I traveled with family and friends, and we really enjoyed our stay at Paradisus. The resort was excellent, with great customer service, a variety of food options and restaurants, and plenty of activities for kids.

The only issue we experienced was the strong seaweed odor, which I understand is seasonal and beyond the resort's control. The staff worked hard to clean the beach every day, but unfortunately the beach remained closed and unusable during our stay.

We also noticed coatis roaming around the property looking for food. They were not aggressive and did not bother anyone, but it was something I wasn't expecting.

Overall, both of these concerns were related to nature and not the resort itself. We had a wonderful vacation and would recommend this resort to others.

Didn’t like the sargassum. Beach was dead. Didn’t like that at check in at the front desk we were offered an upgrade for over $1000 which include a private beach for the upgrade. The problem is they know the sargassum is really bad and no ones is at the beach. The beach was totally empty.
Our rooms were always clean, however we had a toilet leak the first 2 days. Most of the staff was very friendly with an exception or 2. The pools are small. The food was better than not. I like the stay, but would not stay there again especially because of the sargassum. The place is nice and clean and friendly.

Absolutely great place for families . Ages 9, 5 and 4 all had a great time . So many activities for the kids and the water park was great .
The food and service was great at the Mexican and Asian restaurant . The entertainment was absolutely great. Sebastian at the pool bar was probably one of our favorite people there . Erika as our family concierge was great as well .
Down side : the ac in the room and restaurants was never cool enough .
Poolside service was slow at times . Also first couple of days not enough staff at pool side and it almost seemed like they would ignore / avoid us. Pool side restaurant food was slightly lacking in flavor.

There was so much to do for the kids on the family side. I do wish there were other options for food that didn’t need reservations. The food at the buffet was just okay. The beach was also in terrible condition due to the seaweed. The kids loved the pool. I just wish there were more people taking orders around the pool area. Regardless, all the staff was amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable. No matter where you went, someone would say hi and especially acknowledge the kids.

This hotel is amazing! Very kid friendly and a lot of activities for them. The kids water parks were super fun. The food was delicious if you went to the restaurants, but the buffet is not that great. I think the only thing they can improve on is their nightly shows location, its not a legit theater and its small. A lot of people would stay standing up most of the night. Other than that we absolutely loved this hotel and would recommend, specially if you go as a family.

What an amazing vacation! It is definitely worth the extra money to get the family consierge service. They really went above and beyond. We had the most amazing time. Our room was clean, the staff was so amazing, and the amentities were top notch. I had a wonderful massage at the spa. The dinners at the restaurants were very good, my favorite was the italian and the hibachi. We had the buffet for breakfast every morning and there were so many options. I had tacos every day for breakffast! lol We went in early May, the weather was perfect, very hot and humid, but traveling from the East Coast it was just what we wanted. We never used the beach due to the seaweed but we didn't mind at all! The events every day/night were so fun for the kids: movies, face painting, balloon animals, all of the shows, candy bar, game room, when I say there was so much to do I mean it! We also loved the water park, I wish there was more food options and a bar there. The water was a little deep for the kids but overall lots of fun. We would start our day there then head to the pirate pool and have lunch. We only dropped the kids off at the kids camp once and we walked over to the adult only resort for a few hours. The kids loved it! They do push a lot of extras on you but I understand the business and we made the most of it. Overall I highly recommend this resort, and I can't wait to check out another Paradisus!

Fabian the family concierge is amazing! He’s thoughtful, helpful and kind! Goes above and beyond! Family side is exactly what it says - family side! Nothing much for adults, no animation team. Staff super friendly. The beach is not seen from the hotel, you need to walk past a mangrove to get to it. However, the seaweed was so horrible the beach can not be used and it smells. The staff works from sun up to sunrise trying to clean it but it’s nature. If you don’t care about the beach then it’s good family resort. The entertainment on family side, don’t bother it’s that bad. I’ve stayed at many resorts and I wouldn’t recommend this UNLESS you have a family, want a swim out pool room and don’t care about the beach. Best part of trip was the swim out room, pool waitress and concierge Fabian! He brought fish food, decorated bathtub, gifts etc. Also popsicles, ice cream, coffee, cake and restaurants all good!!!

