We LOVED our mini getaway at the Chambery Inn. The room was gorgeous, spacious, and very comfortable. The fireplace couldn't have been easier to operate. The jetted tubs were divine with plenty of hot water the towel warmer was a nice bonus. The room was fully stocked with glassware and a corkscrew which was appreciated. We look forward to coming back

We returned to the Chambery Inn to celebrate my wife's birthday and the Memorial Day weekend. We were very happy with our choice. We stayed in a beautiful room (203), which included a spacious sitting area and a well-appointed bath. The breakfast were nicely prepared and presented. The Inn provided timely information prior and during our stay. We will be back in the future.

My husband and I booked a quick little kid-free weekend away at Chambery and I’m so glad we did! Every detail of this Inn is thoughtfully put together and it’s extremely clean. It smells like fresh baked scones each morning. Our room was cozy and clean. The whole Inn is so quiet that we didn’t see anybody the whole weekend. This felt like more of a hotel with a comfortable and cozy feel. Great restaurants and shops within walking distance too. Perfect stay in a beautiful location!

We had a delightful stay at the Chambery Inn, arriving in the middle of a huge snow storm, and being greeted by our huge room, a former classroom, a fireplace, and a jacuzzi tub. Wow! The town has a good number of restaurants which looked nice, but unfortunately all closed due to the storm—- but (!) awaiting our next visit!

It was not a true bed and breakfast. The room and staff were very nice but you hardly saw them. Breakfast was ordered the night before and brought to your room in the morning. If you book through Expedia there was a $25 extra charge for breakfast. There no common areas where to meet other guests.

A Special Inn in a Lovely, Quaint Town
Loved the parochial school turned inn! We had a gas fireplace and a tub with jets. We also loved the wall-length blackboard. My wife and I signed our names and got to read past guests' wishes and sayings. The one thing that I'd change is the creakiness of the bed. Other than that, 10/10.

The Chambery Inn is definitely unique! Quaint, charming rooms; very clean; friendly, helpful staff. Love the old-fashioned charm blended with the modern electronic conveniences. Loved the big-screen TV and streaming devices and the Echo sound system. I loved the fireplace and Christmas tree in the room for Christmas. I was expecting more decorations around the room and the Inn in general. Even though the room I really wanted wasn't available, the room I had was still very nice and a great, overall experience!

Liked the location. You can walk to several restaurants in Lee and you’re not far from other Berkshire attractions. The room was clean and Wi-Fi was good.
We didn’t like that there were no amenities such as common space, good coffe in the room or view. We were placed in a room at the ground level in the back of the building looking out at the parking lot. The place did not feel like an inn but more like an Airbnb.

The Chambery Inn is an old schoolhouse that was moved to its current location and transformed into a hotel. Each room is an old schoolroom complete with blackboards!
This hotel may be the most charming place we have ever stayed at. Our room was large and well lit from the big windows. It is right in downtown Lee, Mass., but it was very quiet. The bed was firm and comfortable just like I want.
At age 70, my wife and I liked the safe feeling of the downtown area. We actually met a police officer walking the streets.
In 10 minutes of easy walking there are many restaurants and shops. Be sure to visit 'Joe's Cafe'. Sit at the old fashion counter and have an ice cream.
For outdoor activities, visit October Mountain State Forest for hiking. The Norman Rockwell Museum is also nearby.

Charming place. Very quiet and comfortable. I felt like I had the whole entire place to myself. The bed was comfortable. Furnished with good tasted. Loved the soaking tub! Breakfast was yummy. I would much rather support an unusual, unique place that has character and historical significance.

We arrived and checked ourselves in.there was no signage at the front to direct us to parking and the entrance that didn’t require stairs. Our “welcome “ letter gave instructions to fill out the breakfast menu and hang it on our door. that would have been fine, but no such menu was present. Our room was fine . We were there 3 nights. On the day following our arrival, we just happened to encounter a young employee taking out trash and we mentioned that we needed ate breakfast menu. That evening we had one. Breakfast was about the same quality we could get at a Marriott. No menu again on night #3. All in all, a disappointing stay. We would not recommend this Inn.

I was looking for a more affordable hotel option with decent reviews for my husbands business trip, as hotels are usually very expensive in Lee, in July. Not only was your inn one of the most affordable, the reviews were not an exaggeration. It was a beautiful, feels like home, very clean room. He will definitely stay there again and It sounds like I will really enjoy it too the next time I’m able to join him

The room is large with high ceilings and lots of windows. Shared balcony is a nice feature. It’s an old building and so it definitely feels of the era. The furnishings could be updated. We were surprised to see Folgers coffee. Overall a good value in this little town.

The Inn is very quaint, an old school house. It was very clean, and comfortable. Check in is contactless, and very easy. They even do breakfast by picnic basket in your room. The breakfast options are limited, which is understandable given the pandemic. I only met 1 inn keeper and she was very sweet. I highly recommend the Inn.

We had a great stay at Chambery Inn in Lee, MA. Our room was VERY clean and it was nicely decorated - it felt charming while not feeling old and dusty. The gas fireplace made for a lovely addition to the room also. Check in was easy and low contact, and the woman who checked us in and out was very friendly and helpful. The Inn is nicely located - right off main street with a few cute shops/restaurants and is very central to all you may want to do in the area. It is an old building, and with that comes the creeks of floors and pipes (what you'd expect at any B&B), but we didn't hear any of the other guests and our room was quiet and private. We didn't take advantage of breakfast, as it was modified for covid (we decided to explore the local cafes instead). We would definitely stay at the Chambery Inn again if in the area!

