This is a no-frills hotel. The bed was clean and there was plenty of hot water. However, the bathroom did not have a functioning fan (and windows did not open) which means the moisture just sat in the room. Some of the electrical outlets were held with tape or were not working. Read the hotel details carefully, the front desk is not staffed 24 hours a day. And the entrance to the hotel is through a non-working restaurant front that is open all day and that is not staffed. If you travel alone, this may be a safety/security issue.

the staff was kind! the hotel sitself is not fancy. But, We felt a real local flavor at the hotel, not like chain hotels. all are within walking distance up to 1 km. Nice to recommend!

The room was not all justified to the price you pay, location is off- you need to cross a restaurant and then go to the reception. There’s no elevator or anyone to help you with the luggage- good luck if you’re on the fourth floor. Breakfast was horrible- there was hardly any fruit and everything was stale and nothing was fresh. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone.

Great location close to where the train drops you off without having to walk stairs up into town. Loved that you can hear the river from your room and that it has reliable hot water! They also went above and beyond to have a breakfast baggie ready to take with me to my super early Machu Picchu hike. Would absolutely stay there again!

Great Budget Friendly Stay in Aguas Calientes

Wonderful stay! Shower was hot with lots of pressure. We had a beautiful view of the river. Excellent location within minutes of train stop, plaza, etc. As a family of four (teenagers), we were very happy with the accommodations. Perfect for a quick overnight trip before heading to MP.

Pros: The location is great, and the view behind the hotel is nice. Also, the beds were comfortable.

Cons: NO HOT WATER!! We had two rooms on the 4th floor, which did not get hot water. After complaining multiple times, we got lukewarm water at night 10pm. However, the next morning, the water stopped completely!! I could not take a shower, but my mother was unfortunately in the middle of her shower when it stopped. I think they intentionally turned off the hot water to save money.
The hair dryer was not working either. It was a terrible experience after a long day of exploring Machu Picchu.
Also, the breakfast was pancakes & croissants, plus slices of bananas, pineapple, and papaya.
The family at reception seems friendly, but this hotel is definitely not worth the money we paid. The name & pictures and reviews are misleading!

We would love to say how the stay was, except we were not able to actually stay there due to the dangers presented by the unkept property and by the failure of the hotel to actually provide what was told to us when we made our arrangements. The stairs were under construction, leaving the sides open to our young children to potentially fall to serious injury, my father in law had knee/hip problems and we were promised a room on the first floor but upon arrival we were told the room was up the unsafe stairway. They were also constructing a new terrace where the railing failed to offer any real protection from a fall. When this was brought to their attention they were unwilling to uphold what they agreed to upon us booking our reservation. For the safety of my family, we had to go to another hotel and the staff first offered a one night refund but when we followed through with leaving to another hotel they withdrew that and refused to refund anything at all!

El hotel no es estilo boutique. Se nota que hay mantenimiento en las instalaciones pero de forma poco profesional. Solicitamos una habitación con vista a la montaña y no era así.

We loved the location and warm welcome from the staff. However when we arrived at the room it was not in the best condition.
Beds were comfortable and the sound of the rapids which came through the window, felt like a natural white noise.
Breakfast included was continental and coffee was strong but very good.
It is ok for a night but would not come back again.

This hotel was fantastic! They will meet you at the train station and walk you to the hotel so you that you don't get lost. We had a Riverside room and the river was so loud but we loved it and even slept with the window open for the white noise. We went to Machu Picchu in the morning and they had no problem storing our book bags until 3:00 p.m. when we caught the train back to Cusco. I definitely recommend!!

Dirty, rundown hotel. Room wasn’t cleaned, still had trash from previous guest and bugs found in room and sheets. Door didn’t lock. Hotel offered to watch our things after checkout and items were never stored in secure place. Do not recommend.

This hotel is convenient and walkable from transportation, it is generally clean but not well maintained. The bathroom was noticeably bad though. The faucets leaked, it made strange (loud) noises and it didn't smell very good.

This is a small hotel 5 minutes walk to the Inka Rail and Peru Rail train station and 5 minutes to the Machu Picchu bus pickup spot. The hotel is not a three star but worth the $84/night considering that we only had to spend one night. Good value for the money. They set up a nice free BF at 5:30 am for those trying to catch a bus for 7:00 am - 8:00 am slot at Machu Picchu. I would like to recommend an early morning slot for Machu Picchu so you can see it in the cool morning time. We went on Augurst 24, 2024 and it became quite warm after 10:00 am. There is a bus ticket counter in Aguas that stays open till 10:00 pm with no lines. I recommend buying the ticket in Aguas otherwise you pay commission on third party websites. You need to show passport for ID everywhere so carry it with you. We got to the bus stop at 6:15 am and there was a line already with couple of hundred people. But once the buses start running, the line moves quickly and we were at Machu Pichu at 7:20 am. Wonderful trip

We got a room by the stairs that had surrounding windows. So anytime someone walked by the floodlight would light up our room. Also the bathroom was stinky and musty.

