I stayed in a newly renovated Privilege Room, which had access to a private lounge and restaurant offering à la carte menus and breakfast options each day. This add-on was a nice touch and provided a quiet place to enjoy meals away from the busy buffet restaurant. I also liked the spa and the range of treatments. However, all the beaches surrounding the hotel (including the hotel beach at Playa Esmeralda) attract nudists. I found this to be very unpleasant.

The entertainment was excellent especially Wajde in the animation team.
The neds and pillows were really comfortable, but the shower was lacking power.
Food choice was limited as was the drinks at lunch and dinner, the waiters were polite and friendly unless you asked for a second drink, you couldn't self serve which was an inconvenience

Lovely food, quite beautiful hotel, staff more than okay. We had all inclusive for a week and i genuinely recommend this to anyone. Not much to do around it apart from going to beaches, but such is the landscape of the island. For relaxing, soaking in the sun it's more than perfect.

Here for a one week break and deliberately chose it for reasonable access to Cofete and the beaches around Esmeralda. The drive down from the airport was very easy and finding the hotel was a dawdle too. Food was good and varied, as was the drink. I did feel they were slightly understaffed at times particularly at peak meal times.
I would however return, and recommend it to others.

The food was excellent. The pool and pool bar was excellent. The room was comfortable though faces the carpark and had a blocked toilet for 2 days. Checking in and the reception staff were very inadequate. They kept us waiting for an hour to get our room. Wanted loads of pointless information off us when they already had our booking reference and passports we then had to wait another 30 mins for someone to show us the room we could of easily found ourself and then he hung around obviously waiting for a tip????
Two days into our stay after revcirving full payment off us they asked us to reception again to go through all the tedious checking in again because they missed something. I had to tell the confussed girl to do it herslf as i was having breakfast and want nothing more to do with them. After that it was meraculasly all forgotten . I think they need some training put in place as i heard from other people having the same problem with them. I have been to many hotels and never spent more then 15 mins at reception checkong in.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel dal 10 al 24 agosto in vacanza di coppia. La struttura è in una posizione molto tranquilla dell’isola e questo ci ha permesso di fare una vacanza rilassante, inoltre è un punto ventilato e quindi c’è un clima molto più gradevole rispetto ad altri punti dell’ isola. La struttura è organizzata e molto pulita, lo staff è stato molto efficiente sopratutto Gerardo e Maite che hanno dimostrato professionalità ma anche gentilezza. La camera vista mare come la struttura è stata tenuta sempre molto pulita. Le 4 stelle di valutazione sono per la mancanza di acqua a cena per la mezza pensione e per lo scarso intrattenimento serale, ma questo è un gusto personale. Nel complesso una bellissima vacanza, ci torneremo

Great location with direct access to the beautiful Jandia beach. Some parts of the structure are a bit outdated but they are doing a great job in refurbishing and keeping everything extra clean and pristine. The rooms are very new and equipped with everything. The buffet could use some improvement but I am Italian and worked in the hospitality industry ;). The only negative thing was a person at the reception who greeted us with a bad attitude the very first day, but I really hope she was a new hired and still learning the profession.

Excellent, genuine 4 star resort. Outside terrace on top (5) floor overlooking resort and sea. Excellent restaurant on fourth floor - quality food, with daily changes, on a seven day rota. All food hot and fresh. Cava, omelettes, fresh fruit starts off each day to a T. Lots of loungers by pool. Spacious pool, if a little chilly in March! Towels can be changed daily. Nice indoor pool and spa / treatment zone, with gym. Spacious bedrooms with bath, shower and daily toiletries. Comfortable balcony / terrace leading from bedroom. Safety deposit box in room for daily hire. TV with BBC World. Take a look at the family of turtles on floor 1 - so cute! Excellent holiday at a great resort. Would highly recommend

Fantastic hotel and the junior suite was one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in. Couple of minor issues, the beach could probably do with some improved signage around nudism and you have to pay a deposit for towels which is unusual. Other than that, absolutely superb. Very quiet when we went (December) but that suited us perfectly. Food was excellent although I’m not sure why we didn’t get coffee and water replenished in the room. Overall, brilliant stay though

I didn’t start well when they tried to give us a room without the sea view we had paid for and then we had to wait over 4 hours for a room to be ready, but the hotel was nice, clean and tidy, the staff were generally nice and the food was good.

The beach and ability (tide permitting) to walk for miles was lovely. Unfortunately, you could not do this after dark and there was no where else to really walk apart from into the small town in the evening.

The food was good although there wasn’t a great deal of variety. A common complaint with this type of holiday I know but I have been to hotels where the do try and have a different theme every night.

