Great room, very spacious, clean and great cleaning service. Although they do knock early. Great reception (be aware when asking for bus route numbers, they didn't take into account the seasonal changes) that is my only criticism. Pool towels available. Great bar and friendly staff. Airport taxis if booked by hotel is 25 euro fixed price. Slightly away from the main areas but we used Suma10 card and bus generally easy to navigate if you fancy walking its about 20 mins to Russafa area. Beach 30 mins by bus. Taxi 8-9 Euro from main cathedral area to hotel. Overall a fabulous hotel. (We didn't have breakfast, plenty of street cafes)

Tried 3 different rooms. All 3 had soft floors next to the bathrooms 1 had visible mold. I had burning eyes, rash and headache within 30 minutes. Receptionist commented that the hotel passed inspection in 2015. Had to leave as they said the rooms were all the same and rebook elsewhere. They also have a zero refund policy for ANY reason. We missed 1 day due to flight cancellation from continued rain. More flooding was a safety concern. They also charged 3 times as much as the 4 star hotel in a safer more accessible area that we stayed in.

While driving to the hotel we could not easily recognize the entrance to hotel parking. We drove around the hotel 3 times. When I stepped into the hotel to ask the front desk where the entrance was i got a condescending response multiple times that it’s right here pointing towards the front door. The staff person finally came out of the hotel and showed me where the entrance was which is in front of another building. First impression was not good from my initial interaction but in general our hotel stay was fine.

More 3 star than 4!

I was a little disappointed with this hotel as I do not think the photos are a fair representation. Whilst it was clean, the rooms were dull and were without basics such as an iron. The area wasn’t great although there was a supermarket that is close by which came in handy during our stay. The bus stop was also very close which meant we were in the centre within 25 minutes by bus. I would say this hotel was more a 3 star hotel rather than 4.

We would thoroughly recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Valencia.
As 3 girls in their 20s, this was the perfect base for exploring Valencia.
Lovely spacious, clean room with lots of amenities.
Friendly and helpful staff. Always someone on reception (the man on reception late at night was always so welcoming).
I would recommend the massages here. The lady was lovely and we’ve never felt more relaxed!
The pool was larger than it looks and was great to cool off on the hot days. Could do with a few more loungers and umbrellas, but there is lots of grass space available in a pinch.
The highlight of the hotel is the beautiful buffet breakfast! So much delicious choice and wide range of options available. An array of juices, options for milk, pastries, breads, fruit, cooked options and more! We were full every day and didn’t need lunch!
There is a bus stop very close by which is about 15-20 mins into the centre of Valencia, which is €1.50 and easy to get around. We used Uber a lot and was around €7-12 to get anywhere you needed. €20 taxi from airport.
Overall an amazing stay at an amazing hotel!

Hotel was in pretty good location, only about a 10-15 min walk to the Arts and Sciences Centers. There were a few restaurants nearby as well as food stores. Fairly far from the city center, however, though there are train/Metro stops nearby. Rooms were comfortable enough with a good size balcony. The area was nice enough and as safe as any other big city in Spain. Parking is on-site and convenient. The breakfast was European buffet style and very much worth paying for. In short, I would stay here again should I return to Valencia.

We stayed in a superior double room (511) which was very quiet, lovely comfy bed and pillows. The rooms were cleaned everyday but not too early and with little noise. Only issue was the tv had only one English speaking channel.
Check in by Carmina was very easy as I had checked in online beforehand.
The breakfast each morning was very nice with a good selection. They even had prosecco which I enjoyed with my orange juice. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel was just a few minutes walk from the Arts and Science centre which we both enjoyed. The city centre is a good 20/25 mins walk from the hotel but its an enjoyable walk.
The area outside of the hotel is quite untidy and shabby looking. Of the 6 nights, we ate at a lovely Indian restaurant called Mr. India just across the road from the hotel. Food was fabulous. There are not many more restaurants in the area.
There are 2 shopping centres just past the Arts and Science centre (again within walking distance) which have loads of shops and restaurants.

