So, location is good. But… the hotel had a lot of problems. Lifts broken on arrival so only stairs available (you had to go outside to get to them) glad to be on first floor and only one lift out of two working over weekend. Pool not working properly - only find out when water is freezing “yes heat pump not working”… Room was ok but… booking for three (2 adults / 1 child) and only towels etc for two and sofa bed not made up and no bedding in room. This could have been because of confusion at check in. When presented with check in form, only my name was correct - everything else wrong. Staff very confused but eventually managed to sort it. We understand that the lift, pool etc not their fault but this time wasn’t good value compared to the last time we stayed. Shame really

Hotel was modern and clean - helpful staff and easily walkable to the old town, the river and the Reeperbahn. The area was quiet with a shop and bakery on the corner. Swimming pool a nice addition. The hotel was very good and good value - would stay again

A home away from home

Sabrina was amazing with us. She helped so much get us all settled in and gave us a drink upon arrival.

Even though their pool was not usable they transferred us by taxi at their cost to another Adina Unit about 10 minutes away and back. Once we figured out how to use the washer and dryer it was fabulous to have one in our until to be able to do our laundry. The kitchen was a full kitchen and saves us money as well. The breakfast offers was fantastic and had a wide choice of options. It definitely felt like a home away from home.

Lovely! Very new and modern, with amazing facilities, very comfortable rooms with every amenity I could think of. Vastly exceeded my expectations. Would 100% stay here again. Easy walk to a number of Hamburg's main attractions. Wish I'd had more time there. The ONLY negative: On-site parking is available, but very expensive (40EUR/day).

The hotel front said the swimming pool is not available due to water quality. But it was not notified to me when booking.
The main reason was the hotel has a swimming pool but i can't use it.
The hotel said it was informed to Hotels.com earlier.
I am very disappointed in this issue.
When i booked a room, it must be informed to me. This is a big issue to me.
I have all capture file for booking.
Pls check and let me know why this happens.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Adina Apartment Hotel Hamburg Michel with our family. The location is perfect—quiet yet close to all major attractions. The apartment was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. Overall it was a nice stay. However, the cleaning crew should clean around the shower stall more thoroughly. I could see the dirt unter the shower stall. For the price the breakfast lag the variety of fruit and pastries. Cloth drier did not work well.
The front desk staff were very helpful and nice.

Check in was friendly and informative advising of us faculties available such as pool and bar. Our room was lovely perfectly clean and well proportioned with comfortable beds and an awesome shower. Turned out pool was not available as there was maintenance issues but this was not very clear to non German speaking guests and not advised in checkin. Also bar was unavailable not open and no explanation provided. Some staff were great others not so helpful. Poor compensation offered for the broken pool and closed bar. Shame as hotel was lovely otherwise.

Amazing stay, we had a long and awkward day, we went to wrong hotel, we booked the room incorrect and the key cards wouldn’t work. The FOH staff dealt with us superbly, thank you Sabrina and her colleague (apologies) …opened my eyes to the world of Adina. It’s the future…

The hotel room was spacious and the bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of food items. We chose the scrambled eggs, which were really good. My only complaint would be the staff that checked us in did not inform us that we needed to book a place for breakfast. We only found out because there was a sign posted in the elevator. When we asked about making a reservation, the staff recommended we head to breakfast early in order to get a spot. We would have preferred to sleep in and have a leisurely breakfast later.

This place is excellent. Definitely pay the extra and get the 1 bedroom it's so worth it. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from a really good grocery store which is perfect. The hotel staff is so friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The location is perfect, it is 15 minutes walk from everywhere you would want to go.

Apartment was comfortable, pool nice, breakfast delicious. Great location - actually walking distance to business and tourism key spots.
You should know:
1. Parking
- parking is in a garage 2m high,
- there might be not enough free parking places in the garage under hotel, in this case you would get directions to the nearest parkings.
2. Covid
- traveling during Covid means you need to book the breakfast time slot previous nights. The same with swimming pool/fitness/sauna

3. Restaurant for lunch or dinner
Is open Tue-Saturday only and we came on Sunday. However there is room service option (didn’t use) and some pre-cooked meals you can buy at reception. Plus there are many restaurants nearby.

Great spot — not flexible

The property is great, but their customer service leaves something to be desired if you have any changes that need to be made. My flight was changed and I had to depart one night early and despite the unforeseen circumstances and giving them two days notice, they would not cancel the final night’s stay and charged full price. The hotel is great, but be sure you don’t need any flexibility at all — if your travel plans change they will not help you.