There is also a feeling that the hotel has a class structure. We were full board and at times felt a bit looked down upon by the staff compared to the all inclusive guests. There was then the Privilege guest who had their own restaurant and veranda to sit on which seemed a little strange.

All in all a nice place to spend a week and do not a lot.

The only thing I would say could have made it better would be more tappas choice in the buffet and a different option than having to wear wristbands all week as we had to have these reputation on during the week as they were right.

Mel at reception is a star, such a gentleman and very helpful, all round ray of sunshine!
Lovely room, amazing view, super comfy beds.
Food isn't that great but considering the price, it is more than acceptable.
Selection of drinks is fantastic, would advise going for all-inclusive as drinks are dear on the resort!
Such a shame that the Turkish bath was out of order as I was looking forward to using it.
Jacuzzi is non-heated and outdoors which was a bit of a disappointment. Super convenient to get to the beach but do be ware that part of it is a nadist beach and it is a mainly German holiday resort so sauna is mixed and full nude as well!
Lastly, do bring some euros with you as the spa and certain shops only take cash, no card!
Shared shuttle bus took ages; better organisation would be fantastic; took 2.5 hr to get from airport to resort then aroud 3 hours early for the airport on the way back.

All in all, an amazing holiday, incredible value, thank you Mel and the waiters/ cooks!

Good, spacious room, well cleaned every day, big bed with extra pillows. Bathroom with a bathtub and shower. Fridge is also available. On the territory of the hotel there is a couple of outdoor pools and 1 indoor. Great SPA and gym. Lots of activities thanks to animators : riffle shooting, archery, shuffle board, petanca, tennis, ping pong. Restaurants serve great food.

Most of the guests are older/mature people so no noise or extravagant party atmosphere which is perfect for a restful stay .
Nice shows in the lobby at night , particularly jambo jambo crew was very entertaining.

Close to some great beaches, little isolated

We enjoyed our stay here - the hotel is close to some fantastic beaches which are walkable, and is right on the edge of Costa Calma so very quiet. There seemed to be plenty of space around the pool, and we always got a seat outside on the terrace at breakfast. As we just went B&B, we liked the option of being able to eat a la carte too. The room itself was nothing special - weirdly given a kettle, but no mugs or teabags/coffee! Great views from the bar next to reception too. A car is definitely useful if you want to explore the area, as the hotel is quite isolated (which was perfect for us).

A good hotel that could do with some TLC. Some of the outside areas have cracked and uneven tiles. there are a lot of steps down to the beach. The two nearest beaches are golden sand and popular with naturists.

We were not really enthusiastic about this hotel, Although the rooms and commons are very clean, the architecture of this hotel is lousy. As a result of this, many rooms have no view or an unpleasant view . Ex. seaview rooms look at sea but over the roofs of 1 or 2 or 3 buildings standing in front. If you arre lucky to have a room in the front building over pooland with seaview in the distance,you will eventually be under the main dining room with a lot of noise from 7 to 11 and then from 1 to 3 and then again from 6 to 10.30. The food is very low quality at the buffet but even worse at the pool bar for lunch. Happily we had only a booking B&B but we ate there once in the evening and twice for lunch. After that we would rather go out to eat. Really too expensive for the low quality.

Great but one for the future I think.

Great location if all you want to do is nothing. Which was exactly what we wanted. We stayed in a room which felt dated compared to our friends so maybe they are getting there as far as modernising rooms was concerned. The cleaner was lovely and great at her job it's a shame she had a day off though as her replacement was borderline useless and rude. Had a small problem with cockroaches only a few but it was evident. Hotel itself we really liked it was extremely quiet though even around the pool. When the water aerobics was on it was great to get some music in the background it really made the place come alive. Majority of the staff were lovely a lot of work going on at the time. Sometimes starting as early as half 7 in the morning. Food was reasonable for a all inclusive.

Good choice for a relaxing holiday but quite a long way from the airport. Facilities are generally good. We have now been four times, the hotel has changed to adult only so there are now lots of the older age group visiting. There has been a privilege system introduced at a cost of an extra 20euros per night. which does not seem popular as few people seem to use this. We didi not use the dining room in the privilege as we met other people who did try it out and did not think it was worth paying any extra to eat there as the food was not special enough. We think the hotel should introduce a 'fine dining restaurant' with a good menu for people who would like a change from the general buffet style restaurant available at the hotel.

Love the hotel, our third visit.

Much improved since we were last there - updated gym equipment, WiFi now works in rooms. The hotel is close to two lovely beaches, and only 1km from the north end of Playa Jandia, 18km of sand. Staff friendly and food good with plenty of variety. We liked that it's now adult only.

