Room and corridor decor very dated and in need of a spruce up. There was a huge water tank in the toilet area. Double bed comfortable. Twin beds were very small. No washing up liquid provided in kitchen area. Mountain view from one room was lovely, the view from the other room over the Main Street was not as nice. Lounge area on floor one was nice. Complimentary drinks machine was a good amenity but several times was not stocked with all drinks. Ok for a short stay and if you are happy with basic accommodation.
For a longer stay I would prefer something less shabby.

The room was pretty big and with a minikitchen, the bed was comfortable, wifi worked great, there was a free coffee/tea and apples in a common area, friendly staff, most of whom spoke very good English. The location was walkable and quiet, except on Friday evening, when a bar nearby had loud boom-boom music outside. Importantly, I couldn’t hear the other guests. Absolutely recommend!

Good for an overnight stay

Very basic hotel, main draw back the tiny narrow single beds. But worked well as a single night stay. Large (relatively cheap) car park across the street. Part of town not great, but within 5 minutes walk you are in the main historic part.

The hotel is quite average. It needs renovation, espcially the carpets in the rooms. There was also a sewage smell in our room the whole time!
On the upside, the hotel staff were nice and courteous. The breakfast buffet was also decent.

This is a nice little hotel a quick walk to old town which I like because it’s a quieter area. Parking across the street was very convenient and the hotel gives a discounted rate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only small issue was that our floor’s hallway had a not to pleasant odor….but it didn’t affect our room so not a huge deal. Elevators are tiny but that seems to be the norm in France.

This conveniently located and had everything you need including a kitchenette with balcony. Towels and pillows were great quality, only small gripe was the water pressure in the bathroom sink, although maybe this was an eco decision as showers had enough power. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff and hotel were excellent. The breakfast delicious although an added cost. Rooms clean wirh a small kitchen and microwave, but no detergant of washcloth to di dishes with and housekeeping didnt clean them either. Thiscwas the inly fault.

Comfortable stay, kind and welcoming staff

Hotel is a bit dated; however, I feel very comfortable there. Room is kept extremely clean. Looked forward to having breakfast there every day - many selections and great quality! What sets this hotel apart in my opinion, is their understanding and helpfulness when I requested a partial refund due to sudden change of hospital of a family member that I am caring for. Even though I booked a non-refundable rate, the hotel management was very understanding and processed a refund for my unused nights right away. They even went through the trouble of trying to contact hotels.com for me so I will receive my refund. Would definitely stay here if I return to Chambery!

Very late booking made on Hotel.com website following an accident en route to Alps. Lovely friendly guy on reception was extremely helpful and delighted by the room which was clean spacious and had a great little kitchenette area so I could make a hot drink. Very central.

Nice staff but disappointing accommodation

This hotel is not as stylish as it appears in the photos. The decor is very dated although in reasonable condition. The lobby was more like that of a one or two star hotel. It wasn't an attractive place to be in. However, the breakfast was good and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Nice location for the town, very convenient. Room was small but had a small kitchen area which would have been welcome for a longer stay. Parking was offsite and even with the map they gave us at reception was tricky to find. It would have been a thousand times easier with a screenshot from street view pointing it out. The underground car park itself was ok though with clearly marked spaces for hotel guests.

We had a 12 night stay, we are a family of 4. They gave us a really big room which made our stay very comfy. The kitchen is very small and basic. We were in the heat of August and the AC worked excellent. The only problem i had is that they cancelled the room cleaning services. So we had no service through the whole stay. We didnt use the parking service of the hotel but always found one near buy.

This is a very nice hotel only a few minutes walking from the old city in Chambery. The rooms have a small kitchenette and the underground parking is a big plus. The staff in incredible. Very helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Rating is deceiving

We were there for a wedding with many other people. It was very hot weather and some of the rooms were equipped with very effective A/C and or fans. Unfortunately our room (along with all on the 2nd floor) were not equipped and whatever temperature control device in the room did not work. We did not sleep in the room for three nights. I pleaded with the front desk staff to allow us to buy a cheap fan and for the hotel to buy it off us at the end of the trip - 'IMPOSSSIBLE' they say.

Additionally, there was insufficient parking despite there being availble parking stated on the site. Very disappointing that we had to pay extra for parking.

Finally, some of our group was told checkout was at 4PM so we had planned our last day around this. Upon checkout they were advised checkout is 12PM and we had to leave the rooms immediately or face extra charges. Did not hear the rest of this discussion as I could not wait to get out of this hotel.

Perhaps this is a decent hotel for a person traveling alone or as a couple but it is obvious they are poorly equipped to handle large groups or hot weather.

My husband and I stay here every year in November for a few days as we have family in Chambery. The hotel is central to the town. Very nice and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Great facilities as has kitchen with fridge and microwave. Short walk from railway station.

I stayed at the Kyriad in Chambery en route back to UK from Italy. It was easy for Sat Nav to find although the underground car park was a bit more difficult. Staff were very helpful and efficient. The hotel decor is a bit tired but my room turned out to be very large with sofa, dining area and kitchenette. Sleep was very comfortable. Overall good value.

So very disappointed. We stayed here last year in the ' superior quadruple room' Top floor lovely big room and balcony as shown in the picture. Booked the same this year, paid more and got a much smaller room, tiny balcony and no view, nothing superior about it. Went to reception, who were very friendly, but was told there was only one large room.
Kids were crying, ruined the stay won't be returning.

We stayed here for two days, it is an OK hotel if you are on budget. It is more like student dormitory - simple and cheap. Staff barely speak English, but trying to be friendly. Grocery store just two blocks away.

I was there with my children on a very hot day. My fault I have not realized there was no airconditioning in the hotel. I tried to keep the window open but the street was too noisy in the night. At the same time someone on the floor cooked fish in his room and the whole floor smelled fish.The combination was deadly.
The hotel is in a good location, clean and the staff was excellent. The room was comfortable.

Great location in centre of Chambery close to restaurants, try Twenty 3 mins walk next to Cinema. Hotel itself looks very new, rooms were excellent size . Hotel pRking was full but you can park easily for free overnight either at bays outside hotel or in car park just opposite.
