Parfait, top qualité

Excellent séjour, personnel très aimable et attentionné (en particulier les jeunes à la réception), adorable attention pour mon anniversaire, très belle plage, animateurs sympas et dynamiques (bravo pour leur spectacle Grease et Greatest Showman), repas au top, piscine rafraîchissante et très agréable.
C'était notre première fois à Iberostar, nous retenons pour nos prochains séjours !

I booked this hotel based on the reviews I read and considering those and that it is supposedly rated 4 stars, I was disappointed... lets start with the bad:
1. Longer than necessary wait to check in
2. Expedia gold member - all they provided was a bottle of wine and I don't drink.
3. No stock in mini bar - everything must be paid and pre-ordered
4.No water in rooms - they have water stations around the hotel, but taste was not great and for safety I prefer sealed bottled water
5. No tea or coffee facilities in room
6. No Ironing facilities in room
7. No room service
8. Terribly uncomfortable beds and one of our beds was broken when we arrived and we had to wait an hour for someone to come and repair it
9. Terrible pillows and again a long wait to get more
10. The spare sofa bed for my 15 year old, almost 6 foot, 80 kg son was inadequate and hard as a rock - if you are 3 ask for an extra bed!
The good:
1. Very well kept grounds and good cleaning
2. Good variety of food but only one restaurant besides the Tapas bar so it gets busy - go early when they open!
3. We had a sea view room - even though only on the first floor - stunning views!
4. There is a laundry at the hotel (newly opened) and cleaning products / use and ironing facilities for free - but only one washer / dryer
5. You can not buy any canned drinks from the hotel or shop in the hotel, you need to walk to the Spar, around 15/20 min walk away, so not bad, or 5 min taxi into Jandia (around 6 or 7 Euro - book at rec)

We stayed in Jan 2025 with the StarPrestige package. The room was just an average room. The ocean biew was nice, but the sun was very intense on the balcony for the first half of the day so it was hard to enjoy for too long. This resort has just one restaurant- the buffet. There is a limited menu of food at the bowling bar, but we found the food options very limited. At the Iberostar where we stay in Mexico, there are 5 restaurants to choose from, so having just the buffet for dinner was pretty disappointing. I’m confused about the reviews that rave about the food here. It’s lackluster at best. The place is clean - housekeeping did a great job and includes turndown service, which was nice. The StarPrestige pool area was quiet - almost too quiet. We didn’t hang out there much as we found it a bit boring. So if you’re into that, you’ll find it perfect. We used the bowling alley a couple of times. The bowling bar is an adorable little gem to bust the boredom of the resort as a whole with air hockey and billiards - even though the games cost money to play even with the Prestige package. We found it odd that there is only one bathroom in the entire resort? If there was more than 1, we couldn’t find it. If we had to go, we walked all the way to our room. Even the StarPrestige private lounge didn’t have toilets. Everyone was friendly enough, but when compared to other Iberostars we’ve stayed at, we were disappointed as a whole.

behind. The room was a partial sea view which was lovely and not just a glimpse either like so many partial sea view rooms from experience. The rooms were very clean as was the pool area and eating areas. A good choice of food with a few themed nights too. Staff were all very friendly especially the reception staff who were very helpful on check in and out. Entertainment crew worked very hard day and night and the shows were a very good standard. I would recommend the Playa for families with older children over the Park which tended to be mainly younger children. We travelled with 2 mums and 3 boys ages 14 & 16. Well done to all.

first off describing this place with words doesnt do the place any justice. the staff are incredibly professional in what they do, always smiling and helpful in every regards by far the best group of staff in a hotel that ive encountered. the hotel is absolutely top notch with exceptional amenities and wonderful shows at night. the hotel is fabulous with incredible beach views and terrific food services provided at breakfast lunch and dinner times. im only just back from this place and have it booked again it was that good, you will not be disappointed.

Every aspect of this break exceeded our expectations, the Star Prestige lounge was an great touch as we had access to good quality coffee at any time night or day. The hotel, ground and sunbathing areas were very well maintained and the staff could ne be more helpful! I only have one negative comment that while the food was very good the labeling of what was vegetarian was very poor and often the labels either had the incorrect ingredients listed or did not relate to the items they were marking.

