The Fergus Cactus Garden is in an ideal location, just slightly up the hill and away from the busy main road. The reception is beside a pool and seating area and close to the restaurant. The lifts are easy to use and move rapidly and the floors are nicely laid out being slightly staggered and some face sundeck areas with jacuzzis (not very warm). Floor nine also has a naturist sundeck. The internal of the hotel is basic in design and appearance but the rooms are spacious with adequate sized bathroom, sleeping area with tv that includes a few regular UK channels and a separate area containing a settee and table. Other features include balcony with furniture, fridge and free, easy to operate digital safe. My room on the seventh floor had a noticeable stench of drains throughout my stay, a fellow traveller staying one floor below and on the opposite side of the building did not have this issue. The breakfasts served were of average standard but the evening buffet was wonderful, and the price included limitless wines, beers and soft drinks.

Disappointing Stay Despite Good Location and Friendly Staff

While the hotel is in a great location and the staff were friendly and tried to help, the overall experience was disappointing due to several major issues that cannot be overlooked.

Our first room had a horrendous smell, and we had to request a change. The second room was only marginally better. Shockingly, the receptionist admitted, \"Yeah, I know, the rooms on that floor really stink,\" indicating that this is a known problem the hotel has chosen to ignore. Room cleanliness was also subpar—dust was visibly falling from the ventilation, a previous guest's razor cap was left on top of the soap dispenser, and the corners of the shower bed were filthy. The silicone work in the bathroom was so poorly done that it looked like a DIY gone wrong.

The breakfast selection was extremely limited, and the food quality was poor. The coffee machines only produced instant coffee, which was a disappointment. On our first morning, we noticed broken glass on the floor, and when we informed the staff, they simply kicked it under another table! To make matters worse, the plates were dirty, and when we pointed this out, the staff silently took them away without offering replacements or an apology. After that experience, we opted to eat at a local coffee shop for the rest of our stay, even though we had already paid for breakfast at the hotel.

Clean and tidy hotel. Air con in rooms pretty much none existent. Food average. The ‘chefs’ live cooking (omelettes in the am, meat and fish later) appear inconvenienced and rude (although all other staff extremely friendly). Not enough staff in restaurant so plates piled up on peoples tables. Having been served undercooked and raw chicken, and also undercooked sausage we ate out for the rest of our holiday. €2 charge to change towels. All Inclusive stops at 11am on final day. May have been 4* in the past but a 3 at best now.

Great Choice! Super Location!

The hotel is centrally located with everything including the beautiful, long, white-sand beach within walking distance. Very friendly, competent reception staff and a quick check-in experience with no waiting. The room (suite) was very large and well furnished with a separate sitting area. We had a lovely balcony with view to the ocean and light tower. The breakfast and dinner buffets were modest but included something for everyone's taste.

The only issue was food, sometimes meat was raw, sometimes pasta was over boiled, some pastries were frozen, breakfasts were quite boring. I got sick after last dinner.
Very nice staff, clean hotel, good location with nice view.

I travel to Morro Jable quite frequently as it is an ideal training base for me - I teach calisthenics so the bars on the beach and the nearby hills make for excellent training conditions. First time I have stayed at Cactus Garden and I absolutely loved it! The staff from the opening greeting could not do any more for you - whether they be reception, waiting or the lovely cleaning ladies. The all inclusive buffets were healthy with loads to choose from - fresh fish and veg which is my staple diet. I stayed over Christmas to focus on work and was left alone, not bothered by other guests and barely heard a soul and I reckon it was half full. Location is perfect. It is about 100m from the fab beach and the beaches and prom are clean and a pleasure to walk, run or cycle. I took the No.10 bus from/to the airport for 10EUROS and its no slower than a taxi and much cheaper. A great bolthole and I will choose this hotel again for sure over the flashier (but no better hotels) further up the coast...

Spent 2 nights there on half board. Hotel easy to find, parking outside ok. Recent renovations means it's all up-to-date inside with all the modern comforts you'd expect. Great view from our balcony of beach only 200 metres away. Food served in a help yourself buffet; choice and quality was fine and, in all honestly, as expected for a hotel that's run by a German company and which caters mainly for their nationals. Pool a bit on the small size but beach is so close that shouldn't be too much of a surprise. Overall rating 4 out of 5.

Cactus Garden in April !

The hotel exceeded all our expectations and superb value for money .
It was immaculate at all times , the rooms were great , we had a sea view studio which was modern and comfortable .
The all inclusive food buffet for breakfast , lunch and dinner were varied , fresh and very good quality .
The all inclusive drinks were good quality and generous to say the least .
Every single member of staff at the hotel from room cleaners to bar staff and receptionists were friendly helpful at all times without exception .
The evening entertainment is minimal but the animation team do a great job with limited resource , and also encourage participation in activities during the day .
We loved our week and didn’t want to come home , and couldn’t fault one thing .

Clean, bright hotel. Excellent location by a beautiful beach. Food was varied and plentiful though some of it wasn’t of great standard. Drinks were ok - soft drinks fine cocktails awful. Beer was apparently good. The inside bar was often closed so meant queues at other bar. Music in restaurant and by the pool was awful and on loop!!
Overall though, good value and nice hotel.

