I loved my stay at Domino House - it was perfect for my first solo trip. The room was a great size (not huge, but not too small - perfect for a solo traveler or couple), and I loved the traditional-style windows. The staff were super friendly and the hotel was in a great location (just outside of the centre but easy enough to travel in via bus or metro) and I felt safe as a female solo traveller. Overall, the hotel was great value for money and I would definitely recommend!

The hotel has a bus stop across the street and also two blocks away depending which direction you are heading. There some local restaurants nearby that aren't \"touristy\". Easy to get to. Just comes with some street noise since i had to crack the window open as the air conditioner was either deactivated or non functioning.

A great boutique hotel for Valencia Vacations

We were very Happy with our stay at this unique Boutique Hotel. The room was clean and had everything we needed (Shower, AC, Mini-Fridge). The location is perfect, very close to the Turia park and with lots of good connections to Bus and Subway. Nearby also a lot of cafes, restaurants and shopping (Supermarket, ALDI). We will definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises.

One thing to mention is that the room we had was relatively small, but not really an issue for us since we were exploring the town all day and didn't have the need to work or stay in the room all day (e.g. for business).

Staff was also very friendly, check-in was fast, and we felt very welcome. Definitely a good place top stay when vacationing in Valencia

This hotel covers the basics well—it's clean, and housekeeping tidies up daily, providing fresh towels, emptying the trash, and maintaining overall cleanliness. The bed and pillows offer decent comfort, though they could be better.

There were a few downsides. The shower is quite small—I had to stand sideways at times, and a larger guest might struggle. The towels could be softer. The TV is small and only offers local channels, which wasn’t ideal since I don’t speak Spanish. I ended up streaming Netflix on my iPad before bed. The windows are thin, letting in road noise. While I managed to sleep, a quieter environment would be preferable. The room also feels dark—more natural lighting would help. A concrete pillar between the bed and bathroom was frustrating, especially in low light. There’s no kettle or mugs, so making tea wasn’t an option. The only appliance provided was a small empty refrigerator.

The hotel is well-located, with the nearest metro less than a 15 minutes walk away. It's close to Valencia Stadium and within a reasonable distance of the Oceanogràfic and nearby attractions. Most places are reachable with a 20-30 minute walk.

I rated this hotel four stars because it provides solid value for the price. While the improvements I mentioned would enhance the stay, they might also raise the cost. If any of these factors would significantly impact your experience, you may want to consider another option.

Really lovely little hotel. I stayed here as a single traveller for the Valencia Half Marathon (and a few days before) and it was ideal. A direct metro trip on line 5 from the airport, followed by a ten minute walk, and I was there. I was allowed to check in early as my room was ready and I received a warm and friendly welcome. In fact, all the staff here were lovely and helpful throughout my stay.

My room was ideal for a solo traveller. The bed was super comfortable, there was a desk, specs to hang clothes, and a nice bathroom (with always hot water). The windows opened too, which I always appreciate.

The only point I would highlight is the walls are super thin, but fortunately my loudly spoken neighbours went to bed at 10:15pm every night and it was silent after that.

There is a nice lounge area downstairs with a couple of vending machines and bicycle hire. They also have a breakfast arrangement with the coffee shop across the street, which is a nice idea.

It was a half hour walk into the Old Town or less to the Arts and Science Park. I was also able to walk back from the beach in just 45mins. Great city for walking but also bikes, metro, trams and buses if you don’t want to walk.

I would definitely stay here again!

Brick ceiling falling apart and debris kept falling onto the bed, the staff knows about it and says it's just like that. Asked a second person on the staff who said they have someone to brush it and that they would come do so. They did not do that or service the room. Mold on the ceiling and in the shower. A light on the bed cannot be shut off so you have to remove the key to depower the whole room which means you can't charge your phone and sleep. Air conditioning doesn't work. Windows are wood so they don't reduce street sound.

The porperty was very good but the HUGE issue was that expedia made book this hotel in replacement of another that was supposed to be canceled bases on the agent exchange at the time because of the amuneties were not promessed when booking. Expedia misled me big time and STILL attribute the fault to the hotel not willing to reimburse me. I want want Expedia to fufilled his commitment as promised!!

The Original Domino House is very clean and the building has been nicely updated. We had the twin bed room and it was small but quite adequate for two people. We were very comfortable.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is walkable and bus and metro stops are nearby. The staff gave us a list upon request of nearby restaurants. All the places we tried were excellent. The hotel is not located in the tourist area, but it is easy to take a bus there. It is also walkable.

It would be nice if there was a way to make coffee or espresso in the room. The street is also very noisy, an investment in glass that provided more soundproofing would be helpful.

Character Hotel With Friendly Staff .

The Domino Hotel is a comfortable, clean small hotel with good character. Staff are super friendly ( big shout out to Maite ). Chose to stay her due to the location being between the city and the beach, however it does feel a little away from the action, though still fairly close to the east side of the city and nearby the Parque De La Alameda and Mercat De Colon. A fair walk to the beach area though. The hotel was quiet and comfortable, with good air conditioning. Overall a good stay at a fair price .

Really nice, clean, comfortable hotel set slightly away from the city centre. Equidistant between the beach and centre, it provides an ideal location if you want to explore the beautiful surroundings.
The hotel is minimal, but comfortable. The rooms were a decent size and provided a high quality stay.
Breakfast (if you want it) is at the restaurant/cafe over the road. You can buy a voucher at reception the night before. I’d recommend going for a walk though, as there are dozens of small cafes doing coffees and breakfast parties within 5 minutes of the hotel.
Overall, an excellent stay at an excellent price.

Such a Shame! Lovely but noisy.

