Staff: friendly and welcoming at front desk, good impression.
Single room: clean, everything necessary, bed, desk & chair, wardrobe space, TV working, bedside table.
Mattress comfortable, choice of soft/firm pillows, clean linen. Own bathroom; spotless, small bath, shower, toilet, sink, well-lit.
Temperature comfortable. Little noise from corridors at night, despite children staying at the hotel. Good night's sleep.
Breakfast in a beautiful, light-filled room overlooking the main square. Excellent choice of hot or cold foods and drinks, yoghurts, self-service buffet.
Overall a very comfortable, surprisingly quiet (end of January) and pleasant place to stay, with an incredibly central location.
Would definitely repeat if in Valencia again!

Staff allowed me to check in early, which was really nice. Unfortunately while the room was large and pleasant, it was one floor up from the main street and really loud. Around 10pm I went to the reception to ask to change, and was told there were no other rooms to move to. The receptionist said it would soon get quieter, but this was untrue, both because of the street and the fact he was talking and laughing loudly with a guest.
I checked and discovered it was also untrue that there was not another room to move to and went back down to remonstrate. He then changed excuse and said he would not be able to rent out my room anymore. I explained, that in fact he could as it would just mean emptying the litter bin as I hadn't use the bed.
Fortunately, a colleague agreed to switch me with the caveat that the other room was far more basic. I took it as it was quieter, but when I suggested the next day that the hotel split the difference in price, they refused.
The breakfast isn't particularly great and in an area known for producing oranges, they serve disgusting juice.

The hotel is in an excellent location! You can walk to many attractions and restaurants.
The hotel is clean and the staff is very helpful!
If you have a room facing the plaza, just be aware that it will get the afternoon sun and the room can get warm so just have the curtains drawn.

Positives, Location fantastic, lovely staff and clean. If booking as a family I would go for the exterior rooms and pay a little more as the interior room (201) we stayed in was small and tired. Bathroom looked like it had been installed a good 20 years ago. If I am honest I found the pictures that Hotels.com has used pretty misleading. They all show big rooms with modern bathrooms. As you will see from the pictures taken this wasn’t what we were offered. As £330 a night it was very overpriced. I did ask the hotel if we could move but no availability. Friends stayed in an exterior room and it was big and modern bathroom, so I expect that the hotel is slowly renovating its rooms. Made me realise not to trust booking site and do further research before the next trip.

Good hotel in a great location

Hotel was centrally located in the heart of the city and easy to find, 5 mins walk up from the metro station straight from the airport. Best thing about this hotel was the breakfast and the staff - especially the girls who worked on the reception. Bags could be stored after checkout if you had a late flight too.

his place is an absolute dump. The only good thing about it is the location—it’s fantastic. Beyond that, everything else is a disappointment. The hotel is dirty, the rooms are small, and even though the front desk staff are polite and try to help, switching rooms doesn’t improve anything—they’re all in the same poor condition.

I’ve been using Expedia for years, but after this experience, I’ll be booking elsewhere. It’s honestly unbelievable that Expedia would rate this property as “excellent.” That kind of rating is completely misleading. You really need to inspect the hotels you promote before labeling them so highly. This one was an absolute letdown from start to finish.

The hotel's location was excellent and walkable to the city's main attractions.
Although we expected art deco bedrooms, we found ours not restful or condusive to sleep with abstract paintings of a bleeding bull and bullfighter. Staff were pleasant but the late night street noise below, especially Saturday, prevented a good night's sleep.
The lift is far too small for the size of the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casual Vintage Valencia. The hotel is set in an old building right in the center, so everything is within walking distance. We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade, and the view from our room was just perfect.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which added to the charm. The place itself has a cozy, slightly quirky vibe that makes it fun and memorable. The king bed was very comfortable, and waking up to that view was a highlight.

A small tip: skip their breakfast. There are plenty of great cafés and bakeries just around the corner, so you’ll get a much more authentic start to your day outside. Also, don’t expect a minibar or fridge in the room—though honestly, with the location and comfort, it didn’t feel like a big deal.

Bang in the centre of Valencia - parking is tricky if you are driving, ten mins away .
Couldn’t get a better location - 8 min walk to the Cathedral .

Breakfast was brilliant- great choice of hot and cold .
Not the smartest plushest place but it was clean - had good showers and great air con . Beds and pillows were good quality

The noise was ridiculous I know it's busy and in the city but I have stayed in so many hotels across Spain and this the worst experience I have had . The noise outside and inside was just too loud ti sleep even with headphones. Also the first time I have ever been asked to leave a deposit for use of a kettle very poor.

Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Unsanitary Condition at Casual Vintage Valencia Hotel

Dear Hotels.com Customer Service,

I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding my recent stay at Casual Vintage Valencia Hotel, booked through your platform.