Location matters sometimes

The hotel is at End of the World. It was nicely decorated for Christmas. Mostly the lounge was impressive.

We got a room which even shouldn’t be a room at all. All of the traffic to the garden and pool area is going through there. Sometimes I felt people were walking and talking next to me in my bed. Also the staff was very loud early mornings talking to each other from a distance. Yes, 8 o ‘clock is still sleeping time for me on a holiday!

I wouldn’t have been noticed anything about the food if I haven’t had been in another hotel days before. After that this seemed a bit basic for me. Fruit, pastries and desserts just right but nothing is plenty. But restaurant staff was very friendly.

Beautiful hotel with fabulous pool.

Really liked this H10 hotel.
The hotel has gorgeous grounds and pretty pools, fabulous views, large attractive bedrooms and balconies, a very attractive atrium and bar with a great dining room where one can eat outside for dinner even in December.
All staff professional and efficient.
Costa Calma is quite isolated and the hotel is on the outskirts so I felt a car was essential. I had very enjoyable day trips by car to La Pared, Ajuy, Gran Tarajhal and Morro Jable. I really liked the harbour in Morro Jable with the Turtle Nursery and the Sting rays swimming with the fishing boats.
Happily recommend this hotel.

Do not get booked into Room 1315, you have to go down a dark corridor to get to the room, bathroom mirror needs replacing, Expedia said we had a double bed, we didn't. Patio needed weeds removed and ample cigarette butts also, the view of the sea was a tiny glimpse of the horizon. Very disappointing. A poor selection of UK TV programmes, we managed to find two out of the 80 available.The hotel has mostly Germans staying and it is geared towards them. Signage needs to be upgraded, it is a large complex and getting around initially has its problems. The spa was under reconstruction so that was out of commission, walking around the pool at night was not easy as the lighting was poor. Plenty of trip hazards to be aware of, eg sun loungers. We asked at reception for two cups to accompany the kettle in the room and were refused them, told to get two from the restaurant the following morning! Not a good service. Although drinks were available at check-in, with a sign stating just that, we were not offered anything. Would we use H10 again, yes we would but certainly not this one.

Lovely location

It's far from the airport, so be ready for it: about 80 Euros and one hour later. Some people take the buses but we opted for simplicity. The hotel's location isn't far from their own private beach. If you want to use the umbrellas or chairs at that beach then that's extra. If you're there multiple days you can get a 15% discount, which we didn't find out about until our next to last day. Some things are difficult if you don't speak Spanish.

Everybody we met was really friendly and helpful. Hotel staff is great!

Great location, facilities and activities on offer every day. Brilliant and attentive staff throughout hotel. Our first family holiday with our 5year old son and it was brilliant. We were half board but for the little extra needed we would return all inclusive. Brilliant relaxing time had.

Fairly decent hotel, certainly doesn't deserve 4 atar rating.
Cleansiness of crockery leaves much to be desired, on one morning I had to go through 10 plates to get 2 clean ones.
The coffee in the restaurant is a new invention of H10, it is some light brown stuff of a unique taste which is the furthest from coffee I ever tasted.
The dust under the beds has not been cleaned for a long time.
Staff seems to be a bit ill informed about the hotel facilities, we had to see the on-site doctor and were informed at the reception that it is a free service, contrary to having to pay for it.
The hotel is very isolated, and there is hardly anything around, so unless the weather is great all the time and you lie on the beach or at the pool, there is no alternative.
The rooms have kettles, bit you have to pay to make your drinks, as cups are not supplied.
I complained to H10 as a result of an earlier contact, was told it would be sorted. This is it, I am still waiting.

Still, there were no annoying insects.
I don't think I would go there again.

Altogether we had a nice stay but the hotel is overpriced if you take into account the services it provides and the quality of its infrastructure... First we received a room of a much lower price range than what we booked. No see view and also not really clean. It was above the disco and very loud in the evening. We asked for a change and got a new room the next day, directly below the restaurant which was very noisy from early morning time.... Room and bathroom needs renovation in several places, which is really disappointing for this price! Staff was usually nice, some ladies in the restaurant area are quite pokey though. Buffet breakfast and dinner was always fresh and very tasty, great number of choices, food altogether was very good. Location of the hotel is nice, right above some beautiful beaches. Would not return to this place, I would look for something with better price/quality ratio.

Nice Hotel on the beach.