Noisy little boutique hotel. Only small amount of rooms do not get the street noise and it is a loud street noise and traffic. Along with noisy neighbours which reception did nothing about, poor. Eventually got moved, I should not have had to ask twice, and the room was much quieter, except being rudely awoken with guests chatting in the lounge area, near my door late AND with a cleaner talking outside my door early in the morning! Invest in soundproof glazing rather than just wooden hatches for windows. This would be a grand wee hotel if they could do that - make sure people can sleep at night. Good location. Nice hotel, good location and features but due to issues with sleep, I would not return or recommend.

Nice place but outside the normal tourist hot spots. I really liked it as I had stayed in the historic centro before and wanted to see regular life. For US visitors be aware the shower and bed are very small in the single rooms. Not a problem for me but those used to US sized accommodation may be surprised overall I highly recommend

Could not love this place more!

My son and I stayed here while visiting Spain for Fallas. The customer service here was outstanding! We read reviews before we booked and came prepared with water and coffee for our room. The cafe across the street is phenomenal and was an excellent option for both my son and myself. Our room was clean and exactly as advertised. The shower does leak a bit, but we just used an extra towel to catch the water. The bicycles, cafe area and vending machines were appreciated extras. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit in July.

We stayed for 10 days for a sports tournament. We used the bicycles to get to and from the tournament. The mini fridge was very helpful. The staff were exceptionally helpful, and facilitated conversations between us and the airlines to recover a list bag. The location is central with plenty of restaurants, and shopping nearby. I absolutely fell head over heels in love with this hotel. So beautifully decorated and quite unique. Beds are very comfortable. The staff are amazing, so helpful and polite and nothing is too much trouble. Cleanliness is second to none. Great location too, close to the metro and a regular bus service. There is a great coffee shop across the road serving lovely breakfast menu at a very reasonable price. I'll definitely return and would highly recommend. A great 52 hours in Valencia

Stayed two nights with my teenage daughter. Caught the metro from the airport to Collin and walked to the hotel from there. A mile ish maybe. Greated by a friendly lady in reception. Room clean and comfy. Fridge with decent space for chilling water bottles. Only thing missing is a safe. That didn't bother us though. We walked from the hotel to the beach both days. 2 miles each way. Bus route around the corner but we wanted to walk. Plenty of supermarkets close by and eating places. There is a coffee machine and vending machine in the hotel and a waiting area. The hotel is basic. But lovely basic. The area felt safe, we walked everywhere and came home late at night both times. Science and arts area about a mile walk away. This hotel for us was great value for money.

My stay at Original Domino House was absolutely perfect, I continued to extend my stay because I felt so good and comfortable. From the moment I arrived, I felt so much peace from the kindness of people working there to the comfortability of my room. Maite, Cladia and Roberto are all so wonderful and were always ready to be there to help with anything I needed. It truly felt like I was staying at home and whenever I am staying in Valencia, I will choose to come back here. The location is peaceful and quiet with lovely cafes and grocery store nearby but still close enough to walk to the city center. Everything was perfect and I am so very thankful for my visit.

Lovely place with exceptionally helpful staff, in a lower middle class neighbourhood of the city. Very clean, beautiful room shutters. Looking out of the small balcony onto the roadside you catch a slice of life at the tiny corner cafe, with the locals popping in. Slightly noisy mornings if you are a light sleeper. Good bus connections and metro Amistat is a 10 minute walk away, but Valencia is very much a walking city, so if you only have a very few days or it's your first time there and you are a discovering the city solo, better to stay in the old town or Ruzafa at an equally lovely place for a smaller cost. I did for the last few days of my trip and I would have liked someone to tell me that!

Leider war die Ausstattung des Hotels sehr in die Jahre gekommen - das Bad war sicher 20 Jahre alt und die Dusche so klein, dass große oder breit gebaute Menschen echte Schwierigkeiten haben. Der Teppich im Zimmer war auch sehr alt. Positiv zu bewerten sind die bequemen Betten, die Sauberkeit und der Check-out um 12 Uhr mittags

Hemos estado muy contentos. El hotel se ve casi nuevo, está limpio y las habitaciones son muy cómodas. Tienen un área en la parte del lobby para poder trabajar si vienes de teletrabajo. Por otro lado, el bus 9 y 32 están en esa misma calle por lo que te lleva directo a todos lados sin necesidad de transbordar de un lugar a otro. Hay una serie de cafeterías alrededor para desayunar o comer.

It was very clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. We enjoyed our stay, but there was only a very small window in the room facing the middle of multiple buildings. Due to the smell and noice you couldn’t really open it… that also made the humidity pretty high. It was hard to get beach stuff dry again. Other than that 10/10, as well in regard of the location.

Jeg havde et godt ophold, som blev akut, da mit fly blev aflyst grundet DANA stormen i Valencia.
Blev taget godt imod sent om aften af en sød pige i receptionen. Fint hotelværelse. Lydisolationen er meget dårlig, så man skal have ørepropper med, hvis man er sart. Men med ørepropper kunne jeg intet høre.

Fint badeværelse. Dejligt centralt i Valencia. Der er ikke morgenmad på hotellet, men de samarbejder med caféen lige ved siden af.

Rigtig godt hotel hvis man også rejser solo.

Excelente experiencia. Un hotel muy completo con todo lo que un viajero necesita, personal muy amable y servicial. El cuarto excelente en limpieza y diseño. Definitivamente recomendable.

Lief, behulpzaam en erg vriendelijk personeel. Kamer erg schoon en mooi, perfecte locatie veel dingen op loopafstand en om de hoek kun je Steps, Bikes etc huren.

Alles is makkelijk bereikbaar met de fiets, het personeel was erg netjes en de airco was ook erg fijn met de hitte buiten!