Not in the smartest part of town but the hotel; was clean and comfortable with a few decent restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Just 5 minutes from the Turia Garden, a 10k long park which is the best way or getting from one end of Valencia to the other by foot or bike.

Decent stay for a last minute trip. The hotel is fine, but not in an interesting area. It's about a 10 minute walk to the City of Arts & Sciences and more to the lively neighborhoods. However, the buffet breakfast is a plus and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Brilliant stay at Hotel Medium. We arrived early and were granted early access to our room, which was very cool despite being particularly hot outside. The pool was open 11 til 8 every day and the kids pool in particular was perfect for our 2 and 4 year olds. Breakfast had a great selection with fresh fruit, pastries and cooked options available so the kids were happy and set us up well for the day.

The local area is fairly residential so we got taxis (Freenow app) to attractions - Piscina Parc de Benicalap (water park), Plaça de la Verge (historic city centre), Oceanogràfic (oceanarium), Malvarrosa beach - which was very reasonable. No dinner restaurant on site but lots of local food options including takeaways via Glovo app.

We expected some minor niggles based on other reviews but didn’t experience any - pool was never overcrowded, staff very friendly and helpful, no extra charge for safe in room.

Room tip (216) - Floor 2 on the pool side had a larger outdoor area due to the roof and saved our legs when the two lifts were busy by post breakfast.

We really enjoyed staying here. It is a short walk to the Oceangraphic and related venues and the old town is a pleasant walk through the Jardin del Turia. Our single complaint was that the pool was not accessible to guests until 11am, possibly because local school children use it before then, but on the other hand it is good to see businesses engage with their community so we weren’t really too upset.

The hotel is located in a convenient location near to bus stop with buses to city center and other attractions. Breakfast is available with additional price.
Rooms are very clean and spacious and most of the rooms are having balcony attached. The electric kettle is not provided by default but they will provide if you ask in the reception. Staffs are very helpful and queries are addressed with the best effort.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Rooms are small but clean. Shower is really tiny though, the kind where you soap the walls and just spin around. LOOOVED the soaps and shampoo though. Tube of body milk was a great extra touch.

With no good tap water it would be nice if they'd include a bottle of free water or two, but oh well. Not a negative note, but a nice to have.

My wife and I enjoyed the swimming pool and bike rental on site. There was a very bad odor in the lobby however the smell was not noticeable in our room. The location was perfect for walking to the Art and Science Museum as well as the Aquarium.

We stayed from Fri, 20 Sep - Sun, 22 Sep

Following our initial check-in which required a degree of reluctance on our part, before we were eventually offered two available rooms. This delightful hotel proved to be exceptional in every way but for the additional cost of surface car parking within the hotels confines.
Our room was comfortable, spacious, light & airy with en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was first rate with a great choice of things to eat and drink.
This hotel is located some way from the city centre with a good bus service taking you to and from its major attractions, as well as being a short walk from the hop on/hop off tour bus routes. A must to appreciate what this city has to offer the tourist.

Our stay at this hotel was good. However, there were some issues. We found it difficult to get into our room as the key card did not work. We then got another key card which also did not work and we spent quite some time trying to get in to our room. It seemed to be the room itself rather than the keycards which didn't work.

The other thing we did not rate so highly was our breakfast, which was not very good for a 4 star hotel. The eggs were cold and pastries a little stale.

On the other hand, the hotel receptionists were very helpful when we needed help and the pool was lovely :)

A great hotel which made our stay memorable

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Medium Valencia and it was a great experience. The room was fantastic and very clean. Breakfast was great and enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Staff were friendly and helpful and the amenities were top notch. It was in a fantastic location if you want to stay near the city of science and arts but situated to the south west of the city we needed to jump in a cab to get to the barrio or the rusafa where we wanted to eat out. All in I’d highly recommend this hotel.

Good location - 25 minute walk to Central Market and the main train station, 10 minute walk to the City of Arts and Science. Beach is approx. 10 minutes away by taxi. There’s a taxi rank to the left of the hotel or bus stop right outside!
Rooms are simple and clean. Only 1 English TV channel (not that it bothered us), asked for a double room but got 2 single beds pushed together. Shower had a mind of its own (!). However the room was fairly spacious and it was nice to have a balcony. My advice would be to ask for a high room (7th or 8th floor) overlooking the pool (for afternoon sun) rather than the main road at the front like our room. Breakfast was expensive at 11 Euros each but good choice and fairly good quality.

