The staff were very nice, very accommodating. When we checked-in, a drunk man came in, shouting he was \"Pere Noel\" (Santa) and took a lot of sachets of coffee creamer. It was surreal and I have no idea how anyone would respond to that, let alone at 10pm, alone (if we hadn't been there) in the lobby.
The room was very basic, but was clean and not overbearing, with a window view of the railway tracks and mountain. As described, except there isn't a room with one double and one king size (as stated on this website, but not by the hotel).
The breakfast was a good continental breakfast; the highlight attraction is a fresh orange juice-squeezing machine, where you put in oranges and watch it squeeze your juice. There was pain-au-chocolat, croissants, two cheeses, a toaster, coffee machine with multiple options, slices of ham and honey/jam tubs - with orange and apple juice (separate from the machine), and water. Also, some fruit compote and yoghurt.

This Ibis hotel is ultra-convenient, comfortable and good value, with all facilities top class. Breakfast is good and starts conveniently at 6am for people catching an early train. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. We have stayed before and will stay again when visiting or stopping off in Chambery.

Clean place for a short stay
The room is ok, it does the job, it's very basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. It's a place just to sleep. The room is not pretty, the bathroom is slightly old and the views are to the train rail, however there is a double window so you don't hear any noise. I would recommend it for a couple of nights.

I only stayed one night at the end of my ski holiday before flying out home. Room was clean, beds comfy, room quiet and dark enough with blackout blinds, TV had a English news channel. Breakfast was varied enough, reception staff very helpful.

The hotel is close to the station but the area is very quiet & only a short walk to the town centre. On arrival I found the hotel was being converted to an Ibis Styles & two floors already had refurbished rooms. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was excellent & the air conditioning was good. the buffet breakfast offered a good choice & all the staff were friendly & helpful.

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and welcoming. They are also very helpful in navigating Chambery. The hotel itself is in a great place. Just a 2 min walk from the train station and close to the city center with lots of shops, restaurants, and historical attractions. Also free wifi and breakfast is available in the morning as well, though you have to pay for that. Would definitely stay there again.

Our 4th visit to Chambery . We had seen this hotel before but never used it. Ideally located next to bus and railway stations.
We arrived to be greeted pleasantly by a friendly young lady. Our room on the 4th floor was bright with a small balcony. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom facilities basic but clean . Despite facing on to a busy road the room was well insulated from sound when the windows were shut.
Chose to have breakfast outside hotel as there were several small cafes and bakery shops nearby. The town has a variety of restaurants and bars to accommodate most tastes

The hotel is quite simple but he beds are comfortable (even if you have a bad back) and the room I had was a good size.
The most impressive thing about this hotel though was the staff. They were incredibly helpful, pleasant and efficient. They always were happy to go that extra mile. At the end of my stay I tried to give them a normal tip and they wouldn't take it saying it was just a pleasure to help!

La chambre est correcte et propre mais la salle de bain date d'un autre temps.... refaire des joints de douche n'est pourtant pas un investissement délirant. Le wifi est inexistant dans cet hôtel, aucune connexion internet n'est donc possible hormis en partage de connexion téléphone. A voir des avis datant de plusieurs mois, il est firt dommage de constater que la direction de cet hôtel ne prends pas en compte les avis constructifs laissés...

Cet ibis style n'en a que le nom et pas le style. la chambre est petite et la moins chère avec vue sur triple voie de chemin de fer mais ça on ne vous le dit pas sur le site hotel.com. En contre partie , le personnel est sympathique . Hôtel juste équivalent à un ibis budget et encore !!!

Nous avions réservé 2 nuits, plutot IBIS Styles pour le confort que IBIS Budget, ce fut regrettable! Un hôtel vieillot où seules la salle de petit déjeuner et la réception ont été refaites. Les chambres vieillottes, une moquette usée, sale , cache misère au sol, pas de tables de nuit, un tabouret diabolo en plastique à la place! Même Pas une brosse pour les WC ! 2 serviettes pour nous deux, pas une supplémentaire pour se sécher les mains ! Le pompon le 2 eme jour, nous rentrons à 19.00 de randonnée, besoin d'une douche, la chambre pas faite, les serviettes mouillées du matin den boule dans la baignoire!On nous dit COVID, on ne fait pas les chambres !... De qui se moque t-on? Ce ne sont pas des circulaires gouvernementales qui l' imposent ce sont des économies déguisées sur le dos des clients! On vous remet 2 serviettes et un rouleau de papier à la réception comme lorsque vous arrivez en prison...L'ascenseur sur le point de rendre l' âme! Qui nous a prévenus de cet état de fait, mon voucher HOTEL.com NE MENTIONNAIT strictement RIEN! On se moque des clients, le COVID a bon dos! Nous avons passé 3 semaines en CORSE avant de venir à Chambéry, dans un 3 étoiles, et chaque jour notre chambre a été faite, dépoussiérée, lavée, lit fait , draps changés tous les 3 jours, et les mesures hotelières pour le COVID sont les mêmes pour tous en France ! Arrivés à l'hôtel à 1H du matin à cause de retards SNCF. Les restaurants de Chambéry étaient fermés. Le veilleur de nuit nous a préparé un plateau repas. Merci à lui.

Bien situé mais étant très près (collé) a la gare, toute la nuit à entendre passer les trains de marchandise sous ma fenêtre. Une horreur d'insonorisation. Salle de bain vétuste (joints, taille, rideaux de douche). Excellent accueil et très bon petit déjeuner.
