Very nice hotel stay. The front desk staff and even the maid was super friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and modern. The location is a 15-20 minute walk from old town and so many other attractions. The room temps are controlled to a few degrees (19-21 C) so I just opened the patio door as too hot for me. The hot tub, sauna and steam room were all nice and clean as well. Safe for single travelers as well.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Hospes Palau de la Mar. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and professional. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

The hotel itself is elegant, perfectly located in the Ensanche district, and within walking distance to both the old town and Turia Gardens. The room was spacious, quiet, and beautifully designed with a blend of classic charm and modern comfort. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch.

We also enjoyed a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant, where both the food and the ambiance exceeded expectations. Breakfast was fresh, with a good variety and high quality.

Overall, it was a peaceful and luxurious experience. I highly recommend Hospes Palau de la Mar for anyone visiting Valencia looking for a refined and relaxing stay.

Everything was very comfortable. AC was fantastic during unseasonably hot weather. Only complaint was that doors to rooms closed very loudly so whenever someone left their room it made a lot of noise. Great location and we walked wherever we needed to. Hotel restaurant provided a nice dinner when we arrived the first night.

This is a great hotel ! Very peaceful and clean. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful ( particularly Jésus) . Good location. There are some renovations going on in the courtyard but they didn’t disturb us at all. The room layout is good.

This hotel is a total home run. We were leaving the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. On our way to Marbella. I needed an overnight stay. Who would've thought we would fall deeply in love with Valencia. This hotel has it all. It's adjacent to the park… It has a serviceable restaurant and a pleasant bar. The rooms are magnificent with a wonderful rainforest style shower and etc. The hotel staff are beyond pleasant… And we're willing to put up with my halting Spanish practicing since everyone speaks perfect English. They greeted us with a welcome drink in the courtyard and there's so many good restaurants just around the corner. If you want a reservation for diva do it in advance, but Mamma pasta was also spectacular and not terribly expensive. Walk just a little further when you're in the shopping district on Colon Street. Of the coastal cities we have visited so far in Spain this was by far the best night of our trip.

Great Location, Very Good Hotel, but not 5*

First point to make...it just doesn't look like or feel like 5* hotel. Hence felt a let down. However it doesn't mean the hotel is bad. It's very good indeed, just missing expected facilities like a proper pool. Pool is essentially a large jacuzzi.

Location of the hotel is brilliant though, it is great for walk in the city. Great restaurants around, good bars and clubs too.

Very good staff too. Very friendly. I got a free upgrade too, though my friend didn't. Rooms are fine too

Greatest let down, infact scarily too is the restaurant. They have a good looking tasting menu, but we're told that we needed to ask for it in advance of few hours. Was never mentioned before, pretty strange too. Next we ordered from the dinner menu. Starters were fine. Main course was dangerously poor. Ordered lamb but it was with hair and it seemed like the server knew it. He took it away immediately, it really annoyed me that I was served food that was known to be bad. I was offered duck as a replacement. That was even worse, it came grossly undercooked, it was rwa and red inside and with blood oozing out.

So, recommend not to try the restaurant, if you want to stay safe. Many good restaurants in walkable distance anyway.

The hotel was conveniently located 5 minutes walk from a metro station. Great looking building, staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast fantastic with lots of hot and cold options and even a cook to order menu.
An unexpected bonus was a free hour per day in the spa area to use the sauna and steam room.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hotel Hospes Palau De La Mar. From the moment we walked through its stunning doors, we knew our stay would be an extraordinary one, and it was! Front desk staff members were outstanding, so kind and helpful. The room was gorgeous, peaceful, and quiet! High praise for the housekeeping team.
We didn’t opt for breakfast every morning at the hotel but did enjoy it on an ad hoc basis. It was delicious, with a vast selection of beautiful foods, set in the hotel’s wonderful Ampar restaurant. The spa/gym facilities were perfect! The pool room downstairs hosts a warm and therapeutic compact pool with brilliant water jets, as well as a steam room and sauna. My children were also allowed to enjoy the pool, which was a real bonus.
The area is just stunning! The metro station Alameda is located just within the Turia Gardens park, right near the hotel. You’re also within walking distance of the beautiful Colon market where coffees, Orxata, and pastries await! There are so many fabulous restaurants and cafes around. As far as location goes, it’s heaven and you’re really spoiled for choice. My two kids (8 and 12) and I walked everywhere, using the Turia gardens as our most traveled pathway. The hotel’s location made exploring this glorious city so easy and such a joy! We had an utterly brilliant time!

