Well, it's been a long time since I've reviews a hotel si badly.
First, the check in, took half an hour, the keys to the room, did not work..: finally, once in the room, it was not clean, with toilet paper in the trash can, a used towel, and messy beds.
The temperature of the room could not be adjusted, so it was like a sauna. We could hardly get any sleep.
To top it off, the bathroom didn't even have soap (only a small bottle of shampoo.)

They provide things in the bedroom in the refrigerator but most of them were expired and close to expiry including the pringles , soft drinks and beers . The wardrobe was falling apart , they don’t provide drinking water, coffee or kettles , they charge extortionate price if you used any item from the fridge . Very poor service

The hotel was very well located.
I had the breakfast twice it was extremely good, choice and quality.
We had a triple room, it was ok, my only slight issue was we had to ask for a third towel on a few occasions.
The food in the bar was very good.
I’m afraid our main disappointment was the bar staff, if there was an award for the most curt and grumpy bar man, the older of the two barmen would win it!

I have to be honest but the hotel looked completely different in a negative way compared to what i first saw on the app and on the hotel official website. Me and my girlfriend stayed for 15 days and had high expectations from the pictures and some of the reviewers we saw online. The room was very basic,bathroom toilet very dirty and very run down. Which was not ideal due to my girlfriend recovering from a operation in spain. The rooftop poor is very small,very cold and looked old and run down. The gym looked very old and completely different to what you see on the hotel website just like the pool. Only positives i can say is that the staff was very good and efficient. The location of the hotel is excellent close to loads of restaurants,sites,city centre and bars. And if like the beach you can get a cab to the beach which is like a 12 15 minutes drive there. But overall i think the hotel is more a 3 star then a 4 star hotel for sure

The hotel was in good place, and the breakfast was super. The staff were helpful and supportive. The issue was that on my third day, the lights in my room went off (after a strong noise). The hotel gave a new temporary room and was able to move that room. The second issue was that there were not staffed to help us to move our belongings to the new room (it was late night) and also the door of the first room did not work well with a low battery access card.

Positive:- 3 sets of lifts, so there was no waiting getting to your room, large balcony. The breakfast was fine, location was good.
What I did not like was deep bath to step into out of, which was not clean on arrival!,
The room was in need of updating especially as we had the so called EXECUTIVE SUIT, no cups or spoons with the kettle, balcony door did not lock, wardrobe door flapping around. Only a news channel for British travellers, unless your able to translate. The internet was totally unreliable, even though it was reported nothing done.

Not the best attitude!

We booked a night at this hotel for our golden wedding anniversary, as it was a special anniversary we booked a suite. The suite was clean and comfortable although a little tired. But it was a nice room. Unfortunately at 02.45 we were awoken by water pouring through the bathroom ceiling from the room above, it was also running through to the hallway. We tried to ring through to the reception but that line was dead, so my husband had to go down to reception where he was told, all we can do is move you to another room. Reception then gave him another room key. So at 03.30 we’re having to pack up everything in our room and move to the next room.
For this upheaval and wet belongings we were given a refund of 20% €34! We sent an email to Victor Valero to reassess the refund, but was told that no, that decision stands. Nice hotel until something goes wrong.

El hotel es divino pero no hay aire acondicionado en la habitación es solo calefacción, yo soy de Estados Unidos y estamos acostumbrados al aire , pero bueno me dijeron que abriéramos las ventanas , así lo hice y pudimos dormir mejor, es el mes de la Fallas y los fuegos artificiales no te dejan dormir bien, elige otro mes .

Short autumn break in Valencia

A visit for the Valencia half marathon. The hotel was excellent, convenient for the race, whether running or viewing, comfortable, great breakfast buffet and welcoming staff. Easy to get into the city centre and across to the City of Arts and Sciences area.

The property is near most of the tourist attractions in Valencia, there are lots of places to eat nearby, like Dulce de Leche who serves Argentinian delicacies to die for, there is a queue always but so worth it. A little Thai restaurant is just in front of the hotel and they serve lovely food in the most affordable price, kudos to their chef. And back to Hotel Valencia Center who went above and beyond our expectations, who served us champagne and cake slices on my birthday, maybe because I’m a platinum member of Expedia. The hotel itself is just fab when it comes to food served at breakfast time, to the cleanliness of the area, the courteousness of staffs, always eager to help, our big thanks to Jose Marie for all the help. All in all a five star experience.

Stayed for a long weekend, over the Fallas festival, great location, nice hotel, staff very friendly, Reception and bar was fictional, but bar staff nice, Breakfast has excellent selection and was good. The double room was a little small if a couple staying but I was on my own, bathroom fine though, cleaned everyday. Rooftop pool technically not in operation this time of year and a little small, the lower flor terrace and pool area are very cramped with little access to sun with overhanging building structure. The hotel is good access to the old town, and beach, lots of food and bars, lovely restaurant directly opposite.

