Elevator still not working. 3rd floor shower was just barely hot after spending 20min trying to find the hot water because the handle spins 360 degrees and temperatures are backwards. Had to turn the AC/Heater off to sleep because it was so loud. It was doable and cheap for one night but would not stay again.

Pictures are deceiving, the place smelled and was very dingey. There was marks on the walls the lamp didn’t work. There was a grotesque aura of the place I didn’t feel safe. My girlfriend and I hardly stood the night we booked a better place a mile away.

The room was nice and clean. The wallways were dirty and need an update. The elevator wasn't working for my 3 day stay. The gym and laundry room were connected so the gym was really noisy.
It was in a great location, quiet and I felt safe traveling solo.

Weird smell the moment you walk into the hotel. Room had stains on the headboard. Musty smell in the room. Carpet in bad condition. TV and remote never worked. Property and rooms need major uplift and cleanliness of room should be a number one priority of the hotel manager/owner. I would not recommend this hotel.

Property is old and the room was not that clean the carpet was tore out and bedsheet was kinda of dirty like never been clean towels was not enough no housekeeping that clean the thrash or even give a new towels...honestly i don't like the environment of the hotels itself old and dirty...i don't think that will be something for me to stay again at that hotel hallway smell so bad...

The hallway smelled like cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke. The room had no coffee maker but two microwaves. There were no tissues and all of the soap dispensers in the bathroom were empty. The shower head didn’t work properly either. Sloppy painting in the bathroom and it was all over the broken floor tiles. The pillows smelled like cigarette smoke as well. Definitely will not stay here again.

Room was dark, no stoppers in bathroom sink or tub in order to use them, no tissues, toiletries on shower wall hard to use or not much in there, free laundry machines for self use now charge when they were included before, missing a chair at desk for second person to sit and eat--only he one desk chair. I have stayed here for about 4 years prior and it was good but was told new management so things are different. Asked for room away from dogs and there were two different dogs near me that barked. Won't stay here again unless things were fixed.

I had a conference in Haddonfield which is a near by town! I am partially disabled and use a wheelchair! Having a roll in shower is very helpful! The shower nozzle needed to be replaced, but worked for me. The property was spacious, neat and clean and quiet!

The outside of the hotel and the inside of my room were pretty, but the inside of the hotel, outside of my room and the lobby, was shabby and smelly. I could get past the dated carpet and faded wallpaper if it wasn't for how horrible the place smelled. It was more bareable in the room, but you could still smell it. Periodically, there was a smoke smell but I wouldnt dare close the two inch maximum gap I could open the window to for fresh air. The scent stuck onto my luggage and clothes. After two weeks, I just need to deodorize my luggage set. Smaller details of the room were gross. A dead bug stuck on the head board, a live roach crawled by the kitchen, and the shower drain doesn't drain well. I had to wear chunky shower shoes my whole stay to not get my feet in the mini lake that would form. It's bareable if you keep the shower brief, the water pressure is really low anyway. If you have no other options, a bottle of perfume, and a decent lung capacity to hold your breath until you reach your room, you can make this place work. Don't pack too heavy though. The elevator was out. It's no fun dragging heavy luggage up a stair corridor that makes you gag.

Not great.

I was traveling with my young daughter. I did not feel safe the minute we walked into the lobby. The whole hotel smelled liked weed. There were bags of trash around the hallways, yet to be picked up.

The floor of the room was actually greasy at the entranceway. I took one look, and we left. There was no way I was staying there.

We ended up having to drive 40 minutes west for a new hotel, as it was a particularly busy weekend in the area, and many of the hotels were sold out.

When I called ahead to check on an early arrival they answered I said my name and date of arrival. Guy on the other end said twice “come at 11am” and then hung up on me! Upon arrival gentleman had no idea, but checked to see what room was cleaned. Good thing he found me a first floor room as the elevator was not working:/ I had a knee operation 3 1/2 months ago! That evening we were woken up with a barking dog running in the hallway? I didn’t know dogs were allowed? Then a woman yelling for anyone to help her that something happened ? Walks and floors above are very thin! All in all it worked out:)

This experience was awful.
I wish I listened to others when they responded how bad the smell was and how dirty the rooms were.
I stayed with my son for a recent soccer tournament and this place had a decent price and some decent reviews (those people are delusional)

Problems: 1. Dirty 2. The place smelled like smoke and weed and piss. 3. People are living here in their cars 4. Spoke with front desk about smell they said some people smoke but they’ll give me an air freshener. 5. Bugs.
I have a video to prove how dirty it is (can’t prove smell) can’t upload videos.
I didn’t feel comfortable neither did my son, and I am also sick and have broken out with hives because there are animals living on the premises. By the end of the 1st night I was expecting someone to ask for money or drugs. I wanted to leave but ALL the area was booked out.