A lovely hotel, the building is very beautiful. Very comfy bed, mattress excellent but for a five star hotel pillows could be better. Great shower, enough towels and toiletries and free mineral water and turn down chocolates.
It’s in a nice part of town and easily walkable to the Centre/ sites. But it is on a busy road so make sure you have ear plugs.
Spa was enjoyable and we also booked massages that were great (although pricey).
This was our second stay in a Hospes hotel and we were a little disappointed as we had had such an amazing time in their Alicante hotel. We didn’t expect to only get one hour in the spa (in Alicante we could use it endlessly) and staff weren’t as friendly - we had to ask about our complimentary bottle of wine and remind them to take the €20 euros off our massages (this was all taken care of in Alicante). We also hadn’t booked breakfast and it wasn’t offered to us when we arrived (we would have changed our minds and had it in the hotel - as it was we decided to go out every day instead)
We’d still try their other hotels though.

We got a suite that faced the \"courtyard\" which is overlooked by older residential buildings that just didn't give you the 5 star feel. The room was large but and nice enough but again just didn't feel luxurious. Just overall very disappointing for the price they charged.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they were absolutely wonderful. We stayed in the junior suite and it was a big space with great decor. The bath was a delight to use. The location was perfect as they had many restaurants and bars and not too far from the main attractions. The hotel restaurant food was excellent too. We would definitely like to stay again.

The staff are very helpful, friendly and always have a smile on their faces especially Chiara who helped us on several occasions.
The hotel is well situated for access to the Turia which is lovely to walk in as well as the rest of Valencia.
The breakfast is excellent, varied, plentiful and the majority of the food is covered. In fact there were high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel. We were also lucky enough to be upgraded (thank you very much for this, it was much appreciated)
Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or to return

Fantastic and a luxury hotel

It was amazing, after day trips..the Spa was useful to take away the aches..:) excellent service and very clean. It also has a peaceful patio garden where you can enjoy having a drink.
The only drawback for us was that our room was facing the patio where people sit or pass by and we couldn't draw back our curtains, so we couldn't see the daylight.

We arrived two hours before our check in time and our room was already ready for us. We were also offered a complimentary drink after we had unpacked in the courtyard.
Very friendly staff and superb location as you can walk everywhere, although we did take the metro to the beach one day.

The reception staff were very good but restaurant staff were not very good some might say rude with exception of one male member of staff which was excellent ( sorry didn’t get his name) We felt in the way and service was definitely not 5 star service.
Location was very good and close to Plaza de Reina.
Rooms very nice but could have been cleaner again not 5 star standard.

Beautiful hotel in a unique building. Outside area and spa is pretty cool. The little bar area has great food as they seem to be tied to the onsite restaurant which is highly rated. The spa services were ok, not the best I’ve had, but reasonably priced.

Hotel agent went above and beyond….

We arrived in Valencia after staying in the countryside where my son had a bicycle accident and possibly a broken hand. Being Americans traveling in Spain – we had no idea where to go. I asked Francesco, our check in agent, about the closest urgent care. He sprang into action understanding our problem and providing his name and phone number so we could call if our we needed a translator. He also instructed the taxi driver to bring us right to emergency. The cab driver almost drove us through the front door – he took the instruction so seriously. Felt a little funny getting out without a life threatening injury. We were in and out of the emergency in 45 minutes – just a minor inconvenience. I cannot thank Francesco enough. He made our stay in Valencia and at your hotel much more enjoyable in a very unconventional way!!

The room had very modern decor and storage was a little tough, but we settled in.
The only thing that I didn’t really love was the location of our room-1st floor right above the restaurant’s outdoor seating. One night the restaurant customers kept me awake until 2.

It was the 2nd time I stayed in this hotel. The personal is very nice. I send here my special thanks to Belén Garcia!! I forgot a bag with my wallet in it and she informed me right away! As I was already at the airport, she sent everything to my place. Thank you Belén!! Next time I come to Valencia I will for sure stay at Hospes Palau de la Mar!!!
