I had not visited the Ponds for 30 years. It has not gracefully aged. Condo unit has not been updated since it was built in the early 70s and it shows. Drafty and slightly damaged doors, slow drains in the bathrooms, furniture and rugs that show damage and age, and a clubhouse in need of updating. Front desk staff not very friendly or useful, odd because they don’t have a lot of foot traffic this time of the season. There are other similar facilities in the area that might be worth exploring versus this tired old place.

Expedia stated the front desk is open until midnight, but when I arrived at 8:05pm the door to the registration bldg was locked.i located a mailbox marked “late check ins” where I found a key card that was only good for one of my two nights. It snowed 2-3” during my 2-day stay, but the sidewalks to my building were never shoveled. Room was extremely clean but quite outdated. Bathroom tiles were cracked with pieces missing along the exterior wall, allowing very cold air in. Price was good for my short stay - unfortunately I didn’t have time to use the clubhouse amenities.

As others have said, it’s extremely well kept and clean. In the Condo and the common areas…immaculate actually. It’s very dated. It would have been nice to know we would have people above us, and the hot tub no longer exists and that was disappointing. It’s a great location and condo is well equipped. Don’t expect miraval, but it’s a great place.

The unit had tons of large black flies! Theirs is mold in the bathroom and the bathtub jets don’t work. The advertised jacuzzi is closed for renovation. The hours of the clubhouse are very limited to the gym was not accessible for any of the times I would have liked to workout.

The property is beautiful and very walkable, and well-located with Tanglewood, The Mount, Shakespeare & Co and downtown Lenox extremely nearby. Onsite amenities such as clubhouse, tennis courts and pool are convenient and the individual units are nicely laid out.

The property is a bit older and could some updating/refreshing.

This is not a hotel but a time share, there is no shampoo, coffee etc. They supply all the kitchen hardware and utensils but no condiments (including butter, oil). The place is ok but in decline (e.g. dingy feel). If you have kids, it might work out well but the interior doesn't inspire lingering for adults (i was ready to get out after sleeping). You can hear people walking upstairs. To sum up, if you love Berkshires and simply need a place to sleep and cook meals, it can work.

The unit was in very good shape and in an excellent location but we had been promised an indoor pool but it was under renovation. It would be nice if we were told that in advance.
Most of the front desk people were very nice but one person doesn’t seem to like customers.
Overall a good experience.

Staff was responsive and very helpful. The property was well-landscaped and clean. Check-in and out were easy.

The outdoor pool area was very nice, however, the unheated pool was too cold.

The property was close to Lenox, Lee, and Stockbridge, all offering lots of dining options.

The apartment was clean, however, the bathroom needs to be updated. It was functional, but the ceiling fixture needs to be cleaned , a number of the floor tiles are cracked, and the enclosure around the tub needs to be replaced and the ceiling needs painting. Given that so many of the guests are senior citizens, a shower stall rather than a tub would be nice for better access.

All in all, we had a great visit...lots of good food and freshly made ice cream at the farm next door. Also nearby theater was a treat.

The grounds were gorgeous and the unit was just as described. It is incredibly quiet and peaceful and was a nice retreat to go back to at the end of the day. There were other amenities, like a gym but I believe they close the building fairly early so it can’t be used past 6pm. I would absolutely stay here again, should I be in the area. It was an incredible value for the amount paid.

The location and property itself are wonderful. The facilities are aged, and I do know they're working to renovate and update. The bed and sofa were comfortable; and the accommodations are pleasant. The bathroom may be difficult to modernize. It's tough getting into the shower inside the non-functional jacuzzi tub, etc. The back deck and environment are showing their age, as well.

The property is in a great location to explore The Berkshires. It could use some updating but some of the issues could be taken care of with little money - like newer towels in the bathroom, shower curtain, shower heads. Internet was terrible in the unit I was in, so was provided a booster. Maintenance staff is great. Had difficulty at check out because my payment to Orbitz hadn't been processed so the front desk staff wanted to charge me again. I made them call Orbitz and it was straightened out.

