Very pleasant staff. Comfortable bed. I was assigned a quiet room but it was very noisy from the roof top bar next door. Ear plugs definately needed. Unfortunately the carpet in the bedroom did smell, they did provide a spray for the room. Good internet connection.

Very good location, staff excellent and suoer helpful. Room large and comfortable. Lots of shops, restaurants etc around the hotel. Decent breakfast with vegan options.
Tricky to find parking but once directions sorted, parking secure and easy to use. Swimming pool too popular, didnt get to use it but good to see everyone enjoying it.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's a very convenient location for the town centre and the railway station.
A little more attention needed towards maintenance and cleanliness: the extractor fan in our shower room wasn't working which was a minor inconvenience and the shower head neads cleaning.
The staff were very helpful with suggestions re places to visit.

Hotel is well situated for exploring Chambrey, just a few minutes walk from the old city. Booked a larger room which was well appointed, but all of these rooms overlook the local outside brasserie and bar terrace which was very noisy right through to 11:30pm. We asked be moved to a different but smaller room for the next night which escaped the rooftop bar noise. In both rooms the air conditioning controls made no difference to the temperatures, even after a lesson from reception. Consequently we suffered badly from the night time heat during a very hot few days. Disappointing continental breakfasts. Had to park in the station car park 5 minutes walk away. Staff very friendly and helpful but not my favourite French hotel!

Good hotel, especially for the price / location

Stayed for just one night. Check in and check out were smooth with friendly receptionists. The elevator was having an issue when we first arrived so one lady kindly helped us carry our suitcases up two flights of stairs to our room; no more elevator issues after that initial snafu.

The room was small but large enough for the two of us and our two carry ons / 1 large check in suitcase. The room itself was clean although the shower was showing some age (the nooks and crannies could probably use a good scrubbing). The balcony was nice but the tiles on the balcony were broken and clearly hadn't been updated or cleaned recently. The room also had an odd smell of cigarettes / cleaning products that either dissipated by the next morning or our noses got used to it. The bed was comfy as were the pillows. We didn't partake in the breakfast buffet the next day but the free bottled water and hot water dispenser in the lobby were nice. Wifi was solid and relatively fast with no issues.

Overall, decent hotel for a great price in the middle of Chambery / near the station.

parking is a BIG issue you have to pay to park Its up a narrow street no sidewalks when you come back from parking your car Our room was cute Art Deco design but overlooked a roof top bar that was noisy until 1 am Front Desk Staff was AWESOME friendly spoke english very helpful I gentleman a little cranky but got the ice we needed for us but no conversation and no smile :(

A very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable, free wi-fi & well equipped bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff, buffet breakfast with good variety and well stocked. Massive bonus was in reception there was complimentary Tea, Coffee & refrigerated bottled water! When the thermometer hit 35, most welcome. There is a very comfortable bar and lounge area. The hotel is very central, 5 minutes from the station & very close to the main part of town:- Tourist Office, Cathedral, shops, bars,restaurants and of course the Elephant Fountain just a few minutes walk away. The hotel also had a small indoor pool which would be an added bonus for some guests.

We had to book last minute as we missed a train connection. Staff were very efficient and as we were hot and tired from travelling the small but perfectly formed pool was much appreciated. Comfy and clean room.

Two very young staff to run the hotel on New Year's eve. On a Sunday there aren't many places open to see and it is very difficult to find a good local restaurant. Mainly fast food places.

Small rooms and no controller for the TV

Asked for the tv remote and was told it’d be delivered to my room - I wasn’t!!! The ‘complimentary’ shower wash was empty and and no milk for the provided tea and coffee!? The room was small and was noisy from other hotel guests and nearby traffic. Found a pair of socks by the bed also!! wasn’t cleaned or stocked up it seems!!!

Modernised hotel convenient for city centre

Stayed at this Chambery hotel for a stop-over from Italy. Not easy to find as it's part of a larger block but once found you can stop right outside using their reserved bay to unload.
Staff helpful.
Looks as if the interior has been recently renovated and all very clean and new.
Bed comfortable and adequate size.
Easy walk into the town centre, though on a Monday night many restaurants were closed.
There's a pub/bistro next door though.

Room was very small. Only one small pillow provided each. We paid for a \"Comfort Room\" with city view - the view was just a flat roof. The air on in the room was ineffective. So not a a comfortable stay and a poor night's sleep mainly due to the lack of pillows. We were charged 15 Euros each for a very poor buffet breakfast. There is no on-site parking, we were directed to a public car park about 600 metres away. On the positive side the hotel is well located for the town centre which is about 300 metres.

Lovely hotel !

The hotel is beautifully decorated in an ideal position coming into town. It is in easy reach of some superb restaurants and shopping. The road and train station are quite noisie however, with the windows closed they cannot be heard. Unfortunately on the evening that we stayed we had rather boisterous neighbors, beyond the hotels control however they offered us complimentary breakfast !

