This hostel is fine for a night or two, not very clean, bedrooms are kind of set up awkwardly, but the lockers are big enough for all your stuff. The bathrooms weren’t the cleanest and the walls were a bit dirty in my room, but all areas just seemed a bit grimey.

Best hostel in Valencia
I stayed at multiple hostels in Valencia and this was by far the best. It was SO comfortable. Rooms were spacious. They also were set up in a way with lots of corridors sort of so you really didn’t even see most of the people in your room! Lots of privacy. Plus curtains on the beds, plugs and lights by every bed. You get your own drawer under your bed for your stuff. The bathrooms were FAB! Spacious. Nice showers (HUGE) with great hot water and water pressure. Blow dryers and even hair straighteners were provided! I took one of the best showers in my life and had great hair afterwards. It was such a nice reset when traveling for so long. The kitchen snd lounge area is great snd they even have snacks and ice cream and little conveniences for sale do you didn’t have to go out if you needed something like that. Overall, fantastic!

I've been to many hostels and I liked this one very much. The staff are nice and the beds have their own curtain and locker. Also there are enough toilets and showers, so you never have to wait for using them. However, the only negative I found is there is no aircon in the toilets area, so in summer you get to sweat a lot when you go there (in the rooms the aircon is perfect).

We booked this hostel in advance and when we arrived, they had overbooked. They did accommodate us at a different hostel nearby which was nice. I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels and this definitely ranks at the top. The staff are friendly, the building is beautiful and old but modern inside, they have a great public area, and all their amenities are fully up to standard. They were happy to provide extra blankets and even have personal electric fans upon request. The bathrooms are cleaned twice a day and overall everything is tidy and clean. They have lots of excursions like free walking tours, a pub crawl, and a tapas tour. They provide a wonderful breakfast spread (fruit, eggs, various types of bread, yoghurt, tomatoes, meats, and cheese) as well as free dinner a few days a week and paella on Saturday’s. They even have bike rentals! This is by far the most comfortable hostel I’ve stayed in for a long time, and would definitely go back. Great location too!

Nice location close to the old city centre and Turia Gardens and about 20 minute walk to the main train station. Excellent breakfast with ample choice. Nice lounge area to socialise, have a beer and relax. Free walking tours and bike hire available. Shower rooms and toilets clean. Each bed has a curtain and it's own light and plug socket for privacy and a large storage box to lock away personal belongings. Room quite hot in summer so had fans and kept windows open but wasn't overly noisy. Excellent value for money.

All ok, great area, ten minute walk to lots of restaurants and architecture, buses outside, could do with some more air conditioning in the mid summer, staff are very efficient and friendly, yes I would return. WIFI very good and free.

The reception was friendly and helpful. The bar-dining area was a great place to meet and greet. They host game nights, watch movies and do other activities. Breakfast can be included in the price, but you can also buy other meals from them - I tried the paella and it was delicious! The beds were clean and comfy, so were the rooms and the bathrooms. The wifi is actually working! One night a roommate left the light on and another night another roommate was packing his things at 3 am, but that's not the hostel's fault, such things are to be expected in hostels, and they also suggest you tell the reception of such cases. They are serious with silence matters and they may even call the police. You can rent a bike from them for just 9 euros. Location 10 mins from the main square and cathedral, very beautiful next to the dried river Turia which is turned into a lovely park. Join the free tour, it's really worth it!

A good spot, a bit of a ways from the beach but we managed. The breakfast selection was worth it and pay ahead when you check in to save you a euro. I was a little confused by the process, I had pre payed for the room but when I arrived they didn't have the payment yet and had to charge Expedia with a provided credit card. It wasn't explained very well at the time but clarified later, however I feel like that's a silly part on the hotels.com end. My sister and I are backpacking and while booking we had quite a few places where there was no option to pay ahead of time and wondering why that wasn't the case at this hotel? Would have saved a lot of confusion and a good hour or two where I was concerned that I was charged twice before it was clarified. Also, a warning if you have a phobia of ants... the room we stayed in had these foot sized ant stickers all along the wall! One of those quirks...