Had a lovely week at this hotel. We were upgraded at checkin. Room was fab, hotel is very clean. Plenty of sun beds this time of year set up on 3 different terraces. Lovely views from rooftop bar. Food was very good, best breakfast pancakes ever! Complimentary fizz from the hotel management on my birthday. All staff are very friendly.

La estancia ha estado genjal. El hotel muy correcto y bastante modernizado. La habitación que nos tocó era amplia, contaba con un recibidor con sofa y todo, y también teníamos un balconcito. El buffet variado y muy correcto.

Como dos pegas solo diría que la piscina es bastante pequeña para toda la gente que algerga el hotel, y que debido el aire por la noche se escuchaba mucho el aire y parecía que algo filtraba por la puerta del balcón, ya que hacía ruidos algo molestos.

Aún así, un hotel de 10, con buen ambiente alrededory facilidad para aparcar el coche. Si volvemos a la isla repetiremos sin dudarlo.

Camera su due livelli con un eccessivo odore di muffa, bagno senza aspiratore; su Expedia erano indicati 3 letti da 1 piazza e mezzo, di cui uno era un divano letto; struttura che necessità di ristrutturazione; colazione abbondante e varia, ma migliorabile nella qualità dei prodotti.

Eravamo già stati al Cactus Garden quando però era Lemon. Ora che è Fergus devonl ammettere che c'è stato qualche miglioramento. In particolare ho apprezzato che al ristorante venisse sempre rifornito il cibo (cosa che in precddenza scarseggiava). Un plauso allo chef italiano Lorenzo, tutte le volte che c'era lui il buffet presentava pietanze dal sapore equilibrato e buone oltre alla sua educazione e simpatia! Il personale di sala da incrementare specie con maggiore afflusso visto che negli ultimi giorni del soggiorno non trovavamo mai bicchieri o piatti o i tavoli restavano con stoviglie sporche ammucchiate. Alla reception siamo stati accolti da una connazionale educata, simpatica cle sorridente! La struttura è sempre al top come posizione (mare raggiungibile a piedi in pochissimo tempo). Stanza sempre pulita (grazie anche alla donna delle pulizie e Rosy), letti comodi e poi una vista meravigliosa del faro. Due jacuzzi riscaldate, di cui quella sul terrazzo però in area per nudisti. Nel soggiorno è compresa una ora di spa, simpatica e gentile la ragazza alla reception, anche se l'acqua della piscina era gelida. Ecco migliorerei questo aspetto. Facilità di parcheggio. Mia recensione è super positiva. Consigliato soggiornare qui

No AC available and no fans were available either when we requested for help. Not even to rent (we would have paid!). My daughter couldn't sleep due to the heat (early august) and my husband took her place so that she could sleep but then he couldn't sleep either due to the heat (despite we left the balcony door wide open, there was zero breeze coming in)...the reception lady didn't seem to care or apologize about it. Overall chaos everywhere due to so many people on narrow corridors. Two small elevators that always had cue of many people waiting for their turn (max capacity 4 people). Breakfast was ok but hard to find a table to use, again due to so many people. When we arrived to check-in, the pool was just closed because someone had pooped in it. Good location near the stores, restaurants and the beach. If you go with family and take a room with two bedrooms (bed sofa and master bedroom) be prepared to the fact that the room with the sofa bed will have no AC, the ceiling fan is more ornament and doesn't provide any breeze. The rooms are fresh and i guess that if you only travel alone or in a couple and are looking for a budget hotel and will only sleep in the master bedroom, this might work. If you are looking to relax, you can forget about staying at this place. This place doesn't deserve the 4 stars. More like 2 or 3.

Malgré les efforts de l’hôtesse d’accueil, la chambre Sante fortement le chlore, peut-être pour masquer des odeurs nauséabondes. Le balcon donnait sur une décharge et des containers. Nous avons demandé à annuler la réservation mais cela était impossible auprès de l’hôtel. Quant au Europa, industriel, sans saveur, l’eau est payante. Nous n’avons trouvé aucun point positif sur cet hôtel. Nous sommes partis du coup, nous sommes partis de l’hôtel sans avoir dormi sur place. Je peux rajouter aussi que le jacuzzi du dernier étage et le solarium était fermé. Il est resté juste une piscine toute petite insuffisant par rapport au nombre de personnes de l’hôtel , à l’entrée de l’hôtel, les poubelles des bordes bordure, rien de bon dans cet hôtel.
Nous allons faire des démarches auprès du site Hotels.com pour demander un remboursement partiel au total du séjour que nous n’avons pas pu effectuer.

Eine Unterkunft welche sehr gut gelegen ist im Touristenzentrum von Moro Jable.

Zum Hotel:
Positiv war das Zimmer, modern und gut eingichtet. Das Wlan hat immer funktioniert. Alles andere sind keine 4 Sterne wert.

