Room smelled of sewage, staff denied it was a known issue (however other reviews of the same room - Room 100 - outline the same problem). As a result we had a terrible night's sleep and were both vomiting from the smell.

I will try to stay as objective as possible, because it has one of the worst hotel stays I have experienced. We booked three rooms.

Service:
One of the rooms smelled strongly of wastewater.
We complained, and the only option offered was a smaller downgrade room. Unfortunately, that room also smelled (though not as severely). Since management was absent and the hotel was fully booked, the receptionist could only provide that solution. She mentioned that Valencia has pipe issues. As a compensation, they offered free breakfast (which I did not use or care for) along with the downgrade.

The receptionist and maintenance staff were polite and tried to help, but they were not equipped or supported by management.
Service rating: 1/5 (one point only for their kindness).
Problem resolution rating: 0/5.

Facilities:

The building was separate from the main reception, requiring check-in elsewhere.
Lobby lights switched off automatically if you sat still.
Rooms looked decent at first glance, but the wastewater odor ruined the experience. The other two rooms (out of three) were fine.

Location:
Excellent location. No complaints here.

Cleanliness:
The rooms were clean overall, aside from the odor and some dust in the vents.

Noise Levels:
Very noisy. In the downgrade room, I could clearly hear the street noise. This could be improved.

Air Conditioning:
It's okay. Could be better. Lower temp is 68 degrees farenheit.

Overall: There are better options in the location. Do not book here.

The hotel was wonderful.

Our flight was delayed and the staff were great about our late arrival.
My husband’s bag was also delayed and the Reception staff were very supportive about helping us to get it delivered to the hotel.

Lovely room with a little balcony overlooking a quiet street.

Great location!
Recommend having a Mojito at Cool - the small bar across the road from Hotel SH Ingles (Reception). Also, some great restaurants in the area - we loved the food at Espurnes.

Great location, clean and spacious room!

Right in the heart of Valencia. Easy to walk almost anywhere you wanted to see. Room was clean and spacious, had 3 terraces. Air conditioning worked well, fridge in room, comfortable bed and a safe location. Priced well based on comparable options, would definitely stay here again!

I enjoyed my small suite as the size was just right and there were places to sit besides the bed. The bathroom was also very well designed. The location was very central to the places to visit. I really liked the breakfast too.

Incredible location. Truly super close to the heart of downtown Valencia.
You can easily walk to the Central Market, Cathedral and all the main sights to see.
Nice breakfast buffet with great service.

Probably one of the best check in experiences I’ve had, Rosa was so helpful.

Room was spacious, nicely decorated in fresh, villa style.

Just be aware that there is a separate location for Suite Palace and Ingles, with the former being separate from the main lobby and restaurant.

Very convenient, 2 mins from placa real. \"Annex\" of hotel round corner, so effectively 24 hour, very helpful, reception.. All mod cons, safe, functioning air con,coffee machine(but only 4 pods). Lots of towels. Great shower.

Noisy smelly room

This was a super small room. The worst part was that bath and bedroom smelled from sewer as pljmbing was clearly not correct. One time room not cleaned. I slept on lowest floor,people walking in front of room, oitside on street! And outsdie in hotel. . Noisy. All the shower water and other bathroom water came through a pie in wall in room and you hear it all the time.
Super noisy smelly room. Definitely not worth the 4 stars and the price way less. AC was impossible to get to work.

This hotel is a sister to the larger hotel 1/2 block away on the main street. This building is set back from the street in a cute, quiet little plaza off the main street. Room was renovated and lovely, but stairs and entrance were minimally renovated and had a weird odor. Room was rather tight, with the bed taking up most of the space. Mini-bar snacks on one bedside table prevented use for anything else.

Really a nice hotel, I wanted a base in central Valencia for sight seeing, this hotel is mins from several bus stops, 10 mins from the tram line to the airport, withing walking distance of the main sights. The staff were super friendly checking in, the breakfast staff and the bar staff also really nice. The reception and breakfast is at the sister hotel around the corner however it really is no more than 100m around the corner so this was no inconvenience at all. I thoroughly enjoyed my week there.

Property is centrally located, within walking distance to the city center. Room was really clean. The breakfast included was also nice and convenient. The only drawback is that the front desk is located at an affiliated hotel about a block from the building, but it was not a major problem. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend it.

This was not what we expected. This was more of an apartment room than a hotel room. At check in , the receptionist looked at us, guessed, and noted a totally wrong nationality, even after we produced our passports. This should never happen, as in case of an emergency, one needs to inform the correct embassy. Then she walked out and showed us the way to go to the place. We had to walk around rather an unclean ally to get to the place. Lobby was empty and uninviting. We were struggling to find the room. Room was ok. Looked like it was newly refurbished. Still had construction dust. Thankfully it was just two nights and we were glad to leave to our next destination. We were surprised with this stay, because all of our other stays in all other hotels Spain had been just excellent.

Infelizmente nao foi tao bom como da primeira vez. Nosso lençol estava \"furado\" (não é o que se espera de um hotel), o ar condicionado desarmava durante a noite (aparentemente tinha um timer), e no ultimo dia da estadia o nosso quarto foi tomado por um cheiro de cigarro forte vindo do corredor, que percebemos desde o elevador e impregnou o nosso banheiro, provavelmente pelo sistema de exaustão. Uma pena, o hotel tem potencial e excelente ponto, essa é a segunda vez que me hospedei lá inclusive. Mas gostaria de destacar a cordialidade do atendimento da recepção.
