Lovely hotel in pretty setting. Comfortable room. Unfortunately when we arrived we were told there was no availability for a table for dinner that evening and they had tried to call me (unsuccessfully probably as I have a US phone number) but “Rob” booked us into a great casual bistro a few minutes walk away. We were offered a complimentary wine tasting/tour of the wine cellars at 6pm. We arrived for the tour but there was a private party who were booked - the hotel apologized and offered the next tour at 7pm but we declined as we were booked for dinner at 7pm. A lovely gesture was 2 glasses of wine each on the terrace from the hotel. Very nice!

My overall experience staying here was not great, when I arrived I was given a room in the outbuilding which was having renovations done to it, there was plastic along the hallway protecting the carpet from the building work, the radiators were off the wall with building debris on the floor, the hallway was very cold, when I entered the room it was quite tired, there was toilet paper down a dirty toilet with urine stains around the top of the toilet rim! There was mud in the wardrobe that I easily wiped away. I asked at reception if I could change rooms as I explained that I was recovering from pneumonia and the strong smell of paint would have not been good for me, she offered me another room right at the side of this one in the same building which again I explained I was recovering from pneumonia, I asked if it was possible to have a room in the actual chateau, which she then gave me. Such a shame to experience this as I had my lunch at the chateau and had an amazing experience. I will go back to eat in the restaurant it was beautiful.

We just LOVED our stay at the chateau. The room was very clean and well appointed, the food was superb and the staff ever so kind and professional. We also were impressed with the wine tasting tour offered on the day of arrival. Very informative and the wine of very good quality.

We had our dog with us. The garden is small and the only way to eat without leaving the dog in the bedroom was to have room service. The food was excellent.

Disappointing for what could be a really lovely place. The price we paid was reflected in the very small 2nd floor room - the bedside tables completed the width of the room leaving you unable to open the wardrobe door. The bright orange fluffy cushions added nothing to the ambiance of the room, though the window did open onto a lovely countryside view. The air con in our room failed to work, despite the chambermaid trying to sort it - a electric fan was finally provided but proved ineffective in the June heatwave! We had booked for dinner in the restaurant, but were shown an outside table - our request for an inside one was not met as we were told it was full. It was simply too hot to sit out to eat - it was almost 10 minutes before we were given a menu by which time we had decided to go into the town to eat. The menu prices were very expensive but I can’t say if the food was worth it!

Beautiful older property which seems to cater to older clientèle. Old style French hotel , the kind I really like. The well dressed staff strives to give a feeling of old time French hotel luxury . Many upgrades have been done to the rooms to do so. Though the overall effect is very good, it is not far from perfect. These kind of old properties require huge investment to bring everything up to date.

This is a very charming hotel with lots of character. The price to experience was outstanding. The grounds are very pleasant and this a great location to explore the surrounding towns and villages.
Do arrive before 6 pm to take a tour of the wine cellar and try their wines. If you arrive on a weekend make a dinner reservation at their very fine restaurant which can be booked due to its excellent quality. The breakfast pastry is excellent and the setting pleasant. This was a great find!

Great over night stay on our way to Italy. Good pool for relaxing after a long drive and an excellent restaurant with fantastic food. Reception was also very helpful. Our only criticism was that there were a lot of staff in the restaurant doing very little, they were good at looking at you, than wandering off. We would have drunk more at lunch, if we could have got anyone to serve us. Likewise service at the bar before dinner was difficult. I was told by one older man who kept wandering through the bar,that he was busy with a party. That may be but he made no effort to get anyone else to serve me.

Beautiful old chateau - staff were welcoming on arrival. Tha bathroom was beautiful and had a very long soak in the bath after our very long journey. The weather wasn't very good so couldn't see the views from the hotel.