Condo nicer than a hotel suite, with fireplace.

The condo was excellent. Bed comfortable, working fireplace -- but bring an artificial log or two to burn -- the store sells out. The kitchen was stocked with dishwasher soap, etc. The living room area was very comfortable, and in ludes a coffee table and a good TV. We were delighted, and will return.

The quietness and woodsy area was lovely but the property was old and outdated. The furniture was worn out, the decor was slapped on and the heater in the bedroom was loud and annoying. The heater noise kept us up all night so and had to purchase ear plugs at a nearby pharmacy to try for a better night rest. The bedroom also had blinds with huge gaps that did not allow for privacy from the outside. Never again will I stay here again.

Just right for what we were seeking

Wife and I found some solitude in an otherwise stressful visit to the area to deal with a family health situation. The property is lovely and the staff is committed to pleasing its guests. GM Jay was helpful and honest about the improvements in progress. (I'd suggest softer bed pillows and firmer sofas in living room.) We were not staying as a timeshare exchange, but found excellent rates for this visit online. We'd certainly stay here again.

This is a very nice place. The condos are clean and nothing was broken. The only con is that everything is outdated. The place needs a remodel but they have keep everything in good condition so it still was a pleasant stay. The grounds are beautiful and the library, heated indoor pool and some gym equipment were very nicely kept.

Berkshire Favorite!!

The property isn't brand new, but is far from outdated! Very clean, very comfortable, and spacious! A view of the ponds from every unit and the small fountain was such a soothing sound to listen to while relaxing on the small veranda. Ample parking and an out-of-the-way feeling, while being 5-10 minutes from 3 different towns! The staff was very welcoming and went above and beyond to accomodate our busy schedule. I will stay here again and again!

Everything was good except the bedroom television did not work and the living room TV was almost impossible to use. While someone came to help very quickly and repeatedly and was nice, no one was able to solve the problem and we had to scroll through hundreds of stations to find what we wanted.

A large, quiet property which is great for walks. Tennis courts are at the center. The clubhouse has an indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The library with the gas fireplace was a regular visit for me due to the rainy weather. I brought my own books but they have a large selection to choose from. The towns of Lenox, Lee, Great Barrington and Stockbridge are nearby for shopping and dining. The condo here was more enjoyable than a hotel room. Bring some Duraflame logs for the fireplace or buy some there. I will definitely return.

This was a great space for a family vacation. On-site amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, tennis court, shuffleboard and playground were great for kids. Location is wonderful, just about 2 miles to Tanglewood and downtown Lenox with shops and restaurants. Condo is dated and areas of the property are a bit run- down (peeling paint, etc) but everything is clean and functional.

The Ponds at Foxhollow would be a great experience for artists, historians, and storytellers and early risers like me. I appreciated the safe environment to get up and get out for a walk in the fresh air, stepping through the morning dew in the grass along the road. Surrounded by trees, birds, and other harmless wildlife, I walked down the drive and stumbled upon Foxhollow Manor, impressed by its symmetry while pondering its history. Accompanying me back to my condo was a family of geese, two adults and seven goslings.

The property was lush with open space. I remember thinking The Ponds at Foxhollow would be a perfect location for big families and large groups that might like ultimate frisbee or volleyball. We are looking forward to returning to take advantage of the pool, canoe, tennis courts, and the paddle boat.

The Berkshires is rich with culture. We traveled North Adams to visit MCLA and later, from The Ponds at Foxhollow, we drove just 11 minutes south toward Stockbridge to experience the beautiful landscapes at the Botanical Gardens. I miss Tanglewood concerts!

