no breakfast... the room was of poor.. bathroom door was old and needed to be replaced, and tub needed a scrubbing. looked clean but we saw a hair on it
it had n o coffee, it had a micro wave. was tiny. We slept and then got out early for our next day celebration.
the reception was very polite.

Easily accessible from the highway. Broken down, not well kept, and breakfast is too early. Even the safety lock was broken and the clerk didn’t seem to care when told. The sink had hair and grains of rice. The chairs were stains with dark stains and the room had a strong musty smell.
It looks better in pictures than it really is.

Not as pictured at all. No pool or continental breakfast as advertised. Room very dirty, including bedspread. Could hear guests arguing in room next-door. Could hear guests above us walking around. Could hear when every toilet flushed. Sketchy live in residents. We were not permitted to use the only deadbolt on the door. Did not feel safe in general. Too expensive for what it was.

The room I had must have been renovated recently, but none the less, very clean
The bathroom nerd renovation but again, was clean.
The front desk gentleman at check-in was awesome, very friendly and upbeat.
This is your basic Roadside Motel, there are eateries and fuel literally right down the road, and very convenient to I-90, right off Route 22.
I intend on using this Motel again when up there!

Though they advertise both. Even when we checked in they said, have breakfast before leaving. But then there was none.
Room was fine. Clean, everything worked, etc.
As a place to sleep and get ready, it was fine. Good location.
Just don't expect breakfast or swimming pool and you won't be disappointed.

Would not suggest - misleading listing

I never write reviews and I try to be understanding but I have to write for this one. Stayed for one night. Listing was inaccurate. Pool was not in use, there were no rollaway beds and the pet fee was higher then stated. The hotel was poorly “clean” but not clean in the context of the shower and bathroom etc. - grime and mildew built up. Very poor bed. Smelled so bad like smoke. Very cheap hotel for a reason, but I feel for the price and the condition it was in, it should have been even cheaper. I knew the rating wasn’t super high but I definitely would not rate it as high as it is rated on hotels.com. Very disappointed in the misleading listing from hotels.com.

NO WATER! My husband and I checked in at the Berkshire Travel Lodge on July 5, 2025 at around 7:00 PM. It’s an old roadside motel, more run down than the pictures on Travelocity, we only got 4 channels of cable TV, no ice available on site but good enough for our 1 night stay. When we woke up on July 6, we had NO WATER. We were unable to take showers, brush our teeth, or use the toilet. There was no one in the office, so I called the phone number posted and spoke with the manager who said he’d be off site all day but he’d make some calls and call me back. That was the last I heard from him; I’ve not gotten any reply via email, no one answers the phone, and there’s no way to leave a message to request a refund since our room did not meet minimum standards due to the lack of water.

If you are smart you will not stay here the pictures are outdated the rooms are nasty and have holes in the walls you have four TV stations and apparently they shut your water off sometime before 10:00 a.m. even though check out is at 11:00 I've never heard of such a thing you go to flush the toilet and oh no water no water out of the sink nothing run the other way

The bed and toilet were good. The A/C worked. There was a microwave and a small refrigerator.
The room smelled musty. The walls were cracked and not clean. The place is badly in need of a remodel but if you just need a place to sleep…

Very misleading, photos on hotels.com must be from like 20 years ago! Property completely run down , room walls were dirty , bathroom walls full of cracks , there are a lot of lower rooms that have people that look like they live there ! Pool advertised is covered , place is a total mess. We left at 4:30 am . Room reeked of cigarette smoke . We were there to see James Taylor and knew we would never find another place last minute . Do not stay here .

I booked to stay for a week in a specific room downstairs. They asked me, to switch rooms and go upstairs - because there was an older (person who they gave the room to). I’ve been a loyal customer to the establishment because I drive over an hour to work, having stayed several nights. I consider myself an elderly person being 59 years old and a diabetic. Having health issues. They made me feel guilty. I was very unhappy and upset about the request. I shouldn’t have been put in an awkward, uncomfortable position.
On my last nights stay; to make matters worse, I slip and fell at the bottom of the stairs. I tried to get help and was told that the management wasn’t there so I had to talk to them in the morning. The man barely spoke English and didn’t understood what I was saying. In the morning the management wasn’t even there. Another guest who witnessed everything; as I fell and hurt my wrist and twisted my back in the fall. The property is not maintained to the way it needs to be. Especially when it’s icy. Buckets of snow/ ice melt should be out and available so people can’t put it down and do not worry about slipping. The person I spoke with said that two other people had fallen as well. She was kind enough to help me. I will not be using this hotel again. Their loss of money and a loyal customer.