My husband, our three kids and I just got back from staying at Paradisus for 8 nights and it really was incredible. The staff at this resort was so friendly and helpful and our family concierge Cynthia went out of her way to make every single day feel special and magical, especially for our kids, but also for me and my husband. The room was large and very clean and the beds were very comfortable. They even brought in a full size twin bed for my 13 year old son so we could sit on the couch without constantly pulling out and putting away the fold out bed in the couch. The food was really great and definitely exceeded my expectations. My husband and I only drink a couple times a year but we had a few drinks and they were well poured and didn't taste watered down or short on alcohol. Our favorite restaurants were Flora, Tokimeku, Bana Family, Sal's Steak Cave, and The lunch box. Oh, and the mussels at Cappella were amazing!!!! The buffet was decent but could have used more variety and perhaps different options each day of the week. They occasionally put out different dishes but mostly it's the same every day. The sargassum in the water and on the beaches is terrible but they tried their best to manage it. There were boats getting it out of the water beyond the barriers, barriers in the water, bulldozers on the beach and people taking it up with pitchforks by hand. They have a lovely setup on the beach so I'm sure its pleasant during the winter when the seaweed is better.

We loved it here. There were a lot of pools and they were all clean and it was very easy to find a secluded pool somewhere away form the main pirate ship pool where you could have a quiet pool day. The rooms were very clean. The air conditioning in the room got nice and cold but the air in there was a little damp. Food was very good. All inclusive family concierge is definitely the way to go.

We just returned from an unforgettable stay, and we can't recommend this resort enough. My wife was in heaven at the spa, and as a family we spent hours in the gorgeous pools. The restaurants were a highlight too—fantastic food and great variety every night. Our one note: the beaches were covered in sargassum seaweed, which gave off a strong odor, so we stayed poolside instead. The real standout was the hotel's cenote experience—my son and I loved exploring it together, a magical adventure we'll never forget. We're already planning our return!

This is very nice resort that is family friendly. However, the beach was covered in seaweed, so don’t come here if you want to swim in the ocean.
Pools were nice, but I wish they had playgrounds for kids. Also their kids club was under construction and we were very disappointed there are no play areas for kids where you can stay with them.
We were sold upgrade to Family concierge, which wasnt really worth it because you can’t really enjoy the beach and the smell is so bad because of seaweed.

We stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen and overall had a great experience, especially for families with kids.

We arrived around 12:30pm after an early flight and were exhausted, but unfortunately had to wait over 3 hours for our room. That was definitely a rough start, especially since we were tired and ready to settle in. We were traveling with almost 4 year old twins.

We booked a swim-out room and the first one we were assigned was disappointing. It was in a shaded corner and didn’t have a lounger like many of the other swim-outs. Thankfully, the staff was very accommodating and moved us to another room that was much better and made a huge difference in our stay.

The service throughout the resort was outstanding. Everyone was genuinely kind, helpful, and attentive. The kids’ amenities and activities were over the top and one of the biggest highlights of the trip. If you’re traveling with children, this resort really shines. They checked on us constantly which made us feel well taken care of.

The pools could have been a little cleaner at times and the beach was honestly the biggest downside. There was extreme seaweed both on the beach and in the water, and the smell was pretty unpleasant. That said, we understand that’s nature and not something the resort can fully control.

Despite a few hiccups, we had a very enjoyable stay and would absolutely return — especially with the twins.

The food was incredible - we loved the Capella, Blue Agave & Cielo restaurants. Buffet wasn’t the greatest selection. Ice cream bar was so cute for the kids!

We upgraded to the family concierge and it was well worth it - some perks included exclusive quiet pool, dedicated section on beach, we ate at the Lunch Box restaurant (sit down & fresh to order). Our concierge made all of our dinner reservations in advance.

Suite - was spacious for our family of 4. Gorgeous balcony overlooking the pool.

