Could t figure out how to turn on. My view was the roof of a building. Bathroom had windows for people to ealk. Y and curtain did not do a job of maming it where you couldnt see in. Other than that i had a nice stay. Room was clean.

The entire stay was excellent. The host Carlos, at the front was incredible. He was so helpful. Besides checking us in quickly, he gave us helpful tips on things to do, history information, and even walked my family twice to two incredible restaurants. Over the top a great guy. As a matter of fact, the entire staff was wonderful. The ladies working in the kitchen, the maids were all wonderful. The room was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend the hotel!!!

Great, cute hotel with an incredibly comfortable king size bed. Very cozy. The only downside was a terrible sewer smell from the toilet occasionsaly , but that is a common thing in Cusco area, I guess.

I could not figure out how to get a warm shower in this hotel. They told me the water was working fine, but it was only a couple degrees above freezing. It was pretty miserable when I was coming in to thaw out from the cold air outside. I don’t know if this is a one offer user error, but that was my one complaint outside of you cannot find it if they do not come and find you. You will need to make a call from Wi-Fi on the train station if you don’t have a Sim card.

Bed was comfortable but the property itself is not great. Rooms have a very muggy feeling since there is no circulation of air. We didn’t like breakfast. It is located very conveniently close to the Machupichu pueblo statue, which proved useful for taking walks quickly whenever needed.

The bathroom was dirty and had a musty smell. We had to keep the bathroom door closed all the time to keep the smell out of the room. There were also bugs and mosquitoes because there are no screens on the windows. Lastly, we came back to our room and found they had left the room unlocked after servicing the room. We had a nice breakfast and that is the only good thing I can say about Gringo Bills.

Hotel staff was kind and efficient, the breakfast was great. We had a group of 11 ppl to visit Machu Picchu and they kindly housed all of us affordable. The hotel rooms seems to have been updated vs the photos on Expedia, which was a nice surprise. No ac/heater but the outside temperature was just right so luckily we didn’t have a need. Our only complaint was that our room look did not actually work. If I locked the deadbolt and you turned the outside handle it unlocked the door which defeated the purpose, but it is a safe area.

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights. We had an easy time checking in. The room was very spacious. The beds were comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water. After doing 2 circuits and climbing Huchuy Picchu we wanted to use the hot tub. You have to ask at the front desk to use it, but they gladly cleaned it and filled it for us. The property is in the middle of town, but our room was at the back of the property and it was very quiet. I would gladly stay here again.

**Accommodating Staff with Room Key Oversight**

My recent stay at the hotel was marked by a mix of both positive and challenging experiences. The hotel staff demonstrated exceptional hospitality and went out of their way to accommodate us, especially during a difficult situation.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our train derailed, causing us to arrive close to midnight, well past the regular check-in time. Despite the late hour, a dedicated employee woke up and went downstairs to receive us, ensuring we could settle in comfortably. As a result of the mix-up, I was given a great room, but unfortunately, there was no key available. This meant I had to cross through my friend's room to access mine.

The key oversight led to an unexpected challenge the next morning when I was locked out of my room. Despite the hotel staff's efforts, they did not have a spare key for the room. After waiting for about 30 minutes, they had to resort to breaking a window to grant me access. Fortunately, this incident did not cause us to miss our scheduled Machu Picchu tour.

To prevent similar incidents in the future, I suggest that the hotel keeps handy copies of keys to rooms, ensuring that guests do not face inconvenience or delays in accessing their accommodations. Despite these challenges, I appreciate the efforts of the hotel staff and their commitment to ensuring a comfortable stay for their guests.

The man at the check-in desk was extremely helpful! As soon as I arrived, he automatically notified me that my tour guide for the following day's events had called for me, calling him back so I could speak with him. I definitely appreciate that he remembered to do so. The property itself was unique, very cute! The breakfast area was very nice as well. Great location.. train station, shops, and restaurants were all within a short walking distance. Overall I'd stay here again!

Do not recommend hotels.com or this hotel!!

I was in Peru during the time when the locals of agua caliente were rioting. They blocked the train tracks and Peru rail had to cancel all train tickets due to “safety” for passengers and staff. I asked a hotel for a refund and I received a refund for one day and not my whole stay and have emailed them at least twice with no response. Hotel.com is also not responding to me. I do not recommend this hotel or this booking website. I am a nurse and am making sure to tell all my friends and coworkers to stay away!!!

Gringo Bills has a central location near the plaza and friendly staff. The property unfortunately is in poor shape. The elevator broken, no functioning pool/spa as advertised, loose electric wires in the bathroom and poorly fitted doors/windows resulting in 1000s of flying insects in the room. Thankfully we had only one night here and they allowed us to store our bags while we visited Machu Pichu.

