I used the heat and not the ac. This worked fine. The manager came in the room and was helpful. It is an old property and butts on the mass pike so it is a very noisy sleep. I woke at 2 and was unable to return to sleep. 💤 however it is cheap clean and the owners lovely.

Room has seen better days!!!!!

We had no heat for the first day and night. Heat was finally turned on the next day after multiple requests for heat. Room temp was 55 degrees. The room has seen better days. Wallpaper peeling, very musty smell as soon as you open the door, stains on everything include the shower curtain and tub.

Easy to park and check in. Walk up window for motel guest check in. The woman was friendly and got us an extra pillow and came to our room to make sure we had heat.
The room was out dated, bathroom clean. I felt like I was sleeping in my grandmother's basement. Has a comfortable bed. A little more attention to cleanliness wouldn't hurt. Over all a good inexpensive place to stay if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in the room. Basically we were only there to sleep. Got there at 7:30 pm left at 8:30 am. Decent value and the parking lot and every room were full.

I arrived much earlier than the check-in time and was told to come back later. I agreed to do that when the girl said that there was one room at the end of the rooms that had already been cleaned so i could have that room and gave me the key. I have stayed at this motel at least 8-10 times and the room I was given yesterday was absolutely abysmal in comparison, to the point that I question whether this end room was even meant to be used for guests. The curtain was missing hanger hooks so that I had to climb on a chair to improvise to close them; a refrigerator and a microwave were stacked against a back wall, neither plugged in and no outlet available,, also the air conditioner was not functional;; the Venetian blind in the bathroom was ripped and the tub was stained; pieces of the wall were broken and filthy. I was unable to do anything about this horror show because I was met by 3 other friends, all of whom had decent accommodation, at this same motel,, and we were late for our previously scheduled meals and theatre productions.
If this review strikes as unbelievable, I will be happy to provide photographs.

It’s an old motel which has not been renovated much probably since the 60’s or 70’s. Bathroom was nice with new tile. Beds were hard with springs poking up. Mildew odor as well. No working refrigerator. Room had an old combination range - refrigerator that doesn’t work and likely a safety hazard. Would be a gem if the owner would invest in renovations!

I’ve stayed in quite a few budget accommodations in southwestern Massachusetts over the past few years – this one wins the prize as the least appealing. Its exterior is rundown, unkept but was hoping the room was not. The door deadbolt only worked from The inside so I could only lock the knob. The door (pictured) was filthy, the carpet and windows dirty, the furnishings, old and worn out, the bed just OK. Bath was clean and recently retiled but the tub was dirty. These problems may be unique to room 9 but unlikely.

Wouldn't recommend, not clean & in disrepair!

It had dust on the chairs, window sills had lead paint chips, bedspreads too big and hanging on the floor, lamp shades broken and hanging crooked from the walls! The wallpaper was falling off the walls! There were many things that could have been easily fixed & rust spots on the heat vent. The fridge, microwave, and shower pressure were good. My husband took videos not photos.

We didn't stay. The place was terrible. Wallpaper was stained and very old falling off the wall. The entrance door had stains running down the inside. No ceiling light just wiring hanging. Window were never painted and they are raw wood that is dirty and mold growing. Windows would not open. The entrance door was unfinished and the jamb was unfinished and had no striker plate and the deadbolt would not close as it did not line up properly and there was no striker plate. The ceiling had stains on it. The bath was dirty and stained. We didn't open the bed and did not want to sleep in the bed after seeing what the unit looked like. We just left and went elsewhere and told the woman working there that we were leaving and cancel our reservation. The outdoor furniture had dirty black stains and was supposed to be white. We didn't take any photos as we just left quickly. This place is very close to Tanglewood and the owner does not care as they get reservations because of the proximity. If you can please let me know how to go about getting a refund I would appreciate it. Thanks

We always enjoy our stay here because of its location to our venue, eating options and the customer friendly owners.
It is a bit dated in its interior design, but a clean room wih a clean bed and working shower is our goal. They deliver.

This motel is rated at 6.8 which was a reason I booked it, but the rating in my opinion is not representative of the relatively poor condition it was in. Furniture was worn, inadequate lighting with one light that had switch taken out so only way to turn it on and off was to plug and unplug it. Mini fridge disconnected (to save electricity I assume). Check out time 10 AM, which apparently was main concern of front desk clerk (or or owner).

A very bare-bones experience

Room was somewhat shabby. It had a TV, fridge, and microwave - but no coffeemaker. Breakfast was served on the porch outside the office, not indoors. Minimal. And on Monday morning there was no breakfast at all. Loud AC.

No real bells of whistles. It was quiet, clean. The price was fabulous compared to all other properties in a 10-mile radius. The Manager was very pleasant and always smiling. Right off the Mass Turnpike in West Stockbridge just before entering NY.
Again for 1-2 nights I will always return.

The motel is between two roads and one of them is Masspike.. You can here traffic, but not to the extent that you would wake you up. Surprisingly quiet. As to the bad and the good, our fridge did not work. There was no hair dryer. Otherwise, the room was OK. Bathroom was very clean and well stocked.

This hotel was fine for one night, but the substandard beds, lousy pillows, and lack of a usable nightstand between the two beds (we travel with two CPAP machines, so nowhere to put them) made this a one-and-done kind of place. We look for hotels where we can drive right up to the door of the room, and these sometimes have lower standards than the brand-name motels. This was one of the low-par variety.

