RATS & rude staff. The LAST time I ever come here.

This was my 5th visit to this hotel but sadly, IT WILL BE MY LAST. The hotel is on its knees. It desperately needs investment. The view & location are incredible (paradise) but everything else is sadly TERRIBLE now.

The hotel has always been a bit creaking but you were able to forgive this in the past because of the stunning views & location & friendliness of the staff. However, in the year since my last visit, the best staff have left and everything has BROKEN. The remaining staff are generally unpleasant and demoralised.

I was checked in by Jana on reception. She was rude and obnoxious. She clearly hates her job and the customers.

The gym equipment is broken and dangerous and quite frankly should be shut down (see photos). The sauna broke on my last day too.

There are two lifts in the main body of the hotel - one was broken the entire stay and the other one broke too on my penultimate day.

The hotel has a rat problem. During my stay, there were two dead rats around the pool (see photos). There were cockroaches in the rooms.

Water started to pour from the ceiling in my room (photo). The maintenance man was quick to fix it (the AC). The cleaner who came to mop up was the nicest member of staff (the cleaners were always friendly). She was very apologetic and said this happens \"siempre\" (always)!

The waiting staff in the dining room are miserable and ignore you when you say hello or goodbye. One evening, the chicken breasts were even undercooked.

We were put in a room on the third floor, the room itself was clean and well presented, but the outside was in a state of disrepair. There was a panel hanging off the wall, lights not working and lots of walls that needed repair and painting. We reported the issue to be told they could move us the following day, but when we went to reception and spoke to Carlos, he said that this was not possible, only the manager could authorise it but, strangely they were not available!! The location is great, the food in the restaurant was pretty good, only one lift works and the building needs lots of maintenance

Check in very slow not sure what the problem was, the rooms are tired and need updating, food was ok nothing great and the drinks were awful poor quality, service behind the bar slow, a very large complex so people with mobility issues may have problems where sunbathing due to slopes, I would rate this hotel a 5 out of 10 realising you get what you pay for

Awful hotel. Dirty rooms, poorly lit corridors which made us feel unsafe with young people drinking in lift areas, no air con, no kettle. Very scruffy hotel and around pool area SHOULD NOT BE 4 STAR HOTEL. VERY UNHELPFUL AND HOSTILE RECEPTIONISTS. Wouldn't move us to better rooms as apparently they were superior rooms. RECEPTIONIST would not allow us to speak with manager, so left it with Expedia to to help us, but no such luck. We had no choice but to leave. I come to the island 3 times a year and stay in 3 star and 4 star hotels with lovely rooms, grounds and exceptional staff, so consider myself as a very well seasoned traveller to fuerteventura for 10 yrs plus and NEVER received such shocking treatment. EXPEDIA AND SBH i expect better service/help from you

Coming from the USA this hotel was terrible and I only gave 2 stars because the beach was nice but a hike up and down. Pool was nice but freezing cold! Rooms had no air conditioning and it was facing the sun. We couldn’t open the sliding door because the mosquitos kept biting me. I couldn’t wait to leave the hotel. This was also a 60 and plus hotel with everyone smoking. Manager was on site the whole time which was nice to see but they really really need to update this hotel!

It was such a lovely place to stay and incredibly welcoming. My only issue was that there was an exposed wire in the room and the outside light did not work. However, the facilities were spotless, the staff were all fantastic, and the food was amazing! We hope to be back soon!

This hotel need a huge refurbishment. The reception staff need to speak English language otherwise can’t communicate. The food very basic and food for kids every day the same. The cocktails in the bar taste like lime whatever you order. The evening entertainment very poor and no entertainment for kids during the day and every single night the same songs for kids :) I have been many times in the area but this one was the worst so far. Shame as I was looking forward to stay there. Loads of other thing I could mention but this is definitely not the place to stay for long.

The location of the property is probably the best thing.

It’s bang in the middle of nowhere and makes it the perfect spot for miles of uncontaminated beaches which almost encourages you to bathe nude :)

All in all we had a great time in the Resort, very family friendly, great stuff and really good food (my girlfriend is gluten intolerant and the gluten free options were impressive).