The room was a bit weathered, particularly the inside of the bathroom door, hollow pressed wood door which was curling up at the bottom from moisture, black mold in the caulk at the base of the bathtub, bent, rusting towel rod.... nowhere to hang clothes.... but the small refrigerator was in excellent shape and the freezer section worked!

The place becomes sold out. The clerk was awesome called me. And make sure I was still coming. I did not know what time I was going to be there. They left the room accessible for me to get in. Thank them and we'll stay there again.

The staff was nice enough but the room was gross! The bathroom was peeling paint in the shower and on all walls. The door had a water mark 3/4” up the door. The frame looked like it had t been cleaned in months. The front dr dead bolt wouldn’t work as it looked like it had been broke into with a big chuck of wood missing. We had planned to stay another night on our trip home and I canceled that.

Although no smoking in rooms, one has to walk through clouds of smoke to get to your room. Stairs are rickety. Subway was the only dining choice at this exit. I was visiting nearby Stockbridge, MA overnight, and lodging there was ridiculously expensive. This was on my way to my next destination, so I stayed. It was easy to miss, with a small sign at the base of a steep hill up from Rte. 22 near the I-90 interchange. The property is old and shopworn, and overlooks noisy I-90. They should stop advertising the \"pool\" which is closed and covered with a tarpaulin. The room was basic with bare-bones amenities, and the bed was comfortable. Cable TV was bare-bones minimal, with only one network channel and no guide. Wifi was OK. Everything was clean, and it was quiet enough to sleep with windows closed and drapes drawn. There weren't many guests. Breakfast was OK coffee with cheap packaged baked goods. I felt safe and it wasn't bad for one night on the way to someplace else.

Right off the highway but up on the mountainside made for easy access and beautiful vistas.
About what I expected for the price. If you can see past the decor (in need of updates, perhaps a paint job), it has the basics and the rooms are spacious. Nice sized table and two comfortable chairs. Clean.

It was dirty, cob webs, walls were cracked, bathroom door would not shut, dirty hand print were rubbed down the wall (maybe blood), ceiling in bathroom was ready to fall down, air conditioner was noisy and did not work right, train went by 3 to 4 times a night, bath tub/shower were so dirty I did not take a shower plus it was not handicap accessible, all we had were 2 skimpy pillows had to go buy 2 there were more thing but this is enough. It should be shut down

The hotel was grossly over advertised with pictures probably 10-20 years ago of a functioning pool and a family friendly environment. This place is used as a longer term rental facility to disadvantaged people. We left after one night, and I didn’t even want to haggle for the second days rate, or second nights pet deposit.

Absolute dump! Nothing like the pictures. We were traveling by motorcycle and specifically wanted to book a place with a swimming pool. As we arrived, we noted that the parking lot was littered with garbage. The landscaping hadn’t been tended to in weeks if not months. While the man behind the desk was very friendly, the place was very rundown. The room had a musty odor and, most disturbing, there were shady characters hanging around outside. I should have thought something was odd when, on the wall right next to the front desk, in a case that looks like one of those old-school fire alarms that says, “in case of emergency break glass,“ there was a Narcan kit. As we were entering our room, a guy, who looked like he was homeless, walked by smoking a joint. I get that it’s legal, but I don’t want to see that when I’m staying at a hotel. Anyway, when I asked where the pool was, the desk guy told me that the pool had been closed recently due to an electrical problem. It was only upon reading the other reviews that I came to discover that the pool has been closed for at least a year if not longer. The whole experience was very uncomfortable and felt unsafe. I was not comfortable leaving my motorcycle outside.

This motel is in run down, poor condition. The photos provided to Expedia are old and do not reflect the actual current condition of this property. We did not feel safe here and were concerned about the lack of cleanliness, so we left, and would recommend anyone that is considering a stay here, to take the online reviews seriously, they are spot on.

I'm sure this was a lovely hotel in its day, but today, it is very dated. Our room is quite small, bathroom is just big enough to stand in, and dingy. The beds were neatly made, no bed bugs, though they are small beds (probably full size).
The breakfast is more or less snacks.
The ac and heat work. The area was quiet, we were not disturbed by noisy residents, and the staff is friendly, though perhaps limited in the English language.
Overall, we were satisfied. The price is under $100 including all taxes.
We're guessing this hotel may have been built around the time the thruway was built or even before. It has history that would be interesting to look into.
