Throughout my life, I can confidently say that this hotel was the worst I’ve ever stayed at. Starting with its terrible location in the scariest part of Hamburg, and the curtains stained with what appeared to be blood—it was a nightmare. There was no elevator, and no one offered to help with our luggage. We deeply regret staying at this hotel and are shocked by the number of positive reviews. I question whether they were genuine or if those reviewers even stayed at the same hotel because our experience was nothing like theirs.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The best thing about it is the location. It’s the perfect location if you’re staying in the Reeperbahn and it’s right next to the train stop. I would stay here again.

So noisy we couldn't sleep an hour... We hates ourselves for booking this place just because it was slightly cheaper than other hotels in the neighborhood. Terrible choice.

Hotel is ok, but in summer room is like a sauna

The hotel is overall just ok. The main issues are the noise and excessive heat in summer. The room not only doesn't have a fan or AC (which I knew) but seems to be built to keep heat inside. It therefore was often hotter in the room than outside. In order to prevent complete heat exhaustion, you must keep the windows open. It is a bit noisy however. Otherwise it might be better to stay there during the colder months. I suggest the hotel make some efforts to install fans at a minimum, or AC if they can.

We had a very bad experience visiting from the United States, our luggages were stolen in that hotel. The receptionist accepted to keep our luggages and later stole them.The case is pending with the Hamburg police.

Check in a breeze, staff attitude proactive. Property is good, but ABSOLUTELY NOT a 3 star hotel. It DOES NOT have: 24hrs reception/security, restaurant, bar, not even VENDING machines. No telephone in rooms, no coffee maker, basically no hall or communal spaces except for an annoying and smelly smoking balcony.
As a 2 star is excellent, as a 3 star is a rip off.

The hotel is centrally located, right next to Reeperbahn, in the heart of the red light district. Easy access by S-Bahn to the rest of the city, within walking distance of the docks if you like a long walk into the centre of town.

The room was nice, mostly quiet for such a central area, fairly well maintained. The reception was manned by helpful and friendly staff.

My one issue was that the shower door didn't close at all, it was stuck half way open. I reported this on the Saturday and it wasn't fixed when I left on Monday, so I had to use copious amounts of towels and try not to flood the room.

Good standard hotel, in a great location, with friendly and helpful staff.

Great location for energetic groups

Clean, comfortable beds and great service. We were a group of 6 on a stag weekend, location was perfect for us. Would advise you don’t stay here if you need a lift, don’t like loud music until 4am or don’t want to stay in the red light district.

Perfect Location

PERFECT location, very easy to travel to and from the airport, via S1. A one minute walk from the hotel to the train. My room had a nice view but there was no elevator and I have a bad knee so climbing up and down from the 4th floor was a bit uncomfortable for me. However, for the price this is very well worth it :)

Short Business Trip to Hamburg.

Room was good and perfect for a single occupancy. The service staff was also quite polite and assisted me with express checkin. The only small problem is the locality besides and in the vicinity of the hotel, however the windows of the rooms are enough sound proof to avoid the roadside and public noises since the are in the vicinity is a kind of party place and you cannot stop anyone from doing it.

Value for Money hotel.

Since the hotel building is quite old, it is better if you ask a room on the 1st Floor (I did so) or else you will end up climbing the stairs until the fourth floor and having a good exercise and incase if you have carrying heavy baggage, then you need to be a regular gym goer.

Overall rating from my side would be 4 out of 5.

The weather was very warm which necessitated the window and balcony door to be open at night. Below was a very noisy disco garden at the rear on Friday and Saturday night (closed on Sunday). This was the three nights of our stay. Good service by the cleaners but the floor needed vacuuming!

Convenient location but hot and loud hotel

The room was clean and the staff was friendly and let us drop our luggage early.

The rooms were clean and small. The small didn't bother us because we used it to sleep only.

The beds are firm and two twin/ single beds pushed together. Which makes it a little awkward for a couple, but this is very common in all of Europe.

I have 2 compounding complaints and 1 minor inconvenience.

1. There are no fans in the room so it gets warm at night unless you open the window. Which leads me to my second complaint.

2. Noise. Because in order to sleep comfortably you need the windows opens, you hear everything happening on the street below.

So you must pick either hot and quiet or loud and cool.

My 3rd complaint is the lack of elevator. I'm in shape so climbing 5 flights of stairs was not to big of a deal. But it's still not fun with luggage.

The hotel is however directly off the S line and right in the heart of all the night life.

Great clean hotel room in the centre of the Reeperbahn.
If you don't mind not having a lift in the hotel, this is the place for you. A bit annoying there is no lift, but vs the price I think it's a great compromise. Happier to have a clean and decent room rather than a lift.
A little noisy in the evenings, but the double glazing is good. So as long as you've got the windows closed, you'll have a sound night's sleep.
Rooms are small, but that's expected from a central and busy location.
Would definitely use this hotel again.