The building can do with some renovations, it’s visibly “tired” all around and the lifts where frustrating at times, the air con is also not great so if the nights gets too hot it becomes a struggle to sleep.

They have some very questionable charges like paying for the safe (I don’t think I have ever experienced that before) and a 7€ a day wi fi charge which is bad in itself if it wasn’t that A)it doesn’t work well in most of the resort and B) it has a frustrating interface which makes it really annoying to work with, I ended up maxing out my data allowance even after paying for wi fi..

One very very frustrating thing ( which you will encounter no matter where you are in the island) is the airport transfer.

This hotel didn’t organise any and taxis are VERY pricey 80€ week days and 120€ weekends! The Local bus service is frankly a joke, really plan this in advance..

We had a great room however and the lucks of the building were compensated by the stuff which was great all around.

Idyllic location facing rising sun and with white sandy beaches close by.
Food excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Pretty good amenities though disappointed not to play water volleyball - not enough volunteers when we were there. Nightly shows well performed if mimed to original soundtracks. If you just want a place to relax in comfort it's first class.

The only thing is I booked for 2 adults but got a call saying I only booked for 1 , I was asked to pay another full adult price, but again have checked on ebookers and the same price for 1 or 2 adults, in the end the fantastic manager Marc, said I did not have to pay extra, lovely hotel and staff , thank you

Lovely view from our Sea View apartment (room 340) but spoilt SLIGHTLY by the 2 storey building between us and the grounds and sea. Hotel showing it's age and could do with a refit - but comfortable and pleasant place to stay. Food ok - but not really outstanding. Enough to keep us well fed - but perhaps lacking in variety.
Over 100 steps, some sloping pathways and a sand bank to negotiate to the sea but well worth it - the beach was SUPERB. This is NOT a criticism - merely a word of warning to anyone not able bodied hoping to spend their days on the beach at this hotel.

The location is amazing and the beach was perfect. The hotel is pretty old and needs some renovation.
The animation staff, servers and bartenders were super friendly.
Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with the receptionist . It was a lady around 40 years old, very rude. The day I arrived she tried to over charge me for $500 when I already paid for my stay and without any explanation why she was doing that. I had to call Expedia to solve the problem and after 3 hours back and fourth I got my room. The following days she had the same attitude with me and she never helped me when I was asking for help. She can’t work there because she doesn’t know how to treat people.

Great hotel, great staff but..........

Fantastic hotel placed just right, out of the way. All staff were friendly, enjoyed entertainment at night but the edge was taken off by one of the male entertainers,(not the one in charge) who in a fit of rage, slammed the fire doors to the theatre in our, and four other guests faces! All due to the fact we didn’t want to sit inside and were watching from outside the door . Maybe we should have reported this to the Director. I don’t think his actions were warranted, and most certainly took the edge off our remaining days, we avoided the entertainment as a result. Shame, great place otherwise, but may rethink future plans.

The resort is a little gem in Fuerteventura. Very nice property, very clean rooms, staff so kind and friendly. Staff go above and beyond to make your stay super special. Excellent variety of food at the restaurant. The atmosphere is magical and relaxing. I would definitely come back.
Pools need some renovations. Water is too cold, should be heated. Snacks available after dinner would be a nice extra feature. Entertainment needs a little improvement, specially the shows at night time. During the day there is a great variety of entertainment and activities.

The hotel is right next to the beach and it has its own private access to it. Lovely setting. It is in a very quiet location, perfect for me! The food was good and good variety, the bars are open almost all the time and there is a supermarket to buy water and some essentials. There is entertainment 6 days a week and all inclusive means that you forget you had a wallet! My room was clean, spacious and with a lovely balcony with the view of the ocean and the sun. Truly amazing! Two pools one colder than the other, so cold that the sea was warmer. Staff were very friendly and on hand. I would go back. Sea, sun and relaxation. Thank you.

This is the second year holidaying there. We noticed a few changes that were not for the better. In particular the ‘entertainment team’ and the ensuing ‘loud music’ blasted out from the speakers became annoying... ‘come on don’t be lazy!!’ Grinds a little everyday when my wife and I were relaxing on the sunloungers.. trying to find peace in the hotel surroundings. The food was excellent although there was no jugs of fresh juice at the breakfast buffet, but cordial from the self serve machine. On the whole we had a good holiday.