Really dissapointing experience. Great location, very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms but the food was awful. Really terrible food. We went all inclusive and it was such a mistake because we really struggled with the food. It all had to do witht the quality of the ingredients, you can tell they are cutting corners with the food. They desperately need a good chef and to invest more in sourcing better quality ingredients. Also, there is no room service or any other payed alternative onsite so you are stuck with the cheap buffet. That basically ruined the whole experience for us. Also the lifts are very outdated and small and some of the hotel infrastructure really needs a makeover. The large pools were really cold so we could not use them. The towels could only be exchanged until 1:30 p.m. which made no sense whatsoever. A special recognition to Olga, the lady that works at the restaurants, she was very friendly and welcoming. Entretainment for children was great, and my daughter really liked Starky.

Some good, some not so good.

Great staff, loads of food and drink included and perfect location for the beach, but the quality of the food was not very good and the beds were poor. You might want to brush up on your German so you can chat to most of the other guests. Oh, and the sunrise from the \"partial sea view\" room was terrific.

Most nights were themed in the restaurant so lots of different things but all very similar - like a dozen or so different fish on the fish night, but little else. The labelling was poor too, so beware if you have any allergies or are vegetarian as some dishes labels as vegetables only contained fish or meat. Also check the freshly cooked food on the griddle, it wasn't always cooked properly - again especially the fish. But if you are careful, you can find plenty of tasty food as there is so much choice.

The king size bed was two singles pushed together, which was to be expected as that is the norm in many Spanish hotels. What we didn't expect was that they are on wheels which do not lock, which I first noticed when sitting up in bed to read and a big gap opened up as the bed moved away from the wall. This problem can also make it either hilarious, interesting or annoying at other times - if you know what I mean 8-)

Overall the staff were great, the drink flowed and the entertainment was excellent, especially the in-house team. A good few days away.

If I had to pick on something there's only one power outlet in the room and it's far away from the bed so extension block and long charging cables are a must!

Well-cleaned resort close to a good beach

No kettle in room. Needed a 20 euro deposit to hire one. Not clear before travel and not clear that is what one has to do. No offer to take said kettle to room to room. No cups for teas or coffee in room; 'borrowed' 2 x cups each day from restaurant. No power outlets by bed for cpap [apnoea machine] or similar. Luckily we took 2 extension leads.
No directions or instructions for air -con control and needs enhancement of general comment about air con from effectiveness; i.e. it says that the system is best if doors are shut but it simply won't work if patio door is not locked; I.e. handle down and interlock made is only way the air con will run.
Rooms are very hot.
Balcony directly overlooked terrace bar.
Jacuzzi inoperative in pool.
Shower scalding on hot water max and no warning.
Laundry promise is inaccurate. We had some washing done and there is a contractual promise on the form that says: \"if handed in before 09.00 am will be returned within 24 hours\". Ours took 2.5 days.
TV reception rubbish.
Wine in bottles in restaurant and bars is good
Help oneself to beer and wine very good.
There are lots of Germans and their 'continental' approach to rule-breaking bed reservations and queue jumping is very frustrating.
The resort would benefit from a smoking area as there is tobacco smoke everywhere.

Relaxing break but with a few minor moans!

Iberostar cannot fail to deliver. This hotel did exactly what we needed, a nice, clean, spacious, modern hotel with the high standards set by Iberostar. The hotel is one of three sharing the same location, to the southern end of Pajara - Jandia & its elevated position gives it a grand feel. To give you a specific breakdown would bore even the average person to tears, so the good: weather, friendliness of Anna at reception (amazingly friendly) quality of food, premium drinks and the good all round feel. The average: typically sunbeds, they go first thing, reserved typically by mainly Germans at this hotel, turning up at 4pm & that wasn't impressive. The beds were rather hard too, but that's typical with this brand. The poor: sunbeds again mentioned and although the good was of great quality it was repetitive and that let itself down on, the beverage machines for soft drinks and coffee & tea were frankly not good at all. It seems Iberostar also has a few miserable employees, entering a bar for a coffee (a nespresso) bar lady threw hands up and shouted 'closed..closed' before storming off in a huff shaking her head, our crime was wanting an Americano and a Cappuccino! But don't let these put you off. Southern Fuerteventura is beautiful so go and relax and enjoy yourself!

Lovely hotel but poor internet connection

This is a lovely hotel. Clean. Close to beach although on a hill. No obvious push chair access to beach. Lovely pool. A rich variety of food. Very Friendly and animated staff. Good entertainment for kids and adults. All inclusive package is very comprehensive. Great views of he sea and hills from the hotel.
The only major down side to this hotel is that there was very poor internet connection and if this is important to you then please choose another hotel otherwise it is a lovely hotel. Also an hour away from the airport but a picturesque journey through the mountains and hills. This might be important if you have little kids who may not like a long transfer.

