We went for this 175 euro option while visiting family in Hamburg that lives just nearby. We only needed to sleep there so didn’t need anything extravagant.

Everything was very clean but very basic including the furniture in the room and the bathroom cabin.

Oh wow you sell pizzas

On the first night, it was pouring with rain, it was late and i was hungry. I thought oh this is a red Ibis they must do some sort of food. I asked the guy on reception. Any food mate? No nothing was the reply. Following morning i go down for breakfast, new person on reception. I ask about public transport and right behind the receptionists head is a sign saying pizza's for sale, cooked to order. Angry didn't cover it! Other than that, not a bad hotel. It's an Ibis so you know what you're getting

We had two rooms on the 5th floor and both of our bathrooms smelled terrible. Must be a pipe problem. Carpet was old and stained. You get what you pay for. Definity a budget hotel. If this doesn't bother you, the location is great . Close to U-Bahn, Reeperbahn, harbor, Dom. We chose it for the location. Not sure if we want to return to this hotel.

Overall nice hotel, comfortable, parking next to hotel, and if you come with car you get a discount for parking. Enjoyed breakfast. Didn't liked WC- shower capsule that is very small and shower had problem draining water.

We were disappointed that the room wasn’t cleaned or beds made after the first night.

Great value well located clean and tidy hotel

I thought this was a very decent hotel for the price. Nothing fancy but a good sized room in good condition and very clean and comfortable. Location is great if you want to be close to the Reeperbahn party district, and it's right by the St Pauli U-bahn station too. I'd happily stay here again

I booked this room for my parents and my 12 year old nephew! When they arrived they only had a double bed. When they went to ask at reception for an additional bed as we had booked it online with the extra bed they said they did not have one and that my parents and 12 year old nephew had to share a bed. I find this highly unprofessional, and resulted in us having a terrible sleep after a 15 hour drive from England.
When booking online and requesting such amenities if they are not available we should have been told at the time of booking, however not once did we get told prior to our arrival.
The double bed was hardly big enough for two people let alone having to put a 12 year old on the bed too.
I would not be recommending this hotel to anyone, and will also be forwarding this email onto the customer service for the hotel.

Good beds, poor service.

My presence seemed to be an annoyance to the staff. A card in the room reassured and guaranteed that any issue could be resolved in approx 15mins, however this didn't seem to include helping with a forgotten tube of toothpaste for which I was abruptly directed to an external kiosk as the hotel did not provide vanity sets.
Additionally, I ordered some food (a sandwich, sweet and drink) from the hotel on arrival, and was notified after approx 20mins that it was ready for collection from reception. I made my way down and was surprised to be ignored by the front of house team - when I was finally able to catch their attention and ask about collecting my meal I was rudely informed that another colleague would be bringing it through and that I should wait patiently. This was disrespectful and unnecessary.
All in all, not a positive experience despite a comfortable stay. I had booked rooms for myself and 7x colleagues, and will be sure to look at alternative accommodation in the future.

Very good value in a great location.

Stayed one night here. Hotel is one block north of Reeperbahn. 5-minute walk to S-Bahn (S1, S3 lines ) Reeperbahn station or S-Bahn (S1, S3 lines) Landungsbrucken station (which is the stop for the harbour tour boats). Check-in and check-out were fast and smooth. Staff were excellent. The room was clean. IBIS is a brand of the Accor hotel corporation so you can use your Accor-1 frequent stayer card.

A budget hotel in St Pauli will never be anything to write home about. Functional, comfortable, Basic and close to the metro station and 'entertainment'.

Typical IBIS decor. Didn't eat the breakfast so no comment.

The only genuine negative from my stay is the constant noise of drilling coming from the building

Between 0745 and 1830, the sound of drills trying to enter my room from all directions. I understand work is required from time to time, and it wasn't at night, but it drove me mad for the time I was in the room during the day.

In the wonderfully interesting part of Hamburg - St Pauli, this hotel is just what you need: Clean, inexpensive, welcoming and in (in my opinion) the best area of Hamburg! Didn't have the breakfast but I'm sure it's good as Ibis's always are.

The hotel is situated near St. Pauli underground situation therefore making it easily accesible to most parts of town. Just down the road you have all the exciting nightlife within walking distance.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was a very short distance from the underground train and there were lots of small restaurants and convenience stores in the neighborhood. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would most definitely stay at this hotel again.