Nice, small hotel in the city

Overall we were quite pleased with the hotel. The location is great if you want to get out and it's very close to a tube station. However, if you're looking for a quiet stay that's probably not the right place. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that when we arrived we had to wait for around 20 min in front of closed doors. Since the front door opens only with the key we had to wait outside as no one was at the reception.

An amazing hotel.. can't fault the quality of the room. However their was noise from a bar/club which you could feel vibrating through the floor and we were on the 1st floor.
Local area, as this hotel is right in the heart of the red light district you get hassled by drug dealers and ladies offering thier services.
But once through the door to the hotel you wouldn't know what's outside.

Clean Hotel... in Red Light District

It's not on Google Maps Street View yet, but is easy enough to find using directions. The hotel is located in Germany's Red Light District - surrounded by adult shops, strip clubs, and very probably brothels. The Main Street looks a bit like a theme park at night, everything is bright and colourful. Lots of casinos. There is also a statue of The Beatles nearby. The hotel lobby is very small and doesn't look like much, but the staff are very friendly and spoke great English. The room, although very small, housed a big bed with comfy pillows and crisp white sheets. The en-suite had many extra amenities (hair dryer, tissues, Q-tips). There was also a large door/window to the outside 'balcony' which was more of a roof/smoking area in between the inner walls of the building. The TV took a while to work and only offered 4 working channels. At 8am I was woken by someone hammering nails and using industrial drilling tools through the nearby walls inside the hotel. This was VERY loud and I'm sure it was unnecessary to do so when guests were still asleep.

Greit hotel midt på Reeperbahn

West hotel på Reperbahn er greit, men forvent ikke noe luxus, rommet er meget enkel og bærer preg av at være slit, men for bare å sove der er det o.k - det anbefales å ha med ørepropper, det er usannsynlig mye støy fra gaten og diskotek ved siden av hotellet (gir seg ca 03:30) - minimalt bad. Frokost er det ikke mulig å få på hotellet, men man kan avtale og betale for frokost på Hotel Cult overfor, eller som vi gå til bakeren ca 100 meter derfra, der er det veldig god frokost. Det er mye folk rundt hotellet spesielt etter kl 22 om kvelden, men er man der for å ha det gøy er man plassert midt på «syndens mil» med mye puber og diverse mer suspekte etablisementer. De var veldig hyggelig i resepsjonen.

Sweet little place that is fine for bridging the night, but not a place I would stay more than one night in. It is very well isolated from outside noise, but some guests were shockingly loud in the morning hours before checkout (8 to 9 am, while checkout is at 11 am).

Check-In and the evening at the accomodation were simple and pleasant (even if we were met with a surprise 'culture tax' of 4€). The gentleman at the reception was very kind despite us looking a little funny wearing costumes after a convention. He gave us our room card, and all was well.

After our rest, which went largely undisturbed until after 8 am, as mentioned above. For a little bit, we had no water in the bathroom sink. Not sure why that was. It worked again after about 30 minutes, so I hadn't contacted anyone about it. Since we were about to check-out, we also hadn't gotten to let them know about the little bugs on the walls that we hadn't noticed the night prior.

I would've liked to let someone know. But upon returning to the information, trying to check-out, we found no one at the reception. So we waited. And another pair came down shortly after. Waited with us. 5 minutes. Then they left their card, and told us they had to catch their train. We waited some more. Two more pairs joined us, in those 15 minutes, the phone rang twice, still no person returning to the desk. No little bell either. We added our card to the previous pair's, and left. Unless in a pinch, we probably won't return.

Dark side of night Reeperbahn

Nice and comfy place just in 2 minutes from S-bahn and 10 meters from Reeperbahn str.

Personnel is not really friendly and not demonstrates smile & joy to see new guests, though. But considering most of visiters are guys who seek cheap place for Geschlechtverkehr machen, this \"f*%k you\" face and \"ready to fight\" attitude is understandable

Manden i receptionen var ikke særlig servicemindet, han virkede forvirret og havde ikke styr på vores reservation.

Om morgen var der i ca 10 min ikke vand på værelset og vandtrykket i brusen fra meget lavt.
Det lignede at der var svamp i loftet på badeværelset.

Der sad tydelig skidt på væggen bag døren på værelset og føntørren på badeværelset var heller ikke ren.

Det er ikke et hotel vi kunne finde på at booke igen.

It was my worst hotel experience I have ever had. Most of the problems were related to the hotel staff. We couldn't find anybody at the reception desk during our stay. During check-in, we waited for an hour at the reception for the receptionist to arrive. I didn't see the traditional hotel welcome and check-in procedure at this hotel. They only gave us the room card and that was it.

The room was very uncomfortable. The bed was not suitable for couples; it was a double bed, but we didn't feel comfortable on it. In the room, we couldn't find a kettle, tea set, phone to contact reception, or slippers, which are usually available in most hotels. Another thing I didn't like about this hotel was the room temperature. Even though the electricity was working and the weather was standard spring weather, the room was very cold and didn't warm up. The only thing I can mention about cleanliness is the floor, which wasn't as clean as in other hotels we have stayed in.

