I booked a premier city view but I was given a building view. When I called the front desk, I was told that that’s the only room available, and their city view is residential view. The bathroom is a complete disaster! The tub is extremely high and it’s only halfway covered, so water is all over the floor. Just have to be extra cautious when stepping out the tub. You can only plug in the iron where the coffee maker at, which doesn’t makes sense coz there’s no table to iron the clothes.

I booked this property for an overnight “staycation” with my nephew and his family; we had 3 small children with us; I booked three premier rooms that were well appointed, with our room facing the ocean; the property delivered five-star quality service and ticked all the boxes for a five-star resort-hotel on the island of Mactan; aqua park was a big plus for the kids and the rooftop bar a bonus for the adults; we had a ball swimming, kayaking, dining and drinking cocktails; I highly recommend Solea Resorts considering that accommodation cost is affordable and will not break the bank!

Pros: Great and friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet. Our room is cleaned well. There is an in-house guest shuttle service going to and from Pueblo Verde Outlets and SM Seaside.

Cons: Check-in process takes awhile but the check out is easy. Some areas like outdoor’s big round table needs repair. You can see the wrinkling of the wood from being wet.

The Palm building was flooded (from top water flowing thru the walls and down the stairs) during the storm. Our room had mold. Requested to be moved but the supervisor on duty refused and lied about the conditions of the other buildings and other rooms. The day after the storm was chaotic but management did their best to move us to the main building with functioning light and elevators. Despite being under staffed, the service remained friendly and courteous.

Overall it was okay. Pool areas nice, even some under reconstruction. But that was mentioned on Homepage.
Staff friendly as usual.
However, mid-Management needs to gear up. Plenty of small issues all ocer, which should not occur in a Hotel as this. It would be easy to fix - teach personnel is fine, bonding of staff event is fine, but when you twach = you have to supervise and control!
But overall a good relaxing stay.

We had a great stay at Solea! The room was spacious and comfortable, and we especially loved the beautiful view. The food was also really good, which made our experience even more enjoyable.

However, the only downside was that the morning after our first night, we noticed a lot of water dripping from the air conditioner, so much that it became quite inconvenient. Hopefully this can be fixed soon, as everything else about our stay was wonderful.

The amenities were so nice and the pool was so huge kids can really enjoy it! Their food buffet was also really good! Room a bit pricey they charge additional for my 4th kid coz he is 15. Excellent staff so helpful! The only cons is that the room was not properly clean, the hair dryer is not working at all and the AC is leaking water to the floor.

Having many pools for the kids were awesome. Our room toilet bidet gun had no holster, so it hung on the floor inconveniently. The concierge desk got me a taxi that did not use a meter and overcharged me for a ride to the airport. I had to contact MCIAA to complain.

A lot of options in terms of what to do in the property. They have multiple pools and an inflatable obstacle course. The beach area is well maintained and they have a decent size beach front compared to other resorts in the area. The buffet is great they have good selections of food ranging from Filipino , Korean, American food etc… The room price is very competitive if not one of the most affordable in the area.

We chose Solea because we were visiting relatives that live nearby. We didn’t come for the water park facilities but my children enjoyed the infinity pool and the beach. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day. Our room faced the adjacent neighborhood so we were serenaded by bad karaoke in the evening and roosters crowing in the morning. It didn’t bother us. We knew it was all part of the experience.

Check in experience was not good. Line was very long but only 2 counters were available. Then our room was not ready and we waited for nore than one hour then we had to line up again to get our room key. And because this was a Saturday - the whole resort was like a marketplace - very noisy and chaotic. When we got to our room - you can still hear the noise from the pool area. It was too NOISY! Not ideal at all. Breakfast line was also very long - well only one restaurant for whole resort.

Last time I stayed there it was great, had so much fun with the family. This time I notice that the cleanliness of the facility needs some action. The inflatable was dirty and smelly in some parts of it, garbage from the 3rd floor by the elevator was smelly then some parts where the sewage was smells as well. Saw a small roach at the buffet and the bathroom doesn’t have mats, they only give 2 towels that’s it, no hand towel or face towel. It gets slippery which is very dangerous. I wish they’ll take care of the issues coz it’s really a great place for families to bond. Anyways the staff were all so friendly and helpful!