We had booked three hotels for our trip to France. When we arrived at this one we were very disappointed. The outside needs looks tired and inside was very dark - even seedy. We asked to use the facilities as it was 1300 and our room wasn't ready til 1500. One member of staff was eating in the bar area but it was almost totally dark.
We decided not to stay even though we had pre paid the room. Says it all really.The room ratings are only an estimate or the review won't be accepted

A conveniently placed hotel in the town centre with secure parking

A clean hotel which is in Central Chambery. It has secure underground parking (for a charge) There is no restaurant but there are many close by. The rooms are clean but rather small and there was very little storage space, fine for an overnight stop but not for a long stay. Good bathroom with a separate WC. Disabled parking space outside the hotel which is free of charge. The rooms at the back of the hotel would be quieter as it is on a busy rood.

Perfect for a stopover on the way to Italy

We were welcomed very warmly by an excellent receptionist. She was efficient, knowledgeable and polite. The room was small but the bathroom was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, although on a double - we have a super king at home so this was rather cosy.

We were in our way to Italy and Chambèry is perfectly placed for an overnight stop, being only an hour from the Fréjus Tunnel. Chambéry is a nice little town, seek out the old quarter it is very quaint.

Very Nice Stay

I was staying in Chambery for a month for an Abroad program for school and wanted to arrive a day early so that I could rest. This hotel is right near the train station and only approximately a 5 minute walk. For me, when it comes to staying anywhere, cleanliness and comfort are HIGHLY important for me. The room I was in was cleaned well and I was very comfortable in my room. The service I received was also very good. The reception was very friendly and helpful with signing me in, answering questions and assisting me. The things that may trouble people is the price of the breakfast is quite expensive for what you receive. Especially as someone who came from a country where breakfasts tend to be quite larger in quantity, however I came to find that it was more of a cultural thing to have a smaller breakfast with croissants or other small pastries, cheese, yoghurt, etc. Another thing to note is the price of the hotel may be a little high, but it depends on why you are booking a hotel. I had some classmates that booked hotels further away because they were cheaper, but by the time the totaled the cost of transportation (taxi) from the hotel and to their dorm it ended up essentially being the same price.

Comfort in the centre of Chambery

I had to visit Chambery on my own recently and wanted to book somewhere which was both comfortable (for 6 nights) and where I felt safe and secure. This hotel ticked the boxes for me. The staff made me feel very welcome and most spoke pretty good English. Although this hotel is bang in the town centre my room was very quiet. The swimming pool was a good distraction for me too. The restaurant served a decent breakfast (but no evening meal meaning I had to go off in search of somewhere to eat) but I found friendly restaurants nearby - everything was within walking distance to the hotel. It was also just down the road from both train and bus stations.
Although if you looked closely there were some areas where the decor was a little shabby in the hotel, overall the atmosphere was nice and I enjoyed my stay there.

This hotel is located in the centre of Chambery (20 euro taxi ride from the airport) and appears to have been recently refurbished. Reception staff are helpful and pleasant and always at least one spoke fluent English. Mine was a single room, small but functional with good aircon. great bathroom with a large superb shower - not over a bath which is a big plus. An excellent free wifi connection. There is a small balcony, not sure why, overlooking the busy street however the room was quiet. The only downside to an otherwise excellent hotel is cosmetic The colour scheme of the hotel is battleship grey outside and in, not very cheerful, and the breakfast room is wallpapered to look like books in a library. It doesn't work nor do the high tables and bar stools. I stay in Chambery fairly regularly have tried several similarly priced hotels - this is the best.

My one night stay was fine and I enjoyed being in Chambery. I found the room comfortable and clean but i have stayed in much better four star hotels. The room was fine in size. Bathroom was nice.

Stayed here with my mother and 11 day old baby. The suite was fantastic in design and allowing us both privacy. i did not have to hear her snore and she did not have to hear me get up throughout the night to feed the baby. Both the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable, with plenty of room in both areas. The bathroom was fab and the jacuzzi bath amazing, as was the shower. Overall a fantastic stay.

We were very please we picked Hotel Le Cing, the staff were very helpful and spoke good english (apart fro the night porter) perhaps were asking too much. We didn't use the pool but it did look a lot bigger on the internet. We only stayed two nights then we were returning home, so we didn't need to unpack all our luggage, but had we been staying longer we would have had a serious problem hanging our clothes as there was no wardrobe, only two hangers on hooks.

We stopped at Le Cinq for one night on our way to Italy.

The room was a little small but perfect for our overnight needs. The bathroom was excellent.

At first, parking seemed difficult but there are dropping off bays at the front of the hotel & a public car park behind it, Parking Le Duc.

The bar down the road on the corner, Le Bureau, was very friendly and served good wholesome Savoie food.