Am Hotel angekommen, merkt man das Parkplätze mangelware sind, außer man parkt auf einem Schotterplatz wobei man schnell das Mietauto beschädigen könnte. Weiter gehts zu den Aufzügen. Im Hotel gibt es zwei kleine Aufzüge wo max. 4 Personen reinpassen. Jedesmal bedeutet das bei der Hotelgröße lange warten oder laufen. Das Essen ist schlechter als Kantinenessen. Wenig Auswahl, essen oft kalt, Angestellter maßlos überfordert. Wenn man später zum essen kommt, findet man nur leere Auslagen vor. Tische werden nicht neu eingedeckt, da zu wenig Personal vor Ort ist. Wenn man Halbpension gebucht hat und auf die Getränke warten muss, da die Kellner es nicht schaffen, wartet man auch mal über 30 min.

Zimmer wird nicht richtig gereinigt. Ecken dreckig, Balkon wurde nicht richtig gesäubert.

Rooftopbar über den gesamten Urlaub geschlossen.

Es wirkt als ob hier das Management mal selbst Urlaub machen müsste, um die Misstände zu sehen.

Zusammegfasst, Zimmer sind okay, alles weitere keine 4 Sterne wert.

Die Whirlpools 6. und 9. Stock waren ohne Wasser.
Wir hatten All inklusive gebucht; die Getränkeauswahl war sehr beschränkt und galt nicht für die Baar im 9. Stock. Da wäre All Inklusive Plus notwendig gewesen ???
Die Armaturen der Dusche waren rostig und der Ablauf stank nach Kloake.

Lo único que no me ha gustado de la estancia en el hotel fue la ubicación de la habitación. La gerencia tendrían que cuidar esto. Habitaciones de la 220 a la 223 tienen instalado encima del techo la extracción de humos de la cocina que es encendida desde las 7:45 hasta las 22:30 de la noche generando un gran problema de ruido insoportable para las personas que vamos a descansar...si el hotel quiere mantener estás habitaciones debe hacer un cambio en la instalación de los extractores y cambiarlos de ubicación pero no podéis hacernos esta putada ...porque bien sabéis el ruido que hace porque trabajo en esto y se de lo que hablo. Del resto todo bien.

Het bezoek aan dit hotel is voortgekomen uit een enthousiaste vlog. We wilden een nachtje blijven slapen in Jandia en besloten om ook dit hotel te boeken. Bij aankomst (te vroeg) werden we ontvangen door Patricia, een zeer aardige en toegewijde medewerker. Onze kamer was al klaar. We hadden vanwege de goede aanbieding All Inclusive geboekt maar dat hadden we beter niet kunnen doen. De kamer was heerlijk, het bed geweldig en de badkamer lekker groot. Het eten en drinken echter niet bijzonder. Helaas. Daar hadden we meer van verwacht. De wijn uit de kraan smaakte zo vies, dat we die hebben laten staan. Dit was voor ons wel het besef moment hoe All Inclusive werkt. We konen graag nog een keer terug maar logies ontbijt (zonder cappuccino) is dan meer dan genoeg voor ons.

Muy agradable estancia incluyendo la noche de fin de año. Muy buena experiencia desde la llegada, que en esta caso incluia las normas especificas relativas al covid19, hasta la salida. Personal muy atento, servicial y amable. Magnifica cena de gala de fin de año.
El hotel se encuentra enfrente, aunque de perfil, a la magnifica y super extensa playa del matorral, en la zona hotelera de Morro Jable. Zona muy tranquila y muy agradable para pasear. Hay un doble paseo, el primero en la zona comercial y el segundo, paralelo, bordeando la playa.
El hotel dispone de \"solariums\" en la planta sexta y la novena y ultima, incluyendo terraza y bar con magnificas vistas. Pena que el bar-terraza estuviese cerrado debido a que el hotel, como todos los de la zona debido a la pandemia, estuviese lejos de su plena capacidad.

Buen hotel en calidad-precio, pero cosas a mejorar

Empiezo por lo que debería ser de seguridad y protección, pues es lo que nos preocupa a día de hoy. Por momentos en el restaurante vi bastante colapso, el buffet está diseñado de una manera que es inevitable mantener las distancias, por lo que al igual el hotel debería plantearse disminuir su aforo porque había BASTANTE gente, unido a que la ventilación es muy insuficiente (en muchas comidas sudé como un pollo y los encargados también sudaban a rabiar). Además, el ascensor es utilizado por todos, pero lo peor es que también lo usan con los carros que usan las del servicio de habitaciones...
Y bueno por último, lamentar que el servicio de todo incluido es muy carente, los snacks son muy pocas horas en todo el día (2 ó 3), dándose por finalizada a las 17h por lo que nos quedamos sin comer nada el día de entrada pues llegamos a las 16,45 después de un viaje en barco sin poder haber almorzado. Además las bebidas son de muy mala calidad, el ron miel, el licor de café y el amaretto (fue lo único que pedimos en toda la estancia) eran de garrafon y sabían muy mal.
Por lo demás también es de valorar que tiene un equipo de personal con muy buena atención y muy implicados (sólo un pequeño problema con la cocinera del restaurante que tenía mucha prisa por acabar...) y las instalaciones no están mal a pesar de que la piscina es pequeña para todos los que se hospedan ahí.