Great place for family. Fabulous food and drink. I tried all their cocktails, enjoyed them. Staff very very passionate, courteous and friendly. Entertainment department was excellent, special mention for Esther, Kevin, Mattia, Lulu, Stano. Chefs and staff very welcoming and the quality of the ingredients used were very good. We also had a free family photo shoot on the beach and bought some fabulous shots from Vista photography, who operate from the hotel. It was a family holiday that we will never forget, for all the right things.

Nice and clean hotel, friendly staff.

Had to watch football match in German, as most of the guests were German when we arrived.
Though people are not supposed to, most of the sunbeds were taken early in the morning even if not using them.
The same with the evening shows, most seats were taken well before start time.
We were only allowed to use the parasol and sunbeds in the hotel.
At the beach, the hotel does not have any parasol or sunbed, we had to hire them from the beach bars.
Bowling, football table, air hockey, we had to pay for.
The food is good, but the wine, sparkling wines and beer is of poor quality.
The cocktails were OK.
The coffee was very weak.
There was only one treadmill in the gym.
We had to leave a deposit for beach towels.
There is a weekly fee to use the safe.

Great break. Food was really good and varied. The weather was surprisingly good right up to Christmas Day itself which started windy and slightly overcast but soon cleared up. Only issues were lift broken down for a couple of days and bathroom could have done with a decorate/refurb.

Great location

Very nice place. Superb views of the great Jandia beach which stretches forever. Food very good. Lots of choices and nice restaurant with a lovely conservatory to sit in. Well stocked bars and excellent service. It is worth pointing out that this is a 99% German hotel. All fine but you do get presumed to be German and every so often get spoken to in their language, both by staff and fellow guests. Can be a fraction awkward

We spent seven nights here early November - opted for upgrade to seaview suite which gave big balcony, son loungers and pretty direct access onto the beach itself. Good quality food and drink although perhaps the dining area a bit crowded. Well-run hotel with good range of activities. Pools were a bit chilly though. 95% of clients were German so if you don't speak / understand any German, you might feel yourself a bit isolated - although animation team and other staff do speak English when needed!

Comfortable but a little noisy

The service and food was top notch. Only problem was the noise coming from neighbourhood to our room. The bar nearby had some music event going every night till 0:00 AM, which kept us awake, as our balcony was facing directly to that direction. Also there was a noisy ventilation machine next to our balcony that started every morning at 7:30 AM, waking us up. Everything else was really great, and we had a good time. Our only gripe is the mentioned lack of silence at night.

This hotel is perfectly acceptable, but having stayed at an Ibersotar in Brazil before I really couldn't compare the two. Traveled Aug 2011:

Rooms: We had a side sea view room which was facing something of a cliff but the beach was visible. No sun bed on balcony. The bathroom is nice but quite dark, especially over the bath, and the shower pressure was not very strong but adequate. Toilet paper a bit hard too. Basic cane furniture in room. No drinks in the minibar but 2 large bottles of water which are replenished daily. There's a charge for the safe and a deposit for the key must be left.

Restaurants: Didn't visit the themed restaurant but the buffet was quite nice with a good variety. Fresh fish is served daily but beef is not common here. Chicken is also served frequently. Good variety for children. Pool restaurant food is well made and hot but mostly burger, hot dog and pizza with a salad bar though lunch is available in the main buffet as well. No real provision of food after dinner.

Bars: Cocktails made from fresh fruit would make a big improvement to the syrup slush they currently make. Big dissapointment there! Atomosphere generally good but a live act instead of a DJ would also make a big difference (at least once a week). No waiter service. Pool bar drinks limited to slush, soft drinks and beer.

Pool: Didn't feel heated and very crowded around pool. This hotel needs more poolside space. Sometimes lucky to get a sunbed. Towels can only be changed every other day.

Wundervoller Urlaub im Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas – wir kommen wieder! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wir hatten einen traumhaften Aufenthalt im Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen und fühlten uns sofort willkommen. Das gesamte Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und stets hilfsbereit (vom Empfang über die Reinigungskräfte bis hin zum Restaurantteam).

Unser Zimmer war geräumig, sehr sauber und mit einem fantastischen Meerblick. Besonders gefallen hat uns die liebevolle Gestaltung und die ruhige Atmosphäre – perfekt zum Entspannen.