The property was located very remotely. The area surrounding it was very poor and there was nothing to do around the hotel. In the \"city view\" room I was given you heard roosters ALL DAY long!! I ended up upgrading my room so as not to go insane. The rooms themselves could use a deep cleaning. The bathroom configuration was strange and dangerous if you were not steady on your feet.
The food was good and the staff were very kind.

Solea has a lot to offer and also expensive. They would not allow anybody in your room to visit. They want you to pay 2,500 per head even though I told them I just want my sister to watch my infant so we can get a massage. They have strict policy and we end up not getting a massage.

Beautiful resort with numerous pools to choose from.
The restaurant was great with plenty of entree options for breakfast and dinner. The rooftop restaurant offered a wonderful view of the city at night and even more scenic ocean view at sunset. The staff are great; professional, uniformed, and assistive to the customer's needs.
My only complaint is the cosmetics of the rooms. Some of the mirrors look very old and peeling. Some of the caulk in the bathrooms are also peeling. Overall, the hotel is wonderful and would recommend to anyone wanting a secluded location.

I was disappointed at the frontdesk as soon as I checked in.There was nonline at all but both frontdesks were looking down not checking almost ignoring me on the line.Their website does not work so I booked with Expedia.They asked for the email confirmation from Expedia so I showed the expedia app but that wasn’t enough she had me pull the email so I did as if I had no reservation or they never received the reservation from Expedia. I asked to be upgraded but for some reason it took them a while to figure out that there wasn’t any available so I decided to add a room so there were 4 adults and 2 toddlers but I was only given two waterpark tickets which I do not understand so I asked her how is that possible because I can’t just leave a 4 and 2 year old on their own so she said you have to pay extra 600 php or take one kid at a time like what???!!
The rooms were so basic it does not even have a usb charger, the rfloors were sticky like it wasn’t mopped.One of the rooms has very bad cable signal, it was in and out of cable the chanels were so pixelated.The breakfast was so chaotic! We asked for bottled water and we were told to buy outside where they sell popcorn rightoutside the restaurant but we ate at 7 so it was still closed. This hotel is too expensive for what it can offer on top of that the staff I dealt with meh! Never coming back and I do not recommend the property!

Plenty of pools for the adults and kids. There inflatable water park looked like fun but wasn’t for us. I wouldn’t recommend for an older person. There is construction going on a new addition to the water park which will be nice upon completion. Beach disappointment, hot water in your room only early in morning or late at night. My reservation was for 3 people, only gave 2 towels. No hand towels or wash clothes. The food had a very good variety but for me wasn’t anything I would write home about. The free breakfast was pretty good but very over priced for dinner and not worth it in my opinion. My hamburger was not cooked and the bacon was not cooked either. Watch your step on the wet tiles. You can very easily slip and fall. One last thing. They offer shuttle service to pick you up at airport. But they don’t offer a shuttle return trip to airport. Taxi only and an extra 100 peso for taxi to come to resort. Every time taxi ride was different price. I took a taxi from airport. I don’t advise this. Arrange for a shuttle. When we tried to get a taxi all the drivers played dumb and said they didn’t know where resort was. I think about the 8th taxi took us. Of course he could have taken us a shorter route but still only cost us 360 php Trip from resort to airport cost us 600 php. So beware of taxi cab drivers. Always ask how much first. All in all enjoyed our stay, just not the food or transportation to and from. Won’t stay again.

The room I booked was a suite supposedly 1 King bed and 2 Twin beds, however, we ended up getting a 1 king bed and a sofa bed. When we saw the room situation, I honestly felt embarrassed to my family. I didn’t complain and just tried to enjoy our stay anyway.

I recently stayed 5 nights at you resort in Mactan Cebu and was pleasantly surprised with the facilities.

It has a good atmosphere, clean, well organized and the pools were clean.

I can't say enough about how friendly and accommodating your staff members were, they went well and above beyond what i expected.

While i was staying i visited several different tourist sites and shopping facilities including different restaurants and i have to admit that the Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at your resort were somewhat disappointing, the food was generally cold and the selection was at a minimal compared to other restaurants i visited and your pricing is also almost double what it is in a good restaurant that has much more variety not to mention the food would be hot.