The perfect place to bring your partner, but equally good as a business hotel.
Price surprisingly good, probably because it is in a remote location, miles from large towns.
Restaurant serves very good quality food at reasonable prices (31 euros for 3 course meal), with excellent service.
Location good, if you wish to enjoy a romantic stay or the local activities (walking/hiking/skiiing/parks/lake/thermal spa etc...)
My only (small) complaints are:
- Curtain did not shut the light out properly.
- TV in room needs updating
(I would stay here again, even if the above were not corrected)

Romantic historic chateau
This is a beautiful old place with great charm and ambience. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with great beds and bathrooms and lots of little amenities. The customer service was above and beyond normal levels of service. One example (and there were many): When we arrived after a 7 hour drive with no food, the receptionist fixed us up with wine and cheese on the patio even though the restaurant wasn't open. It went on from there. They simply couldn't do enough for their guests. It makes you really want to take a few extra moments to find hotels like this that are family owned. In this instance, the family is very involved in the day to day operations and it shows! Highly recommended and we will return.

Nice hotel in the countryside of Avignon.
Quaint and good way off the beaten path. Nathalie and Thierry (wife and husband) were both very welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable. The three course dinner was excellent and the chateau is only about a 10 minute drive from the city centre of Avignon, so it's very convenient if your looking for a lively evening after dinner.

A True Chateau Experience
What a great hotel, this was my second time staying there and it was wonderful. Our room had incredible views and a good breeze coming in through the window. We enjoyed a great dinner at the restaurant and perfect service from everyone. The room was in great shape, bathroom as well. Only downside was the pool was still closed on a beautiful day but we just cruised up to a lake 20 minutes up the road. We will definitely be back!

A Wonderful French Experience
Great location, a traditional French Chateau, wonderful food and a wine cellar tour that convinced us to spend lots on quality wines - what more is there to say! A really good location for Brits driving down to the Alps for Skiing - about an hour away from the 3 Valleys and an easy drive. We will go again without doubt.

Our 5 course dinner was excellent, as was the service and the wine cellar is worthy of note, as caters for all tastes from table to something with finesse.

On the whole, a good deal in the 50% off sale. Lovely location and grounds, all with character. Nice big room and bathroom, all very clean and very comfortable bed. The toilet however never stopped filling and the walls are quite thin. We could here those in the neighbouring room go to the loo, open and close the loo door, talking, using the hairdryer etc. Interior of the wing we were in was rather dated but for a 3 star, still nice.
Grounds were a little scraggly, ie, pile of dirt left in progress, but pleasant. The swimming pool and pool area were lovely in the warm weather.
Restaurant was wear my opinion fell down a bit. The 45 euro set menu is a good deal and the quality of the food was excellent, complete with large wine selection. The service however was incredibly slow. It took 30 minutes before our drinks or food order was taken and we were overlooked by several waiters and the breadbasket rounds, despite being very hungry. We also had to ask for water four times before some appeared.

A treat worth keeping some holiday money for
This was a beautiful peaceful place to stay on the last night of our holiday. Amazing, grand setting, but relaxing, very comfortable. Staff made us feel welcome right away and were charming. Meal (costs extra) was delicious completely catering to special request (lactose free) with the choices all explained in English!

We enjoyed two nights at this beautiful hotel. The room was very comfortable. The only downside was that the fan in the bathroom wasn't working very well so the floor got a bit slippery from the steam after two people having a shower.
The food at dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. The weekday evening set menu choice was particularly good value at €26 or €29.
We would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends and family and would go back again.

just what I hoped for
I arrived at the hotel with a smile on my face, it was just what I had hoped for. I have seen the hotel when booking previous stays in this area. This time it I was here with out the family so stayed in this interesting old Château with my husband. The château is just like the photographs, the room was pleasant, the en-suit was big. We had dinner in the huge dinning hall next to the enormous fire place with a fire blazing away, they had a set price menu with interesting food on offer, my husband was amazed when three of his courses arrived on slates. Breakfast in the morning was set out to eat in the large dinning room. I found the place welcoming and comfortable
