The resort is based in a very lovely place, near the beach. Pools and beaches are very clean.
If you like to travel around the island, the place is great as a base.
Rooms are reflected in the price, but kept nice and tidy by the staff.
there are two things to consider before you go there:
- food is very boring, always the same, uninspiring, choice is very limited and all stinks of cooking oil - you will as well after each visit to the dining area.
- reception team is very unpleasant and full of themselves. They provide a very little support and often look upset when approached. They also don't explain all rules and requirement clearly. We personally had been treated very badly by them (including manager) in front of other guests and when it turned up it was their fault, no apologies were given at all. Don't expect good service there. The experience we had affected our stay really badly, we won't stay there again.

Perfect beach holiday

Very impressed with the hotel and apartments, the complex was spread over a large area and very well designed, it felt open and there were lots of different areas with sun loungers, overlooking the sea in shade or sun, overlooking the pool either the busy main pool or the more quiet pool, which meant even though the hotel was fully booked you could still find quiet places. Every where was clean and tidy and the food was good. It would not take much too bring it up to a 5 star hotel.
Unfortunately we did not initially get the sea view room that we booked, but the manager and staff made up for the error by sending a bottle of champagne and upgrading to gold wristband plus free safe, after 2 days we were moved to a perfect full sea view room, which was very much appreciated.

I did not get my deposit back for towel because i did not have the receipt!!!

Food hygiene and quality of food did not match a 4 star hotel.

Great but not perfect

Only thick curtains, not netted ones as 5yrs ago been taken down. Can't have natural light and privacy on ground floor with public footpath immediately outside. Had to have aircon 24/7 as security risk to open door at night

Solid 3-star experience: Clean, comfortable, adequate, and great value for money.

We stayed at SBH Monica Beach for 5 nights at the beginning of Jan. And for the price, we would have absolutely no hesitation returning to this hotel - in fact we have already discussed doing so at the end of '23.

We're giving our overall experience 3 stars, based upon the following:

Room Accomodation
We stayed in (what we believe was) an Apartment room. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The water pressure and temperature of the shower was great. The bathroom was clean and well presented, with a stong Hair Dryer.

The main room was equipped with a small electric hotplate, that was not needed during our stay. And a fridge that did the job.
The room was spacious, more than enough for two adults. The TV was big, with a decent amount of German and Polish channels to choose from, mostly.

Areas to improve: The bed only came with two pillows, there were no extra pillows stored in the wardrobe. The fridge was empty, some bottles of water would have been nice.

Having walked around the entire complex, we would definitely book a sea-front / sea view room next time

We chose the SBH Monica Beach Hotel for its proximity to the ION Windsurf club located on the beach. The resort is supposedly a 4* all-inclusive but found out quickly that this is very misleading. Comparing this to my experience at a 3* / 4* / 5* all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean, this is closer to 3* with a huge asterisks on the all-inclusive component.

Biggest surprise was that the use of the safe in the room is an additional cost. This should complementary, just like the hotel key card that locks the door and safeguards your room / belongings.

Wifi is only available in the lobby with very weak reception, and none in the rooms or throughout the property (so we ended up roaming the entire duration of the trip instead).

Most of the activities that they advertise (mini-put, tennis, basketball, etc) are an additional cost to rent per use.

There is no late-night snack bar so you better fill up at dinner or prepare a plate as they close promptly at dinner - I recall the last few minutes of dinner service when I walked to fill up my glass of water before leaving and the beverage section was roped off with the waiter pointing to his watch as explanation as to why I cannot refill my drink. There is no water fountain available on the property so bring a water bottle and keep it full while the bar remains open. After service closes, you will have to wait until the next day.

Cockroaches everywhere at night.

Great hotel on the beach

Great hotel with the access to the beach. The food is delicious and plenty to choose from. Very impressed by the New Years Eve dinner.The beach could be more incorporated in to the hotel. The deck chairs extra charge and long walk to the hotel bar to get the drinks. Also extra charge to use safe in the room. The Wi-Fi only free in the public areas.
But the weather was beautiful and we had a great time.