Shortly after checking into my room, I was shocked to find a large cockroach crawling on the floor (see attached photo, taken after I had to kill it myself). I immediately informed the hotel staff. However, I was told that there were no alternative rooms available, and all they could offer was a complimentary breakfast, which I declined as I felt uncomfortable eating at the same facility after such an incident.

This situation caused me significant distress. I could not sleep properly, fearing there might be more insects in the room. The presence of a cockroach strongly suggests a hygiene and pest control issue, which is completely unacceptable for any accommodation listed on your site.

I am requesting:
•A formal investigation into the hygiene practices at this property.
•A partial or full refund for this unacceptable experience.
•That this incident be noted for future guests’ awareness.

I can provide any further documentation if necessary. Thank you for your assistance.

The location is great. The hotel is really vintage. It’s fine for one night stay but not for a long trip. The Front Desk is friendly and helpful. The one thing I had a problem is the air conditioner is not getting cold. It’s in high still nothing. It’s a good thing we only stayed one night. Overall rating it’s fine.

Affordable hotel in the middle of everything

Hotel is in middle of everything so location is excellent. The profile photo is NOT of the hotel itself, but the view from the balcony. The hotel itself is nothing fancy. It was clean but signs of wear are showing (peeling wallpaper, floor tiles lifting in bathroom) Beds were comfortable and balcony view is just as the profile pic. Service was excellent. Good place for short stays. Can't complain for the price. Be sure to catch the Flamenco performances a couple of blocks away in a local club.

On the Plus side, perfect location to enjoy central Valencia. On the Minus side, there is a difference between a vintage look and a rundown vintage condition. We had to beg for a nightstand lamp. The sink was clogged. Burned lightbulbs. Unkept condition. Obviously, lack of quality control.

Great location, wonderful friendly & quirky hotel

We have stayed here once before and chose to go again due to its position and that it is quirky not the usual run of the mill. We had a very good room which had a lounge and separate bedroom both which were large and also had a very large balcony with excellent views of the city. We added breakfast to our room rate and it was an excellent move as the choice and quality were very good. Staff are great - friendly and helpful. All in all a great choice and we would stay again and recommend it. One point to consider is that the corridors to the rooms are narrow and the lift is tiny. One thing that would enhance my stay would be a kettle or coffee maker in the room, By the way, wonderful toiletries in the room which we appreciated.

The only issue was noise. placed on the same Floor as breakfast area and each time a chair moved, it would echo in the room somehow quite amplified . As well as screaming kids , parents yelling to discipline stomping above my head. The front desk reassured me that if noise persisted after 10 pm they would address it.my suggestion would be to put single people on higher floors, and families below. Staff super friendly, helpful, spoke English which was a benefit to me. Location was perfect.

Perfect location in Valencia! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I only deducted a star on comfort because it was so hot and we weren’t able to adjust the temperature. I would stay again and maybe request a fan 😊

The desk staff are amazing! The location is right smack dab in the middle of everything you want to see in the old city and the oceanografic and the beach are easy bus rides away. One minor issue was that a previous guest had caused a lot of water damage in and around the bathroom and it needs to be repaired. Also, the elevator is insufficient for the number of rooms at the property.

We’d booked this hotel based on the views it has and location and were very lucky to be allocated one of the rooms with the stunning view! The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel runs a lovely free gimmick where they give you a postcard to write to yourself and they’ll post it back to you on a date of your choice in up to a year’s time. We didn’t book breakfast, preferring to pick up a coffee and pastry whilst out and about. The hotel is really well situated for the metro, airport and general exploration. We also walked to the zoo, went to the beach and aquarium - all well worth a visit. Our hotel room was clean and tidy and the shower was really big. Windows took up a large section of one wall so the room was light, airy and we had a wonderful view.
The only issue we had (which is not the hotel’s fault at all) is that during the night, it seems that drunk people like to walk across the big open plaza outside the hotel and shout stupid things as loudly as they can. We experienced this several times on two out of the four nights we were there (Thursday and Friday) between 1am and 5am which woke us up a few times. Again, this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but it obviously did affect our overall enjoyment of the stay.
We did have a wonderful time in Valencia and in all other aspects, we can’t fault our time there. Don’t let the drunken idiots put you off, but maybe pack some ear plugs just in case :-)

The staff were friendly and welcoming and I really liked the decor and the individuality of each room. I particularly liked looking over the plaza from the balcony. The room was spacious and clean, and I liked the attention to detail. The area felt completely safe (I was travelling alone) and close to all of the main tourist areas, with cafes, shops, and restaurants on your doorstep.
Only some very slight gripes…I booked a room with a balcony and, although it was lovely, it wasn’t one of the large rooms with the wrap-around windows/balcony that are used to advertise this standard of room. I’m not sure whether these are the rooms to accommodate more people. There was no mini fridge or coffee maker in the room and the soundproofing in the rooms wasn’t great but I was lucky as people in neighbouring rooms were quiet.
As long as you go with these things in mind, you’ll be fine. I would stay there again.
