When we arrived the staff was just great. With great sense og humor and very helpfull. Of cause it helped that we got an upgrade, but anyway we would have been very happy. That is also due to the ability to park in the cellar, and of cause the very, very central position. It took less than 10 minutes to get to the central Rathaus. We startede planning goint back to Citadines while we where there. The next time with our grown up kids. (where we of cause pay for them...)

The apartment accommodation is above average with a large kitchen area, extra pillows and lots of cost hangers. Free coffee was available all day from the dining area. Staff were helpful and accommodating.

The dining area environment was basic as was the breakfast, excellent for Continental but poor for an English.

The staff are very nice and helpful. There is a coffee machine available 24 hours a day. The rooms are large, good standard. Good cleaning. There is a gym available. 3 washing machines and 3 dryers available. This is a very good hotel.

Appreciated healthy breakfast options, cleanliness, kettle, safe, morning desk staff, comfortable bed & pillows, location walkable to sites.

Waited about 30 minutes upon arrival for any staff to appear in lobby. With that, there could be security concerns as the front door was opening for anyone. Then was given room whose connection to TV was down & had light fixtures that didn't work making room too dark to do work. So had to repack everything & move. Moved to room on 1st floor off the 6 lane traffic on street. Despite the check in & room issues, they wanted to charge me more for a room off the street.

The room was comfortable, the breakfasts varied and delicious. We hired hotel bikes for 24 hours for €14 each. All staff (except one man) were friendly and helpful. It was next to lovely St Michaelis church and walking distance to centre and docks. I would recommend this hotel.

All in all we were happy with our stay. The location was excellent.
The room had a nice layout and look, but needed a more thorough cleaning in the corners.
The bed was very comfortable, but unfortunately the sofa bed was neither comfortable as a sofa or a bed.
The staff was nice and helpful.

All was great for a family traveling with a 1 and 3-year old.

Only negative, was that the pullout couch was uncomfortable (noisy, and uneven). However, for a small child, it was fine.

You got to be prepared for a noisy street and church bells throughout the night if your windows need to be open.

Not worth the cost

The hotel is far from restaurants and shops. The rooms look good at first glance, but then you realize that the shower nozzle won't stay in place, the floors in the room are dirty, the lamps don't all work, and the noise from other rooms and slamming doors jolt you out of bed. It felt like a homeless shelter that had been lightly renovated. Is that too harsh? Lol

10' from the attractions in Hamburg, you can walk anywhere.
Coffee, water, tea, free 24 hours. Laundry facilities, clean, the room very comfortable and spacious.

Stayed as family of 4 adults,(parents and grown up sons). Stayed 12th-14th December 2023. Had 2 rooms. Had to walk through one to get to the other, which was the main bedroom, with ensuite shower room and toilet. Queen size bed. Interestingly enough, the first room, on entering, was more of a kitchenette, dining room and lounge, with a double pull out bed settee. It had a full size cooker, a fridge, a microwave and all plates, cutlery and utilities. It was therefore capable of being self catering, if required. Then just convert the settee into a double/king size bed for sleeping. This particular room had a full size dining table and a large tv. It also had it's own ensuite bathroom and toilet. The back bedroom also had a large TV and a FREE SAFE. The whole room/apartment was unexpected and was just brilliant. So, it basically slept 4 adults, with 2 bathrooms and toilets and self catering kitchen facilities. FANTASATIC.
We caught the S-Bahn train from Hamburg airport, heading towards Wedel and got off at Stadthausbrucke. It took just over half hour and was just 3.30 Euros one way. The hotel was practically in front of us and a 3 minute walk from the station.
I highly recommend this hotel. It is modern, clean and has everything. One of the things that impressed us was that there was FREE hot drinks 24/7

Very nice little studio. Very close to everything. Although the studio faced the main road, once the windows were closed, it was quiet. Very friendly staff and well equipped kitchen. Just be aware that parking needs to be reserved well in advance. We needed to park in a parking garage 10 minutes walk away, which was not very convenient.