Nice quiet and remote hotel

Hi there,
I generally don’t do this kind of review but this time I will make a exception
So, the hotel is in a nice location in front of the beach ( naturist beach, but not so many naked people) , you can see the sunrise and the water is clear
There is variety of food generally, but the breakfast is the same, so little bit boring ( but I don’t eat everything , so it may be ok for others)
Except for the nice beach there is not too much to see, so a car is a must
This island has many great places to visit. Cofete beach is one of these.
The hotel generally needs some touch ups, but is clean and the employees are great all of them and really makes you feel good
I only have one not good thing to say about the gym. Everything in the gym must be changed ( old and dangerous, you can’t have a proper training) but than not everyone is going to do exercises and there are no dumbbells
So nothing more to say, just that you have 3 pools if you don’t like the beach and a bar by the pool
So yeah, I had a good time

Excellent hotel on the beach

By far our best experience of any of our breaks in the Canaries. Staff are amazing. Hotel was very clean. We went all inclusive and the food was by far the best we’ve ever had. The resort seems more popular with German and French people than Brits but we really didn’t understand why, we loved it. Entertainment wasn’t our cup of tea but that’s just personal taste.

Where do I start? Well to kick off was not expecting the hotel to be great! We knew we had paid a good price, read previous reviews, and gone with our eyes open. Ckeck-in, we were greetedby a very friendly smile, very courtious and helpful. Everything was explained, found our room with ease, thanks to the directions. The room was a very good size, clean, a little tired, but we were expecting worse. Meal times were well organised, and definitely plenty of choice for ALL despite past comments.very tasty and well presented, again genuinely happy staff, obviously well thought of by their management, thisvshowed in their helpfulness.
We will definitely be returning, and are pleased we went with our feelings more than recent reviews. Good work team, keep it up, for such a large hotel, you've made it feel personal.

Great winter getaway

This was a real value for money experience and the all-inclusive is a must. Although a relatively old hotel it was clean and well kept with extremely friendly staff. Meals were excellent with lots of choice at every meal time, the bar areas were child friendly and evening entertainment was fun, if a little cheesy. In the grounds the pool and sundecks were always clean and tidy, with plenty of areas to hide away and relax. Good access to a great beach and nearby resorts in walking distance (including a cash machine in next village) along the coast. When weather not so good there was tennis, whirl pool, sauna and activities to keep one busy in the resort.

Excellent hotel if you want a relaxing holiday

Only stayed 4 nights but would have loved to stay longer. Extremely impressed by helpfulness of staff. I felt nothing was too much trouble. I had to leave before normal breakfast time on the last day but a cold buffet was made available. The hotel is large so catering is on a grand scale. There was a very wide choice of dishes but obviously with these quantities you would not expect small restaurant quality. There are naturists on the beach but they keep themselves to themselves and swimming naked is a whole different experience to wearing a costume. Perhaps you could try it and leave your comfort zone!

A 4 Star Hotel This is Not!!!

I stayed at the Club Paraiso Playa, Fuerteventura over Christmas; where I was unfortunately left totally disappointed and underwhelmed.

Let's start with the hotel room. I shall absolutely commend the excellent work the cleaning teams do in hotel rooms around the world, thank you for keeping my room clean and tidy.

The room had no fridge present, which I thought was a fairly standard addition to any modern hotel. Perched on top of the table where the mini fridge should've been was a 20\" old fashioned CRT television. I'll call it a television in the very loosest sense. Built probably in 1996, it came with only 2 channels in English -CNBC and BBC World News. It was so old that an Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) hadn't even been invented yet!!

The second disappointment was the quality of the food. Again, I take nothing away from the excellent and extremely hard working waiting staff, and indeed the chefs and catering team. Nevertheless, the food was bland, often tasteless and built to a low budget and without much thought.