We booked the Hotel for one week with breakfast. The room was big and clean. The breakfast was ok. The pool was nice, sometimes entertainment for kids. The hotel is direct on a nice beach. The hotel offers entertainment in the evening. A lot’s of Germans in this hotel!
Most people decided for all inclusive but you will find restaurants and bars near the hotel.

We booked hotel and flight separate. Be careful with Thomas cook! Not the best airline: narrow seats, unfriendly stuff and the flight back was 2h delayed. The airline told us that is normal and the stuff was really unfriendly. Not even an apologies.

Great views and swimming pool

We were satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The swimming pool was great and the customer service very professional. We didn't like the location as there weren't many restaurant or bar options around, and the beach was always windy.

Brilliant hotel, location, but let down

In all the hotel was... Okay. The location is brilliant, right ontop of the beach and what a beach it is! The views from any of the rooms are worth the money alone and the layout of the hotel is fantastic.theres a little beach hut not too far from the hotel which does great piealla.

However!..

If you can speak german then you will have a fantastic time. I can only speak minor spanish and even then i found it hard to communicate to the staff. The staff assumed everyone is german because lets face it, everyone there is. So you best be ready to get up early to put your beach towel on the sunbeds. Breakfast was catered for in german, german sausage etc. Even the signs are in german. I might as well had booked a trip to berlin because the only spanish in the building is the sign outside. I also had a shoe go missing from my room. I am certain it was in there because i went for breakfast, returned to a clean room and a missing shoe. Even after mentioning this to the hotel nothing came of it.

Bar staff, now the bar is open to ''11:00pm'' but if you can find a barman to serve you any drink past 10:00pm other than on the allinclusive list, (8 cocktails) they will give you the no sorry closing soon routeen. My partner asked for a red bull and coke and was told they had no energy drinks, even after pointing them clearly out we just got in responce a repeat of no's untill we walked away. Good luck finding a bar out the hotel because there isnt one. Overall probally wouldnt go back.

Came for a windsurfing week and this hotel was perfect location as you can walk along the beach for 25 mins and then you are there. Hotel was very high quality, bar area was my favourite. Food selection was great for breakfast and for dinner. Pool area large so don't feel like you sitting with loads of people. But sad as renovations were happening on bar balcony so a bit of noise. Spa was also good, I had a great massage. Overall a really great stay

Ok for relaxing holiday.

Beautiful beach, pool area lovely but lots of people \"reserving\" sun beds at 8am. Was disappointed that it was so difficult to organise airport transfer... Not just for me by for other guests I spoke to also. The reception tried to tell me it wasn't possible at first!! An then after demanding they organised one. Hotel is great but seem to be too focused on German package deal guests and find it hard to accommodate independent travellers :(

Beautiful view with brief walk to the beach

Hotel has a great pool and indoor pool. It overlooks the coast and beach. Beach is small but nice with calm water and in 20 minutes you can walk to a huge beach with turquoise water perfect for swimming, also with kite surfing, SUPing, and windsurfing. Hotel buffet has huge variety with average food. Hotel bar is a beautiful place to hang out though the mixed drinks were made with cheap alcohol that tasted terrible. Mini golf, air hockey, ping pong available for extra charge. Activities also daily as was a decent gym. Overall great stay!

Beautiful hotel close to the beach

Wonderful stay the location was great and the hotel was beautiful. The food and entertainment were also very good there was plenty to do at hotel. However no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. At times found it difficult to communicate with some staff members due to language barrier. Also some more support around things to do in the area would be nice. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable, stay I definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely modern hotel, in a quiet location.

A welcome drink on arrival to this attractive, modern hotel was a lovely start to my 10 day solo holiday. Check-in was ok, although I would say more staff would be required for busier periods. The room was spacious and very clean, located on the ground floor of the main block close to the games area and a little noisy at times. Wifi was a little choppy in the room and resturant at times. I did not use all the facilities i.e gym, sauna or pools but enjoyed a massage. Overall would very much recommend this hotel to others.

The room first allocated to us did not have any view and the outside space was adjacent to a dusty track to the beach but when we pointed out that we had booked on the basis that it was a room with a pool view one was found and the staff were very helpful.

Overall great place to stay

The first room they have us was on the ground floor near the beach. It was large and very nice but we found ants crawling all on the bed and floor. They gave us another room for the night then switch us again to a nicer room. So overall it worked out well though was a pain the first night. Service was great as well as the food. Location is also great as its the last hotel in a row of hotels so not lots of traffic, has its own beach and its close to walking to the larger beaches. Its also close to a nice restaurant down the street called Terraza Del Gato. One thing they need to improve is their WiFi. There was Wifi in the lobby but it did not work in the room even though our final room was in the main building. Even at the front desk they tell you to not count on the wifi working in the room. Overall I do recommend it as a very relaxing place to stay.