Classic motel vibe with modern conveniences

We had a nice stay in this classic motel which is located on Route 102 just outside West Stockbridge on a spacious property. Check-in was a bit awkward but we were given a room that honored our request and were able to park right outside our door. The room was very clean. The motel probably dates to the 1960s and some furniture was vintage but the room had a nice little fridge and a modest microwave as well as a recently renovated bathroom and excellent wifi. The bedding and carpet appeared reasonably new. We slept well but the pillows were thin. We supplemented them with a couple we travel with. The area around the hotel was pleasant with birds and trees but also traffic. The turnpike is nearby as well as traffic on the facing road. The room A/C however had a dehumidifier mode which added comfort to our stay and also masked any outdoor noise. All in all, a good classic motel experience and we'd stay here again.

This motel was centrally located. There were many cleanliness issues in the room - stained shower curtain, very dusty. The room was 45 degrees when we entered and took a very long time to warm up (6 hours before it reached 60 degrees with the thermostat all the way up).

The room was supposed to be for a king sized bed. That is what I reserved at least. For some reason we were give a room with double beds. Also, the room was like a fridge. The heat was not on. The temperature on the thermostat was bottom out. All of this started off with waiting outside in the cold at the check in window. Which a sweet elderly lady who spoke barely any english tried to assist me. It was like her son, I am assuming the owner, forgot about my reservation. After waiting for a while and talking with the son on the phone I was finally given a room. The room was dark, dank, and again, freezing cold. I left the room, asked for a refund, which I was promptly refused and put that motel in my rearview. I would recommend everyone avoid this place. The service was awful. Again the elderly woman was sweet, but she should defintely not be left alone trying to handle that without speaking english fluently. Other than her, I have nothing good to say about this place.

We should have taken a clue when the check-in was through a sliding window at the front of the property. Like a drive-through food chain. No lobby.

The room has a funky smell despite the windows being left open. Wallpaper is peeling. The stove has black tape over the dials so you cannot turn on any of the burners. The refrigerator does not work and likely is contributing to the smell.

Mildew streaks on the shower curtain and a super clogged showerhead. Tip: keep your mouth closed while in the shower. You do not want to swallow whatever is coming off that.

The hotel property looks tidy and we'll maintained on the outside, but the inside is very run down! Peeling wallpaper, huge yellow stains on shower curtains, dirty old carpeting, beds are like sleeping on a metal boxspring, had to unplug things to use other things due to lack of power. Heat didn't work.... And on, and on, and on. I even had the owner move me to a different room and it was the same deal, except had 2 beds instead of one and he made me agree to use only one of the beds. The \"Continental breakfast\" was set up on a porch outside and consisted of Cheerios, coffee and a single little store bought container of mini chocolate chip muffins, only served on Saturday and Sunday. It was a nightmare! I was in town for a wedding and unfortunately didn't have the time to find another place to stay, nor did I want to lose the non-refundable cost of my stay. DO NOT STAY THERE!! There must also be a reason that there are triple locks on the inside of each room's door. Yikes!

Complimentary breakfast is advertised, but it was only available on Wednesday, amd the selection of food items is very limited.
No much around the motel if you want to walk for food.

This was a place to lay our heads for two nights, but the yellow on all the pillows made even that a challenge. The wallpaper was peeling, there was a layer of dirt on the peeled back parts, the carpet was predictably sticky, and the exposed/rusted refrigerator racks were concerning. Shades were layered with dust/dirt, mold evidence on the ceiling near the outside wall. I could go on.

If you're looking for a bed and a bathroom at rock bottom prices, this is a good bet. It's dilapidated and absolutely bare bones, but it was safe and quiet and clean with working fixtures. The owners went out of their way to be helpful.

We immediately noticed one of the beds was broken, unable to sleep on, we went and told the manager after we checked in and he was on his way out. We asked for a refund. He said no, it’s not broken, and something about we needed to do it online. We don’t stay and would still like a refund.

The room had an awful odor when we first went in.it did clear after running the air conditioner for a while. The curtains and lamp shades were in very poor condition. The room wasn't cleaned very well. Continental Breakfast consisted of coffee, cheerios and cornflakes. Coffee was undrinkable. Bed was clean. Shower was hot. Location was very convenient to Tanglewood.

Ok for a nights stay but my key fell behind the dresser when I moved it out to get the key what I saw behind it was frightening. I was in #12 so if the property management sees this take a look you definitely want to clean that up. Had to be someone who stayed for at least a week to accumulate the amount of what I saw . I would reccomend this place for summer only. In winter it is cold so cold that I had to use my own sleeping bag under their covers. Ironically I took this cheap place because in my own house nearby the hot water boiler has broken down.
Their thermostats were unresponsive, the heater in the bathroom was on constantly, old and ineffective. To take a shower I needed to close the bathroom and run the hot water until the room was like a schwitzbad.

I was originally placed in a room with one bed, which is not the one I reserved, but that was ok, since it was only me, however, the room was cold and I was asked to plug in an oscillating heater to heat the room. It was about 5 inches in diamater and maybe 30 inches high. I did so, then went to eat. After I'd returned I waited a bit and the room was still cold. At that point, I called the office and they moved me into the room I was originally supposed to have and I suppose they controlled the heat, because it actually got too hot. Upon waking I went to check out and realized breakfast is only two days a week (on the weekends) there and outside the office was a coffee pot and some cups. I dropped my keys off and left. I'll choose another location if I ever need to stay in that area again.
