The Hotel was conveniently located between the U3 and U2 U-Bahn lines, the room was very clean, and the staff very efficient. By declining house keeping, a voucher is left to claim a drink at the bar, which was very useful.

Clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. My only complaint is that the rooms looked larger online (including a sofa and a larger bathroom). The superior room was a bit tight for 2 people for 5 nights. Otherwise, it was an excellent option in Hamburg.

Smallish room with 2 twin beds -- on wheels -- pushed together on wooden floors. Minibar/water was not restocked. Television was not \"smart\" and only broadcast German stations. Area is very gritty -- not unsafe -- just somewhat \"alternative.\"

The hotel was very comfortable, well maintained and perfect for what I wanted. It is opposite the \"DOM\" amusement park which was in operation when I was there. It did not disturb me at all and I guess if you like that type of thing this is a very good location to be at. The hotel provides a great breakfast but at a price - 26euro. It does not serve evening meals so you need to buy in or go out. You are well served if you choose to go out locally but Hamburg has a lot of cool places to go in the city centre. Access to the city centre is a 30 minute stroll of 6 minutes on the UBhan. I can recommend the DB app if you want easy access to tickets and directions etc. I would stay here again.

The USP for this hotel is the room space, it is like an apartment inside with well maintained stylish furnishings. The room has great amenities and is good value for money. I make a point of staying here whenever I visit Hamburg, its that good.

We recently stayed here for the Hamburg Marathon. The hotel is a short walk from the start / finish area, close to public transport, and many good restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was immaculately cleaned daily, and our room was very quiet and comfortable. We look forward to staying with you again soon.

I'll start off by saying, the staff here are fantastic. But cons, then pros.

1. Early check in. When I booked, I enquired about whether I could check in an hour or so earlier. They told me that I can come and ask, but if my room wasn't ready, I could drop off my bags.

When I arrived, I was told \"Your room is available, but we won't give you early check in unless you sign up to our Rewards program\". Being accosted into signing up was an extremely uncomfortable experience.

2. Why am I paying extra for better WiFi? This is, supposedly, a 4 star hotel. If I am paying 175€ a night, I do not, at all, expect to have to PAY MORE for fast WiFi.

3. The Mini Bar prices are insane. Yes, I get it's a convenience thing. But 4€ for a bottle of beer that is 0.80€ in a store is extortionate.

4. The bar selection could use a rethink. A very very basic selection.

5. This is, as I said, supposedly a 4 star hotel. I would argue it's a 3 star. It is certainly overpriced for what it is.

Pros:

1. The suites are awesome. Very big, and having multiple spaces is so nice. (But the bathroom has enough space for a bath too)

2. The staff always say hello and are awesome. They even gave me plasters for my feet when my shoes caused issues.

3. The location is close enough to Reeperbahn where you can walk to it or take a 5 minute Uber. But it's far enough away where you dont get thousands of drunk people stumbling around.

Overall, returning is questionable.

A really good hotel located right next to the Millerntor stadium.
Our room was really big and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was way too overpriced in my opinion so we went to the Ibis nearby and paid half the price, but apart from that I can't fault this hotel.

Great 3 day break in Hamburg

Great stay at NH Hamburg, very pleasant staff, nice room, all necessary toiletries provided. Very central for all attractions. Would definatley recommend this hotel. Breakfast not taken as I thought it was expensive at 22 euro.

Lovely hotel area on one side was ok but a little scruffy in the back streets around although some interesting artisan shops. Near to tube and not too far to walk into town. Staff friendly and room lovely but air conditioning not working so very hot and had to open windows which was then noisy, told reception staff but nothing done. Nice breakfasts

Very helpful, if something was missing it was put right straight away. We have stayed in Hamburg twice before and this one offered the best value and quality for money. 20 minute walk into centre. My toddler grandson was even given his own special toilet pack, including a hairbrush!!