Five hotels in the area. This was a simple overnight for youth sports. Classic case of you get what you pay for. I went with a cheap hotel based on pictures and other reviews. This hotel is run down, dirty and should be avoided with so many other options in the area. Parking lot full of garbage. Trash can at entrance overflowing. Massive ashtray filled with butts. Lobby worn and cluttered. Woman at the desk was very nice but quiet and apologetic. Never saw any other employees. Entire hotel smelled of weed. (Why does every limited service hotel smell like weed?) Elevator out of service. Third floor room. Not a big deal. Guest room tired. Paint chipped. Fingerprints everywhere. Crumbs still on top of the fridge. No coffee maker. Towel rack fell off. Toilet backed-up. Shower had no pressure as water continued out of the tub spout with just a trickle from the shower head. I hate giving bad reviews but this a factual account of the property. Just don't stay here. There are five hotels in the area. Spend the additional money. This place was gross.

Shower Issue / Run Down But Ok Otherwise

The elevator was broken but I knew that from other reviews. I was pleased that the front desk person waived a $250 security charge to make up for the elevator situation. The property is run down and there were a lot of trash bags in the hallways as other guests mentioned online. I wasn’t going to spend much time there so it was ok for my purposes. I was quite disappointed when barely any water came out of the shower head when I went to take a shower on the morning of departure. I had to plug the tub drain with a face towel to take a bath and it took a while to fill the tub. This delayed my exit. The bed was comfortable, my room was quiet, the air conditioning worked and my room was clean. Apparently this is no longer a corporate location and is privately owned.

I appreciate them but when u have guest chexking in and everyone speaks english that should what u speak cause then ppl wonder what u r aaying or if u r talking about them and all that.

The front desk staff are nice. But this location is very run down. The elevator did not work. The carpet was stained. There was a leak in the hall with a trash can collecting water. The entire hallway had water stains on the ceiling. There was a weird smell. The bathroom in my room looked like it had maybe been wiped down, but not cleaned. There was dirt and hair in the tub. There were layers of dried sprinkles next to the toilet. You could see where the mop barely swiped across the front. There were dirty hand prints on the bathroom door. The chair had a hand print on it, so I know that wasn't even wiped down. This is literally the worst place I have ever stayed. But I guess you get what you pay for. Although, the motel across the street looked nicer.

Upon arrival , the front entrance was not clean, front desk check-in smelled like cigarette smoke and trash. I was informed the elevator was broken and I was on the third floor, which wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t have alot of stuff. The room was very dirty, smelled like cigarettes and cat pee. It was too much of a hassle to switch hotels due to the fact it was late and we had a funeral in the morning. I had to go buy cleaning supplies and air fresheners to tolerate it. The smoke detector was missing also. Would not stay again, pictures on website are very misleading!

I was told the elevator was out of service, the room I booked was on the 3rd floor only,...switched my smaller room to 1st floor without compensation...room was filthy, bed not made, trash can overflowing, returned to front desk to be given a 2nd room that had a horrible odor so I sprayed disinfectant Lysol...when I opened the closet the smell was even stronger...someone has urinated in two towels, folded them up, and placed them on the top rack...I removed them with a trash can liner and took them to the front desk...I will NEVER stay there again...This property has changed and gives Sonesta a bad reputation!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

After this past weekend’s stay, unfortunately, I cannot give Sonesta Simply Suites Philadelphia Mount Laurel a 10-star rating. While there were some positive aspects to our visit, there were numerous issues that impacted our experience.
The positives:
Check-in was quick and efficient, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.
The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep.
The shower had excellent water pressure and hot water, which was very much appreciated.
The rate we received for our 3-night stay was very reasonable, providing good value for the cost.
However, there were several downsides that need addressing:
The room was dimly lit, and several lights were non-functional, including the lights in the bathroom.
The bathroom vent was inoperable, which contributed to poor air circulation.
The microwave’s range light was also broken.
The quality of the shower gel was subpar, which affected our overall experience.
The kitchen and bathroom floors were not clean upon arrival.
The kitchenette area lacked essential items, such as dish towels, and there weren’t enough utensils for proper use.
There were no premium TV channels available for entertainment.
Additional concerns:
The elevator was out of service during our stay, which was inconvenient.
The hallway had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke, which was unpleasant.
The parking lot was littered with debris and trash, giving a poor first impression.
Given these issues, we will not return!

I’ve been using this hotel for years, never any problems. This stay was the first time I had an actual issue. The staff and cleanliness was all still there but the comfortability was not. The elevator was out of order which mean using the steps every time you left the room and the thermostat in the room was also inoperable. Which meant whatever the temperature outside was, determined how cold/hot your room was.

This is usually one of my to go spots when I feel like getting away from home. Unfortunately this time it was not that pleasant. For starts the only elevator was out of service. There was a pile of trash with a strong urine odor next to the out front f service elevator.
When I finally reached the floor to my room there was not one but two full trashcans full of trash.

I stayed in Sonesta last year. The stay went well. That's why I returned this year. However, at 5 am this morning I turned the kitchen light on; only to see roaches crawling across the sink. There was no manager available in person or on call. I will contact him tomorrow morning to request a refund for my stay.