Gringo Bills served our purpose. We arrived in Agues Caliente a day prior to our hike to Machu Picchu. For one night the hotel met our need. The staff was friendly and personable during the stay. The room was clean. Based on reviews the hotel did not exactly match and was not what I expected. It is very very dated and needs a lot of updates. The remote was missing in our room and when attempted to ring front desk, the phone was not working properly. The front desk clerk was kind enough to meet me halfway because there are ALOT of steps. But that’s just Peru in general 😊. The rep informed us that none of the TV’s on our row were working :( disappointing but okay. We had a early time for the mountain. The tile in the bathroom gets very slippery so care is necessary when entering and exiting from the shower and room in general there is only one small rug in front of shower. The noise at night between tipsy tourist and someone filling the hot tub with energetic children in the center of the hotel is a bit disruptive but folks are vacationing so not hotels fault. Overall, if you are looking for a clean, very basic hotel room for a short stay this hotel will do. It is less than 2 min walk to buses to Machu Picchu and Hot Springs! The location cannot be beat hands down!

Shower is not properly sealed, so you basically have a flooded bathroom once you finish taking a shower.

Room is filled with mosquitoes, bathroom window was wide-open, no screen, and room and bathroom had insects all over the ceiling.

Shower was not properly cleaned, there was floss on the floor from some previous guest.

And, we were placed on the 5th floor, elevator not working, and the staff person did not even offer to help carry any bag.

But if you like hotel rooms that smell damp like some abandoned warehouse, walking on a wet bathroom floor, being bitten by mosquitoes, finding hairs from who knows on the nightstand, and paying a disproportionate fee for what you are getting, then you might like the hotel.

The staff was nice but the reason I chose this hotel was for the pool which was in disrepair. The bathroom in the room was open at the top so it was difficult to contain bathroom odors. The shower was also open at the top adding to the humidity of the room. There was heat for the cold but no AC or fan for the heat. Nice balcony and great water pressure. I feel I paid way too much however.

Overall we had an excellent experience at this hotel. However, at check-in there was a confusion as to whether the room booked had been previously paid (It had been). Nevertheless I had to produce my credit card and pay again. Then after logging to the internet I was able to double-check with Expedia and my bank and showed receipts to management. They quickly cancelled the new transaction and refunded me the money. They apologized. No harm done I said and accepted their apology. We stayed three nights. Loved the place and the location

Some of the hotel is still under construction and the elevator did not work the entire length of the stay. As far as I could see the restaurant was only open in the mornings for breakfast. Pool and hot tub were uncovered, but not open might have been the time of year (August). Staff was pleasant, rooms were clean, breakfast was basic but hit the spot. Wifi was spotty in one of the kids rooms and batteries should be checked in the tv remotes we went out and bought some for our room.

Even though I was able to book the hotel, receive confirmation from EXPEDIA and decided to pay the extra $ fees for welcome drink and breakfast. When we arrived at 7pm tired, hungry and looking forward for our room to rest.
The hotel was under construction and in shambles when we arrived. It was night time and now we had nowhere to sleep and had to scramble to find a place to connect on wifi to find a different accommodation and try and have expedia resolve this issue. Once I decided to call them and pay out of pocket for the ONE HOUR phone call the problem was solved but it shouldn't have happened to begin with and even less taken that long to resolve!!!!

I rarely complain but this was ridiculous, When we checked in we were told that we had two complimentary beverages at the bar and that there were tickets that we would be given. We later inquired about those tickets and were told by the same person to just give our room number. After dinner one night we stopped to have our drinks and were not charged. At checkout we were charged for two drinks, we disputed and of course were told that two free drinks was not available. NOTHING other than a pure hustle by GRINGO BILLS. Very sad, they made a great trip into a bad experience, Totally unacceptable. There's plenty of other great places to stay, skip this one. Just horrible that they would do that.

The Hotel is great but I have low scores because of construction going on. I know they are improving. The rooms are very nice thou and the staff friendly. The one thing nice is they give you your first night a free dinner, which was a 3 course meal. I went back and ate the same thing because it was so good and presented like a 4 star resturant. Only one big downside personally for me: the bed was too soft! I was sleeping on air mattress 3 nights in Inca Trail, and was looking forward to a nice firm bed, instead, it felt like air mattress again :) My wife was fine with it though, so it's more of a preference but I don't like so soft beds!!

Very noisy, no water (or glasses for water) in the room, only one roll of toilet paper (ran out, given we were family of 5), low water pressure in shower. No safe box in the room either. Staff was helpful in that someone helped us bring our luggage to the train upon departure. Basically, a 1/2 step above a hostel yet advertised as a \"Boutique Hotel.\"