This resort is absolutely amazing, booked a sea view room and had the best views for the sunrise and sunset! The food at he resort is fantastic always something different to eat, and fresh seafood, desserts and juices. They have amazing service options and I payed for the premium service at the resort as well as booking the all inclusive option. The premium services offered tea and coffee in the room, bottles of water and a beautiful basket of fruits. The gym was also great with fantastic equipment. Enjoyed the beach, clear water and beautiful sand. Expected the weather to just be warm especially in February but got an amazing dark tan due to the temperature reaching up to 30 degrees Celsius everyday which was fantastic and very hot!!! There’s so many sun loungers that you won’t need to feel like you won’t be able to find space to lay around the sun or the pool. Overall I could go on all day about how beautiful the resort is but it’s honestly the best and will definitely be bringing friends and family next year for another winter break!!! Thank you so much for an amazing time :)

Great hotel right on the beach

Great all inclusive deal with varied buffets although not brilliant for vegetarians so I ate a lot of eggs and cheese but
nice salad bar. Great pools and so near to the beach. Relaxing to go to sleep to the sound of the waves. Nice room but with traditionally hard Spanish beds but I have found the same in other Spanish hotels so must be typical. No tea and coffee making facilities in room which was a shame so bring your own travel kettle and tea bags if like me a cup of tea at any point in the day is an essential. There is a fridge in the room and a supermarket a five minute walk away so you could put a bottle of wine in and enjoy it on your patio or terrace in the evening but there is no patio lighting so a few candles might be nicer than relying on the bedroom lights. Some rooms have poor internet signal so I had to come to the main block to go on the internet as room signal was sporadic. This I wouldn't mind but you do have to pay 25 Euros per week for the privilege. Apart from these minor points the stay was wonderful and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

IF YOU NEED A REST AT LOW COST, LOOK NO FURTHER

Only 3-star in SBH group listed for FUE.I have been there 10 times over 5 years. Accom being uprated.I had renovated room easily worth 4star. Spectacular tropical garden. Lots of steps.Nice restaurant, about 40% vegetarian. No supplement for singles. On ly does all-in. Wonderful value. Terrific beaches, weather- 29-ish last week, reached 32 last week oct. warm evenings. FG JAMES

Die Ankunft war leider sehr holprig. Ich sollte einen T*i-Voucher vorlegen, obwohl ich nicht über T*i gebucht habe. Dann hieß es, ich müsse mein Zimmer noch bezahlen. Durch einen kurzen Chat mit Expedia lies sich das Missverständnis lösen. Das Hotel-Personal war dabei aber eher nicht sehr freundlich. Leider habe ich ein Zimmer bekommen, das schon in die Jahre gekommen ist (ich glaube, es gibt aber auch neuere Zimmer). Zuerst kam schwarzes Wasser aus der Toilette. Die Armaturen sind schon mit einem halben Zentimeter Kalk besetzt.
Das Essen war okay, das Buffet sah aber manchmal aus, wie ein Schlachtfeld. Außerdem hat der Restaurantleiter zwei mal vor meinen Augen ohne ein Werkzeug selbst mit der Hand in eine Schüssel gegriffen und sich das Essen selbst vor allen Gästen in den Mund geschoben. Einfach im Vorbeilaufen.
Insgesamt war mein Aufenthalt schon okay, aber ich habe von SBH schon besseres erlebt.

Da ich schon 3x dort war. Hat es sich sehr verändert. Das Personal an der Reception muss besser Orientiert werden um Auskunft zu geben. Habe auch ein Mail geschriben ich hätte gerne ein Zimmer mit Meerblick. Hatte keine Antwort bekommen. Bei der Ankunft wollte er 1000 Euro aber ich habe alles im vorau 2000 Euro schon längst bezahlt. Sonst war alles gut.

Somos viajeros muy habituales y en ningun hotel nos habian hecho pagar la estancia al entrar. Nos retenian una tarjeta de crédito y pagàbamos al final. Nos pareció muy desagradable.
A parte del check in, ningún otro problema con recepción, pero sí, con un camarero muy grosero en el bar de la piscina llamado Antonio. Damos su nombre ya que estaria bien que se le llamara la atención ya que no solamente fué grosero y maleducado con nosotros, sino tambien con otros clientes.
Personal del comedor de 10.
Buffet bueno, limpio y cuidado. Café malísimo. Cada dia salimos a tomar el café fuera del hotel.
La animación nocturna aburrida y de poca calidad.
La sensación es que SBH se escuda en el covid para reducir costes y personal.

L'hôtel est parfaitement situé et à distance de marche de la plage. Un grand complexe qui était également très calme et familial. Le personnel était très amical et serviable. Un seul restaurant était ouvert (en raison de COVID) et le personnel d'animation était également très bon et divertissant. Je recommande fortement ce complexe.

