Property is very well located if you’re looking to visit the city of arts and science. Not so close to downtown but taxis are not expensive, safe, and widely available. Property staff lacks empathy without being rude, just the minimum and gives the impression they don’t like tourists but they still work there. Regular rooms are just for 2 and we were 3. We had to insist on getting us a more comfortable room and finally got it with an extra charge.

The staff were extremely helpful. The
room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The shower ran hot then cold but that was all that needed attention. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of hot and cold food.

The hotel's location is between the old town and the beaches, but both are a 40-minute walk away. However, it's directly opposite the museums and the city park. The hotel is actually used more by business travelers, so there's a lot of coming and going, and the staff's attentiveness isn't particularly good. The room looked clean, but there was an unpleasant smell. There was also noise coming from the neighboring rooms. The view from the terrace bar is very nice. There are many different places to eat nearby, and the prices seem reasonable.

Fab views from rooftop bar but limited menu (no coffees, no espresso martini, etc). Overall I’d say more style than substance. Was ok for one night but not sure I’d rush back,

My room was exceptionally clean, and even though I only stayed for one night, I truly enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was great, offering plenty of delicious options to choose from.

Hotel was excellent. Rooftop bar very nice. Everything walkable if you dont mind doing loads of steps. If not no 19 bus went straight to the Old Town. Very clean, staff friendly and approachable. On the day of the half marathon breakfast opened early for the runners. On completion of marathon, the hotel gave runners free sweets, fruit and bottled water.

The sights were spectacular. Only thing restaurant choice not brilliant around the hotel

Great hotel in Valencia between the beach & Old Town, with the Turia on the doorstep making it easy to navigate Old Town.
Hotel is large, modern & airy. All the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. We ate in 3 of the restaurant recommendations they gave us - all superb!
We booked the ‘family plan room’ as we were 3 adults who all like a proper bed as we were there 4 nights. The pictures & description suggested this was one large room with a king & 2 x singles. This was not the case it is actually 2 interconnecting rooms, so although you got loads of space & twice as many bathrooms it’s not the same as all being in together somehow. We all commented that if we were a family with younger children we might not have been so happy as there are obviously 2 external doors plus the bathrooms were back to back in the middle so you are quite a long way away the bedrooms.
The other ‘challenge’ was that the bathrooms had no doors - all very open plan & glass screens so if you like privacy for your ablutions then this required a lot of shouting ‘all clear’ before exiting the bedroom area 😂. Separate toilets behind frosted glass were also not ideal for a friends group (or teenagers!).
I appreciate these sound like 2 big moans but we had a great stay, hotel is super comfy, convenient and I would recommend but I think the room description could be clearer & would love it if they put some doors on the bathroom! It gave us a funny memory of the trip!

Really nice hotel, good size room, good breakfast.

The bar was nice but kinda wanted something a bit more cozy at the end of long day, it had more of a night out feel rather than relaxing.

Staff were a bit varied, some were great & some didn’t seem happy, no one was rude which was the main thing.

Location is great for the park and beaches to the south of the city. It has a taxi rank. We used the hire bikes to cycle in the park. Someway from Old Town, but we liked that.
We noted the rooftop bar is super popular with locals, as we met many people in the lift.

Biggest complaint - the swimming pool is tiny! More of a plunge pool and is very busy.
Hotel decoration is rather bland, but these ate minor faults.

Beautiful, spotless hotel with polite staff and great housekeeping — rooms are immaculate and turn-down service is a nice touch.

Unfortunately, the service culture doesn’t match the price (€400/night without a balcony). The beach is 2.5 km away, not 500 m as advertised. Food and drinks at the beach take over an hour to arrive and are lukewarm. Breakfast doesn’t include omelettes or pancakes (extra charge), cocktails are €18–20, water €5/50cl, and every small request seems billable.

Transport costs are extreme: €60 return per person for a 1.9 km boat drop-off, and €130 for a 24 km airport transfer — claimed to be the “only option,” even though we arrived by regular taxi.

Cocktails were great when Bruno was working, otherwise sugary water. Food quality didn’t match the price. Overall, it felt like the focus was on squeezing every euro from guests rather than delivering a genuine 5-star experience.

We stayed in a family room with teenagers which worked really well. There were 2 large interconnecting rooms. The batrooms were odd as they didn’t have doors and the toilet door for one of them needed to be propped shut but apart from that really like the rooms. There was a fridge in each room and tea snd coffee facilities. You could hear the noise of traffic but it was not too bad. The bed must have been a super King - it was the biggest bed I have slept in. The other room had 2 singles. All were comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and worth having at least once.

We love Barcelo! We have stayed at several of their properties and they never disappoint. We stayed at the Valencia property and Toni (front desk staff member) was exemplary in his ability to demonstrate the highest level of customer service and consistently ensured our satisfaction throughout our stay. Toni extended us an upgrade without us having to ask. We will continue to make Barcelo our hotel of choice.

Spacious, comfortable rooms in a wonderful hotel in a great location. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Had an issue with disturbance from other guests during my stay but the staff were great in addressing and resolving this both during and after my stay. Would definitley reccomend this hotel, i will likely stay here again on my return to Valencia!

Would not recommend this hotel.
- The walls and doors are very thin so you can hear the people in the rooms beside you walking and blowing their nose.
- Outside noise also is present despite other hotels in the area not having the same issue.
- Elevators are very slow and do not move in logical ways. Expect to wait extended periods of time especially during busier hours.
- Starting to look dated

Other hotels in the area which are rated worse are actually much nicer such as the Innside by Melia.

We stayed over the Easter long weekend break. The location was perfect with bus and taxi stop right outside the hotel. Great dining choices near by. Amazing breakfast choices every day.
Great views from the rooftop bar over to the Science museum - which was in walking distance.
The staff were very friendly and helpful making you feel relaxed and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Valencia.

As soon as I checked in, there was a strong, unpleasant smell, and the floor was still wet. I immediately requested a room change, which they accommodated, but the new room had the same odor. I didn’t want to ask for another change, so I just stayed, but it seemed like the smell came from dirty mop water mixed with bleach.

The location was decent, and overall, the hotel was fine, but their response to this odor issue was disappointing. Also, as an Expedia Gold member, I was supposed to receive vip benefits, but there was no mention of this at check-in.

The rooftop bar had a great night view, but they only served drinks—no snacks—and it closed at 11:00 pm, so I’d recommend going early. Drinks were slightly pricier than nearby restaurants, but the atmosphere was nice. Overall, a few aspects were underwhelming.

Popped in to Valencia to explore at the weekend. My son is interested in attending Berklee and its in a great location. A 5 min walk from hotel Barcelo which had great spacious rooms. The breakfast was quite something and the staff are super friendly. The only knock was my water was barely warm in my shower. The rooftop deck provides a good view and a draught beer was 5 euro. Fun stay in a super clean hotel.