Das Highlight war definitiv das Essen: Eine riesige Auswahl, täglich abwechslungsreich, qualitativ hochwertig und immer frisch. Sowohl beim Frühstück als auch beim Abendessen war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Auch Vegetarier und Kinder finden hier ohne Probleme leckere Optionen.

Die Lage des Hotels ist unschlagbar. Direkt an einem der schönsten Strände Fuerteventuras. Der feine Sandstrand lädt zu langen Spaziergängen ein, und das türkisfarbene Wasser ist einfach nur traumhaft. Liegen und Schirme waren immer ausreichend vorhanden, auch am Poolbereich.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Animations- und Unterhaltungsprogramm: dezent, aber professionell und nie aufdringlich. Unsere Tochter war begeistert vom Teenagerprogramm und den Sportmöglichkeiten.

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können das Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Für eine all Inclusive Reservierung hätten wir erwartet, dass der Safe und die Nutzung der Bowling Bahn kostenlos ist.
Bettwäsche wurde in der ganzen Woche nicht gewechselt. Handtuch Deposit musste bar bezahlt werden. Kein Concierge.

Only one volleyballfield, which is not enough for the amount of guests. Music endend 11:30 pm and after that there was total silence in the bar. No more entertainment at all after that. Loungers at the beach cost extra money per day, because the hotel has none at the beach.
Food was good and the pool was nice.

Hôtel bien situé, en surplomb d’une jolie plage de sable avec un accès direct depuis l’hôtel.
La nourriture est très bonne, variée, avec un thème particulier chaque jour.
Les piscines principales (dont une chauffée) sont agréables.
J’ai été déçus par les points suivants :
- chambres sont mal insonorisées (attention si vous avez des voisins bruyants !!)
- pas de peignoirs à disposition en chambre, pas de chaussons non plus,
- manque de places de parking (difficile d’en trouver une, même en s’éloignant)
- pas de service aux différents bars. On se sert soi même (pour avoir testé d’autres Iberostar dans cette gamme de prix, le service des boissons était réalisé et c’est quand même + sympa).
- qualité des boissons (vins et cocktails) très moyenne, comme dans beaucoup de all inclusive. J’ai été surpris qu’ils ne proposent pas des cocktails “supérieurs” moyennant un supplément.
- coffre en chambre payant (3€ par jour), on n’est pas à ça près ok, mais les gérants de cet établissement a priori le sont ! Pour un 4 étoiles, cela devrait être inclus.

Pour résumé : nous avons passé de bonnes vacances en famille, l’hôtel dispose de tous les services nécessaire pour cela et il est très bien situé. Ce n’est cependant pas le meilleur Iberostar où j’ai séjourné. Le rapport qualité / prix n’est pas à la hauteur. Je n’y retournerai pas.

L'hotel est bien entretenu, les chambres sont spacieuses (/!\ le bruit résonne dans les couloirs donc peut parfois être bruyant surtout quand il y a des départs tôt le matin).

Mycket bra hotell, med service i toppklass, många typer av aktiviteter, hög personaltäthet och bra mat- och dryckesutbud. Enda på minus-sidan för oss var att rummet, som förvisso hade en superfin utsikt mot havet, var daterat inredningsmässigt, samt att ganska många i personalen saknade kunskaper i engelska (tysk-dominerat hotell). Hotellet förtjänar även en bättre butik med mer genuint och kvalitativt utbud. Det kändes konstigt att det såldes kopior på stora varumärken, tror att gästerna hellre hade köpt originalen alternativt helt andra produkter. Men det är bara en iakttagelse, resten av hotellet och upplevelsen var som sagt toppen!

Das Hotel ist schön und gut gelegen. Ein paar Kilometer weiter ist eine kleine Einkaufsstrasse. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Zimmer sauber. Leider werden die Liegestühle bereits am Morgen früh um halb 7 mit Badetücher „besetzt“. Gewisse gehen ans Meer und kommen erst am Nachmittag zurück. Das hat uns sehr gestört, da es sehr schade ist, wenn man mal einbisschen später an den Pool kommt und kaum Platz findet obwohl die meisten Leute nicht am Pool sind.

Allgemein ein gutes Hotel. Beim Essen gab es immer wieder eine Abwechslung und das Personal war zuvorkommend.
Zimmer mit Meerblick sollte es sein, damit man mehr davon hat. Zusätzlich kann man noch Strar Prestige buchen, was sicher auch zu empfehlen ist. Vor allem wenn man den Infinity Pool nutzen will.