Good location for central Valencia and benefits from free street parking around the hotel. We had a triple room, which provided adequate space and separate sleeping areas. It seems to be pretty common to have two single beds pushed together as a ‘double’ and this is far from ideal for a couple, especially when two sets of single bedding are provided. Breakfast was ok, but I would opt for room only and enjoy your food elsewhere (we did not dine otherwise). The off-season timings for the pool seemed excessive (closures until June)!

The staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and modern. Very nice, comfortable and clean room, which was kept daily. Location is okay. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. The city center is about a 15-20 minute bus ride (the #35).Which was very nice easy and inexpensive, especially if you buy the bus card. The hotel is very close to the Sciences and Oceanogràfic center and is walkable. There are 2 markets that are also walkable from the hotel and a shopping center. The area is very residential, so not very touristy. It’s harder to find good restaurants and late night eats. There isn’t much action in around this area. Next time we would probably stay in the city center. But we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel. We had a very pleasant stay.

Disappointing stay

The hotel was in an out of the way place - not in the old town nor at the beach. It was chosen as it had outside space and a swimming pool. When we arrived in Valencia it was 33’ and we wanted to sit outside, have a coffee, have some lunch and use the pool. The outside was completely closed. We couldn’t even sit outside never mind use the pool.
Our rooms - bedroom, bathroom and sitting room were small, boringly decorated and smelt of sewage. We checked out early and went elsewhere.

We were given one room key at check in and it looked very used. When we came back from dinner, our room key didn't work anymore and we had to go back down to the lobby from the 7th floor (thank god for elevators) to get a new key. The only other complaint was the room service walking in right as we had started getting undressed, because we did not have a \"do not disturb\" sign anywhere in the room (we looked everywhere.)

Came here on a short break with my daughter. Check in was quick and the staff very nice. Our room was spacious with a nice balcony although we overlooked the street you couldn't hear anything once the door was closed. The bathroom was generous in size plenty of hot water and complimentary toiletries. The beds were comfortable and as we were lucky to have great weather we really appreciated the air conditioning. The swimming pool was surprisingly big for in a city and there was plenty of sun beds and chairs. We did not have breakfast during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Just back from a week at Hotel Valencia. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are excellent. We had a problem with the air conditioning and without hesitation we were moved to another room. Swimming pool is brilliant. Location was ideal as the hotel is midway between old town and the beach. Only slight criticism is the balcony furniture which could be improved. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Great hotel, value for money. Wouldn’t rate it as a 4* hotel. More 3* as need updating and not as slick as many 4* accomms.

Close to supermarkets, and art and sciences district. Old town only 30mins walk, or 45 if you walk the scenic route through the park. Easily accessible by bus. Taxi to the beach only 10-15mins.

Downsides:
Bar only opens at 7.30pm
No tea/coffee making facilities in room, but provided on request.
Bring your own pool towels. Poolside could do with sprucing up.
Gym has very dated equipment.

We opted for hotel out of city as their was a pool. Easy to get in to city on bus no. 35 and bus to beach from end of Avenida de Plata(95) a 10 minute walk to bus stop near La Oceańia. Staff friendly and attentive. Thanks for a nice experience David and Daisy ‘Manchester, England

Good value for money. Stayed with my friends for four nights. Breakfast was not included but you got option to pay before you checked out and thats what we did. Good size room for three people. I got the separate room with separate TV. Bathroom was in good condition. Breakfast was very good with good selection. Juices, coffee, milk, hot food and cold meats and my favourite part were the pastries. Friendly and helpful staff. Room for improvement, pillows were too soft, I prefer a medium to firm pillows. Maybe a complimentary water would be nice especially if its warm outside. The sausages were on the bland side. Our stay were pleasant and convenient to any sight seeing locations.