The ‘deluxe’ room didn’t live up to the name — and ‘complimentary bottle of wine’ for our room was very small, not even enough for a glass each.

Had trouble getting the front desk on the phone to confirm parking, however there was availability tight in front of the hotel. The street parking didn’t charge 2000 uhr - 0900 uhr.
With our silver status the room came with a free bottle of one, though it was miniature (for anyone trying to share)
Room was good size for three friends!
Though the AC in the living room space didn’t seem to work and the bedroom AC only ran part of the night.

Decent location, definitely able to walk to some restaurants or train station. We also took Tier scooters to get closer to the sights.

Best hotel I have ever stayed in Europe. It has all my 10 plus. Great location, near everything. Awesome front desk service. They honor upgrades without asking. Room was bigger than I was expecting and super clean. It has everything you deserve to have a beautiful stay. Highly recommended. Definitely I will come back to this spot. 5 minutes walking to red zone, 5 minutes walking to City Hall and 5 minutes Walking to the Sea. I love it!!!

Good location and very clean hotel with helpful staff for all things on our 4 night stay. Even though we had a nice kitchen with a large fridge and a lounge room, off the main bedroom (Queen bed)with en-suite, we were expecting another queen bed. We had a relatively thin mattresses sofa bed that was the converted lounge.
The mattress was uncomfortable for an Adult and 1 child to sleep on over 4 nights.
Breakfast was adequate and rooms quiet.

Living it up in Hamburg!

When we arrived, we received a free upgrade to an apartment. We really enjoyed the two bathrooms and laundry facilities in our spacious apartment. We interacted with several of the front staff, and they were all very welcoming and accommodating. One of the highlights of our stay was the buffet breakfast, which included a wonderful spread of high quality tasty items. I would recommend Citadines to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in the city.

A great central location. Welcoming and helpful staff. The studio apartment was a good size with a well appointed kitchen, comfortable bed and good room service. Breakfast is bookable but we shopped at the local supermarket.
Lovely lounge with very good free tea and coffee and some interesting art books to browse.
Good value for money.
Good bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk.
Would recommend Citadines Michael and stay there again.

Daily servicing is not included and I think it should’ve for the price paid. We were there for 6 nights and should have had one free service. We had to ask for it after 4 days, they had forgotten us. Nice room, quite large fir European standards.

Good choice in central location

Very nice modern hotel, very convenient for the train from and to the airport, and only a short walk from the river ferries. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and I did not hear much from neighbouring rooms. Staff were always friendly, and I did not mind the fact that there was no room cleaning during my short stay. I found a small supermarket and bakery a short walk from the hotel, and there were a few nice restaurants as well.

Hotel was perfect location for the harbour, reeperbahn and sightseeing the rest of the city, we did everything on foot, but if you need the tube the station was just across the road from the hotel. Lovely and clean with acosy reception area and helpful staff. It was a definite thumbs up for us.

The hotel is in a great position an easy walk to the centre of things. There was a super efficient check in , we were there at 11am for a 3pm arrival. As our room was ready we were allowed an early check in. You can help yourself to free hot drinks. The room was comfortable with a kitchenette hob, microwave and dishwasher. The convenient 5 minute proximity of the S Bahn Station is great for the airport transfer.

4 of us including an 11 & 12 yr old stayed in a 1-bed apt for 2 nights. The room was spacious, well appointed and clean with good facilities in room. The sofa bed was comfy but has some jutting metal at the sides when unfolded which sadly my son found the hard way with his shins, luckily just the once.
It is a great location - the S-Bhan stop from the airport is 3min from the hotel and we walked to the main sights and to the shops around Europa Passage shopping centre.
The staff were courteous and efficient, and we were able to get into the room early (c.12.30pm) which was great.
I'd definitely recommend it and would stay again without hesitation.