Was mich enteuscht hat, ist das keine Musik im Poolbereich läuft, nicht mal ein wenig. Lediglich wenn die Animation läuft. Zusätzlich gibt es keine bediente Poolbar. Alles Selbstbedienung, um kosten zu sparen.

The food is delicious you have many many options so for sure you will always find something to eat and the service is exceptional, ALL persons who work there are unbelievable nice and supportive.

Très bonne situation de l'hôtel sur une plage magnifique. Un bar très agréable, le Coronas, qui surplombe la plage.
Vrai all inclusive avec des boissons de qualité (alcools, jus, café), la nourriture est très variée (beaucoup de choix) mais de qualité inégale et parfois insipide.
Chambre de taille correcte, bien équipée, nettoyée quotidiennement; à noter que les draps n'ont pas été changés sur un séjour de 12 jours...
Point important: il s'agit d'un grand hôtel, qui accueille beaucoup de touristes; durant les vacances de la Toussaint, l'hôtel devait être quasi complet donc: du monde autour des piscines et pas toujours facile de trouver des transats, du bruit dans les couloirs et surtout une cohue dans la salle de restaurant (surtout le soir).

Todo estuvo espectacular. Al personal en general y su atención les damos no 5, sino 6 estrellas; muchas gracias! La comida, bebidas y postres muy muy buenos, para todos los gustos, sana, muy variada y sabrosa; cada día incluyen una especialidad adicional. La playa está bastante cerca y es muy agradable, buena arena y un mar muy disfrutable. Aunque no parezca importante, lo único que pediría es agregar tomacorrientes cerca de las mesas de noche; solo hay uno y muy distante.

Ho trovato tutto eccellente! Lettini sempre disponibili nelle diverse postazioni, vicinanza al mare (e alla spiaggia di 5 km) a cui si accedeva con una stradina di 100 m., sala da pranzo spaziosa. In sala era sempre disponibile il caffè o altre bevande, il vino era a disposizione in bottiglie 7/10 e non da distributore, c'erano sempre 2 carrelli con liquori, grappe e altri superalcoolici in due punti della sala. L'unica cosa negativa è stata la difficoltà di trovare parcheggio.Ci ritorneremo.

Sehr schönes Hotel an super Lage. Der Strand ist traumhaft und zur nächsten Ortschaft ist es nicht weit. Das Personal an der Rezeption und in den Restaurants ist mit wenigen Ausnahmen sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Den einzigen Kritikpunkt sehe ich in den Abendshows, welche sehr unprofessionell und langweilig gestaltet waren.

Me gusto muchisimo el hotel,el personal es maravilloso,el entorno y la playa increible.Esta foto que tienen corresponde a la zona prestige por lo que no deberia anunciarse el hotel con ella ya que induce a engaño,pero el hotel me encanto.
La comida muy variada,el equipo de animacion un 10,todos los dias espectaculo y musica en vivo en el bar,una pega seria que estas rodeada de alemanes pero bueno entiendo que es su turismo mayoritario y viven gracias a ellos.

El personal es super amable, las habitaciones están bien y el TI muy bien. Por poner alguna pega los horarios están adaptados al público alemán por lo que la cena finaliza a las 21:30. Hechamos en falta que nos sirvieran las bebidas en mesa en el restaurante y sopas frías caseras, tipo gazpacho o salmorejo. Pero estos son tan solo sugerencias que podrían hacer que la estancia aún fuera más perfecta. En general todo muy bien.

Un hotel amplio y cuidado, bastante nuevo, pegado a la playa, las vistas preciosas, las instalaciones muy buenas, el \"todo incluido\" estupendo, no ponen problemas de ningún tipo, el buffet variado y el personal estupendo, tuvimos problemas con la recogida hacia el aeropuerto y aunque no estaba contratada con ellos, nos lo solucionaron, mi reconocimiento especial para Ivelina y Katherine, que con una sonrisa nos atendieron y ayudaron en todo momento

Très bel accueil, malgré la barrière de la langue, car les français sont rares ici. Très bel hôtel avec accès à la plage de sable fin.
Les plus: le star prestige avec piscine à débordement, salle de sport et calme assure. Super restauration.
Le moins: pas de transat de l’hôtel à la plage.

Uns hat die Gastfreundschaft gefallen. Die Auswahl vom Essen war grandios und vielfältig .Die Kleine 5 Jahre alt, hatte Spass im Kinder Clup. Schade finde ich nur das es Gäste gibt die am Morgen schon die Liegestühle besetzen und erst Nachmittags kommen. Ansonsten würden wir das Hotel wieder buchen.