There’s some negatives but every resort has some…we’d come back in a heartbeat

Definitely recommend this place to everyone. We came here with a 5 and a 3-year olds. Everyone had so much fun. There is no shortage of entertainment for kids. From night shows to piñata parties, balloons, dance, art work, pool foam parties.. there is a day care to drop kids off too. Pools are very clean. The restaurants are all amazing. We definitely over-ate as the food was so delicious. The staff are all very kind and helpful. They deep clean the room every day. I have never seen it in other hotels I stayed at but they even mopped the room floors every day. There is yoga… a very decent sized gym.. the only downside for us was the seaweed in the ocean which is not hotels fault. There were a lot of workers cleaning the shore everyday.. still it was not that aqua blue color ocean because of the seaweed. We were here in May- we heard that the seaweed is seasonal so if you are keen to swim in clear waters may be come here at non-seaweed season.

Family of 5, with a 6 yr old, 5 yr old, and 2 yr old... we thought this property was just perfect for us. The food was surprisingly good - well seasoned at every location. The pools and waterslides were great. And the kids loved the random daily activities and night shows. A few points of improvement: there was cat poo that didn't get cleaned for a few days on the stairs, and a baby pooed in the shipwreck pool on our last day and we had to leave that area... but otherwise, a great trip. We would recommend to another family around similar ages. We would not recommend the property to couples (unless you go to the adults only section, but the buffet is still filled with young kids), and would not recommend to a group of young adults as there is zero disco or nightlife other than the PG evening activities that end pretty early.

AMAZING family friendly experience from start to finish

Our stay at Paradisus Playa del Carmen – Riviera Maya - All Inclusive was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived everything looked exactly like the pictures and in many ways even better in person. The property was beautiful well maintained and very welcoming for families.

The rooms were clean spacious and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping service was excellent. Our room was cleaned each morning and in the evening staff returned to turn down the beds and prepare the room for a relaxing night which made the experience feel extra special.

This resort is also very kid friendly with so many activities and options to keep children entertained throughout the day. There was always something for them to do which made it easy for the adults to relax and truly enjoy the vacation as well.

The pools, beach, water park, dining options, and overall atmosphere were excellent. Everything felt organized, welcoming, and easy to enjoy.

A special thank you to Samanya for going above and beyond with our dinner reservations and thoughtful surprises for our kids and anniversary. She truly made our stay unforgettable. We also appreciate Miguel for his constant help and kindness throughout our visit.

Overall, this was an amazing vacation for adults and kids. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this resort for a beautiful, clean, and welcoming all inclusive experience.

We stayed on the family side of the resort. The common areas of the hotel, rooms, and pool were all great. All was very clean, and family-friendly. The paths to the beach were easily accessible, and a very peaceful surrounding. Our only complaint was that the food wasnt as good as what we expected. It wasn't horrible, but just not as good as what we would have expected from a resort like this. Also, we added on the Family Concierge package. Some of the perks were nice to have & we did utilize some of them. However, im not sure if we would add it again if we revisited the resort.

We stayed in the family resort. I think our stay would've been better if our room was located in the main building by the lobby and restaurants. The distance to the lobby was the same as walking across the street in the blazing sun. Highly recommended to ask for a room in the main lobby building.

Buffet was not good. Not a lot of variety. Didn't seem very food safe for most of the foods; sweaty cheeses, cold meat and fruit just sitting out and not on ice or anything. You're better off ordering room service or reserving a restaurant!

We tried to book an excursion, but guest services kept giving us different prices right in front of our eyes. We discussed a price the day before and agreed upon it. My husband took a photo of the info, next day we decided to go back and pay for the excursion. Guest service told us that they didn't offer that price. We showed them a photo of what the offered and they said \"it was a mistake.\" Promotion was also offered if you gave 45minutes of your time to learn about \"the circle\"~ it's $32k if you want to be a member!

Lots of pools for families. Beach had seaweed every day. Beaitiful mangroves. Lots of activities for kids.

The rooms were clean and were cleaned daily, the property is very clean. We went as a large group about 25 ppl and resort and staff were not very accommodating to us and always gave us attitude or didn’t want to serve us. It is not very allergy friendly as some staff do not know what is in certain menu items. It’s very geared to young kids I would say 3 and up not much for babies. Overall I would not come again but enjoyed somewhat of my time with our friends.