Wifi is chargeable, this my most significant frustration as it's unusable and complete rubbish. I ran two speed tests; one on Christmas Day, and yes, I fully appreciate that everybody is online making internet calls, sending images etc etc. That could possibly explain download speeds on average of 0.8mbps across several days.

Finally, on the internet issue, you can only use one device at any one time per room. This is astonishing.

Das Hotel ist offiziell als 4-Sterne-Hotel bewertet. Vielleicht war es das auch einmal, aber aktuell entspricht es meiner Meinung nach eher einem 3-Sterne-Hotel.

Viele Dinge im Hotel sind sehr alt. Die Möbel im Zimmer waren teilweise beschädigt und deutlich abgenutzt. Besonders unangenehm war der Zustand des WC-Deckels, der schmutzig war – das wäre eine kleine und günstige Sache, die man problemlos austauschen könnte.

Ein großes Problem waren die vielen Mücken im Zimmer. An Decken und Wänden waren überall Spuren von zerdrückten Mücken von früheren Gästen, was keinen guten Eindruck macht. Hier wären Fliegengitter an den Fenstern sehr wichtig. Insgesamt sollte das Hotel dringend renoviert werden.

Positiv möchte ich aber auch erwähnen, dass die Lage sehr schön ist. Die Anlage ist interessant aufgebaut, die Zimmer sind geräumig und haben eine gute Größe. Die Grundidee des Hotels ist gut, aber vieles wirkt einfach veraltet.

Zusammenfassend: schöne Lage und großzügige Zimmer, aber der Zustand des Hotels ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Eine Renovierung wäre wirklich notwendig.

Der öffentliche Strand und das Meer waren das Highlight! Der kurze Fussweg über einen Stufenweg wurde dafür gerne in Kauf genommen. Das Hotel ist ein riesengrosses Gebäude welches bereits in die Jahre gekommen ist. Da es am Ankunftstag leicht geregnet hatte, waren die Mücken und andere Kleintiere die ganze Nacht aktiv und krabbelten über das Gesicht. Die Rezeption mit älterer Dame gab einen Insektenspray ins Zimmer und reagierte bei weiteren Anliegen jeweils mit der Frage ob das selbe Anliegen nicht bereits zuvor mehrmals benannt wurde, was nicht der Fall war. So konnte einmal die Schranktüre nicht mehr geöffnet werden da sie aus der Schiene sprang. Die Schlüsselkarte funktionierte (bei mehreren Gästen ) öfter nicht. Die Schuld lag immer beim Gast. Das Essen war vielfältig und ungeniessbar. Zähes Fleisch, verkochte Nudeln und das Meiste war bereits abgekühlt ohne ausreichende Warmhaltebehälter. Ein Hotel für anspruchslose Gäste. Pluspunkt: Weitläufige Anlage und in der Nebensaison genügend Liegen und Plätze rund um die beiden Pools vorhanden. Im Badezimmer gab es 4 cm lange Kakerlaken.

Das Personal war freundlich und srach teilweise deutsch. Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze für Gäste. Der Pool war leider nicht so gereinigt, wie wir es erwartet hatten. Die Einrichtung ist in die jahre gekommen und könnte grundlegend renoviert werden. Das Essen war gut und einigermaßen abwechslungsreich.
Die Regeln bezüglich der Bekleidung zum Abendessen wurden vom Personal nicht umgesetzt und auch das Verhalten der anderen Gäste wurde nicht im geringsten beachtet. Es war bis sehr spät in der Nacht laut und ein Gast übergab sich ins Blumenbeet. Mehrere Tage nach dem Vorfall war das erbrochene immer noch im Beet.
Insgesamt werden wir nicht wiederkommen

È la nostra seconda volta, dopo anni, in questo Hotel, scelto per il fantastico mare e la meravigliosa spiaggia incontaminata.La struttura non è recente ma soddisfa ogni richiesta grazie alla cordialità e alla disponibilità del personale ma soprattutto del direttore (italiano…ci ha fatto sentire veramente a casa!) Eccellente il team dell’animazione Acttiv, sotto la guida dello straordinario Luca!E con i ricordi indimenticabili di questa vacanza Vi auguriamo buon lavoro, con la speranza di rivederci presto!!!