Bedienung im Restaurant war super. Essen war sehr gut und reichhaltig. Die Rutschenanlagen am Pool gefährlich. Eine von Zwei war geschlossen, da man schon das Glasfiber sehen konnte. Die andere war zwar im Betrieb, aber der Zustand der Rutsche war ebenfalls katastrophal. Dort war leider auch die Beschichtung beschädigt, sodas auch hier die Galsfasermatten zu sehen waren und man sich kleine Galsfiberstücke in die Haut rutschte. Desweiteren fehlten teilweise in den Außenduschen Fliesen an den Wänden. Der Zustand der Außenanlagen könnte ein weinig besser in Stand gehalten werden.

Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Aussenanlage(Bars im Aussenbereich) sehr ungepflegt. Zimmer roch muffig, aber nach gruendlichen lueften war es ok. Auch hier ist eine Renovierung notwendig. Hatte ein Appartement, obwohl ich ein Einzeltimmer gebucht hatte. Verpflegung war weniger als Mittelmass. Die Abendanimation war klasse.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans une chambre spacieuse avec vue mer.
Nous avons apprécié la propreté de l'établissement, ainsi que de l'ile en général.
L'emplacement, avec accès direct à une longue de plage dorée est idéal.
Les repas en particulier petit-déjeuner et diner sont très variés et bons. j'aime meme trouvé mon lait végétal d'amandes. Seul regret très peu de personnes parmi le personnel ne comprennent le français. Heureusement il y a la sympathique équipe FRAM.

Zentral gelegenes Hotel mit großen Zimmern, vielfältiges Buffet, sehr freundliches Personal, nicht für stark gehbeeinträchtigte Gäste geeignet, da viele Stufen, bzw. unbefestigter Weg zum sehr sauberen Strand, einige Geschäfte liegen in der nächsten Umgebung
Mein Tipp: Unbedingt Tagesausflug nach Lanzarote machen!

Ho prenotato con Expedia la struttura a Febbraio,arrivo in hotel ad Agosto e sono in overbooking, mi trasferiscono per 1,5 giorni la struttura accanto rimbalzando le colpe tra centro prenotazioni SBH ed Expedia. Risolto il problema, assurdo per chi ha prenotato a Febbraio, finalmente inizia il nostro (ormai breve) soggiorno nella struttura da noi scelta, ripeto e ribadisco, a Febbraio. Struttura piacevole, ristorante da rivedere, alle 13.20 già mezza cucina satellite centrale chiusa e proposte poco varie e fotocopia della sera prima. Cucina molto rivolta alla clientela nord europea, notoriamente poco attenta alla buona cucina e al gusto (assente) delle pietanze. Buona la pulizia, animazione internazionale poco invadente.

Traumhafte Anlage mit vielen Animationsangeboten

Alle super freundlich (Kellner, Rezeption, Bars, Zimmermädchen). Auch alle Animateure. Davon, dass deutsche (wie in anderen Bewertungen geschrieben) unerwünscht seien, war nix zu merken. Allerdings gibt es zwei animationsteams zusätzlich zum hoteleigenen, jeweils von Frankreich und Italien, welche (insbesondere das italienische) sich besonders mit den Landsleuten beschäftigt.... Aber wir wurden nie unfreundlich behandelt oder weggeschickt, wenn wir zu denen Kontakt aufnahmen....
Essen war im breiten Angebot - für jeden was dabei. Highlight war für mich der gegrillte Thunfisch!!! Auch für Veganer/vegetarier gab es gute Angebote. Glutenfreie Sachen auch gut gekennzeichnet und auch laktosefreie Milch z.B. ... Top
Hotel und Zimmer stets sauber.
Rezeption Mega hilfsbereit mit zügiger Lösung bei unseren Problemchen..
Durch die weite Anlage \"verläuft es sich\" und jeder findet seinen Platz: Sonnenliegen am Strand, auf extra angelegten Terrassen mit Meerblick, an einem der Pools (Animation am Hauptpool, am anderen ist es ruhig, allerdings trifft man hier Familien mit Kleinkindern, wegen Rutsche und Kinderbecken) oder ein schattiges Plätzchen zwischen Palmen.
Es gibt mehrere Bars, mein Favorit ist die Afrikabar am strandrand, sehr schöner Blick auf Meer, Strand und die Küste, außerdem konnte ich meinen Kids von dort aus gemütlich bei Kaffee/Mojito beim Beachvolleyball zuschauen..

Bel hôtel rénové récemment proche de la plage

Dans l'ensemble, nous avons été satisfait de cet hôtel.
Hotel rénové en 2015, proche de la plage.

équipe d'animation plutôt sympa mais qui font des différences entre les voyageurs Fram et les autres \"sbh\"...
En effet, il y avait beaucoup plus d'attention pour ses personnes.

