Five minute walk to the bus stop to take you into the city centre which is stunning.

The hotel is very nice, in a good/safe location of Valencia, the staff is helpful and offer you all the information that you need.
Me and my wife did in this hotel things we never did until now as the hotel does not have a proper bathroom door, it is a glass door and it does not even completely cover the hole so we had to do at least 2 things that we never did before in front of each-other.
Our room was perfect for 1-2 nights stay. If you stay longer and you have more clothes with you there is no place to deposit these so you have to keep them in your luggage. Try to wear a t-shirt after a week stay to this hotel...
Valencia is a nice city. Expected or not, in the summer it gets really hot. The hotel though about this and they offer you 2 bottles of water daily. It's a good idea, very nice touch. However, you have no refrigerator in the room so your water would be hot all the time. After a walk through the old center or a day at the beach it would be great to have a COLD drink in your room. A small hotel refrigerator costs under 100$. You get these money for 1 night stay so you could consider adding this valuable item.

A nice and practical hotel... Easy and simple...

Was a great two nights experience... it was my first time in Valencia and we felt welcomed and well treated by hotel staff. But before the shuttle company we booked along with the hotel, they were also fantastic.. I felt like it was not our first time there.
The first day we arrived we had the chance to have our lunch and beachfront restaurants where we enjoyed a great deal of seefood!
And for dinner we wanted to experience some meat...then we didn't know where to find a right place and I got a superb advise from this young lady at the reception - Raquel, to hum I address our \"Thank you\" for her professionalism and \"ready to help\" attitude!
So we had a great weekend in Valencia and I would say... Great Bad... good food and very nice city and people... A Nice place to return and explore more!

The staff was helpful, the room was clean, the location was great. Things were very uncomfortable inside the room though. They provided 2 TWIN beds put together like a full size bed. But the room has glass doors in the bathroom, so obviously it's made for a couple. It was weird sleeping away from my girlfriend because of the bed(s). Be sure to request the right bed for you. But seriously otherwise a nice hotel.

Overall we had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. It should be noted however that the hotel is located in the fourth floor of a mall; so if you forget this and you do not speak Spanish, it might be a bit hard to find :P. Overall the area around is very nice, although I think it is more residential. You can take one bus to get to the beach, or walk, which is about half an hour away.
The staff is very friendly and answers all your questions. Rooms are a bit small, and our bathroom did not have what I would call a real door. It had a sliding glass door that was more for decoration than privacy. However, the rooms are very clean and maintained very well every day. The bus stop for the hop on- hop off tourist buses are right in front of the hotel, if you would like to do some sightseeing.

Last minute booking to stay at the Agua 3. It's ideally situated for the shopping centre and the city of arts and sciences. But it's not in a good location for getting to the city centre which is about a 1 hour walk away. The tourist bus stops at the entrance to the shopping center. This will take you to the beach and the city center but costs around €17 per day. The room didn't contain a lot. A bed, a desk, 2 lamps, a safe, a tv and a place to hang clothes. The whole room is painted white making it a cold setting. The bathroom is modern. It has a sliding door which covers the light switch. This means you have to remember to switch the light on before you go in otherwise you have to walk out, close the door, switch the light on and slide the door open again. The view from my room was towards the shore. Looks a bit like old factories out that way. There's a lot to highlight as problems but I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff were great and the room was sufficient for my needs.

A new facility in AQUA mall near ocean + museums

Confusing buildings in a nice mall called AQUA. Aqua 3 and Aqua 4 hotels are 2 buildings next to each other - different pricing. Rooms are new, clean and relatively inexpensive. Internet (good speed) was included along with a decent breakfast. Felt more like a business hotel.

Location - walk to nearby science museum and other cool things. Take a bus along the shore to the city beach which is really nice. Buses are convenient and frequent. Getting to the hotel from the railway station is a bit challenging; recommend a taxi (taxis are very cheap in Valencia for some reason; for a family of 5, sometimes cheaper than metro tickets).

Being in a mall meant lots of food choices were available although our hotel wing did not have a pool that the other seemed to have. Apart from a decent room, no other amenities were available. Reception staff friendly and nice. Valencia has a lot of English speakers so Spanish speaking is not a must. Good shopping - also a large grocery store in the mall.

Not too far from the city center which is absolutely gorgeous with many great places to eat. Our only regret - we should have stayed at least 2-3 days in Valencia! Great place....