Other that that i was very satisfied with the resort.

We absolutely loved this resort !! Check in was great Joann was very friendly and informative. The property is very well kept and looks incredible. Many pools , waterslides, daycare, children's pool, the view from the 8th floor is breathtaking. The dinner buffet was huge and the staff was great. Or server was Nestirio Zafra. He was so good with our 3 year old giving her ice cream and other snacks. The next morning we were sad to have to checkout but we did go for the breakfast buffet and it was also very huge serving American and Filipino dishes. I will rate this hotel 5 stars !!!! And will definitely return.

The absolute best parts about Solea are the friendly staff and fun inflatable water park which my children enjoyed immensely. Food is very average and if you do not have the buffet breakfast included in your room, you may as well go hungry every morning because the slim offerings a la carte are way overpriced and come out cold. The buffet breakfast to purchase is about 18 USD per person!! so we had a hard time justifying this since it was nothing special. In other words, do your best to have the buffet included in your room price. The dinner buffet is better, but still very average and overpriced. The first room we were put in was on the 2nd floor next to the elevator and with a 'city view'. The elevator kept us awake most of the night followed by the rooster below our window that began crowing at 3AM. We paid an astounding 280 USD per night and so I lodged a complaint. We were moved to a similar room with ocean views but on the 7th floor which was much better for the lack of rooster noise but we were still right next to the elevator. Oh well. it was better at least. That was until we realized that we could not get water from our shower for most of the day. Not a drip. For 6 days. Then there was the rooftop lounge right above us that had the staff rearranging the furniture every night at 12:45 AM for 20 minutes. Scraping and squeaking away until we were all wide awake. I could go on. Avoid this place if you want any sleep. Go anywhere else and get a day pass for the park.

We had two reservations. One is a suite which they insisted that ONLY TWO PERSON ONLY. That room is supposed to be for 4PERSON. They asked us to pay extra. Btw, EVERYTHING IS EXTRA MONEY, NO MORE EXCITEMENT FOR THE GUESTS TO ENJOY THE HOTEL. The second room that we booked is with the balcony(clearly stated on the reservation) but the front office lady gave us different room. They gave us one without balcony and we asked to have the room we reserved. The FO said we have to have extra. SERIOUSLY? We booked with the balcony and we don’t get it. After we settle check in, we had friends that is going to drop us off, they all came with us inside the room, then FO called saying we need to charge you since there’s more people going to your rooms. This is very disrespectful!! When we were checking out they said have a seat and we’ll let you know, after 10mins no one did, we had to approach them to ask if we can have our 4,000 deposit! They said “Oh yea your room is good.” They said there going to let us know but they never did. We’ve been staying in different hotels and this one is the worst. No care about guests, they want money.

Be careful.

We visited Cebu Philippines and checked in for 3 rooms all in all and thats for 2 nights since we have guests (friends and family). After the first night they said they will charge us for the extra person that stayed the night which is the just the nanny. The second day they said they will charge us 400 php for that 1 missing towel.? what are we going to do with that towel? Also, we had 3 rooms checked Im sure that towel was just misplaced.. We will never come back here. Very disappointed.

The area around this place isn’t very nice and ur far away from even the most basic of shops. Not ideal for the price. Goto marco pole hands down

The best value for money!

We had a pleasant 3 nights stay at Solea. I don't normally leave a review but after our stay this resort deserves a good one. Check in staff, Deo, was very accommodating and very professional in handling a little issue. They had sent an update of their room description to all online booking agents but was not carried out particularly by hotels.com or Expedia. Assistant Manager, Jovenella, jumped in and took care of our issue gracefully and very professionally. THANK YOU sir, ma'am!

The place has a very nice atmosphere although it happens to be fully booked. I have to mention that ALL their staff are very accommodating and nice people! Everything was awesome and we would stay again next time.

Worst Airport Pickup

Worst airport pickup - advise not to avail it, paid 1k one-way for a worst service. Took Grab going back to airport at its better ang cheaper.

Our intended reason why we book this hotel is that we wanted to stay close to the airport but the property is actually in the opposite side of the island.But overall the hotel is fairly new and our room was huge and has a great view of the ocean. We didn’t really use the hotel facilities but the hotel Has a big pool plus they also have a water park inside the property.