I love staying at Adina St Michael and have always had a great experience. However, this last time I believe they had a new room attendant that was not as attentive. The first 2 weeks I remember he was being trained by a woman and everything was Excellent!!! After that it was just him and it just wasn't up to par. He didn't replace the dishwasher or washer soap. The bathroom counters were wiped down, I believe, but my items were moved all over the place. The previous attendant followed through on a request I had concerning the comforter and cover, but he didn't. I've requested that I have a sheet or duvet cover separate from the comforter, because I sleep too hot to use the comforter. Unfortunately, he wasn't having it. They were put together every time.

None of this is a deal breaker for me though. I still love Adina Apt and always recommend them;-)

Both myself and my sister have stayed at this hotel before and we would not want to stay anywhere else in Hamburg. We like the opportunity to go for a swim or just relax in the hotel. It is ideally situated for the city, port, trains etc and on Saturday there is a market in the park only a short distance from the hotel. The only thing which I felt was wrong was the cost of a breakfast, better to go to the bakers just a few yards from the hotel and have breakfast there.

management cares and has obviously invested in the property. As an example, when the rooms are being cleaned, there is no slamming of the doors by the maids as per usual, the doors are cushioned properly, and they place a large diametered piece of rope to avoid that all too often slamming we usually hear. A hidden gem, if ever there was one, first class! Pool area is great. Quiet. Worth the money.

It’s a very good apartment. Not as close to the centre as I though but walkable approx 20 mins. The restaurant closes earlier than advertised so ask each night. Reception staff excellent! Would definitely stay again

Apartment we had normal size room would of wanted a little more space really but could not go out on balcony as glass surround no good if you don't like heights. Beds not very comfortable bit too hard for us and sofa not comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful especially in restaurant where a nice chap made an old recipe cocktail for us and his job was in the kitchen food was also nice.

A delightfully spacious room with all the amenities one could wish for meant that my stay was made enjoyable. The shower was powerful, although it occasionally got hot without warning. My bed was comfortable and I was well rested. The TV didn’t have any UK news channels so I had to rely on internet radio for that. Free internet was effective and mini kitchen was ideal. Breakfast was plentiful but expensive. I would certainly use Adina again, but maybe the one in the city centre rather than on the border of the St Pauli area. Customer care was outstanding.

Exploring Hamburg

I have used Adina Hotels on a number of occassions and this Adina Hotel was very good.
The Hotel was close to the Ferry to Helgoland and also had a train station close by to travel to other parts of Hamburg.
The Hotel is quiet modern, with all facilities,a washing machine and clothes drier were also included in the room.
The staff were very efficient and everything was ready when I arrived. I used the bar and restaurant and found the staff very efficient and also an excellent menu.

This was the second time we stayed here. Last time was two years ago. Upkeep is excellent. The wellness area is really nice and clean and the pool is a good length. Maybe the water in the pool could have been a tad warmer. Rooms are excellent, comfy beds,nice bathroom and kitchenette. Only two things - the room was very warm, even with the aircon turned on full and windows open (-4C outside), there were several of us traveling and everyone said the same about their room temperatures. Pool was lovely but could have been a degree or two warmer.

Nice hotel within walking distance of the water.

We can't say enough about our experience at Adina. First time visiting Germany and Felipe was fabulous. He went out of his way to make sure we were welcomed and answered every single question that we had. Room was clean and well equipped. Pool was beautiful, hot tub was awesome, and we even used the workout room. This was a perfect place for our first night in Germany. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thanks Felipe!

This an excellent hotel with big rooms, balconies, great location - central but quiet.. Good shops/market nearby if you are self-catering. Fitness centre is first-class. Needs better quality control on housekeeping - items not replaced (shouldn't take 3 days to fix a bathroom light)

5* - Excellent location. Great apartment.

The hotel is well situated with everything of interest within 20 minutes walking distance. (It is a large city so if you are reasonably fit this hotel should provide a good base without the need to take taxis or public transport.) It is situated in a quiet, modern residential/office area just off one of Hamburg's main roads. There is a baker's shop and a supermarket within 100 yards of the hotel so you can easily save money by doing your own breakfast in the apartment.
The staff were helpful and there was always someone who could speak English if your German was a bit rusty. The room had a fridge/freezer and a minibar with drinks and snacks at extra cost. The room was clean and well maintained and there was a TV in the lounge and in the bedroom.
I would go back to Hamburg and this hotel would be my first choice.

Arriving at Adina although it was surrounded by tall buildings it was a nice area.Reception staff excellent and very helpful,room was very clean to a highstandard and all facilities ie bedding towels etc were all there and a minibar.It was a really enjoyable stay no pressure and it had a balcony to sit out on small but enough.My only gripe was tv only showed 1 bbc and being the bbc it kept repeating same thing everyhour,but most enjoyable stay.