All sounds telescoped through the room from the upstairs and next door. Especially uncomfortable was when the adjacent room used their jacuzzi tub. At first I thought I was next to facilities/operations/utility room -- it was loud and my whole room vibrated the entire time. The breakfast card offered few options, and from those you were directed to choose even less (\"Choose one,\" etc, not one from each limited category). No non- dairy or gluten free options, and warned that you might receive a $25 charge for this anemic meal. I got an egg and had to ask for salt and pepper.

I require handicapped accessible accommodations; rarely do I find a building/room without glitches. Chambery Inn's offering was excellent - from parking to entrance to room to bathroom was as close to effortless as is possible in a wheelchair. Although due to Covid we did not meet the owners, our frequent (sorry!) phone calls proved them to be patient, gracious hosts. An excellent experience.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. A great location for not only walking to restaurants but also for exploring that area of the Berkshires, with easy and quick access to other towns, parks, walks and shopping! Lots of small touches which were appreciated eg speciality teas included in the room, water bottles given at checking in with maps and small chocolates. Really friendly staff at check in. I booked the second smallest room in the Inn but it was very roomy for a solo traveller or a couple. Extra towels were also provided instead of the usual 1 per person, which was appreciated.

Loved how the old school house's chalk board was preserved in our room. Tianna (front desk) gave us a warm welcome, and was exceptionally helpful. The Chambery Inn is well kept lodging, and a very relaxing place to stay! From the beautiful four post bed to the fire place to the whirlpool bath tub in our room. Perfect!

The room was amazing, the value was incredible. The room had a gas fireplace which was fun to sit in front of, although it threw a lot of heat, a plus now, in the summer not so much. I travel often for work and pleasure, so i often obsess about the details. I searched accomodations up and down New England and stumbled upon the Chambery Inn. I'm glad i did. We had a late start and after realizing we wouldn't make it in time for check in, we phoned the Inn and they were more than accomodating. They had the heat on for us (temps were pushing record lows.) The room was very spacious, and fireplace was as cozy and warm as could be. Also, there were water bottles, robes and liquid creamer (don't do powder) for the coffee maker. The overall ambiance was exactly what i was searching for.....quiet, cozy, romantic, quaint and hospitsble. Breakfast and local paper were delivered to the door daily and when housekeeping noticed we had a few bottles of wine in there, they left wine glasses. I cannot wait to return!

This Inn is so charming, we absolutely loved our suite and the location was great for explioring the Berkshires. The woman who checked us in was so welcoming and the decor is adorable. Our suite included 2 chaise lounges, a beautiful fireplace, giant tv and a hot tub! After dinner we watched scary movies and cuddled by the fire, wishing this was our bedroom! This location was an 1800's schoolhouse that was moved to it's current location about 30 years ago, great quirky vintage details and a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Would absolutely stay here again!

We like that it's historical and small, but not a bed and breakfast. We don't care for those. Plus, they have three rooms on the main floor so didn't have to negotiate old stair. Fireplace, comfy chairs, nice bed. Love those cookies at night! It's right down town, everything walkable; granted small town, but Lee is so centrally located...all accessible. Local restaurants offer some of the best food you'd ever eat!

Cute. B&B is only good if you want breakfast in bed. Downtown Lee has better options, like The Starving Artist cafe. And better coffee, ie espressos. Cute chalk board messages keep your visit for posterity for the year at least. Recommend. Best for couples, really.

Overcome bad start for a nice stay
They definitely treat people who book through a service like hotels.com as second class citizens - and initially said since I used a service they could give me whatever type of room they wanted regardless of what I thought I booked, but after we went online and they saw how specific the booking was , although the room I wanted was not available they went out of their way to make it up to us . The Inn is in a great location, very atmospheric and very comfortable. We had a nice time in the end!

My wife and I had an excellent few days at the Chambery Inn. It's well situated, right in the middle of the towns of the Berkshires and just a couple blocks north of the main street in Lee, so it's an easy walk to dinner if you're eating in town. The inn is very pretty, and definitely looks the part as an old 19th century schoolhouse converted to an inn. And the room was great. Spacious and clean, with the usual \"New England Inn\" kind of feel. The breakfast being brought to your room is a nice touch, and while the breakfasts are simple (granola with fruit; hard boiled egg; English muffin; etc.), it was good to be able to request a time when coffee and some morning food could show up at your room.
Overall, we were very happy with our time there, and had no complaints.

The property was beautiful and very convenient to downtown shopping, Tanglewood, biking, hiking and everything we were looking for. The owner met us the morning after our first night and recommended a lovely place “The Starving Artist” for us to grab a quick coffee & delicious homemade bars & muffins (they do serve full breakfast as well) before our early morning golf at nearby Cranwell.
We especially loved the warm choc chip cookies that awaited our return after a long day of hiking on the second day

The Chambery inn is perfect place to go to get away and relax. The hotel is a former grammar school , built in the 1880 s, and has been transformed into charming bed and breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful and the inn offers a breakfast left at your door in the morning for a small additional charge.the rooms are former classrooms and have been transformed into accommodations which are beautiful and exceptionally clean and well kept. There is plenty of parking on site. The inn is within walking distance of Main Street shops and restaurants. I will be staying there agai.