A great hostel with multilingual staff. The in-room safe is really big and can contain practically all of your belongings if you wish. The free Walking Tour was amazing, and I highly recommend it. The breakfast was great. (They had hard-boiled eggs, too, which I did not expect.) The staff is really helpful and gives you all the information you need about tourism, restaurants, shopping, and so on.

I was looking for a cheap room near the old city in Valencia & the River Hostal was ideal. The location is excellent, across from the Jardi del Turia & less than 5 mins from the cathedral. The room was basic, but clean & comfortable, with decent wi-fi. There was a bit of road noise during the day, but the shutters ensured good sleep at night. I wouldn't hesitate to book it again if I was travelling alone.

We arrived and they had no room for us. Somehow they never got our reservation. They helped us find another place to stay since we had our confirmation email.

Reading the feed back before finally booking gave me awareness of possible noise in the night problems, so I packed ear plugs. Hate using them and managed most nights not to. Great bunch of people there as guests and staff whilst I was there. WiFi was good and available 24/7 in the public areas as well as the rooms.
I was not looking forward to dormitory life, but it was much better than I feared it would be. The boxes under the beds, for stowing ones stuff in, were bigger than I expected; they took my in-cabin size suitcase on wheels without problem and space to spare. For those traveling with more/larger luggage there is a 'safe room' set aside in front of reception at no additional cost; here one can also get a free deposit box.

It is in the heart of old Valencia. The staff very very friendly and polite. The whole place was cleaner than a Hilton. That showers and bathroom was spot clean and water pressure like a water fall. if I could I would stay there for a month.

A equipe é super simpática e prestativa. A estrutura do hostel é boa, só os banheiros deixam a desejar. Os chuveiros estão com os buraquinhos de saída de água entupidos, então é aquele chuveiro que não cai água no meio e você precisa catar os pingos das pontas. Nos quartos, os aparelhos de ar condicionado não dão vazão e, nossa dias mais quentes, é incômodo dormir mesmo com os ventiladores que também estão instalados. No café da manhã, muitos utensílios estavam sujos.

Zimmer sind leider nicht so wie auf den Abbildungen, nicht alle Betten haben einen Vorhang, die Temperatur ließ sich nicht regeln, bei offenem Fenster war es sehr laut. Sauberkeit der Toiletten sehr gut, in der Ecke wo die Matratze lag, war es etwas schmutzig. Kissen zu dick und hart.

J’ai séjourné dans l’auberge du vendredi 12/01 au lundi 15/01 en sachant que je suis arriver vers minuit. L’auberge est très très bien située, le personnel à l’accueil est super aussi ainsi que le petit déjeuner qui était très bien. Parlons maintenant des choses qui fâche, j’étais dans un dortoir de fille dans une chambre de 8 lits et la chambre était vraiment sombre, je ne sais pas si c’était du que la seul fenêtres et que à chaque fois je suis rentrée elle était fermer. Il n’y avait pas de miroir ou d’étagère ou posé nos truc, pas de table avec deux chaise comme dans tous les auberge que j’ai été. Pour mettre ses chaussures pas facile sans chaises. Alors en ce qui concernent les douches et toilettes l’entretien dois vraiment être revues car vraiment pas propre. Une personne que je rencontrée au petit déjeuner qui restais jusque au vendredi suivant réfléchissait à changer d’auberge à cause de cela. C’est la première fois que je vais dans une auberge et que j’ai cette expérience la. Malheureusement ce n’est pas un endroit dont j’ai envie de revenir.

This hostel has great common areas so people were using them alot which made it a very social hostel (with some activities). I really enjoyed that.
The rooms very fine - I have nothing bad to say about them. They had what I needed. The bathfacilities were also fine.
The staff was really friendly and understanding.
The location of the hostel is very good.
The only unfortunate situationen was, that the place was under renovation when I was there - but thats only good for future travellers cause then the place will be even better.