Well positioned Ibis hotel in St Pauli, Hamburg

This Ibis hotel is in a convenient location nearby St Pauli Metro station line - on the U3 (yellow) line that connects to Hamburg's Central station. The hotel is walkable to the water-front, for those that enjoy wandering a city. The room was clean and standard for an Ibis. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Good service from all staff members also. Nothing at all to fault this hotel

Good solid hotel, well located. Only negative is that a twin has 2 beds that can only actually fit between 2 wall mounted bedside tables so you have a double. They should have just not fitted the bedside tables to the walls.

Modern hotel in the heart of Hamburg

We overnighted before a cruise and found what we have become accustomed to in Ibis Hotels--modern, clean facilities in close proximity to the tourist area. St. Pauli is the red light district of Hamburg, so I wouldn't want to take children here, but it is also full of decent restaurants and stays lively. It is not seedy or threatening. There were lots of people on the street and eating and drinking at bars and cafes along the sidewalks. It was eminently walkable down to the Old Port, to St. Michael's Church and then to the downtown area. Don't miss the Radhus (City Hall). It is a work of art. And the lift to the top of St. Nicolai's ruined tower gives great views of the city.

Fair but beware.

While close to train station, 8 euros by cab, and walkable to the harbor it was right on the fringe of smuttville and I would not want to walk down the street one block away with my kids. The rooms were small but quite. No coffee unless you bought the 11 euro breakfast. There is coffee breakfast rolls 1 block on the smutt street corner. Close to bus and underground stops. Several nice restaurants within a 20 minute walk.

Great value hotel in a good location.

Great value hotel, clean and very well located (2 car parks next door). Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance and also close to underground network. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful eg iron and ironing board brought up immediately when requested. Breakfast was also very good, lots of choice.

Great location. Not to far from the train station or reeperbahn and nice breakfast places around.
The bed is just mattress pad but it wasn't that bad. The heater did take a while to heat up but eventually did get hot.
I would probably stay there again unless I find something cheaper.

Standard Ibis hotel, do not expect anything fantastic but as a base to explore Hamburg its perfect. Rooms are Clean and comfortable, the shower is fantastic although like all ibis it's in a small pod bathroom! Location is great 2 min from reeperbahn and 2 min from st pauli u bahn stop which will have at the 'Rathaus' (town hall) in about 10min. Having seen other 2 star establishments near by I would defiantly stick with an international standard like the ibis.

We chose this Ibis because it was in between train station and cruise terminal, and it was just a block or so from the U-bahn. It was easy to get to using public transportation. We had never heard of the Reeperbahn, but we did not mind the neighborhood. We did not see any sex shows, but we spent a few hours at The Beatles museum. The waterfront was a 20 minute walk, where we caught a tourist bus for a long, enjoyable trip around Hamburg. Ibis has a great buffet breakfast. We stayed at Ibis in Vienna and hoped this one would be as nice. It was.

Wir waren mit unserer Mädelsreisegruppe für zwei Nächte im Ibis. Super zentrale Lage zur Reeperbahn und zum Millerntor Stadion. Das Zimmer ist ok gewesen. Hab mich wohl gefühlt. Es gab aber nur eine Decke, da sollte man bei der Buchung darauf achten. Zimmer war zur Straße aber die Fenster sind hervorragend gewesen. Kein wirklicher Lärm zu hören. Es gab leider nur ein großes Handtuch für jeden. Das war auch das einzigste was es zu bemängeln gab. Das Frühstücksbuffett fand ich super, große Auswahl an allem. Sogar Waffeln konnte man sich frisch zubereiten. Wer da nichts findet....selber schuld. Ich würde dieses Ibis jederzeit wieder buchen.

Auch unser später Check in hat super geklappt und wir wurden herzlich begrüßt. Das Zimmer war relativ klein, aber für einen Kurzurlaub ausreichend. Auf den ersten Blick sauber, auf den zweiten werden dann doch die Gebrauchsspuren sichtbar, gerade im Bad, dass quasi ein komplett Modul aus Kunststoff ist. Wer beengte Räume nicht mag, könnte hier Probleme bekommen.
Das Zimmer zur Straße raus sehr hellhörig, die Fenster nicht richtig dicht, es war sehr kalt im Zimmer, es hat lange gedauert, bis es über die Lüftung warm geworden ist. Wir haben die ganze Zeit die Vorhänge zu gelassen, weil es sonst direkt gezogen hat.

Parkering gik fint og var billigt.
Værelserne rene og pæne.
Sengen var tydeligvis godt brugt. Man lå nærmest i en gryde.

The bed was really hard this time and we ordered it with two single duvets, however that was a bit hard to get to get.
The hotel is located perfectly next to Reeperbahn and Hamburger Dom but without any noice. The parking is good and has a fair price. The u-bahn is 2 minutes away from the hotel, so in 15-20 minutes you are downtown.