We arrived early to the hotel but our bags were able to be left in a secure room while we went to the shopping mall for some lunch which was good. The room itself was spotless and the beds very comfortable. There was a nice balcony for some fresh air and a much appreciated bath for after a long days exploring! The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that goes on in the rooms around you but that seems to be a common thing in our experience of European hotels! The location is excellent, there is a taxi rank just around the corner from the hotel- a Mercadona, a launderette and a pizza takeaway a 5 minute walk away and a large mall about a 10/15 minute walk away just opposite the arts and sciences complex. A taxi in to town cost us around 7 euros. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and will definitely come back the next time we are in Valencia.

Family hotel so lots of children and also functions so presented itself as very busy as opposed to relaxing. The shower was powerful but very small. Some attention to cleaning the floor would be good.

Great hotel!

We were a little sceptical when booking due to some reviews and a few of the hotel pictures on expedia. And, in fairness, when we arrived outside the building we thought our fears were being confirmed. However! Inside the hotel is a different story. Our room was great. Very clean with everything we needed for a family of four (although there was a charge to use the safe, which is a bit stingy). The hotel reception was nice and modern and staff were very welcoming. We thought the pool would be pretty basic as the pics on expedia didn't look too great. Again, we were very pleasantly suprised to find it to be a lovely pool and never too busy. After finding our bearings in Valencia we convinced ourselves that we had made the right choice in boozing the Medium hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was always great too with very helpful and efficient staff.

All in all, highly recommended

Nice hotel but be aware about the pool!

We booked this hotel for the sole reason that it had a large pool. When we arrived we were pleased to see that it matched up to the pictures and was very large - however on our arrival there was a group of approximately 40 Spanish children with assistants/monitors supervising them who were all in the pool and therefore no-one else was able to swim. We asked if this was a timetabled thing and if there would be times that the pool was free. We were told there were no set times as the children had free use of the pool. The next day we brought this up again and were forwarded to the manager. Initially she told us that this was NOT a group of children, but just kids with their families staying in the hotel, and that it is summer time and what do we expect! When i then questioned why the children were with people with \"monitor\" written on their t-shirts, the story changed and she admitted that these were children of the college students next door, who get shared use of the pool. We later observed a desk by the pool where people would come in and pay daily to use the pool. This large group of children were there everyday and we had to work our use of the pool around them, which severely influenced the enjoyment of our holiday. There are no sun loungers and therefore we had to lie on the grass which is not exactly the comfort you expect on holiday!

Overall the hotel seemed reasonable, but be aware that the pool is shared with the neighbouring college (and all their children!

Lovely hotel located about 5 minute taxi ride from the main centre. Front desk staff excellent and polite. Room excellent and would definitely stay again as ticks all the right boxes. Only issue was with staff member in bar , as felt it was to much to ask for her to serve you, but let's put that down to her having a bad day

Not a bad place to stay. Breakfast in hotel was expensive but eating at one of the cafes nearby was much cheaper.
Beds not too comfortable. Missed tea and coffee facility in room. Cleaning staff and reception staff are excellent. Rooms cleaned regularly.

Will stay again if I go back to Valencia

nice hotel ! staff very professional and very kind! reception super( everybody and Vincente in particular) ! breakfast very tastful and complete! El cubanito Jorge was kind and careful and made breakfast ok! not close to the center but by bus only 15 minutes away from center! only bad smell from toilet first day was uncomfortable but solved the day after! i recommended it!

Fair hotel in a good location for the Arts and Sciences Park, but seems to be troubled with the drain smell that is prevalent in some areas of of Valencia, it was so bad in our first room that they moved us without question. The next room (actually a suite) was a bit noisy though. Staff are pleasant and efficient. This hotel has balconies on all rooms which is not common in the area.

Disappointing that there where no sun beds around the pool, people laid on their own towels on grass, which is fine for while, but not so relaxing ,chairs where available

Nice hotel close to museums & aquarium

Valencia is a beautiful city, the historic centre is amazing many streets lead to secluded squares with gorgeous fountains and plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by. Our hotel was close to the modern iconic architectural structures such as the museums and aquarium which must be seen. There is also a fabulous beach and marina about 8 miles from the town centre which should not be missed.