Cependant, il y a des points à améliorer :
L'horaire d'ouverture du restaurant le soir (de 18h à 21h30), selon moi ca ouvre et ferme trop tôt. Ce que j'ai trouvé le plus désagréable, c'est de sentir le personnel de cuisine très pressé de terminer leur service et font sentir au client qu'ils doivent se dépêcher, d'ailleurs vers 20h45, il n'y a quasiment plus rien, les choix sont beaucoup plus réduit. Ce n'est pas normal, nous sommes en vacances et nous n'avons pas à nous speeder pour manger.
Pour le personnel qui débarrasse les tables, j'ai eu la même sensation.
Autre point, il n'y a pas de bar extérieur agréable ouvert le soir, seul le bar proche de la piscine est ouvert à partir de 19h (le bar salon, qui est exposé à l'ombre et qui n'est pas génial). Vraiment dommage que le bar \"Africa\" donnant sur la plage ne soit pas ouvert le soir pour prendre un apéritif, il est bien exposé, avec encore du soleil à cette heure et à une superbe vue.

Les chambres ne sont pas bien insonorisés, nous entendons beaucoup de bruit des voisins, et aussi le bruit de la circulation des voitures (nous étions proche de la rue).

L'eau des piscines était vraiment trop froide, difficile de se baigner dans ces conditions.

Väldigt kallt i poolen. Vattenrutschbanor väldigt slitna så det går inte att använda dessa. Två väldigt besvikna barn:(
Hotellet rekommenderas ej till barnfamiljer, däremot perfekt för vuxna som önskat en avkopplande semester.

Hotel decevant même si le prix est en fonction...

Chambre exposée au Nord , terrasse avec beaucoup de vis a vis, toutes les piscines gelées.
Pour accéder à la plage on doit traverser une zone de toilettes publics à l'odeur nauséabonde, les boissons en all inclusive sont imbuvables...
Hotel rempli d'allemands= très peu d'ambiance....
Zone d'hotels et de resort sans aucun charme... Nous avions loué une voiture ce qui a sauvé notre séjour...

Muy buena relación calidad-precio

Estuvimos una familia de dos adultos y dos adolescentes. El trato del personal fabuloso, la comida aceptable, a pie de playa... una relación calidad - precio muy adecuada.
Estuvimos en régimen de todo incluido y muy bien. Hay que adaptarse al horario alemán. La inmensa mayoría de los huéspedes son de esa nacionalidad. Todo está enfocado a ese público, hasta el punto de que algunos de los animadores no hablan español. Salvando eso (nosotros no estamos interesados en la animación), todo lo demás muy bien, los apartamentos buenos, la limpieza aceptable, muchos detalles por parte de la dirección del hotel. La comida abundante y lo que se puede esperar en este tipo de establecimientos. Nada que objetar. El hotel en primera línea de playa (aunque no es de las mejores). Las piscinas tranquilas, sin demasiado bullicio, propias para el descanso.
Muy recomendable.

Natale in ...piscina

Ho trascorso ,con mia moglie,12 giorni (16-27 Dicembre) in questo hotel ,tornando in Costa Calma dopo due anni. Alla reception ci hanno ben accolto (tra l'altro la signora parlava anche un po' d'italiano) e ci hanno assegnato una camera
con vista mare assai ampia, ma che presentava dei segni di usura ,tra l'altro assai evidenti, nel bagno. La mattina successiva abbiamo fatto rilevare il problema alla reception e la signora,tra l'altro la stessa che ci aveva ricevuto,si è immediatamente attivata per cambiarci la stanza e ci ha risolto il problema. La nuova location era nell'ala dx guardando il mare e comprendeva anche un ampia terrazza. L'hotel è in una buona posizione a degradare verso la spiaggia,ben attrezzato con 5 bar che alternandosi negli orari danno un servizio dalle 10 alle 23, due piscine e sala discoteca per spettacoli e animazione. Pertanto lo consiglierei, con l'avvertenza di scegliere le camere più nuove.

Les appart hotels sont grands type grand F2, supers propres. Le personnel de l'hotel est suepr serviable. L'hotel passe très bien dans le paysage. il n'est pas trop grand. Il est bien situé.
Les 3 points négatifs sont en all inclusive sont le restaurant qui est pessimiste à souhait, sans charme. Le buffet au milieu de la salle et tout le reste de l'espace est occupé par des tables. le second est le bar sous la route qui est glauque, sans fenetre. Le 3eme est que la quasi totalité de l'hotel est occupé par des retraités allemands. On a vraiment l'impression d'être à la maison de retraite.