The hotel is very centrally located in the small town of Aguas Calientes. Little bodegas and restaurants close by, 10 min walk to the train station, 5 min walk to bus station to Machu Picchu. Beds were comfy, shower had excellent water pressure and hot water. We were in a room towards the back of the building, and there was a strong musty smell in the room itself (Not linens or beds). Recommend asking for a room with a larger window for better ventilation.

Nice room, view of river. Wonderful breakfast. Staff was outstanding and very helpful if needed. Was told someone was going to meet us at train station, no one showed up. Luckily hotel was easy to find after asking for help. Download directions in case you don’t have cell service! Overall, nice stay. Location was perfect. Great restaurants within a very short distance and seemed to be on the quieter end of town.

Huge bang for your buck

For the price, this place is an excellent value. The room was clean and spacious. There was no AC, but it was not needed. The staff really went above and beyond to visit with us, store our bags while we visited Machu Picchu, and even loaned us their own umbrella (which it turns out you can't take into MP, but it was the thought).

Hotel manager and staff are super nice & friendly. He made us extra comfortable and even though we booked one room, he gave us 2 rooms for comfortable sleep overnight. Room were nice & right behind there is water stream. Good breakfast, wakeup call & also very helpful in showing us the ways to catch the bus etc, hold our luggage even though we checked out. After our machu pichu hike we came back and relaxed again at the hotel where we made good friendly conversation with the owner's mom. Overall i liked this place and would definitely stay here again.

A avaliação não pode ser um 8, deve ser menos.

Primeiro que eu acho a nota no aplicativo um pouco alta, em geral eu só reservo locais de 8 acima, mas esse não pode ser um 8. Veja: água do chuveiro de morna para fria, algo terrível depois de chegar de Machu Picchu após uma chuva; o piso do banheiro estava molhado devido a um vazamento ou retorno de água do ralo; servir leite frio no café da manhã, e após solicitar leite quente o mesmo é trazido em um Béquer de plástico, desses utilizados em laboratórios de indústria química; outro aspecto, tive a infelicidade de deixar cair o vidro de remédio do meu filho, logo solicitei limpeza do quarto, resultado: ficou do mesmo jeito. Pior, não tinha um rolo reserva de papel higiênico no quarto... a sorte que sempre levo uma reserva. São detalhes que eu não deveria ficar solicitando ao atendente.
Pontos positivos: conforto da cama; as toalhas de banho extremamente brancas; localização.

Boa opção para uma passagem rápida p Machu Picchu

A Sacred é um local com uma vista privilegiada e um conforto adicional devido ao som da água do Rio que fica na parte de trás. Bem localizada também.
Infelizmente tivemos muita dificuldade pra dormir devido o barulho de outros hospedes chegando e saindo e a luminosidade do quarto que é muito claro e com pouca privacidade.

O hotel tem boa localização, ao lado da praça principal de Machu Picchu Pueblo e e estava limpo e organizado, porém deixa a desejar nos quesitos de conforto. O quarto e banheiro são apertados e só tinham 2 camas para 3 pessoas. Chegamos a noite e não tinha iluminação direito para subir as escadas. Também não tem recepção 24 horas.

Viajamos em 3 pessoas, eu, minha mãe e minha irmã. Passamos duas noites excelentes no Sagres Stone. As camas são muito confortáveis, lençóis macios e limpos, chuveiro quente excelente, silencioso. Além da estadia incrível o atendimento de Jesús é excepcional!! Ele é muito solícito e está sempre a disposição para ajudar e recomendar ótimos passeios e restaurantes em Águas calientes!

Ficamos apenas uma noite na cidadela, para ir a Machu Picchu no dia seguinte. Fomos bem recebidos e tivemos todas as orientações necessárias.

O café da manhã é bom, com uma boa diversidade e disponibilidade.

O lado negativo ficou para a água do banho. A água não esquentou e tivemos que tomar banho frio. Por ser um único dia, não chegou a ser uma frustração, mas não é uma experiência boa, visto que não é uma região de temperaturas altas.

No caminho para Machu Picchu

Nos hospedamos no Sacred Stone por apenas uma noite. Infelizmente não é um hotel que recomendaríamos, pois não tivemos a melhor experiência.
Chegamos já de noite e tivemos que esperar alguns minutos pelo check-in. Ao entrarmos no quarto, o cheiro de mofo foi difícil de ignorar. A colcha da cama também não estava muito limpa e encontrei um cabelo embaixo da minha.
O café da manhã era bem simples, mas foi servido num horário bom, considerando que iríamos sair bem cedo para a visita ao Machu Picchu.
Apesar da experiência ruim com o quarto, fomos bem atendidas no check-in e no check-out por um senhor muito simpático. A localização também era boa, próxima da estação de trem e da praça principal.