Not the best experience

I don't normally write reviews but we recently stayed here and had multiple problems. We selected twin rooms however we were allocated a double room upon arrival, when we told reception about this we were told that there were no twin rooms available for the night and we would just have to share. We were offered a king size bed so we wouldn't be as close but clearly this wasn't acceptable as it's not what we booked and it was an error on the hotels part. Eventually we were offered a twin room, I believe it was always available but as it was an upgraded room they just didn't want to offer it to us until we started to complain. Our friends were also staying in the hotel and in their room it smelt of smoke and there was a leak from the ceiling which we put a bucket under and it filled up over a couple of days. We tried to use the steam room but it hadn't been cleaned and smelt really had, we called reception and they said a cleaner would be sent up but that never happened. The hotel itself and the rooms are very nice, maybe we just had bad luck but it would put me off staying here again.

Nice Weekend Stop.

We took a short trip to Hamburg and stayed at the NH. The hotel is centrally located, about 15 minutes (walking) from the harbor and another 15 minutes from the city center. The staff was knowledgable about the city, and very helpful in planning how to manage the logistics on foot. As for the room, it was clean, nicely appointed, and very comfortable. We asked for a crib for our baby, which was delivered on-time with an amenity kit of baby shampoo, body lotion, bath gel, sponge, and hairbrush just for her. So thoughtful! The only downsides: no gym, restaurant, or room service. Otherwise, great!

Best Hotel of the Trip

I stayed at four hotels and for me this was the best by a counrty mile. I was greeted at recepion by a female who was extremely friendly (big smile) and booked in. The room was magnificent and it was only when checking out that I found out I had been given a free upgrade to a suite. The room was modern, obviously very spacious and in spotless condition. The bathroom had a big walk in shower, complimentary dressing growns and all the other usual complimentary bits. The bed was huge and very comfortable. I did not hear a sound from any other guests while in the room.
If you get chance to stay here then do it as it's the best value for money you'll get!

Great Hotel and Friendly Staff

Very nice, clean hotel with extremely friendly staff and large comfortable (#523) room. The only thing this hotel needs is a gym. It does have a sauna, but that should be complemented with a few workout devices (treadmill, elliptical, some weights) instead of the existing lounge chairs that it has.

Just a ½ mile away from the Reeperbahn and with a few nice bars, food places and mini-mart on the same street.

Lovely hotel - great location and very comfortable

We had a great stay here. We wanted to be close to the ‘edgy’ and trendy St Pauli quarter but not right in the middle of it. This was perfect and it was an added bonus that it’s right by a lovely quirky shopping street (Marktstraße) and a short walk from Schanze which seems to be where the Hamburg hipsters hang out. Our room was really comfortable and the staff were great. We didn’t take the hotel breakfast - we thought it was quite expensive and so we just got a coffee and a bite from one of the local cafes. The funfair over the street from the hotel was on when we stayed here but it didn’t disturb us. It added to the experience in our view.

We stayed at this hotel twice in December. Our first stay was two days, our second stay was 5 days. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a full breakfast offered on site for an additional charge. Breakfast is expensive, 24 euros, however it is convenient and has a wide variety of items.
The hotel is within walking distance of the U-ban and bus lines and is located right across from exhibition hall. We will definitely book this hotel again when we return to Hamburg.

A wonderful experience!

We stayed with our toddler for a week at this hotel during New Year. The hotel was recently renovated and had a relaxed and modern feel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleverly designed and spacious. Our room consisted basically of 2 bedrooms, which gave us all more privacy and space to rest better. Housekeeping was brilliant, discreet and friendly, leaving the room very clean and well stocked with whatever you could possibly need. We found the breakfast buffet of a very high standard. It had a large variety of tasty options, suitable for all tastes, plus, breakfast was served until 11am, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay even more. The breakfast staff were exceptionally attentive and polite, especially to families with smaller children. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! Highly recommend it!

Visiting NH Collection in Hamburg City was a great pleasure. The service level is really excellent and the rooms are bright, clean and very well equipped. I would definitely choose this hotel again. Upon first impressions, the hotel ticked all the right boxes. But on the 3rd or 4th occasion where our key card did not work and we couldn't get into our room without waiting an eternity for an elevator that was probably past it's best before date, to get to the lobby to again have our key card re-set, our patience began to wear thin. Staff were helpful bar one, rooms were clean and spacious.