The FC junior swim up suite was nice, our concierge Tiara provided lots of nice little surprises for the kids and was great helping us with dinner, spa, and cenote reservations. The kids club was also great and had lots of activities throughout the day. The food was ok and the drinks were also just ok, mostly sugary mixer. Staff were friendly but it was very crowded so sometimes it felt like there werent enough staff to guests during meal times. Our room was very clean and the turn down service was great. The ac leaked on the floor the first night we got there. Maintenance came almost immediately after we notified them and the issue was resolved within 30 minutes. Overall, it was a great experience and the kids had a blast. Very family friendly.

I and my family stayed at Paradisus in the middle of April and from a scale of 1-10, I would rate it at 8.9
Pros:
- Excellent concierge service
- Easy and quick check-in: I would shout out Sergio for an excellent customer service at checking and giving us an amazing King Master bedroom suite. Thank you Sergio!!!!
- Excellent cleanliness at rooms and all areas
- Very good kids facilities and entertainment: Aqua Zone with slides, Pirate ship pool, kids club, face painting, balloons twisting, activities and night shows.
- Large beach area with powder clean sand and enough chairs and umbrellas
- Really good main area with turtle pounds, fishes, ice cream and coffee boots
Cons:
- Food was good at the buffet and restaurants, but I wish at buffet to have more variety and choices, and at restaurants to have more options and to be more elevated
For lunch we preferred the Grill next to Pirates Ship pool and the beef burgers and chicken wings were quite good.
- Sargasus - unfortunately first half of our stay the ocean was inaccessible because it was windy with currents and a lots of sea weed. Thanks to the staff that they managed to clean the sea weed at the beach and ocean got clearer at the end. But if you like snorkeling like me, you need to book a trip out of the resort.
- Coatis - there a lots of them and if you leave your bag or food unattended they will be all over it
- Night shows are mainly made for the kids and there was no show with many actors, dancers and effects

Very family friendly resort. There is no ocean view from any of the rooms, you have to walk a lot to get around the resort. The food was not the best, very bland not a lot of options. If you love seafood they don’t really have seafood options. The only restaurant that had good food was bana. There was some miscommunication with restaurant reservations with a staff member so we didn’t get to experience the hibachi at bana, so that was a bummer. Some of the staff were friendly others didn’t seem to care. Service is on the slower side at the restaurants and sometimes we had to ask for a server instead of one promptly coming up to the table. Rooms were great! There is no steamers in the rooms so just fyi because I called to ask and was told they did but once there come to find out they only have irons. The beach is nice but be careful with rocks in the ocean, I stepped on one and cut my foot but lifeguard was prompt about cleaning the cut and treating it. Overall, wasn’t wow’d with this resort.

The rooms were spacious, and the entire hotel was kept very clean. The food was delicious and the workers were not aggressive at all for tips. They were accommodating with an early check-in and late checkout.

Things they could improve: I think the dinner buffet should start at 5. 6 is way too late for little kids. I think the place to grab towels should open at 8am instead of 9.

Other than that I really can’t complain. I would definitely go back. For kids I’d say it’s best suited for 8 years old or younger.

The hotel and amenities were generally very good and nicer than other places we have stayed. The hospitality staff in all of the restaurants and bars were lovely. We had an issue with our room key continuing to deactivate that the hotel was not able to resolve. It happened multiple times a day for the last three days of our stay. Unfortunately, it did not seem like the management took it seriously and on one occasion, our kids were locked in the room. Other than this, it was a great spot.