Although the hotel is located in the heart of Reeperbahn, the room wasn't too noisy because of the windows. However, every single movement from the corridor felt like it was happening in the room.

The hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but during check-out, you can have coffee at the reception. However, I don't recommend it because it was the worst-tasting coffee I have ever had.

During check-out, a lot of guests were waiting for the receptionist in order to complete their check-out:)

Beim einchecken falsches Zimmer (Bettensaal) zu gewiesen bekommen obwohl Einbettzimmer gebucht (war wohl nix frei????) Der Herr an der Reception ist es dann nächsten Tag aufgefallen. Bei Abreise gab es nicht mal Ermäßigung für die erste Nacht im Bettensaal (übrigens Dusche ohne Tür)

Es una verdadera farsa, pero al final terminas relativamente satisfecho.

Las fotos son de habitación single, te dicen que es compartido entre 10 camas pero la realidad es que son 24, el servicio es tan malo que da risa y no se puede dormir en la noche de tanto ruido y tantas personas entrando y saliendo.

Lo positivo es que estás en la zona de fiesta y más concurrida por las noches, si vas entre amigos, vale la pena!

Wir haben zwei rauchfreie Zimmer nebeneinander gebucht. Im enteffekt wurden uns ein komplett verqualmtes Zimmer zugewiesen, wo der Schlüssel steckte und nicht abziehbar war und die Rezeption Bescheid wusste dass das Schloss kaputt ist und komplett verqualmt war, da andere Gäste es vorher bezogen haben. Dies ist auch nicht sehr hygienekomform da vorher fremde im Zimmer waren und es nicht gereinigt wurde und wir einfach so rein gegangen waren. Zudem hatten wir kein Wasser auf dem Zimmer wie in der Buchungbestätigung stand. Wir haben im Endeffekt im ersten und vierten Stock nächtigen müssen. Sehr unzufriedenstellend.

Das Hotel ist gut geeignet für einen Kurztrip nach HH, wenn man direkt im Geschehen der Reeperbahn dabei sein möchte. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in der 4. Etage, welches zwar recht klein war aber sehr sauber. Das Bett war sehr gut.

War überraschend gut! Sauberes Zimmer, alles da was man braucht, wenn man im Zimmer wirklich nur übernachtet. Das Bad war sehr klein und der Föhn war kaputt, ansonsten wars wirklich gut.
Was ein bisschen seltsam war, ist, dass es keine Rezeption gab, bzw. diese nicht besetzt war. Zum Ein- und Auschecken musste man ins Hotel gegenüber

Super Lage, absoluter Neuzustand und günstig

Für weniger als 60 € pro Nacht haben wir in einer Seitenstraße der Reeperbahn übernachtet. Der Weg zu den Landungsbrücken war entsprechend innerhalb von 15 Minuten geschafft. Das Hotel selbst scheint gerade vollständig renoviert/gebaut worden zu sein. Keinerlei Gebrauchsspuren erkennbar. Schallschutzfenster sorgen für einen ruhigen Schlaf. Und auch das Frühstücksbuffet ist für 6,90 € pro Person konkurrenzlos.

Var ved hotellet for 2 nætter med partner. Behagelig værelse, med en tilstrækkelig renlighed. Knap så imødekommende betjening ved reception, som lå på modsat side af gaden. De kan lide kolibri.

Das Hotel liegt mitten der Reeperbahn. Landungsbrücken und Speicherstadt sehr gut Fussläufig erreichbar. Große Freiheit und andere Sehenswürdigkeiten In der Nähe. Frühstück im Nachbarhotel ist für 6,90€ völlig ok.
Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer im 4.Stock und das ganze ohne Aufzug. :0(
Sauberkeit, Größe des Zimmers und Ausstattung völlig ausreichend für einen Städtetrip.

Check in im Hotel Austria gegenüber, hatte Zimmer 18 klein aber fein,
modern.Gleich bei der Reeperbahn,S-Bahn auch in der nähe.
Für einen Kurztrip zu empfehlen.

+ Neue und sehr saubere Zimmer!
- Rezeption im Hotel nie besetzt, man mus dazu in das gegenüberliegende Hotel Austria
- man kann kaum schlafen da es durch den benachtbarten Nachtclub vom Bass so laut ist das sogar eine Wasserflasche am Nachttisch vibriert.

Enkelt og billigt hotel. Vi fik hvad vi havde forventet. Man skal være opmærksom på at det ligger lige midt i kvarteret omkring Reberban. Men som billig overnatning en hverdag i midtugen kan Hotel West sagtens anbefales. Det er rent og pænt.

För nära reperbahn.

Inget hotell för den som inte känner för att höra reperbahns oljud dygnet runt.
Rummen är helt ok ljudisolerat, men det var så varmt att vi var tvungna att ha fönstren öppna.
Nattklubb vägg i vägg med hotellet som iof var stängt när vi va där. Men kan tänka mig...
