Terrazas del Inca has very convenient location to the bus station to Machu Picchu and restaurants/shopping. Breakfast starts at 5:30am and freshly cooked which is very considerate for early hikers and tourists for early entrance time. Room is clean and comfy.

The staff was very attentive. They had a nice Peruvian breakfast spread. I love the open air style of the main room and the decor was very nice. They even suggested a few good restaurants that we are going to go back to the next time in Aguas Caliente/Machu Pichu- and Terrazas del Inca will be our return stay. Thank you very much, Terrazas!

I arrived late due to a mix-up with my train. I still paid for the reservation and kept the reservation. I notified the hotel ahead of time and confirmed my new arrival time with them. When I arrived, the receptionist refused to let me check in or have breakfast. As I tried to explain the situation again, he argued with me and tried to further prevent me from checking in. I was very disappointed by this interaction with the receptionist. The hotel and property were fine otherwise.

The room we go was next to water stream. It was absolutely beautiful view. Though when we opened window noise from people walking on the road was coming. But still the experience was amazing. The location is convenient. Walking distance to all restaurants, local shopping and bus for Macchu Picchu. They even woke up really early and prepared breakfast for us. They even packed a brown bag lunch for all of us, one fruit and bread / muffin to take along.

This hotel was very unique. We stayed on the 3rd floor (no elevator but that wasn’t an issue for us). We had a room with 3 beds which was very convenient for our family. The hotel itself shows its age but it was only one night so we didn’t mind. Breakfast was good, they offered eggs, coffee, cheeses and breads. Our room was a river view (while not attractive due to pollution) it was nice to have the windows open and hear the rush of water to help you sleep. The shower was also spacious.

When we got to the hotel the employee at the desk informed us our hotel room (a honeymoon suite) had been double booked and that we wouldn’t have a room, the room we had already paid for. The woman acted like this was completely acceptable. Aguas Calientes only has so many trains leaving and coming in everyday. The city also only has a few hotels. After complaining multiple times how this is unacceptable the owner came out and paid for us to have a room at another hotel. Happy that we got another room at another hotel, but definitely not the experience I was hoping for when traveling to Machu Picchu for a once in a lifetime trip.

The location is very good, 10 minute walk to the train station that comes from Ollantaytambo, or to Cusco. Restaurants and shops are within a few minute walks. Breakfast was good, and the host was nice and helpful. When we checked in, the lady host said something about the hotel was under maintenance, and she took us to the sister hotel nearby, so we cannot comment about the room. Would stay here again!

We stayed three nights, to arrive ahead of early morning trip to Machu Picchu and to have leisure time afterward. Hotel staff were helpful and accommodating. Buffet breakfast was the best of our trip so far and cook fixed bag lunch for Machu Picchu. Towels were ultra thick and entire hotel seemed new. It was centrally located near everything we needed. 5 minutes to the trains 5 minutes to buses that take you to Machu Picchu. Shopping and restaurants 2÷3 minutes. Helpful staff. I would recommend using google translator and definitely BUG REPELLENT when you go out.

We loved this hotel, situated at the top of the hill away from the noise and directly across from the river that’s like a sweet lullaby. Can’t beat this place for the price. My only complaints would be the super early check out and lack of water pressure and spotty hot water in the shower. Things like that are something I expect when being in a remote place though. Overall great place to stay.

Was disappointed with this hotel. The photos did not reflect the room we were given. We booked the standard room that included welcome drinks that we never received. Our room did not have windows (well, there was a window that faced a wall), poorly lit, and wasn't the cleanest. There were stains on our bed, hair in our shower, and several spiders. It's also located up the hill from the train station, which was challenging to walk up with our large luggage. The only part that was decent was the staff, who were all friendly and helpful. I wouldn't stay longer than one night here if you're just doing Machu Picchu, but even then, stay closer to the train station.

The room was beautiful. Clean bathroom. Our room overlooked the river, providing relaxing white noise that my husband likes for sleeping. Breakfast provided including yogurt, cereal, fruit, juices, and breads. A cook asked if we would like eggs prepared to our preference. We had one big problem - no water in the morning. None. Not the sink, toilet, nor shower. The employee said it would be shut off for two hours, not coming back on until after our checkout to leave for Machu Picchu. I expressed my frustration and he offered to let us come back and shower afterward, but our plans wouldn't allow for the time. For whatever reason, he called about a half hour before our checkout to inform us the water was back on, so we got to take a quick shower. Not sure the issue with running water, but this is unacceptable for what we paid and is not inline with the quality of their other services.

The hotel is 5 minutes walking from train station. We arrived just before 9:00am in Aquas Caliente by train, left the luggage at the hotel and catch the bus to Machu Picchu. Urubamba river is close, but we had the best night sleep. Plenty of restaurants and shopping for souvenirs around. Nice breakfast the next day morning and back to Machu Picchu.

This hotel wasn’t as nice as we were expecting from reviews. Our room was on the bottom floor and walls very thin. There was also a super bright street light that curtains could not stop. Check out is at 9am which is a little odd too. It is in a good location, slightly away from all the hustle and bustle, and super easy to walk to the Machu bus stop. Was a good price, but if you are a light sleeper I’d pay extra to stay somewhere else.

The ground floor room that we had was very humid. Window is meters away from a raging stream of water, which is probably contributing to the humidity. Everything got a specific smell to it due to that. In the morning, windows were solid wet from the inside. In other words, ventilation and heating is not able to deal with that humidity.

There was strike and all road to Ollantaytambo was blocked. The only way to the hotel is taking train from Ollantaytambo. Therefore, I sent a message to the hotel via expedia asking to change my reservation to the next day, but they didn't answer until late night. I called hotel and the manager said I need to cancel it and make a new reservation to change on expedia. However, when I arrived at the hotel, the manager pretended not speaking english and did not give us refund and said the message I received via expedia was from expedia, not from the hotel. It was very ridiculous. If they advised clearly at the first place that no refund could be available as per their policy, I did not feel that bad.

Our Inca Rail train arrived one hour late, it was pouring still someone was waiting for us at the train station. Check in was fast, the room were clean , hot water in shower. Owner and staff were very helpful giving us advice on bus tickets to Macchu Picchu . The only thing that can be of a problem for some people is the noise from the river. It was not a big deal for us , we were so tired after a long journey so we didn't have any problem to sleep. From what I can see most hotels are situated along the river. Hotel is well situated close to bus to MP , train stations, restaurants etc.... Nice place friend staff and owner. Breakfast was good!

This spot is great because it's a little ways off the beaten path, offering a glympse of part of Agua Caliente that we may not have otherwise seen. It's right on the river, which you could hear from our room.

We received excellent service from the staff. They were helpful and went above and beyond. The hotel was very modern with comfortable beds. We could hear the sound of the river from our room. The included breakfast was good with very fast service. My only complaint is the walls are very thin and it was a bit noisy. I expect most places right on the main walkways have the same issue. There was also a bright light that came in the room above the curtains. It would have been nice if that could be turned off later in the evening.

We booked a king size bed and were given two twin beds. We asked for a king size bed and were told the room was not available. The room was small and the bathroom was even smaller. For the money we thought we booked as per the photo where you have a king size bed and were disappointed to say this was the only hotel which we didn't feel was up to the expectation from the hotels we stayed in Peru.