Lots of pool options for my 5 year old and 10 year old. The waterpark was great for the 10 year old and a smaller splash pad for the 5 year old. The best was the swim out and being able to wake up and jump into the pool. There are Coatis around so don’t leave food lying around… they will come and take it. Surprisingly, it was not the pool and activities my kids and I remembered most but the staff. On the last day, my kids much rather say good bye and hang out with Edgar, a staff at Paradisus due to how warm and welcoming he made them feel throughout their trip. Staff have access to your WhatsApp and message you often to check on you. I had a medical reaction and staff helped me get my hands on medication at local prices rather than tourist prices. Massage was amazing! There’s always deals so much sure to check them out. Entertainment for kids were minimum unless you enrol them into the childcare. Beach was warm and free from seaweed because they clean it often. Sales did occur on site but nothing pushy. You always felt respected (you get perks for just listening). It is a small resort if you’re looking for calmness, great service and attention to detail.

what a beautiful experience here with our family! this is definitely a family focused hotel, although to be fair we did go during the spring break week. the families are all very nice and it is a very nice vibe. the hotel facility itself is a little dated but everything else they offer more than makes up for it. the service is outstanding and every staff member was so kind, helpful and genuinely wonderful. the food and drinks were fresh, clean, delicious. the buffets change the food everyday and adults and kids will have more than plenty of options for each meal. fruits/veggies here are to die for. so fresh and delicious. the pools and all the grounds are super clean and manicured which is very hard to do with that many guests! i just wish there was louder and more consistent music by the main pool. the water park for kids is so fun and exciting for them. the nightly shows had popcorn and drinks every night and they were all 10/10. we really looked forward to the shows each night i was so impressed with the quality because shows at these resorts are usuallly not high quality. the icecream and popsicles are insane. the best icecream ever!!!!!! there are daily kids activities throughout the resort. the beach club has a DJ and bar which is SO fun. it has tulum vibes. this place is heaven on earth and we will definitely be back. they do such a great job managing this resort and i look forward to recommending it to all our friends. we are grateeful for the family trip we got here.

The resort was fine. I went with my family. They really pushed the Family Concierge tier. We opted not to get that add-on considering it was pricey, we already paid for the resort (thinking it was an all inclusive), and it seemed more geared for younger kids. But our room was close to amenities that were only available on that tier: separate pool, restaurant, and coffee bar. Each morning to have coffee before breakfast I had to walk past the Family Concierge coffee bar to the central on in the middle of the resort. We also found it was difficult to get a restaurant reservation. Everything was all booked or available only later at night. So, we ate in the buffet quite a bit, which gets old in a hurry.

The experience we had was fairly decent but there was some issues with cleanliness of the resort. Room was fine. Main issue was that they pushed their circle subscription aggressively and it soured out experience as we were just trying to relax. Overall, it’s solid. Not as good as dreams onyx in Punta Cana which is the only other place we’ve stayed previously.

Amenities, pool, service were all amazing. We had no issues to make dinner reservations, regularly showed up at the pool or beach and always got lounge chairs or cabanas without reservation. There was so much to explore in the hotel grounds itself and always organized activities. Staff consistently delivered excellent service. The gym was well equipped, our daughter loved the ice cream place, coffee bars never had long lineups. The water park seemed best for children up to age 9, for our daughter with 11 it was a little boring. Overall a fantastic experience!

For the price this was one of our favourite all inclusive resorts. Very nice! The room was awesome, the food was great. The waterpark is amazing for kids, spent hours there. The beach was beautiful, one of the best I’ve seen!
The only things I would change are:
Room service. It took 2 hours one night I think they actually forgot about us completely.
The restaurants close at 10… too early especially when you’re arriving late and your whole family is starving.
The staff were decent but could have been more helpful or more enthusiastic. We tip well but it felt more expected than appreciated. No one wanted to go out of their way.
It was tricky to get reservations. We went right away when we arrived and it was very booked up. We don’t have many options or flexibility on times for our family or 5.
Loved that there’s a family side and adult side though.

Arturo at the pirate ship pool, Edgar and Daniel in the activities department, Jorge in FC, and Agustin at the Celsius bar - all deserve special shout outs for going above and beyond to make the trip amazing.
Property could use some cosmetic updates but overall offered a comfortable and relaxing family vacation.
Food was about as expected but had plenty for our picky eaters, and daily gelato never hurts.

We stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen for 7 nights as a family of 2 adults and one 4-year-old child, and we had a great experience. The resort is very family-friendly, with lots of fun activities for kids that kept our child entertained throughout the trip. The pools were excellent, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy as a family. What really stood out was the guest service, which was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable family vacation, and we would definitely recommend it to other families traveling with young children.