We did take advantage of having the kitchen in the spacious condo by buying breakfast food, snacks, coffee, and tea to keep \"eating out\" costs to a minimum. Each morning, we ate breakfast on the lanai overseeing the pond with the white marble bridge and the tiny water fountain around which the family of geese took their morning swim :)

I found this property by random, and I could not be happier. The condo was huge, very clean, and extremely well organized. We had a two bedroom two bathroom unit on two levels. The back window and deck facd onto a gorgeous pond with ducks, and there was easy parking right in front. It is setback from the highway quite a bit and so it is perfectly peaceful and quiet. It was a delight to wake up and find ducks and ducklings walking around in the morning!
To me, the really important thing was that the service was outstanding. I had car trouble getting out from Boston, and in spite of the fact that reception generally closes at 8 PM, Jeff, the receptionist was super helpful and accommodating. He called me when I was on the road to see how I was doing, and waited for me to arrive at almost 830. He truly went above and beyond in making this a great experience. The location is very close to Lenox and right in the center of the Berkshires, and I would highly recommend this to anyone coming to visit. The unit has a full kitchen and laundry down the hall, and it is extremely reasonably priced (I would actually say it is a bargain for what you get!). Thanks to everyone at The Ponds at Foxhollow. We look forward to visiting again!

We stayed off season and it was such wonderful place to spend my daughter’s 4th birthday. The condo offers lots of room when traveling with kids and the jacuzzi tub and fireplace were so nice to have. I loved being able to wake up to such a beautiful pond view and have a cup of coffee from the deck, it’s very serene. Fabulous location within minutes of Stockbridge. Front desk staff was very helpful. Pool, hot tub, sauna all great! We stayed 5 years ago too and it’s as good as we had remembered and we plan to come again.

Great place to stay in the Berkshires

We have stayed here several times and it is an excellent place to stay. The units are very well designed, though slightly poorly built (there have been a few minor issues in each of the units we have stayed in so far, but nothing that detracted from our stay). The front desk is super helpful and I can't think of anything negative to say. Washer and dryer available in the foyer of each building, very convenient. It is a really pleasant and peaceful place to be, and super convenient to all the Berkshires has to offer.

It was so much bigger than we expected. One problem we had was checking in. There were no instructions on where to go, and the property is huge! Arriving late at night we couldn’t find the clubhouse and once we did, we didn’t know what to do as there was no one available to speak to. We were not given instructions on what to do if hotel employees left for the night. Other than check in, we had a great stay and enjoyed the condo and how convenient it was to Fall hiking.

Beautiful grounds with condos overlooking the pond. There was access to a few small boats and a paddle boat. Condo was clean and kitchen was well stocked. Comfortable rooms with lots of storage, plenty of room for a large family.
Cons;
There is a loft balcony that could be dangerous for small kids. The internet only worked for a few minutes at a time. The indoor pool was closed and we weren’t aware at booking. The bathroom was dated some tiles cracked and shoddy repairs. Not a lot of staff if you needed something/had questions but this is probably due to Covid.

We went with a higher rate lodging because of the amenities and amount of space we would have. There was both hot sunny days rain in the forecast. The availability of an inside and outside pool, sauana and hot tub was one of the main reasons we selected this place. We figured we could enjoy swimming in any weather condition during our stay and make the most of a needed break.

The indoor pool, sauana and hot tub were closed, empty and an eye sore. The front desk didn’t inform us, or introduce any of the amenities. The listing should be temporarily updated to indicate the status of the amenities.

The condo was so musty! The air conditioning smelled like a motel AC.

I had to throw away the pillow I brought with me away. Even the clothes I didn’t wear had to be washed 2x with soap and vinegar to get the musty smell out of them.

These units have a good amount of space but they are dated and not well cared for. The outdoor sitting area is only big enough for 2 chairs and is covered by the unit above. Overall, we did not get the type of stay that we paid for and were very disappointed.

I liked the convenience of a pool and close to ski slopes but did not like our toilet not functioning for the first three hours we got there which required a plumber. Also, the pool area was not as clean as I would have hoped. Condo could also use some updating.