!0 nights in a Spanish Travelodge...sort of

Booked the Aqua 3 hotel as literally a last ditch attempt to get 10 days in Valencia last minute and as close to my budget as possible. The Aqua 3 is more suited to 1 or 2 nights for weekend trips or business trips. However its location right by the modern City of Science and Arts, 20 minute bus rides to the old city centre and the cities beaches made it a great place to lay our sleepy heads at the end of some busy days seeing the sites and sunning ourselves on the beach. We hired bikes from the hotel which were great as Valencia has loads of cycle routes. One bonus for anyone who loves shopping (my wife) is that the hotel sits on top of a large shopping mall with good shops, supermarket and a huge number of restaurants.
The only down side was there was no coffee/tea making facilities which we could really have done with and no pool (but I knew that in advance).

A weekend in Seville

Spent a quick weekend in Seville out of almost a month touring Spain. The Ilunion Aqua 3 defines itself as a 3-star hotel and ferociously clings to that standard. Perhaps, because the Ilunion Aqua 4 adjoins it, the strict adherence to the rating/service code is justified in management's mind. In any case, the staff is very professional and helpful.

I only intended to stay one night but as the hotel and staff were excellent I stayed 6 nights in total . I could walk to the beach in 20 minutes or town centre in 30 minutes but there are regular buses to all areas of Valencia . Bars and restaurants in the attached shopping centre are excellent value . Rooms are pristine , air conditioned and comfortable .
My only criticism is the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms .
Overall a very good hotel , fantastic value and exceptional reception staff who made my stay very enjoyable !

Decent Hotel

This is more like a business hotel, very basic, small, but clean. The room we stayed in had no closet or any storage area. There was no fridge or coffee maker in the room, but had a small safe. There is no laundry facility in the hotel. The location is ideal for visiting the City of Art and Science, just cross the bridge in 5 minutes, Taxi to the hotel costs around €8-9 from Jouquin Sorolla Train Station. Bus #19 (€1.20) to old town takes about 15 -20 minutes that you can get on about a big block away. This bus can also take you to the beach on the other direction, or you can walk to the beach in about 15-20 minutes. The hotel is above a mall that has several restaurants and a supermarket which we found convenient. The department store El Corte Inglés is across the street, also has a supermarket in the basement. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful.

With all our luggage, we took a taxi but there is a bus stop right across the street that takes you directly to the city centre. Check in was hassle free and quick.

Wonderful Hotel

We enjoyed a perfect stay at Hotel Confortel Aqua 3. The staff was extremely helpful, the room was very comfortable, and the location was great. There's a local bus stop (number 19) very close to the hotel which takes you to the beach and downtown. There is also a tour bus stop near the hotel for those who are interested. We had a late flight and were able to check in at 1 am with no problem. There were also complimentary waters waiting on us. It's a great hotel in a great city!

I would stay here if I ever return to Valencia

I paid $80 canadian (55€) a night for a room with three beds. It worked out to be cheaper for the three of us to stay here than some run down hostal. The hotel was very modern & nice. It is directly across the street from Valencia's most famous buildings/monuments.

Great hotel to stay

The hotel location is great. It is on top of a shopping center having another shopping center across the street. It overlooks the Valencia's City of Art and Sciences, the Oceanographic Park where and Turia River Bed Gardens. The staff is very nice and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Great hotel!

The cheap rate I paid for this hotel made me a little wary of what to expect when I arrived, but I was more than impressed by the hotel and the service we received. The hotel is in a great location, and handily just above a shopping mall. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the cleanliness of the hotel was very reassuring and to a very high standard. Would definitely come here again!

Great location!

The hotel was very well located for the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, L'Oceanogràfic and the other architecture marvels in Valencia. The staff were extremely helpful in giving us places to eat and see. Everyone also spoke English very well and communication wasn't a problem like we feared as our Spanish is pretty much non existent. It was very good value for money, only this I say could be improved was maybe more pillows but for the price I can live without. The rooms were very well equipped, WiFi was good just ask reception for the login. Bathroom had the standard toiletries and the shower was very refreshing after a day walking.

Great location

Hotel is quite new. Very clean and nicely located next to the new bit of Valencia - Science Museum, Oceanographic etc. I wish had a better view from our window, also TV could have been a bit larger. Nice gesture of a free bottle of water, however, hard to split between 3 people. Overall, quite satisfied with our stay there. However, it is quite far from the city centre, so keep that in mind.