I'm not a picky person, however, this hotel had its challenges. (1) It's outdated. The rooms need a refresh. (2) The bathroom layout makes it very difficult to get into and out of the shower (3) We had to change rooms twice due to issues specific to those rooms during our stay.

The highlight of this hotel is its breakfast buffet. That was exceptionally well ran, robust choices, good food, and friendly staff.

Room was ok, 2 beds pushed together was not idea for our honeymoon. Room needed a repaint and sheets we uncomfortable.
Only came to stay for 3 days as we had been down at the beach and wanted a pool. Last day pool was closed for most of the day, each member of staff told us a different time for it reopening. Very frustrating to waste our last day back and forth to the hotel to see if the pool has re opened! No apology or discount on room.
Restaurant staff were pleasant and helped with tourist info, lots of lovely places to eat around the area and all within walking. Location was good!

Very close to the science museum

Our 3 night stay was very good, the hotel is very close to the science museum and the sea life centre. It’s a longer walk into the centre of town and all the other sites that a visitor would want to see, but very enjoyable through the park. Lots of restaurants close by too!
The pool on the roof is very small with just a very small area for sunbathing which quickly filled up in the afternoon! Not really a hotel for relaxing by the pool, unfortunately!

Good hotel in a great location

Nice hotel in a great location between old town and the beach, also around 20 minutes (walk) from the Mestalla stadium. The staff are very friendly and the hotel itself is generally good overall. In essence, this is a great hotel if you're going to spend most of time outdoors as there is not much to do inside.

Contemporary city with old town class!

Yesterday my wife and I returned from Valencia following a 7 day holiday. Virtually everything was perfect from the hotel(reception staff, breakfast room and their staff, room cleaning) to the locality half way between the beach and the city centre either of which can be walked in around 20 minutes; however people who have difficulty or dislike walking public transport is on the doorstep. The hotel is situated on a wide, impressive avenue and close to magnificent modern, almost futuristic structures, including the Arts and Science and Oceanografic.. Worthwhile also mentioning day trips we took to La Albufera (by bus) and Xativa (by train). Also standing out were the Turia( a must walk or cycle), the old town, the choice and quality of food and not forgetting the long Playas although perhaps at this time of year a bit windy on occasions.

OK hotel with great breakfast

The room was clean just not great. The bathroom shower was cramped and uncomfortable. The glass doesn’t cover much so we made a mess because the shower head was also not very convenient. Now the breakfast was amazing! Food was well done, well presented and delicious. The location is also good if you want to visit the Museum of Science. We walked for less than 5 minutes to get there.

Optimum Position for a hotel

We spent time in the city and at the beach and in the local centre which has extensive retail and eating opportunities. We also appreciated the open spaces and museums in the old river bed which is a short walk from the hotel. This hotel is in the perfect position to enjoy all that Valencia has to offer.

The hotel was nice and and the pool looked nice but unfortunately it was close due to our stay being out of season.
I found the room to be clean and tidy with the only issue being that the air con was not working so we found the nights a little bit warm even with the window wide open.
I did report this to the staff and they put in a call to maintenance but unfortunately could not repair it before we left.

Virtually all staff very helpful. Rooms serviced every day but bed linen not changed very often. Plenty of choice at breakfast. The pool and pool area was tiny. Previous reviews talked about walking to both the beach and the old town but both took much longer than suggested..To counter this, however, the public bus service is excellent. The number 19 stops right outside the hotel costing 1.50Euros a trip. Tip (buy a 10 trip card for 10.50.) Buses stop at about 10.30 pm but a taxi from the old town only cost 8 Euros. A very quiet hotel.

Valencia is a beautiful city and the Hotel Valencia Center is in an ideal location not far from the old city and not far from the beach both easily accessed by bus right outside the hotel. Also within walking distance to the oceanographic centre and a variety of restaurants. Good clean hotel, pleasant reception staff with the added bonus of a small swimming pool. Only problem our fridge did not work and tv channels Sky news only channel in English..

This would have been a 5 star review in all categories but for two reasons. The mini bar in our room was warm - thermostat didn't work. Twice when we pre-booked breakfast for the following morning the message didn't get passed to the restaurant.
Receptionist Lara on the front desk was exceptionally helpful and welcoming.

Great hotel in a very good location. All the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Rooms were a good size with comfortable beds and were very clean, clean towels every day. Drinks we're too expensive, just depends what you were drinking, shorts with mixers were expensive but beer and wine were very reasonable. Didn't have any meals in hotel but found a lovely little place called glasol just up the road from hotel (turn right out of hotel and immediately right on to main road and it's just past the carabean club) only 5 mins away, staff lovely and we had toast and coffee for €2. They sell other food in glasol and they serve alcohol too so went back at night for a drink. Right in the heart of the art and science area. Really recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