Very enjoyable 3 night break

Hotel was clean and staff very friendly. The All Inclusive option was excellent value and food was very good with a variety of choice. Pool area was clean and plenty of sun beds available. My only issue was the in room air condinitioning was poor and room was always a little warm. Wonderfull beach just a short stroll through hotel, we will be going back next year !

Lovely hotel in a beautiful relaxing location.

A very relaxing time in a beautiful location. Food was very well done and of very good quality. Great décor around the hotel generally and the pool area particularly. Fantastic beach only a short walk away and a lovely little beach front café / restaurant right overlooking the same beach ( not affiliated with the hotel) All in all an excellent choice for a great relaxing getaway away from the main 'British' resorts. Would definitely go back.
Tip : a short 10 min drive over to La Pared for a stunning long, wide & wild beach and beautiful sunsets is a must!

Nice Enough but No 4 Star

Overall experience ok but nothing special. Rooms are large & comfortable but walls very very thin so we were woken up by other guests constantly throughout the night every night, and every morning. Reception was the slowest we've ever encountered, too small & under manned for the size of the hotel. Breakfast choices were excellent & always fresh, evening buffet was disappointing & bland. Food at pool snack bar was ok but they had a problem with flies everywhere, it was unpleasant swatting them away as you tried to eat. Pool area large with plenty of beds and a short walk to the beach which was beautiful. Good selection of drinks & cocktails in the bar, very efficient & pleasant bar staff.

Great hotel for all kinds of guests.

We really enjoyed our stay at the H10 Sentido Playa Esmeralda. The hotel is close to the beach and in a fairly quiet location with a great view of the sand dunes. The hotel has great facilities and entertainment every evening so lots to do. We would recommend if to anyone else thinking about booking a holiday in Fuerteventura.

Great spring break

This was just a quick 3 night break for my boyfriends birthday. The receptionist was friendly and helpful on arrival. The resturant set up was a little confusing as there was no one to meet and greet but once we understood where to go and what to do it was fine. The food was top notch with a different theme every night with Mexican being our favourite. The pool was big and clean with lots of space to sit and relax. We were more than happy with our room, especially our large balcony that we used in the day and the evening. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely location not so lovely food

Booked and reconfirmed a seaview room paying a lot more for it. When we arrived we got put in a pool view not seaview room.The hotel fixed this the next day as we checked in late but it was a bad start to our stay as the receptionist wasn't very pleasant about it. She did fix the situation but made us feel we were putting her to trouble doing it when we paid well for it! The food in the buffet was not great. I travel a lot and must day this was the worst buffet I have encountered so far. The breakfast was good by the evening meals very poor.

Large Hotel high volume low quality

The hotel is a typical very large package tour type hotel, catering for high volumes of customers. The staff are good, really pleasant and helpful, the condition overall is very good considering the numbers it caters for. I chose the hotel, for a break, manly as is referred itself as a spa hotel, and so wanted to arrange treatments and masaages for my wife as a treat. This was not possible as the limited appointments were already fully booked for my entire stay. The food was very high in quantity, you could eat till you burst, however was low in quality. For example I have never experienced a salad where if you closed you eyes you could not taste the difference between any item you were eating! As you would expect due to the size the dining facility is a large and cavernous dining hall.The best meal I had was from the beach front snack bar in front of the hotel! The hotel is also German focussed, we were one of 6 non-Germanic guests. Not a problem except for example again all room TV channels are German.

Nice hotel with grumpy staff

I've booked a room with in-room massage service, paid extra for each night and when I got there they said i can't have this service in the room, they don't have a masseur,that is another company etc. I'm wondering who did i pay this extra money?! they didn't care about what i said and they didn't even try to solve this thing, they just moved on like nothing happened.
80% of the staff is rude, they hardly ever smile, one of the staff in the restaurant is pushing this trolley full with plates and doesn't care about you, just knocking on the trolley and warning loudly he is coming and you will be hit by him if you don't \"jump\" away.
Not enough staff in restaurant, you need to wait for quite a long time sometimes to get drink.
Food is nice, big selection of different type of foods.
I think it's nice to stay here if you want to relax & not true that nothing is close to the hotel, 15-20 min walk away you can find 3 \"shopping centre\" and restaurants, bars.

Great holiday, good location

Good choice of food, staff very accommodating and polite. Excellent location close to a really good sandy beach just a stroll from the hotel. Great selection of food. During the week you did not get bored of the selection. Nice rooftop terrace too with a good sea view.
